Excited states above the 11/2 isomer have been identified for the first time in the neutron deficient 141Gdnucleus. The level sequence built on the 11/2 isomeric state was constructed using -ray spectroscopy methods. The new data are compared with level patterns in neighbouring nuclei.  相似文献

The decay of the new activity110Mo (t1/2=0.30(4).s) has been observed at the new IGISOL separator. Multiscaled singles,--t and -y-t coincidences were recorded. The decay scheme suggests I=2+ for the ground state of the daughter nucleus110Tc. Three 1+ levels are fed with logft values below 5, indicating no drastic change among Mo and Ru decays at the middle of the neutron shell. This experiment confirms the expectation that the new IGISOL facility will allow the identification of one or two new more neutron-rich isotopes per element in this region.Supported by the Academy of Finland.  相似文献

TheQ -values of101Rb,101,102Sr and101,102Y have been measured for the first time at the mass separator ISOLDE by means of-coincidence techniques with a plastic scintillation detector telescope and a large Ge(HP)-detector. For some of these nuclei, also new details of their decay schemes could be derived from the measured-decay properties. The experimental results are discussed, as far as the systematics of two-neutron separation energies derived from them is concerned. High spin states are populated in102Ag using the reaction16O+89Y with projectile energies in the energy range 60–80 MeV. Gamma multipolarities are inferred from DCO ratios and coincidence relationships are established among the gamma rays assigned to102Ag. A comprehensive level scheme is constructed with four band systems, two of positive parity and the other two of negative parity. The present study extended spins upto 19 in the main negative parity band. A new band is populated in the present work and is similar to the one observed in106Ag.The authors wish to thank and record their appreciation to Dr. S.K. The neutron-deficient nuclei100,101Cd were identified for the first time in — beam following the reactions58Ni +46,48Ti and58Ni +50Cr at 230 MeV and 245 MeV bombarding energy of the58Ni beams. The-decay of the isotopes100,101,102Cd was studied inp, pp,n, nn, andn prompt and delayed coincidence spectra. Isomers were found with spin and half life {ie1-01}=8+, T1/2=52(5) ns in100Cd, {ie1-02}=(19/2+), T1/2=4.6(4) ns in101Cd and {ie1-03}=8+, T1/2=56(4) ns in102Cd. In a PAD experiment theg-factor of the {ie1-04}=8+ isomer in100Cd was measured to be g=1.24(6). Using the reaction36Ar +70Ge at 135 MeV energy of the36Ar beam, theg-factor and the quadrupole moment of the {ie1-05}=8+ isomer in102Cd were measured to be g=1.29(3) and Q=87(10) fm2, respectively. The spectroscopic results are discussed within a shell model approach using a100Sn core, which accounts well for the electromagnetic properties of the proton aligned isomers. The structure of the spherical neutron states, dominated by the close lying vd5/2, g7/2 orbitals, and the gradually developing quadrupole collectivity are reproduced by the shell model calculations.The authors gratefully acknowledge fruitful discussions with K. 117Te has been studied via82Se(40Ar,5n)117Te, and a new, substantially extended level scheme is proposed to I53/2. Our TRS calculations suggest rotational bands, but with an experimental sensitivity of 2%, we see none. Our results differ from those of Sharma, et al, who report two isolated E2 bands. We find them less band-like, being joined at the top and changed in content and order. We suggest a noncollective oblate shape for a new 39/2 level.This work is supported in part by the Department of Energy under Contract No.DE-AC03-76SF0098(LBL).  相似文献

