The high confinement mode(H-mode) operation is recently obtained in HL-2A divertor configuration,the corresponding edge localized mode(ELM) is recognized as being of type III.Time intervals in ELM time series are analysed to obtain the information about the ELM process.Signatures of unstable periodic orbits(UPOs) are detected,which are indicators of chaos and may be used to control the big ELM events. 相似文献

The spatial and temporal characteristics of the turbulence in the inboard and outboard scrape-off layer (SOL) of tokamak HYBTOK-II have been studied using poloidal probe array. Bursty behaviour with intermittent bursts was observed for both outboard and inboard SOL. In the inboard (high field side), high level of density fluctuations has been observed. The fluctuations in the high field side and low field side are identical in statistics that is non-Gaussian one. 相似文献

Experiments on edge turbulence in the TCV tokamak have been performed for the first time at the beginning of 2003. This paper presents an overview of some of the results obtained, concentrating in particular on two areas: universality of density fluctuations and the dynamical coupling between radial turbulent-driven fluxes and parallel flows.Plasma fluctuations in the edge of the TCV tokamak have been found to exhibit statistical properties which are universal across a broad range of discharge conditions. Analysis of the time series of density fluctuations in the entire scrape-off layer (SOL) region from just inside the magnetic separatrix to the plasma-wall interface, yields a probability distribution function (PDF) of density which conforms closely to a Gamma distribution. In the wall vicinity, the density fluctuations exhibit clear evidence of self-similarity and are characterised by a PDF with universal shape and with a standard deviation proportional to the mean density. It is also found that radial particle-flux fluctuations scale solely with the mean density. Such findings indicate that it may be possible to improve the prediction of transport in the critical plasma-wall interaction region of future large-scale tokamaks.Recent experiments on JET [C. Hidalgo et al.: Phys. Rev. Lett. 91 (2003) 065001] have investigated a possible link between turbulent transport and the parallel flows. Similar experiments have been performed on TCV for a variety of plasma conditions and flow magnitudes. In order to describe the characterization of resistive drift-wave fluctuation in a tokamak plasma,a coupled inviscid two-dimensional Hasegawa–Wakatani model is investigated.Two groups of new analytic solutions with and without phase shift between the fluctuant density and the fluctuant potential are obtained by using the special function transformation method.It is demonstrated that the fluctuant potential shares similar spatio–temporal variations with the density.It is found from the solutions without phase shift that the effect of the diffusion and adiabaticity on the fluctuant density is quite complex,and that the fluctuation may be controlled through the adiabaticity and diffusion.By using the typical parameters in the quasi-adiabatic regime in the solutions with phase shift,it is shown that the density gradient becomes larger as the contours become dense toward the plasma edge and the contours have irregular structures,which reveal the nonuniform distribution in the tokamak edge. 相似文献

Edge plasma properties have been modified in the Saskatchewan Torus-Modified tokamak by means of resonant magnetic perturbations (RMP). It has been found that the radial profiles of ion saturation current and floating potential in the edge region can be modified by an externally applied static (m?=?2, n?=?1) RMP field. An increase in the pedestal plasma density (n) and more negative electric field (Er) have been observed in the plasma edge region. It is believed that the RMP field altered the plasma transport in the edge and scrape-off layer regions, leading to a higher density pedestal and a potential drop in some cases. During the enhanced confinement phase, it is possible to identify a region where intermittent transport events, the so-called blobs, are created and the holes of lower density left behind. 相似文献

在HL-2A 装置实验中,通过对水平场加入方波扰动,实现了等离子体垂直运动。当等离子体向上垂直运动时,观察到了边缘局域模(ELM)缓解现象。研究发现,等离子体向上运动过程中边缘不断形成新的闭合磁面,导致等离子体体积膨胀,进而使台基宽度增加。此外,ELM 缓解期间杂质和工作气体再循环有所增加。等离子体向上运动过程中体积膨胀、工作气体再循环及杂质增加可能是导致ELM 缓解的主要物理因素。该实验可为未来聚变实验装置ELM 的控制提供一些参考。 相似文献

介绍了在SUNIST装置上进行的ECW辅助欧姆感应电流启动实验。在ECW(2.45GHz/20kW/10ms)和垂直场感应的共同作用下,先驱动起一个较小的等离子体电流(<1kA),再投入欧姆场,可以获得比常规欧姆放电更高的电流爬升速率,提高伏秒数的利用效率。这种启动方式为SUNIST欧姆放电提高了灵活性,可以在不进行硬件改动的前提下增加调节等离子体平衡的余量,拉长放电的持续时间。 相似文献

We investigate plasma turbulence at the scrape-off layer of TCABR tokamak. We apply a power spectral analysis to the magnetic Mirnov oscillations and electrostatic fluctuations, to quantify statistical properties and to estimate the turbulence-driven radial-particle flux. A distinctive peculiarity is the modulation of electrostatic turbulence by the Mirnov oscillations shown by the partial superposition of the frequency power spectra of these two oscillations. This characteristic allows us to investigate any possible influence of the Mirnov oscillations on particle transport. In fact, a significant part of this transport occurs at the Mirnov frequencies. The effect of this modulation is also analyzed for discharges modified by external perturbations, a DC biased electrode or an ergodic magnetic limiter.Presented at the Workshop Electric Fields Structures and Relaxation in Edge Plasmas, Nice, France, October 26–27, 2004. 相似文献

为在SUNIST球形托卡马克上进行MHD不稳定性控制研究,建立了一套外加n=1径向磁场系统。此径向磁场系统的电源能确保在1ms内达到电流峰值并维持3ms以上的电流平台,并且有快速关断功能。测试表明,此套径向磁场系统可以稳定可靠地提供在真空室中心产生以n=1模式为主的径向磁场,为开展控制MHD不稳定性研究奠定了基础。 相似文献

Experiments as well as some stochastic models have shown that behaviour of the transport in the edge plasma in fusion devices
should be considered as a multi-scale phenomenon. The multifractal statistics describes processes as a multiplicative cascade
with a complex self-similarity. The multifractal analysis, which enables to clearly demonstrate the turbulent properties of
plasma, was applied to fluctuating signals in the biasing experiments. The influence of the biasing parameters is shown. A
comparison with other types of the analysis is illustrated, too.

Limiters play a number of roles in the tokamak operation. It serves primarily to protect the wall from the plasma when there are disruptions, runaway electrons, or other instabilities and also the limiters localize the plasma–surface interaction. In this research, we presented the first results of movable limiter experiments and its effects on the tokamak plasma confinement. For this purpose, we designed, constructed, and installed a movable localized poloidal limiter, and then measured the effects of limiter position on the time intervals of plasma parameters such as plasma density, temperature, and energy confinement time. An analytical expression of the peeling mode in the near separatrix region of diverted tokamak plasma is derived. It is shown that in diverted plasmas both with single and double X points, though the perturbed potential energy of the unstable peeling mode tends to be large, its growth rate becomes very small due to the even larger kinetic energy. Compared to some recent studies that give qualitatively correct results about this growth rate, our result is directly related with the diverted equilibrium quantities suitable for application to realistic experiments. 相似文献
