On One Class of Systems of Differential Equations and on Retarded Equations

We establish a connection between solutions to a broad class of large systems of ordinary differential equations and solutions to retarded differential equations. We prove that solving the Cauchy problem for systems of ordinary differential equations reduces to solving the initial value problem for a retarded differential equation as the number of equations increases unboundedly. In particular, the class of systems under consideration contains a system of differential equations which arises in modeling of multiphase synthesis.

Some Results on Stability of Retarded Functional Differential Equations Using Dichotomic Map Techniques

This paper deals with the study of the stability of nonautonomous retarded functional differential equations using the theory of dichotomic maps. After some preliminaries, we prove the theorems on simple and asymptotic stability. Some examples are given to illustrate the application of the method. On Quasi-Periodic Solutions of Differential Equations with Piecewise Constant Argument

We study the existence of quasi-periodic solutions to differential equations with piecewise constant argument (EPCA, for short). It is shown that EPCA with periodic perturbations possess a quasi-periodic solution and no periodic solution. The appearance of quasi-periodic rather than periodic solutions is due to the piecewise constant argument. This new phenomenon illustrates a crucial difference between ODE and EPCA. The results are extended to nonlinear equations.

On a Sturm–Liouville type problem with retarded argument

In this work, a Sturm–Liouville‐type problem with retarded argument, which contains spectral parameter in the boundary conditions and with transmission conditions at the point of discontinuity are investigated.
