A generalization to several variables of the Gauss hypergeometric series has been given in [13]. Defining generalized hypergeometric coefficients as Schur function transforms of this series, we develop here new properties and relations possessed by these coefficients. The purpose of this paper is to introduce and discuss a more general class of multiple Hermite polynomials. In this work, the explicit forms, operational formulas and a recurrence relation are obtained. Dirichlet integrals and the associated Dirichlet statistical densities are widely used in various areas. Generalizations of Dirichlet integrals and Dirichlet models to matrix-variate cases, when the matrices are real symmetric positive definite or hermitian positive definite, are available [4]. Real scalar variables case of the Dirichlet models are generalized in various directions. One such generalization of the type-2 or inverted Dirichlet is looked into in this article. Matrix-variate analogue, when the matrices are hermitian positive definite, are worked out along with some properties which are mathematically and statistically interesting.  相似文献

Generalized Jacobian elliptic functions play an important role in some bifurcation problems involving one-dimensional p-Laplacian. One of the goals of this paper is to investigate various kinds of concavity of these functions. In this paper, several distributional properties and characterization theorems of the generalized multivariate Pareto distributions are studied. It is found that the multivariate Pareto distributions have many mixture properties. They are mixed either by geometric, Weibull, or exponential variables. The multivariate Pareto, MP(k)(I), MP(k)(II), and MP(k)(IV) families have closure property under finite sample minima. The MP(k)(III) family is closed under both geometric minima and geometric maxima. Through the geometric minima procedure, one characterization theorem for MP(k)(III) distribution is developed. Moreover, the MP(k)(III) distribution is proved as the limit multivariate distribution under repeated geometric minimization. Also, a characterization theorem for the homogeneous MP(k)(IV) distribution via the weighted minima among the ordered coordinates is developed. Finally, the MP(k)(II) family is shown to have the truncation invariant property.  相似文献

Every n×nn×n generalized K-centrosymmetric matrix A   can be reduced into a 2×22×2 block diagonal matrix (see [Z. Liu, H. Cao, H. Chen, A note on computing matrix–vector products with generalized centrosymmetric (centrohermitian) matrices, Appl. Math. Comput. 169 (2) (2005) 1332–1345]). This block diagonal matrix is called the reduced form of the matrix A. In this paper we further investigate some properties of the reduced form of these matrices and discuss the square roots of these matrices. Finally exploiting these properties, the development of structure-preserving algorithms for certain computations for generalized K-centrosymmetric H-matrices is discussed.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce the Euler sequence space e r (p) of nonabsolute type and prove that the spaces e r (p) and l(p) are linearly isomorphic. Besides this, we compute the α-, β- and γ-duals of the space e r (p). The results proved herein are analogous to those in [ALTAY, B.—BASŠAR, F.: On the paranormed Riesz sequence spaces of non-absolute type, Southeast Asian Bull. Math. 26 (2002), 701–715] for the Riesz sequence space r q (p). Finally, we define a modular on the Euler sequence space e r (p) and consider it equipped with the Luxemburg norm. We give some relationships between the modular and Luxemburg norm on this space and show that the space e r (p) has property (H) but it is not rotund (R).  相似文献
