The magnetic phase diagrams of 2D and 3D regular lattices formed by nonspherical single-domain ferromagnetic granules featuring a dipolar magnetic interaction are studied. The energy of a magnetic state of such systems is calculated using an approximate expression for the pair interaction of nonspherical granules. The character of the magnetic ground state of the system is determined by three geometric parameters: (i) the eccentricity of granules; (ii) the ratio of periods of the rectangular (2D) or tetragonal (3D) lattice; and (iii) the ratio of a lattice period to a granule size. In contrast to the case of lattices formed by point (or spherical) magnetic moments, in which the ground state is always antiferromagnetic or frustrated (for triangular lattices), the ground state of a 2D lattice composed of nonspherical granules can be ferromagnetic. The magnetic phase diagrams of the systems studied are constructed in the space of the above geometric parameters.  相似文献

Lattices of magnetic dipoles with 1–4 rows are investigated. Numerical analysis reveals the smallest stationary domains formed in the lattices, necessary conditions for the formation and destruction of such domains are obtained, and the change in the magnetic moment of the lattices during domain formation is considered. It is shown that the action of an external field on one of the dipoles forming a domain is sufficient for its breaking. The lattices in which the orientational phase transition appears upon perturbation of several dipoles and propagates over the entire system are revealed.  相似文献

When the thin film of high-quality magnetic fluid is subjected to a perpendicular magnetic field, a separation of particles from the liquid matrix will occur, leading to a phase transition with a phase that is concentrated in particles separating from a dilute phase. The concentrated phase makes up the cylindrical columns that can form two-dimensional lattices. We have explored the field-induced lattices with optical microscopy, digital imaging and computer-video techniques in this study, to classify the ordering property in terms of bond-orientation order.  相似文献

对于用MgO和LiF作为添加剂以热压法制备的α-Si3N4进行高分辨电子显微镜观察时,发现结构缺陷。观察到在三晶粒晶界处有分相现象,这表明晶界玻璃相化学成分不均匀。在晶粒中,由晶格变形和(100)晶面位移所引起应力区域时有发现。在有些区域晶格变形是如此严重,以致晶胞的六方对称性都失掉了。晶格的形变可借助于(100)晶面间距与正常值6.771?的偏离加以衡量。用高分辨电子显微镜,我们发现α-Si3N4存在辐射损伤,这可能 关键词:  相似文献

We present magnetic field dependence of phase transition temperature and vortex configuration of superconducting networks based on theoretical study. The applied magnetic field is called “filling field” that is defined by applied magnetic flux (in unit of the flux quantum) per unit loop of the superconducting network. If a superconducting network is composed of very thin wires whose thicknesses are less than coherence length, the de Gennes–Alexander (dGA) theory is applicable. We have already shown that field dependences of transition temperature curves have symmetric behavior about the filling field of 1/2 by solving the dGA equation numerically in square lattices, honeycomb lattices, cubic lattices and those with randomly lack of wires networks. Many experimental studies also show the symmetric behavior. In this paper, we make an explicit theoretical explanation of symmetric behaviors of superconducting network respect to the applied field.  相似文献

The magnetic groundstate properties of the two-dimensional Hubbard model are investigated using generalized Gutzwiller wave-functions with spiral magnetic order. Employing variational Monte Carlo simulations these wave-functions are treated without approximations on finite lattices. The resulting phase diagram shows para-, ferro-, antiferro- and spiral magnetic phases of different types.  相似文献

Applying a magnetic field on the magnetic fluid thin film perpendicularly, leads a phase separation that is concentrated in particles separating from a dilute phase. The concentrated phase forms cylindrical columns that construct two-dimensional lattices. This kind of artificial lattice is a novel mesoscopic system and has been explored with optical microscope, CCD, and digital imaging analysis. We explore the ordering evolution of the two-dimensional extraordinary lattice by varying the applied field. The ordering of these lattices is analyzed in terms of translational and bond-orientation correlation functions to address the two-dimensional melting.  相似文献

