We consider holographic superconductors in a rotating black string spacetime. In view of the mandatory introduction of the \(A_\varphi \) component of the vector potential we are left with three equations to be solved. Their solutions show that the rotation parameter \(a\) influences the critical temperature \(T_\mathrm{c}\) and the conductivity \(\sigma \) in a simple but non-trivial way.  相似文献

We study the decays into six quarks of off-shell pairs of bosons produced in electron-positron annihilations, through the order in the strong coupling constant. We give explicit helicity amplitude formulae. We present numerical results in the context of phenomenological analyses of relevance at LEP2 and future Linear Colliders: such as determinations, New Physics and Higgs searches. We present an implementation of the vector boson pair production processes $ZZ$ , $W^+W^-$ and $WZ$ within the POWHEG-BOX-V2. This implementation, derived from the POWHEG BOX version, has several improvements over the old one, among which the inclusion of all decay modes of the vector bosons, the possibility to generate different decay modes in the same run, speed optimization and phase space improvements in the handling of interference and singly resonant contributions.  相似文献

The vanishing of the cross section for particular points in phase space – radiation zeros – is examined for the process at high energy. Unlike the process , actual zeros only occur in the soft-photon limit. However, for photon energies that are not too large, the cross section does exhibit deep dips in regions of phase space corresponding to the position of the actual zeros. We show that in these regions the sensitivity to possible anomalous quartic couplings is very large. Full one-loop electroweak corrections to the on-shell decay are computed in the framework of models with two Higgs doublets (THDM). Such a decay may be dominant for over a wide range of parameter space relevant at present and future colliders. We show that the corrections may approach 40% and in particular are sensitive to , which parameterizes the discrete symmetry breaking term. We suggest that a measurement of the branching ratio of may offer a possibility of measuring the magnitude of . We compute the fermionic radiative contributions to the decay in the framework of models with two Higgs doublets (2HDM), for the case of an on-shell and off-shell W. We show that, in the majority of the cases, current measurements of the parameter suggest and such decays could invalidate current charged Higgs searches or aid detection in the region . We find that the radiative corrections may approach 50% for small values of . Received: 22 April 1999 / Published online: 10 December 1999  相似文献

A study of W-pair production in annihilations at LEP is presented, based on candidates corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 57 pb at GeV. Assuming that the angular distributions of the W-pair production and decay, as well as their branching fractions, are described by the Standard Model, the W-pair production cross-section is measured to be pb. Assuming lepton universality and combining with our results from lower centre-of-mass energies, the W branching fraction to hadrons is determined to be %. The number of W-pair candidates and the angular distributions for each final state (, are used to determine the triple gauge boson couplings. After combining these values with our results from lower centre-of-mass energies we obtain , and , where the errors include both statistical and systematic uncertainties and each coupling is determined by setting the other two couplings to the Standard Model value. The fraction of W bosons produced with a longitudinal polarisation is measured to be . All these measurements are consistent with the Standard Model expectations. Fortran subroutines to calculate helicity amplitudes with massive spin-3/2 particles, such as massive gravitinos, which couple to the standard model and supersymmetric particles via the supercurrent, are added to the HELAS (HELicity Amplitude Subroutines) library. They are coded in such a way that arbitrary amplitudes with external gravitinos can be generated automatically by MadGraph, after slight modifications. All the codes have been tested carefully by making use of the gauge invariance of the helicity amplitudes.  相似文献

The QCD radiative corrections to charged current heavy quark production are given in the limit that the weak partner is massless, i.e. using a bottom structure function for top quark production. The results for charm production in neutrino nucleon scattering agree with those published before, but our method enables us to study all outgoing particles. The corrections to top production at the proposed LEP/LHC electroproton collider are discussed.  相似文献

Higgs boson mass sum rules of supersymmetric models offer attractive targets for precision tests at future muon colliders. These sum rules involve the gauge boson masses as well as the masses of the Higgs boson states which can be precisely measured in the s-channel production process at a muon collider. These measurements can sensitively probe radiative corrections to the Higgs boson masses as well as test for CP violation and nonminimality of the Higgs sector.  相似文献

In this paper we present the results obtained with the newly created standard SANC modules for calculation of the NLO QCD corrections to single top-quark-production processes in s and t channels at the partonic level, as well as to top-decays. The main aim of these results is to prove the correct work of modules. A comprehensive comparison with the results of the CompHEP system is given, where possible. These modules are intended to be used in Monte Carlo generators for single top-quark-production processes at the LHC. As in our recent paper, devoted to the electroweak corrections to these processes, we study the regularization of the top-legs associated infrared divergences with the aid of the complex mass of the top quark. A comparison of QCD corrections with those computed by the conventional method is presented both for top production and for decays. For s-channel production we give an analytic proof of equivalence of the two methods in the limit of low top width.  相似文献

We have calculated the complete electroweak radiative corrections to the single Higgs-boson production processes (l=e,μ,τ) in the electroweak Standard Model. Initial-state radiation beyond is included in the structure-function approach. The calculation of the corrections is briefly described, and numerical results are presented for the total cross-section. In the Gμ scheme, the bulk of the corrections is due to initial-state radiation, which affects the cross-section at the level of −7% at high energies and even more in the ZH threshold region. The remaining bosonic and fermionic corrections are at the level of a few percent. The confusing situation in the literature regarding differing results for the fermionic corrections to this process is clarified.  相似文献

We show that the problem of radiation reaction may be formulated in a space of five dimensions, with five corresponding gauge fields in the framework of the classical version of a fully gauge covariant form of the Stueckelberg–Feynman–Schwinger covariant mechanics (the zero mode fields of the 0,1,2,3 components correspond to the Maxwell fields). The particles and fields are not confined to their mass shells. We show that in the mass-shell limit, the generalized Lorentz force obtained by means of the retarded Green's functions for the five-dimensional field equations provides the classical Abraham–Lorentz–Dirac radiation reaction terms (with renormalized mass and charge). We also obtain general coupled equations for the orbit and the off-shell dynamical mass during the evolution as well as an autonomous nonlinear equation of third order for the off-shell mass. The theory does not admit radiation if the particle does not move off-shell. The structure of the equations implies that the mass-shell deviation is bounded when the external field is removed.  相似文献

QED radiative corrections to neutral current deep inelastic production of heavy quarks are calculated in the leading log approximation and compared with the corresponding corrections assuming a massless charm parton. Besides the inclusive case, corrections to the semi-inclusive and the effect of -cuts are studied. In the latter case, the massless corrections differ from the correct massive radiative corrections to deep inelastic heavy quark production by about 40%–10% for .
