Synthesis,Crystal Structure and Antibacterial Activity of （E）-N1,N4-Bis（2,3,4-trimethoxy-6- methylbenzylidene）butane- 1,4-diamine

The title compound （E）-N1,N4-bis（2,3,4-trimethoxy-6-methylbenzylidene） butane- 1,4- diamine （C26H36N2O6, Mr = 472.57） was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to triclinic, space group C2/c with a = 36.102（4）, b = 5.6620（11）, c = 13.015（2）A,β = 105.491 （2）°, V = 2563.7（7）A3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.224 g/cm3, 2 = 0.71073 A,μ（MoKα） = 0.087 mm^-1, F（000） = 1016, the final R = 0.0456 and wR = 0.1257 for 2255 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the molecule adopts an E configuration about the central C=N functional bond. The phenyl rings of two 2,3,4-trimethoxy-6-methylbenzaldehyde groups are parallel by symmetry. The molecules are linked through π-π and C-H…π stacking interactions and C-H…O hydrogen bonding interactions. The title compound possesses moderate antibacterial activity.

The crystal belongs to triclinic, space group P2/c, with a = 8.5480（10）, b = 9.3710（12）, c = 15.280（2）A, β = 90.780（2）°, V= 1223.9（3）A3, Z = 2, Dc= 1.206 g/cm3, 2 = 0.71073A,μ（MoKa） = 0.087 mm^-1, F（000） = 476, the final R = 0.0680 and wR = 0.1450 for 2144 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the molecule adopts an E configuration about the central C=N functional bond. The phenyl rings of two 2,3,4-trimethoxy-6-methylbenzaldehyde groups are symmetrically parallel. The molecules are linked through C-H…O hydrogen bonding interactions. The title compound possesses moderate antibacterial activity.     

A New Terbium（III） Coordination Compound with 2-Thiophenecarboxylic Ligand： Synthesis and Crystal Structure①

A new coordination compound with formula [Tb（2-TC）3（DMF）]n （1, 2-TC = 2-thio- phenecarboxylic ligand and DMF = dimethylformamide） was synthesized by solvothermal method. The structure of compound 1 was determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses, and characterized by elemental analyses, IR and powder X-ray diffraction. Structure analysis reveals compound 1, exhibiting a one-dimensional chain structure, crystallizes in triclinic space group P21/c, with a = 9.2751（19）, b = 16.490（3）, c = 15.865（5） A, β = 118.98（2）°, V= 2122.7（9）A3, D,. = 1.916 g/cm3, Mr= 612.45 （C18H15NO7S3Tb）, F（000） = 1196,μ（MoKa） = 3.67 mm-1, Z = 4, R = 0.0616 and wR = 0.0962 for 3865 observed reflections （I 〉 2o（I））, and R = 0.1092 for all data. Meanwhile, the photoluminescent properties of compound 1 were also investigated in the solid state at room temperature.     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of 1,4-Dimethyl-2,5-di{[2′-（3-pyridylmethylamino- formyl）phenoxyl]methyl}benzene Perchlorate

The title compound, 1,4-dimethyl-2,5-di { [2′-（3-pyridylmethylaminoformyl）phenoxyl]- methyl}benzene perchlorate （C36H36Cl2N4O12, Mr = 787.59）, has been synthesized and structurally determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal crystallizes in the orthorhombic system, space group Pbca with a = 14.366（4）, b = 15.159（4）, c = 16.443（5）A, V = 3580.9（17）/A3 Z = 4, De = 1.461 g/cm^3, /t = 0.253 mm^-1, F（000） = 1640, R = 0.0618 and wR = 0.1525 for 1615 observed reflections （I 〉 2σ（I））. In the structure of the title compound, a two-dimensional supramolecular layer is formed via intermolecular hydrogen bonding interactions.     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of （E）2-（3′-Bromo- 5′-chloro-salicylidene amino）-4-methyl Pyridine

A new Schiff base compound, 2-bromo-4-chloro-6-[（4-methylpyridin-2-ylimino）methyl]phenol （C13H10BrClN20）, has been synthesized by the condensation of equimolar 3-bromo-5- chlorosalicylaldehyde and 4-methylpyridin-2-ylamine in a methanol solution. The compound was characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal belongs to the monoclinic system, space group P21 with a = 6.048（3）, b = 14.063（7）, c = 7.623（4） A,β = 97.703（7）°, Z = 2, V = 642.5（6）A3, Dc = 1.683 g/cm3, Mr=325.59, 2（MoKa） = 0.71073A,μ = 3.395 mm^-1, F（000） = 324, R = 0.0370 and wR = 0.0662. A total of 3879 reflections were collected, of which 1970 with I 〉 2σ（I） were observed. As expected, the molecule adopts a trans configuration about the C=N double bond. The benzene and pyridine rings are nearly coplanar （mean deviation from the combined plane is 0.031（3）A）, with their dihedral angle of 3.3（3）°. The preliminary biological tests show that the compound has excellent antibacterial activities.     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure Analysis of 4-Dibenzaldehydeamino-4H-1,2,4-triazole Diacetate

The new title compound 4-dibenzaldehydeamino-4H-1,2,4-triazole diacetate （C16H18N8O4,Mr = 386.38） has been prepared and its crystal structure was determined by single- crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is of monoclinic,space group P21/n with a = 8.1371（17）,b = 7.1237（12）,c = 16.325 （2）A,β = 100.366（2）°,V = 930.9（3） A^3,Z = 2,Dc = 1.378,F（000） = 404,μ = 0.104 mm^-1,MoKa radiation （λ = 0.71073 ）,R = 0.0307 and wR = 0.1196 for 4632 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that the molecule is not flat and the crystal structure is stabilized mainly by van der Waals interactions.     

