A new coumarin glycoside lariside — C21H26O13, mp 155–156°C (from methanol) — has been isolated from the epigeal part ofSalsola laricifolia Turcz. et Litw. Summary From the lipophilic fraction of the substances from the herbage ofThermopsis alterniflora we have isolated a molecular compound of two flavonoids, one of which has been identified as chrysoeriol, while the second, with the composition C16H12O5, mp 274–275°C, is a new isoflavone which we have called teralin. From the results of an x-ray structural analysis of free dictysine it has been established that dictysine is an alkaloid of the denudatine type with an, , -triol system at C15, C16, and C20. A new N-benzylisoquinoline alkaloid — intebrine, with the composition C20H19NO7 — has been isolated fromBerberis integerrima Bunge. The presence of an -oriented hydroxy group at C8 in a guaianolide promotes the stereospecificity of the amination of an exomethylene bond linked with the -lactone grouping. The new phytoecdysteroid 5-ecdysterone 22-O-benzoate (I), C34H48O3, mp 262–274°C (methanol-water) [] D 20 +45.8° (methanol), has been isolated from the epigeal organ ofSilene scarbiofolia Kom. It has been shown that in lipid dispersions thionin causes the formation of heterogeneous structures with the production of lipid-enriched clusters melting at elevated temperatures. This effect of thionin depends on the type of acidic lipid.
