This report presents a new set of heat capacity data for the system piperazine {(PZ) + 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP) + water (H2O)}, measured using the differential scanning calorimetry technique, over the temperature range 303.2 K to 353.2 K and at fourteen (14) different concentrations in which the water mole fractions, x3’s, were fixed at 0.60, 0.70, 0.80, and 0.90. Heat capacity for the binary system {PZ (1) + AMP (2)} at x1 = 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, and 0.20 were, likewise, measured to generate parameters necessary in the Redlich–Kister-type model, which was used to estimate excess molar heat capacities. Such estimates were then used to predict the values of the molar heat capacity at the corresponding sets of temperature and concentration. The predicted values were subsequently compared against the measured values and the results are satisfactory.  相似文献

In this study, a new set of data for the equilibrium solubility of carbon dioxide in the amine solvent system that consists of triethanolamine (TEA), piperazine (PZ), and water is presented. Equilibrium solubility values were obtained at T = (313.2, 333.2, and 353.2) K and pressures up to 153 kPa using the vapour-recirculation equilibrium cell. The TEA concentrations in the considered ternary (solvent) mixture were (2 and 3) kmol · m?3 and those of PZ’s were (0.5, 1.0, and 1.5) kmol · m?3. The solubility data (CO2 loading in the amine solution) obtained were correlated as a function of CO2 partial pressure, system temperature, and amine composition via the modified Kent–Eisenberg model. Results showed that the model applied is generally satisfactory in representing the CO2 absorption into mixed aqueous solutions of TEA and PZ.  相似文献

In this work, a new set of values for the solubility of carbon dioxide in aqueous mixture containing different concentrations of 2-amino-2-methyl-1-propanol (AMP), a sterically-hindered amine, and piperazine (PZ), an activator, are presented. The results were carefully determined using a 1.0 dm3 stainless steel vapour-recirculation equilibrium cell at T = (313.2, 333.2, and 353.2) K, and pressures up to 152 kPa. The AMP concentrations in the ternary (solvent) mixture were (2 and 3) kmol · m?3; those of PZ’s were (0.5, 1.0, and 1.5) kmol · m?3. The measured equilibrium loading (solubility)/partial pressure pairs at different temperatures and concentration levels were generally consistent with the corresponding values correlated from the Kent–Eisenberg model that has been adapted for the system in the study, where the parameters of the models were determined using the results from this study and relevant data from literature.  相似文献

(Liquid  +  liquid) equilibrium data of (tert amyl ethyl ether  +  ethanol  +  water) were determined experimentally atT =  (298.15, 308.15, and 318.15) K. The experimental results were correlated with the NRTL and UNIQUAC equations. The correlations were made at each temperature and for the three temperatures simultaneously. The best results were achieved with the NRTL equation, using α =  0.2 for the individual correlations at each temperature and α =  0.1 for the overall correlation. The experimental data were also compared with predicted values by the UNIFAC method.  相似文献

This report presents a new set of values for the solubility of carbon dioxide in the solvent system {water (1) + monoethanolamine (2) + triethanolamine (3)} at T = (313.2, 333.2, 353.2, and 373.2) K and CO2 partial pressures ranging (1.0 to 120) kPa. The results are specific to solvent systems with the following compositions: (i) ω2 = 0.24, ω3 = 0.06, (ii) ω2 = 0.18, ω3 = 0.12, (iii) ω2 = 0.12, ω3 = 0.18, (iv) ω2 = 0.06, ω3 = 0.24, and (v) ω2 = 0, ω3 = 0.30, where ω refers to the mass fraction of the component. The results fit the Deshmukh and Mather model well.  相似文献

The three-phase equilibrium conditions of ternary (hydrogen + tert-butylamine + water) system were first measured under high-pressure in a “full view” sapphire cell. The tert-butylamine–hydrogen binary hydrate phase transition points were obtained through determining the points of intersection of three phases (H–Lw–V) to two phases (Lw–V) experimentally. Measurements were made using an isochoric method. Firstly, (tetrahydrofuran + hydrogen) binary hydrate phase equilibrium data were determined with this method and compared with the corresponding experimental data reported in the literatures and the acceptable agreements demonstrated the reliability of the experimental method used in this work. The experimental investigation on (tert-butylamine + hydrogen) binary hydrate phase equilibrium was then carried out within the temperature range of (268.4 to 274.7) K and in the pressure range of (9.54 to 29.95) MPa at (0.0556, 0.0886, 0.0975, and 0.13) mole fraction of tert-butylamine. The three-phase equilibrium curve (H + Lw + V) was found to be dependent on the concentration of tert-butylamine solution. Dissociation experimental results showed that tert-butylamine as a hydrate former shifted hydrate stability region to lower pressure and higher temperature.  相似文献

