The decomposition of methane on Ni/a-Al2O3 modified by La2O3 and CeO2 with differ-ent contents has been investigated and the ralationship between methane decomposition and removal of carbon by CO2 over these catalyst has also been studied by pulse-chromatography. The catalysts were characterized by TPR and XRD. It was shown that Ni/a-Al2O3 could be promoted by adding La2O3, and the carbon species produced over this catalyst was activated and eliminated by CO2. But CeO2 would suppress the decomposition of methane over Ni crystallite. Both La2O3 and CeO2 can inhibit aggregation of the Ni particles. Decomposition of methane over the Ni-based catalysts is structure sensitive to a certain extent.  相似文献

The Ni/Mo/SBA-15 catalyst was modified by La2O3 in order to improve its thermal stability and carbon deposition resistance during the CO2 reforming of methane to syngas. The catalytic performance, thermal stability, structure, dispersion of nickel and carbon deposition of the modified and unmodified catalysts were comparatively investigated by many characterization techniques such as N2 adsorption, H2-TPR, CO2-TPD, XRD, FT-IR and SEM. It was found that the major role of La2O3 additive was to improve the pore structure and inhibit carbon deposition on the catalyst surface. The La2O3 modified Ni/Mo/SBA-15 catalyst possessed a mesoporous structure and high surface area. The high surface area of the La2O3 modified catalysts resulted in strong interaction between Ni and Mo-La, which improved the dispersion of Ni, and retarded the sintering of Ni during the CO2 reforming process. The reaction evaluation results also showed that the La2O3 modified Ni/Mo/SBA-15 catalysts exhibited high stability.  相似文献

The catalyst screening tests for carbon dioxide oxidative coupling of methane (CO2-OCM) have been investigated over ternary and binary metal oxide catalysts. The catalysts are prepared by doping MgO- and CeO2-based solids with oxides from alkali (Li2O), alkaline earth (CaO), and transition metal groups (WO3 or MnO). The presence of the peroxide (O2-2) active sites on the Li2O2, revealed by Raman spectroscopy, may be the key factor in the enhanced performance of some of the Li2O/MgO catalysts. The high reducibility of the CeO2 catalyst, an important factor in the CO2-OCM catalyst activity, may  相似文献

Direct decomposition of methane was carried out using a fixed-bed reactor at 700℃for the production of COx-free hydrogen and carbon nanofibers. The catalytic performance of NiO-M/SiO2 catalysts (where M=AgO, CoO, CuO, FeO, MnOx and MoO) in methane decomposition was investigated. The experimental results indicate that among the tested catalysts, NiO/SiO2 promoted with CuO give the highest hydrogen yield. In addition, the examination of the most suitable catalyst support, including Al2O3, CeO2, La2O3, SiO2, and TiO2, shows that the decomposition of methane over NiO-CuO favors SiO2 support. Furthermore, the optimum ratio of NiO to CuO on SiO2 support for methane decomposition was determined. The experimental results show that the optimum weight ratio of NiO to CuO fell at 8:2 (w/w) since the highest yield of hydrogen was obtained over this catalyst.  相似文献

Effects of reaction temperature and methane gas hourly space velocity (GHSV) on methane decomposition over non-supported Ni catalyst have been investigated in this work.Methane molecules activation,Ni particles growth and nano-carbon diffusion were the main factors influencing methane decomposition stability of non-supported Ni.The results of methane decomposition activity test on the non-supported Ni catalyst showed that the prepared non-supported Ni could exhibit a good methane decomposition performance with 273 gC/gNi and 2667 molH2/molNi at 500 -C and 45000 mL/(gcat h).Scanning electron microscope (SEM),X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) and temperature-programmed oxi- dation (TPO) have been carried out to characterize the used catalysts. The deposited carbon was carbon nanofibers, among which graphitic carbon formation increased with the reaction time of methane decomposition.Ni particle size was not the decisive factor during the carbon growing stage.  相似文献