The neutron deficient nucleus94Pd was identified and studied for the first time by in-beam spectroscopy. An I=(14+) isomer with t1/2=0.8 (2) s was observed in a recoil catcher setup inside the multi-detector -array OSIRIS. Filter detectors for neutrons and charged particles were used to identify the (2p2n) exit channel of the reaction58Ni+40Ca, populated with only 0.06% of the total evaporation residue cross section. The structure of the isomer is discussed within the frame work of shell model calculations in the (p1/2,g9/2) model space with emphasis on the g 9 2/2 T=0, I=1,9 pairing two-body matrix elements.Communicated by: D. The half-lives of seven levels in105Mo have been determined with high precision at the fission-product separator Josef. The-- triple coincidence method with plastic and BaF2 scintillators was used for a determination of the time between the q feeding of a level of interest and its depopulation. A value of q =0.38 (1) for the deformation parameter has been deduced from the half-lives of the first and second excited states. The results of Particle-Rotor model-calculations with the Nilsson parameters=0.084 and=0.28 support the assignment of the Nilsson orbital [532] 5/2 to the ground state of105Mo.The authors acknowledge with pleasure fruitful discussions with Profs. Proton rich nuclei close to 100 Sn have been investigated inbeam using the NORDBALL detector array. A beam of 270 MeV58 Ni was used to bombard a 54 Fe target. Reaction channel separation was achieved with a 4 charged particle multi-detector set-up together with a 1 neutron detector wall placed in the forward direction. Gamma-ray transitions belonging to the 111 I nucleus were identified for the first time. A level scheme constructed from --particle-coincidence analysis is proposed. The level structure is discussed within the framework of the shell model and the systematics of the heavier odd iodine nuclei.  相似文献

The +/EC decay of the neutron deficient nuclei76,78Sr and79Y was studied employing mass separated molecular beams of SrF+ and YF2 + from the ISOLDE mass separator. The halflives of76,78Sr and79Y were measured as t1/2=8.9(3)s, 159(8)s and 14.4(15)s, respectively, and decay schemes were established for76Sr and79Y. In the78Sr decay 10 new -ray transitions were identified.  相似文献

Applying delayed- r.f. coincidences and generalized centroid-shift analysis, nanosecond isomers in some odd-A iodine isotopes are studied in-beam. The reactions106Cd(12C,p2n) and116,118Sn(6Li,3n) have been used. The following half-lives were determined:T 1/2(565 keV)=0.50±0.10 ns andT 1/2(837 keV) =0.90±0.20 ns in115I,T 1/2(687 keV)=5.50±0.50 ns andT 1/2(2418 keV)=4.0±0.50 ns in119I as well asT 1/2(812 keV)=0.35±0.20 ns andT 1/2(445 keV)<0.10 ns=">121I. Low-lying energy levels in124Ba have been investigated from124La-decay by using He-jet technique. Spin and parity assignments have been deduced from internal conversion electron measurements. Conversion electrons, and X rays from102Rhm (6+,T 1/2=1057 d) have been studied. An electromagnetic branch (2.3±0.3) ·10–3 feeding the102Rh first excited state has been observed in the 6+ isomeric decay. The excitation energy of the 6+ isomer turns out to be 140.7 keV above the 2 ground state.We wish to thank P. Del Carmine, M. Ottanelli, and A. A ridge has been found in a - coincidence matrix obtained from the reaction122Sn(27Al,5n)144Euat 142 MeV.The half-width of the valley is 59 keV,which is similar to the energy spacings in the superdeformed bands in 143Euand 142Sm.This indicates the existence of superdeformed bands in 144Eu.This work was supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada and AECL Research. Using the (,n) reaction, the half-life of the first 11/2 level in97Mo has been determined as T1/2(1437.0 keV)=2.5±0.3 ns by means of the pulsed beam method. The experimentally obtainedB(M2) value between theh 11/2 andg 7/2 configurations in97Mo has been satisfactorily described within the quasiparticle-phonon model usingg s eff =0.6g s free . Half-lives of excited levels in147Pm have been measured using BaF2 scintillators. New values of t1/2 are 2420(10), 43(5), 22(9), 17(10) and 17(10) ps for the 91.1, 410.5, 489.2, 531.0 and 685.9 keV level, respectively. E2 enhancement factors of -transitions have been deduced.  相似文献

Using an 11.4MeV/u136Xe beam of the UNILAC accelerator of GSI and anatW target, A=184 isobars were produced and separated by using an on-line mass separator. A new isomeric state was found in184Hf. This state decays with a half-life of 48(10) s and emits three -rays of 73, 482, and 555 keV as well as lower-lying cascade transitions. The hindrance of the 73 keV-E1 transition with K=8 is compared with those of other even-even hafnium isotopes. The half-life of184Lu was estimated to be between 15 and 25s.  相似文献