The separation of methane and ethane through forming hydrate is a possible choice in natural gas, oil processing, or ethylene producing. The hydrate formation conditions of five groups of (methane + ethane) binary gas mixtures in the presence of 0.06 mole fraction tetrahydrofuran (THF) in water were obtained at temperatures ranging from (277.7 to 288.2) K. In most cases, the presence of THF in water can lower the hydrate formation pressure of (methane + ethane) remarkably. However, when the composition of ethane is as high as 0.832, it is more difficult to form hydrate than without THF system. Phase equilibrium model for hydrates containing THF was developed based on a two-step hydrate formation mechanism. The structure of hydrates formed from (methane + ethane + THF + water) system was also determined by Raman spectroscopy. When THF concentration in initial aqueous solution was only 0.06 mole fraction, the coexistence of structure I hydrate dominated by ethane and structure II hydrate dominated by THF in the hydrate sample was clearly demonstrated by Raman spectroscopic data. On the contrary, only structure II hydrate existed in the hydrate sample formed from (methane + ethane + THF + water) system when THF concentration in initial aqueous solution was increased to 0.10 mole fraction. It indicated that higher THF concentration inhibited the formation of structure I hydrate dominated by ethane and therefore lowered the trapping of ethane in hydrate. It implies a very promising method to increase the separation efficiency of methane and ethane.  相似文献

Isobaric (vapour + liquid + liquid) equilibria were measured for the (di-n-propyl ether + n-propyl alcohol + water) and (diisopropyl ether + isopropyl alcohol + water) system at 100 kPa.The apparatus used for the determination of (vapour + liquid + liquid) equilibrium data was an all-glass dynamic recirculating still with an ultrasonic homogenizer couple to the boiling flask. The experimental data demonstrated the existence of a heterogeneous ternary azeotrope for both ternary systems. The (vapour + liquid + liquid) equilibria data were found to be thermodynamically consistent for both systems. The experimental data were compared with the estimation using UNIQUAC and NRTL models and the prediction of UNIFAC model.  相似文献

The equilibrium solubility of sodium 2-naphthalenesulfonate in binary (sodium chloride + water), (sodium sulfate + water), and (ethanol + water) solvent mixtures was measured at elevated temperatures from (278.15 to 323.15) K using a steady-state method. With increasing temperatures, the solubility increases in aqueous solvent mixtures. The results of these results were regressed by a modified Apelblat equation. The dissolution entropy and enthalpy determined using the method of the least-squares and the change of Gibbs free energy calculated with the values of ΔdiffSo and ΔdiffHo at T = 278.15 K.  相似文献

The solubility of sodium 3-sulfobenzoate in binary (sodium chloride + water), (sodium sulfate + water), and (ethanol + water) solvent mixtures was measured at elevated temperatures from (278.15 to 323.15) K by a steady-state method. The results of these experiments were correlated by a modified Apelblat equation. The dissolution enthalpy and entropy of sodium 3-sulfobenzoate in aqueous solutions of different mole fraction were obtained.  相似文献

The osmotic coefficients of aqueous calcium chloride solutions were experimentally determined atT =  313.15 K by the isopiestic method. Magnesium chloride served as the isopiestic standard for the calculation of osmotic coefficients. The molality range covered in this study correspond to about 0.1mol · kg  1to 3.0mol · kg  1. In addition, the osmotic coefficients of aqueous mixtures of calcium chloride and magnesium chloride were determined over the range of ionic strength levels of about 0.1mol · kg  1to 9mol · kg  1and at various mole fractions. The results obtained were correlated by the Pitzer equation.  相似文献

(Liquid + liquid) equilibrium (LLE) data for the (water + butyric acid + dodecanol) ternary system have been determined experimentally at T = (298.2, 308.2 and 318.2) K. Complete phase diagrams were obtained by determining binodal curves and tie lines. The reliability of the experimental tie lines was confirmed by using the Othmer–Tobias correlation. The UNIFAC method was used to predict the phase equilibrium in the ternary system using the interaction parameters determined from experimental data of CH3, CH2, COOH, OH and H2O functional groups. Distribution coefficients and separation factors were evaluated for the immiscibility region.  相似文献

Experimental isobaric (vapor + liquid + liquid) and (vapor + liquid) equilibrium data for the ternary system {water (1) + cyclohexane (2) + heptane (3)} and the quaternary system {water (1) + ethanol (2) + cyclohexane (3) + heptane (4)} were measured at 101.3 kPa. An all-glass, dynamic recirculating still equipped with an ultrasonic homogenizer was used to determine the VLLE. The results obtained show that the system does not present quaternary azeotropes. The point-by-point method by Wisniak for testing the thermodynamic consistency of isobaric measurements was used to test the equilibrium data.  相似文献