CO2 methanation has been a hot topic because of its important application in the spacecraft and potential utilization of carbon dioxide. Nickel catalyst is active for this reaction. However, its activity still needs to be improved. Dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) plasma, initiated at ambient condition and operated at ~150 °C,has been employed in this work for decomposition of nickel precursor to prepare Ni/Mg Al2O4. The plasma decomposition results in high dispersion, unique structure, enhanced reducibility of Ni particles and promoted catalyst-support interaction. An improved activity of CO2 methanation with a higher yield of methane has been achieved over the plasma decomposed catalyst, compared to the catalyst prepared thermally. For example, the methane yield of the plasma prepared catalyst is 71.8% at 300 °C but it is 62.9% over the thermal prepared catalyst. The catalyst characterization confirmed that CO2 methanation over the DBD plasma prepared catalyst follows pathway of CO methanation.  相似文献

The catalyst screening tests for carbon dioxide oxidative coupling of methane (CO2-OCM)have been investigated over ternary and binary metal oxide catalysts. The catalysts are prepared by doping MgO-and CeO2-based solids with oxides from alkali(Li2O),alkaline earth (CaO),and transition metal groups (WO3 or MnO).The presence of the peroxide (O2^2-)active sites on the Li2O2,revealed by Raman spectroscopy, may be the key factor in the enhanced performance of some of the Li2O/MgO catalysts. The high reducibility of the CeO2 catalyst,an important factor in the CO2-OCM catalyst activity, may be enhanced by the presence of manganese oxide species. The manganese oxide species increases oxygen mobitity and oxygen vacancies in the CeO2 catalyst.raman and Fourier Transform Infra Red (FT-IR)spectroscopies revealed the presence of lattice vibrations of metal-oxygen bondings and active sites in which the peaks carresponding to the buld crystalline structures of Li2O,CaO,WO2 and MnO are detected. The performance of 5%MnO/15?O/CeO2 catalyst is the most potential among the CeO2-based catalysts, although lower than the 2%Li2O/MgO catalyst. The 2%Li2O/MgO catalyst showed the most promising C2 hydrocarbons selectivity and yield at 98.0%and 5.7%,respectively.  相似文献

Ni/α-Al2O3 catalysts were found to be active in the temperature range 600 ~ 900℃ for both CO2 reforming and partial oxidation of methane. The effects of Ni loading, reaction temperature and feed gas ratio for the combination of CO2 reforming and partial oxidation of CH4 over Ni/α-Al2O3 were investigated.Catalysts of xwt%Ni/α-Al2O3(x=2.5,5,8 and 12) were prepared by wet impregnating the calcined support with a solution of nickel nitrate.XRD patterns and activity tests have verified that the 5wt%Ni/α-Al2O3 was the most active catalyst,as compared with the other prepared catalyst samples. An increase of the Ni loading to more than 5wt% led to a reduction in the Ni dispersion. In addition,by combining the endothermic carbon dioxide reforming reaction with the exothermic partial oxidation reaction, the loss of catalyst activity with time on stream was reduced with the amount of oxygen added to the feed.  相似文献

A novel K2O and La2O3 promoted nickel catalyst supported on a-Al2O3 was prepared by co-impregnation method, and it exhibited higher activity and 6-aminocapronitrile selectivity than Ni/a-Al2O3 during the hydrogenation of adiponitrile in the absence of ammonia, i.e., K2O and La2O3 improved the performance of the nickel-based catalyst.  相似文献

The Ni-CeO2/Al2O3 catalysts with a nickel content of 15 wt% prepared via impregnating boehmite were found to be highly active and stable for methanation of carbon dioxide with hydrogen at a H2/CO2 molar ratio of 4.The effects of CeO2 content and reaction temperature on the performance of the Ni-CeO2/Al2O3 catalysts were studied in detail. The results showed that the catalytic performance was strongly dependent on the CeO2 content in Ni-CeO2/Al2O3 catalysts and that the catalysts with 2 wt%CeO2 had the highest catalytic activity among the tested ones at 350℃.The XRD and H2-TPR characterizations revealed that the addition of CeO2 decreased the reduction temperature by altering the interaction between Ni and Al2O3,and improved the reducibility of the catalyst.Preliminary stability test of 120 h on stream over the Ni-2CeO2/Al2O3 catalyst at 350℃ revealed that the catalyst was much better than the unpromoted one.  相似文献