Crystal Structure and Photochromism in Paint and Solutions of 2,2-Dithiophene-naphthopyran

The title compound 2,2-dithiophene-naphthopyran （C21H14OS2, Mr = 346.44） was synthesized and characterized by IR,^1lH NMR, elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. It belongs to the monoclinic system, space group P21/n, with a = 8.2349（14）, b = 6.1964（11）, c = 32.458（5）A, β= 95.051（3）°, V= 1649.8（5）A^3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.395 g/cm^3,μ = 0.327 cm^-1, F（000） = 720, the final R = 0.0559 and wR = 0.1442 for 3370 observed reflections （I 〉 2σ（I））. X-ray analysis revealed that the interatomic distance of C（13）-O（1） is 1.456（3）A, longer than that of normal C-O bond （1.41 - 1.43 A） in a six-membered heterocycle. The UV-vis spectra of the title compound showed that it exhibits excellent photochromic property in polyester coating and solutions.     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of 2-Ethoxy-3-n-butyl-benzofuro[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4（3H）-one

The crystal structure of the new title compound 2-ethoxy-3-n-butyl- benzofuro[2,3d]pyrimidin-4（3H）-one （C16H18N2O3, Mr = 286.32） has been prepared and determined by singlecrystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal is of monoclinic, space group P21/c with a = 13.7167（14）, b = 13.113（1）, c = 8.378（1） A, β = 98.992（2）^o, V = 1488.4（3） A^3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.278, F（000） = 608, μ = 0.089 mm^-1, MoKa radiation （2 = 0.71073）, R = 0.0498, wR = 0.1238 for 2336 observed reflections with I 〉 2σ（I）. X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that all ring atoms in the benzo[4, 5]furo [2,3-d] pyrimi- dinone moieties are almost coplanar.     

Synthesis and Crystal Structure of N,N＇-Bis-[3-chloro-5-S-（1-menthyloxy）- 2（5H）-4-furanon-yl]-propane-1,3-diamine

The title compound, N,N＇-bis-[3-chloro-5-S-（l-menthyloxy）-2（5H）-4-furanon-yl]- propane-l,3-diamine （C31H48Cl2N2O6, Mr = 615.61）, has been synthesized and characterized by IR, 1H NMR, MS, elemental analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystal crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2 with a = 16.1091（4）, b = 11.1880（3）, c = 19.2854（5） A, β = 106.297（2）°, V = 3336.12（15） A3, Z = 4, Dc = 1.226 mg/m3,μ = 0.237 mm^-1, F（000） = 1320, the final R = 0.0531 and wR = 0.0700 for 2760 observed reflections （I 〉 2σ（I））. X-ray analysis reveals that the title compound possesses four rings： two chiral five-membered furanone rings and two six-membered cyclohexane rings with chair conformation, containing eight chiral centers： C2（S）, C3（R）, C5（R）, C10（S）, C18（S）, C21（R）, C22（S） and C25（R）. The structure is stabilized by N-H…O hydrogen bonding interaction.     

Synthesis,Structure and Norbornene Polymerization Activity of a Novel Palladium（ II ） Complex with N,N＇-bis（2-benzoyl-3-oxobutane）-trans-l,2- diaminocyclohexane Ligand

The title complex N,N＇-bis（2-benzoyl-3-oxobutane）-trans-l,2-diaminocyclo- hexane-palladium （C28H28N2PdO4） has been synthesized by the reaction of N,N＇-bis（2- benzoyl-3-oxobutane）-trans-l,2-diamino-cyclohexane with PdCI2, and characterized by ele- mental analysis, IR spectrum, WAXD and TG. The spatial structures of the complex have been confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The compound crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group C2/c with a = 29.763（6）, b = 10.320（2）, c = 18.921（4） A, fl = 102.75（3）°, V = 5668（2） A3, C28H28N2PdO4·CH3OH, Mr = 594.97, Z = 8, Dc = 1.394 g/cm3, μ（MoKa） = 0.694 mm-1, F（000） = 2448, T= 293（2） K, R = 0.0572 and wR = 0.1347 （I〉 2σ（I））. The compound was investigated for the catalytic behavior towards norbornene （NB） vinyl addition polymerization. And the palladium complex showed excellent catalytic activity up to 9.97x 106g of PNB （mol of Pd）-1 h-1 with high monomer conversion using methylaluminoxane （MAO） as a cocatalyst.

The title compound N-phenyl-2-deoxy-D-ribopyranosylamine featuring a single conformation and pyranose-ring has been synthesized and characterized by NMR spectrum and X-ray diffraction.