A study of the (difluoromethane + water) system was conducted at temperatures between (255 and 298) K, and pressures from (0.06 to 1.30) MPa. The solubility of difluoromethane in liquid water was measured from (280 to 298) K, at pressures up to the hydrate formation pressure. The (p, T) behavior of the (liquid + hydrate + vapor) three-phase equilibrium was measured from (274 to 292) K. The (p, T) behavior of the (ice + hydrate + vapor) three-phase equilibrium was measured from (257 to 273) K. Solubility-corrected enthalpies of dissociation were determined at the lower quadruple point (Q1) using the Clapeyron equation. The de Forcrand method was used to determine the hydration number of the hydrate at Q1. The results show that not all of the cages in the SI hydrate structure are filled.  相似文献

In this work a thermodynamic assessment of the (LiF + NaF + CaF2 + LaF3) system is reported. For the thermodynamic modeling of the liquid phase, the classical polynomial model, and the modified quasi-chemical model were used in parallel and compared. The extrapolation to higher order systems was done according to the Toop mathematical formalism. Furthermore, differential-scanning calorimetry data of the ternary (LiF + CaF2 + LaF3), (NaF + CaF2 + LaF3), and the quaternary (LiF + NaF + CaF2 + LaF3) mixtures are presented. Good agreement between the experimental data and the thermodynamic assessment was obtained.  相似文献

Precise excess volumes of mixing measurements at T = 313.15 K are reported over the whole composition range for binary mixtures: (N,N-dimethylacetamide + water), (N,N-dimethylacetamide + methanol), (N,N-dimethylacetamide + ethanol) and for the ternary mixtures (N,N-dimethylacetamide + methanol + water) and (N,N-dimethylacetamide + ethanol + water). For all the systems, large negative deviations from ideality are observed. The binary results have been fitted using the Redlich–Kister type polynomial. The possibility of predicting the ternary results from the binary ones was examined.  相似文献

Experimental tie-line results and phase diagrams were obtained for the ternary systems of {water + propionic acid + organic solvent (cyclohexane, toluene, and methylcyclohexane)} at T = 303.2 K and atmospheric pressure. The organic solvents were two cycloaliphatic hydrocarbons (i.e., cyclohexane and methylcyclohexane) and an aromatic hydrocarbon (toluene). The experimental tie-lines values were also compared with those calculated by the UNIQUAC and NRTL models. The consistency of the values of the experimental tie-lines was determined through the Othmer–Tobias and Hands plots. Distribution coefficients and separation factors were evaluated over the immiscibility regions and a comparison of the extracting capabilities of the solvents was made with respect to distribution coefficients and separation factors. The Kamlet LSER model was applied to correlate distribution coefficients and separation factors in these ternary systems. The LSER model values showed a good regression to the experimental results.  相似文献

Total vapour pressures, measured at the temperature 313.15 K, are reported for the ternary mixture (N,N-dimethylacetamide + ethanol + water), and for binary constituent (N,N-dimethylacetamide + ethanol). The present results are also compared with previously obtained data for (amide + ethanol) binary mixtures, where amide = N-methylformamide, N,N-dimethylformamide, N-methylacetamide, 2-pyrrolidinone, and N-methylpyrrolidinone. We found that excess Gibbs free energy of mixing for binary (amide + ethanol) mixtures varies roughly linearly with the molar volume of amide.  相似文献

A complete critical evaluation of all available phase diagram and thermodynamic data has been performed for all condensed phases of the (LiF + NaF + KF + MgF2 + CaF2 + SrF2) system, and optimized model parameters have been found. The (LiF + NaF + KF + MgF2 + CaF2) subsystem has been critically evaluated in a previous article. The model parameters obtained for the binary and ternary subsystems can be used to predict thermodynamic properties and phase equilibria for the multicomponent system. The Modified Quasichemical Model for short-range ordering was used for the molten salt phase, and the low-temperature and high-temperature (CaF2 + SrF2) solid solutions were modelled using a cationic substitutional model with an ideal entropy and an excess Gibbs free energy expressed as a polynomial in the component mole fractions. Finally, the (Li, Na, K)(Mg, Ca, Sr)F3 perovskite phase was modelled using the Compound Energy Formalism.  相似文献

A critical evaluation of all available thermodynamic and (solid + liquid) phase equilibrium data for the (Ca + C + O + S) system has been performed. The liquid phase was modelled using the Modified Quasichemical Model in the pair approximation. The present database reproduces the (solid + liquid) equilibria of the experimentally studied subsystems of the (Ca + C + O + S) system within the experimental error limits. Estimations of the phase equilibria of systems lacking experimental data were made. The database of thermodynamic data for all phases can be used, along with other databases and Gibbs free energy minimization software, to calculate the phase equilibria and all thermodynamic properties of (Ca + C + O + S) mixtures, which are of great importance for several industrially relevant processes.  相似文献