A series of SBA-15 supported bimetallic Rh–Ni catalysts with different weight ratio of Rh/Ni in the range of 0–0.04 were prepared for carbon dioxide reforming of methane. The doping effect of Rh on catalytic activity as well as carbon accumulation and removal over the catalysts was studied. The characterization results indicated that the addition of a small amount of Rh promoted the reducibility of Ni particles and decreased the Ni particle size. During the dry reforming reaction, the carbon deposition was originated from CH4 decomposition and CO disproportionation. The Rh–Ni catalyst with small metallic particle size inhibited the carbon formation and exhibited high efficiency in the removal of coke. In comparison with bare Ni-based catalyst, the Rh–Ni bimetallic catalysts showed high activity and stability in the dry reforming of methane.  相似文献

Combination of partial oxidation of methane (POM) with carbon dioxide reforming of methane (CRM) has been studied over Ru-based catalysts at 550℃.POM,CRM and combined reaction were performed over 8wt%Ru/γ-Al2O 3 and the results show that both POM and CRM contribute to the combined reaction, between which POM plays a more important role. Moreover, the addition of Ce to Ru-based catalyst results in an improvement in the activity and CO selectivity under the adopted reaction conditions. The Ce-doped catalyst was characterized by N2 adsorption-desorption,SEM,XRD,TPR,XPS and in situ DRIFTS.The mechanism has been studied by in situ DRIFTS together with the temperature distribution of catalyst bed.The mechanism of the combined reaction is more complicated and it is the combination of POM and CRM mechanisms in nature. The present paper provides a new catalytic system to activate CH4 and CO2 at a rather low temperature.  相似文献

It has been reported that methane coupling by plasma techniques with catalysts, such as direct current corona discharge with a Sr/La2O3 catalyst[1], dielectric-barrier discharge with zeolites[2] and pulsed corona discharge with metal oxide catalysts[3], give C2 hydrocarbons under atmospheric pressure. But acetylene predominates over other C2 hydrocarbons in the products. Our recent work reported that good results can be obtained for methane coupling under a pulsed corona plasma in the presence of hydrogen[4]. The addition of hydrogen improves the conversion of methane and the yield of C2 hydrocarbons. A methane conversion of 57.1% and a yield of C2 hydrocarbons of 43.4% were obtained at lower power, but acetylene was inevitably the main product. With the introduction of a Ni/γ-Al2O3 catalyst prepared by a cold plasma into the plasma reaction, the distribution of C2 hydrocarbons changed, and the content of C2H4 was 66.1%[5].  相似文献

This article reports the production of COx free hydrogen and carbon nanofibers by the catalytic decomposition of methane over Ni-Al2O3-SiO2 catalysts. The influence of reaction temperature, pretreatment temperature, and effect of reductive pretreatment on the decomposition of methane activity is investigated. The physico-chemical characteristics of fresh and deactivated samples were characterized using BET-SA, XRD, TPR, SEM/TEM, CHNS analyses and correlated with the methane decomposition results obtained. The Ni-Al-Si (4 : 0.5 : 1.5) catalyst reduced with hydrazine hydrate produced better H2 yields of ca. 1815 mol H2/mol Ni than the catalyst reduced with 5% H2/N2.  相似文献

CeO2-promoted Ni/Al2O3-ZrO2 (Ni/Al2O3-ZrO2-CeO2) catalysts were prepared by a direct sol-gel process with citric acid as gelling agent. The catalysts used for the methane reforming with CO2 was studied by infrared spectroscopy (IR), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), microscopic analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and temperature-programmed reduction (TPR). The catalytic performance for CO2 reforming of methane to synthesis gas was investigated in a continuous-flow micro-reactor under atmospheric pressure. TGA, IR, XRD and microscopic analysis show that the catalysts prepared by the direct sol-gel process consist of Ni particles with a nanostructure of around 5 nm and an amorphous-phase composite oxide support. There exists a chemical interaction between metallic Ni particles and supports, which makes metallic Ni well dispersed, highly active and stable. The addition of CeO2 effectively improves the dispersion and the stability of Ni particles of the prepared catalysts, and enhances the adsorption of CO2 on the surface of catalysts. The catalytic tests for methane reforming with CO2 to synthesis gas show that the Ni/Al2O3-ZrO2-CeO2 catalysts show excellent activity and stability compared with the Ni/Al2O3 catalyst. The excellent catalytic activity and stability of the Ni/Al2O3-ZrO2-CeO2 are attributed to the highly, uniformly and stably dispersed small metallic Ni particles, the high reducibility of the Ni oxides and the interaction between metallic Ni particles and the composite oxide supports.  相似文献