Self-organized long-range order structures, such as stripe domains and magnetic skyrmion lattices, are formed by the competition between ferromagnetic exchange interaction and Dzyaloshinskii–Moriya (DM) interaction. We investigated the properties of the magnetic structures generated by a DM interaction under the influence of anisotropy or magnetic dipole interaction, by performing Monte-Carlo simulated annealing. We constructed phase maps in external-field and anisotropy space to study the effect of anisotropy or dipole interaction on the phase boundaries between the magnetic structures. The simulation results show that the phase boundaries are sensitive to perpendicular anisotropy and that the skyrmion lattice region in phase space is extended under easy-plane anisotropy. The effect of the long-range dipole interaction was studied and was found to stabilize the skyrmion lattice phase and reduce the size of the magnetic structures.  相似文献

Two-dimensional square and hexagonal lattices of magnetic dipoles with the number of rows 1–4 have been studied. Based on the numerical analysis, equilibrium stable domain configurations, including the minimum number of lattice dipoles, have been revealed; the conditions for the creation and destruction of domains have been determined; and their associated changes in the magnetic moment of the lattice and in the energy of the dipole interaction have been found. The conditions for the occurrence of phase transitions that change the configuration of the lattices have been investigated and the conditions for unidirectional propagation of the front of the phase transition have been established. A comparative analysis of different square and hexagonal lattices has been performed in terms of the specific features of the formed domains and the observed orientation phase transitions.  相似文献

With the Monte Carlo simulation, we investigate the thermodynamics and magnetic properties of the artificial frustrated square and honeycomb lattices. The results from the Ising-like dipolar model show that there occurs one magnetic order transition for the square lattice while the honeycomb lattice exhibits two magnetic order phase transitions. When the magnetic field is applied perpendicular to one of sublattices, a sharp field-independent peak in the specific heat curves appears at a very low temperature for both frustrated lattices due to the occurrence of a long-range ordered state induced by the magnetic field. For the square lattice, the coercive field slightly increases with the angle of field relative to the vertical axis. For both frustrated lattices, the magnetic reversal is achieved mostly via flipping a chain of the nearest neighbor spins.  相似文献

In this paper,we study the quantum phase transition and the effect of impurity on the thermal entanglement between any two lattices in three-qubit Heisenberg XX chain in a uniform magnetic field.We show that the quantum phase transition always appears when impurity parameter is an arbitrary constant and unequal to zero,the external magnetic field and impurity parameters have a great effect on it.Also,there exists a relation between the quantum phase transition and the entanglement.By modulating the temperature,magnetic field and the impurity parameters,the entanglement between any two lattices can exhibit platform-like behaviour,which can be used to realize entanglement switch.  相似文献

The generalized mapping transformation technique is used to obtain the exact solution for the transverse Ising model on decorated planar lattices. Within this scheme, the basic thermodynamic quantities are calculated for different planar lattices with arbitrary spins of decorating atoms. The particular attention has been paid to the investigation of transverse-field effects on magnetic properties of the system under investigation. The most interesting numerical results for the phase diagrams, compensation temperatures and several thermodynamic quantities are discussed in detail for the ferrimagnetic version of the model.  相似文献

The possibility of the existence of a cylindrical magnetic domain structure near the first-order phase transition line is investigated theoretically in metamagnets, compounds with anisotropy energy substantially exceeding the exchange interaction energy. The domain structure of such compounds is related to the kinetics of the transition from the paramagnetic to the antiferromagnetic state. The static properties of isolated cylindrical magnetic domains and their equilibrium lattices are studied using an energetic approach. It is shown that for a low-temperature metamagnetic phase transition domains of the existence of a cylindrical domain structure, lattices and isolated cylindrical magnetic domains, abut, on the domain of plane-parallel domain structure existence from both sides. We present a new solution of the asymmetric two-matrix model in the large-N limit which only involves a saddle point analysis. The model can be interpreted as Ising in the presence of a magnetic field, on random dynamical lattices with the topology of the sphere (resp. the disk) for closed (resp. open) surfaces; we elaborate on the resulting phase diagram. The method can be equally well applied to a more general (Q+1)-matrix model which represents the dilute Potts model on random dynamical lattices. We discuss in particular duality of boundary conditions for open random surfaces.  相似文献

The Ising spin glass model on Bethe-like lattices (cactus lattices) is studied using replicas in the presence of a magnetic field. Parisi's order parameter function and the de Almeida–Thouless (AT) line are obtained close to the spin glass transition temperature. The results are compared with those for the Bethe lattice to see the effects of loops. The slope of the order parameter function diminishes considerably for both lattices compared with that for the Sherrington–Kirkpatrick (SK) model. The loci of the AT line for the cactus lattices and the Bethe lattice are above and below that for the SK model, respectively.  相似文献

