In this paper, we use the bifurcation method of dynamical systems to study the periodic wave solutions and their limits for the modified Kd V–KP equations. Some explicit periodic wave solutions are obtained. These solutions contain smooth periodic wave solutions and periodic blow-up solutions. Their limits contain solitary wave solutions, periodic wave solutions, kink wave solutions and unbounded solutions.  相似文献

In this paper we study several qualitative properties of the Degasperis-Procesi equation. We first established the precise blow-up rate and then determine the blow-up set of blow-up strong solutions to this equation for a large class of initial data. We finally prove the existence and uniqueness of global weak solutions to the equation provided the initial data satisfies appropriate conditions.  相似文献

The generalized Jang equation was introduced in an attempt to prove the Penrose inequality in the setting of general initial data for the Einstein equations. In this paper we give an extensive study of this equation, proving existence, regularity, and blow-up results. In particular, precise asymptotics for the blow-up behavior are given, and it is shown that blow-up solutions are not unique.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the blow-up problem for positive solutions of a semidiscretization in space of the heat equation in one space dimension with a nonlinear flux boundary condition and a nonlinear absorption term in the equation. We obtain that, for a certain range of parameters, the continuous problem has blow-up solutions but the semidiscretization does not and the reason for this is that a spurious attractive steady solution appears.

This paper deals with the blow-up of positive solutions for a nonlinear reaction-diffusion equation subject to nonlinear boundary conditions. We obtain the conditions under which the solutions may exist globally or blow up in finite time. Moreover, an upper bound of the blow-up time, an upper estimate of the blow-up rate, and an upper estimate of the global solutions are given. At last we give two examples to which the theorems obtained in the paper may be applied.  相似文献

In this article, we study the blow-up solutions for a case of b-family equations.Using the qualitative theory of differential equations and the bifurcation method of dynamical systems, we obtain five types of blow-up solutions: the hyperbolic blow-up solution, the fractional blow-up solution, the trigonometric blow-up solution, the first elliptic blow-up solution, and the second elliptic blow-up solution. Not only are the expressions of these blow-up solutions given, but also their relationships are discovered. In particular, it is found that two bounded solitary solutions are bifurcated from an elliptic blow-up solution.  相似文献

In this paper, we discuss a generalized Camassa–Holm equation whose solutions are velocity potentials of the classical Camassa–Holm equation. By exploiting the connection between these two equations, we first establish the local well-posedness of the new equation in the Besov spaces and deduce several blow-up criteria and blow-up results. Then, we investigate the existence of global strong solutions and present a class of cuspon weak solutions for the new equation.  相似文献

This work is devoted to the solvability and finite time blow-up of solutions of the Cauchy problem for the dissipative Boussinesq equation in all space dimension. We prove the existence and uniqueness of local mild solutions in the phase space by means of the contraction mapping principle. By establishing the time-space estimates of the corresponding Green operators, we obtain the continuation principle. Under some restriction on the initial data, we further study the results on existence and uniqueness of global solutions and finite time blow-up of solutions with the initial energy at three different level. Moreover, the sufficient and necessary conditions of finite time blow-up of solutions are given.  相似文献

We present results for finite time blow-up for filtration problems with nonlinear reaction under appropriate assumptions on the nonlinearities and the initial data. In particular, we prove first finite time blow-up of solutions subject to sufficiently large initial data provided that the reaction term “overpowers” the nonlinear diffusion in a certain sense. Secondly, under related assumptions on the nonlinearities, we show that initial data above positive stationary state solutions will always lead to finite time blow-up.  相似文献

In this paper, we obtain a blow-up criterion for classical solutions to the 3-D compressible Navier-Stokes equations just in terms of the gradient of the velocity, analogous to the Beal-Kato-Majda criterion for the ideal incompressible flow. In addition, the initial vacuum is allowed in our case.  相似文献

In this paper, we study a Cauchy problem for the equations of 3D compressible viscoelastic fluids with vacuum. We establish a blow-up criterion for the local strong solutions in terms of the upper bound of the density and deformation gradient.  相似文献

The initial-boundary value problem for semilinear wave equation systems with a strong dissipative term in bounded domain is studied. The existence of global solutions for this problem is proved by using potential well method, and the exponential decay of global solutions is given through introducing an appropriate Lyapunov function. Meanwhile, blow-up of solutions in the unstable set is also obtained.  相似文献

In this paper, we derive blow-up rates for higher-order semilinear parabolic equations and systems. Our proof is by contradiction and uses a scaling argument. This procedure reduces the problems of blow-up rate to Fujita-type theorems. In addition, we also give some new Fujita-type theorems for higher-order semilinear parabolic equations and systems with the time variable on R. These results are not restricted to positive solutions.  相似文献

In this paper we establish the exact blow-up rate of the large solutions of a porous media logistic equation. We consider the carrying capacity function with a general decay rate at the boundary instead of the usual cases when it can be approximated by a distant function. Obtaining the accurate blow-up rate allows us to establish the uniqueness result. Our result covers all previous results on the ball domain and can be further adapted in a more general domain.  相似文献

In this article, we consider a two-component nonlinear shallow water system, which includes the famous 2-component Camassa-Holm and Degasperis-Procesi equations as special cases. The local well-posedess for this equations is established. Some sufficient conditions for blow-up of the solutions in finite time are given. Moreover, by separation method, the self-similar solutions for the nonlinear shallow water equations are obtained, and which local or global behavior can be determined by the corresponding Emden equation.  相似文献

In this paper we present existence of blow-up solutions for elliptic equations with semilinear boundary conditions that can be posed on all domain boundary as well as only on a part of the boundary. Systems of ordinary differential equations are obtained by semidiscretizations, using finite elements in the space variables. The necessary and sufficient conditions for blow-up in these systems are found. It is proved that the numerical blow-up times converge to the corresponding real blow-up times when the mesh size goes to zero.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the classical Drinfel’d–Sokolov–Wilson equation (DSWE)
where p, q, r, s are some nonzero parameters. Some explicit expressions of solutions for the equation are obtained by using the bifurcation method and qualitative theory of dynamical systems. These solutions contain solitary wave solutions, blow-up solutions, periodic solutions, periodic blow-up solutions and kink-shaped solutions. Some previous results are extended.  相似文献