A series of NixCo1-xCo2O4(0 ≤ x ≤ 1) spinel catalysts were prepared by the co-precipitation method and used for direct N2O decomposition. The decomposition pathway of the parent precipitates was characterized by thermal analysis. The catalysts were calcined at 500 °C for 3 h and characterized by powder X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared, and N2 adsorption-desorption. Nickel cobaltite spinel was formed in the solid state reaction between NiO and Co3O4. The N2O decomposition measurement revealed significant increase in the activity of Co3O4 spinel oxide catalyst with the partial replacement of Co2+ by Ni2+. The activity of this series of catalysts was controlled by the degree of Co2+ substitution by Ni2+, spinel crystallite size, catalyst surface area, presence of residual K+, and calcination temperature.  相似文献

Nanostructured γ-Al2O3 with high surface area and mesoporous structure was synthesized by sol-gel method and employed as catalyst support for nickel catalysts in methane reforming with carbon dioxide. The prepared samples were characterized by XRD, N2adsorption-desorption,TPR, TPO, TPH, NH3-TPD and SEM techniques. The BET analysis showed a high surface area of 204 m2 g-1and a narrow pore-size distribution centered at a diameter of 5.5 nm for catalyst support. The BET results revealed that addition of lanthanum oxide to aluminum oxide decreased the specific surface area. In addition, TPR results showed that addition of lanthanum oxide increased the reducibility of nickel catalyst. The catalytic evaluation results showed an increase in methane conversion with increasing lanthanum oxide to 3 mol% and further increase in lanthanum content decreased the catalytic activity. TPO analysis revealed that the coke deposition decreased with increasing lanthanum oxide to 3 mol%. SEM and TPH analyses confirmed the formation of whisker type carbon over the spent catalysts. Addition of steam and O2 to dry reforming feed increased the methane conversion and led to carbon free operation in combined processes.  相似文献

The decomposition and CO2 reforming of methane, respectively, are promising alternatives to industrial steam methane reforming. In recent years, research has been focused on the development of catalysts that can operate without getting deactivated by carbon deposition, where,in particular, carbon catalysts have shown positive results. In this work, the role of carbon materials in heterogeneous catalysis is assessed and publications on methane decomposition and CO2 reforming of methane over carbon materials are reviewed. The influence of textural properties(BET surface area and micropore volume, etc.) and oxygen surface groups on the catalytic activity of carbon materials are discussed. In addition, this review examines how activated carbon and carbon black catalysts, which are the most commonly used carbon catalysts, are deactivated. Characteristics of the carbon deposits from methane are discussed and the influence of the reactivity to CO2 of fresh carbon and carbonaceous deposits for high and steady conversion during CO2 reforming of CH4 are also considered.  相似文献

The oxidative coupling of methane over various alkali metal oxidespromoted LaO_2O_3/BaCO_3 catalysts and the effects of Na_2O content on the performance of Na_2O-La_2O_3/Ba_2CO_3 catalyst have been studied. It was found thatNa_2O promoted La_2CO_3/BaCO_3 catalyst showed advantages of high CH_4 conver-sion,C_2 selectivity and C_2H_4/C_2H_6 ratio,Na_2O might affect the properties ofcatalyst through elctronic and geometric effuts. The highest C_2yield(19.0一20.6%)over Na_2-9wt%La_2O_3/BaCO_3 catalysts was obtained in the Na_2Ocontent range of 1.0—3.0%.Effects of reaction conditions on OCM over3wt% Na_2O-9wt%La_2CO_3/BaCO_3 catalyst were also investigated. The catalystswere characterized by BET,TPD,and XRD.TPD studies on 3wt% Na_2O-9wt%La_2O_3/BaCO_3 catalyst demonstrated that CO_2,CH_4.O_2could bestrongly on the catalyst. This might be related to the activation of CH_4 and theformation and reseneration of active oxygen soecies.  相似文献