An effective-field theory with correlations has been used to study critical behaviors of a mixed spin-1 and spin-2 Ising system on a honeycomb and square lattices in the absence and presence of a longitudinal magnetic field. The ground-state phase diagram of the model is obtained in the longitudinal magnetic field (h) and a single-ion potential or crystal-field interaction (Δ) plane. The thermal behavior of the sublattice magnetizations of the system are investigated to characterize the nature of (continuous and discontinuous) of the phase transitions and obtain the phase transition temperature. The phase diagrams are presented in the (Δ/|J|, kBT/|J|) plane. The susceptibility, internal energy and specific heat of the system are numerically examined and some interesting phenomena in these quantities are found due to the absence and presence of the applied longitudinal magnetic field. Moreover, the system undergoes second- and first-order phase transition; hence, the system gives a tricritical point. The system also exhibits reentrant behavior.  相似文献

Based on the exact and numerical calculations within the Ising and Potts models on lattices of various types and dimensions (one-dimensional, square, triangular, hexagonal, kagome, simple cubic, and body-centered cubic), magnetic orderings, phase transitions, and frustrations were investigated, taking into account the exchange interactions between magnetic moments at the nearest and next-nearest nodes and an external magnetic field. The causes of the occurrence of frustrations are found, and the essential features of the behavior of frustrated systems that distinguish them from the nonfrustrated systems are determined.  相似文献

An Ising spin effective field theory (EFT) is developed as a framework for a detailed analysis of the magnetic properties of two-dimensional (2D) nano-islands on a nonmagnetic substrate with an out of plane magnetization. The Hamiltonian with nearest neighbor exchange interactions and single-atom magnetic anisotropy defines the ground state. The calculation yields the single site spin correlations, the magnetizations, and the isothermal susceptibilities for the core and periphery domains, and the island core phase diagrams. The choice of a spin S=1 for the atoms permits the analysis of the effects of spin fluctuations via the single site spin correlations. In particular we investigate the effects due to the different anisotropies and reduced dimensionalities for the core and periphery domains. The present model calculations are developed for different 2D nano-islands lattices. Detailed theoretical results are presented for the square and hexagonal lattices, with numerical applications for the 2D Co nano-islands on Pt. The derived transition temperature for the hexagonal lattice nano-islands is in good agreement with the experimental data for Co nano-islands on Pt. Though both the core and the periphery domains have the same order-disorder transition temperature, the magnetization of each domain attains this transition differently. The temperature behavior of the spin correlations is also fundamentally different for the periphery and core sites, which entails distinctly different isothermal susceptibilities, and yields statistically averaged nano-islands susceptibilities that do not correspond to a second order phase transition. The experimental susceptibility results for 2D Co nano-islands on Pt can be interpreted within our EFT Ising model without reference to a transition from a blocking state of the particle to a superparamagnetic behavior. The results for the different lattices are formally comparable, and demonstrate the robustness and general character of the model.  相似文献

Stable spiral domain structures—spiral domains stabilized by a bubble lattice and lattices of spiral domains—in epitaxial ferrite-garnet films have been experimentally investigated. The thermodynamic approach based on the concept of magnetostatic pressure is applied to explain the behavior of a spiral domain structure with a change in temperature or magnetic field. It is shown that phase transitions in spiral domains are related to phase transitions in the bubble lattice.  相似文献

The Gaussian spin model with periodic interactions on the diamond-type hierarchical lattices is constructed by generalizing that with uniform interactions on translationally invariant lattices according to a class of substitution sequences.The Gaussian distribution constants and imposed external magnetic fields are also periodic depending on the periodic characteristic of the interaction onds.The critical behaviors of this generalized Gaussian model in external magnetic fields are studied by the exact renormalization-group approach and spin rescaling method.The critical points and all the critical exponents are obtained.The critical behaviors are found to be determined by the Gaussian distribution constants and the fractal dimensions of the lattices.When all the Gaussian distribution constants are the same,the dependence of the critical exponents on the dimensions of the lattices is the same as that of the Gaussian model with uniform interactions on translationally invariant lattices.  相似文献
