Electrochemical splitting of water is an efficient way to produce clean energy for energy storage and conversion devices. Herein, 3D hierarchical NiCo2O4@NiO@Ni core/shell nanocone arrays (NAs) are reported on Ni foam for stable overall water splitting with high efficiency. The architecture and composition of the 3D catalysts are particularly tuned. The outstanding structural and component features of the as‐prepared 3D catalysts are characterized by the vertically grown NiCo2O4 nanocone/NiO nanosheet core/shell structure and Ni decorated 3D‐conductive networks, which largely prompt the catalytic performance. The hybrid catalyst with core/shell nanocone array structures exhibits superior bifuncational activities for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) and hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) with an overpotential of 240 and 120 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm?2, respectively. The Tafel slope of the optimal 3D electrode is about 43 and 58 mV dec?1 in an alkaline electrolyte for OER and HER, respectively. An alkaline electrolyzer constructed by two symmetric NiCo2O4@NiO@Ni electrodes delivers splendid activity toward overall water splitting with a current of 10 mA cm?2 at only ≈1.60 V and almost no deactivation after 10 h. This work provides a promising strategy to design ternary core/shell electrodes as high performance Janus catalysts for overall water splitting.  相似文献

Porous electrode materials with large specific surface area, relatively short diffusion path, and higher electrical conductivity, which display both better rate capabilities and good cycle lives, have huge benefits for practical applications in lithium‐ion batteries. Here, uniform porous NiCo2O4 nanorods (PNNs) with pore‐size distribution in the range of 10–30 nm and lengths of up to several micrometers are synthesized through a convenient oxalate co‐precipitation method followed by a calcining process. The PNN electrode exhibits high reversible capacity and outstanding cycling stability (after 150 cycles still maintain about 650 mA h g?1 at a current density of 100 mA g?1), as well as high Coulombic efficiency (>98%). Moreover, the PNNs also exhibit an excellent rate performance, and deliver a stable reversible specific capacity of 450 mA h g?1 even at 2000 mA g?1. These results demonstrate that the PNNs are promising anode materials for high‐performance Li‐ion batteries.  相似文献

A facile strategy is developed to fabricate bicomponent CoO/CoFe2O4‐N‐doped graphene hybrids (CoO/CoFe2O4‐NG). These hybrids are demonstrated to be potential high‐performance anodes for lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs). The CoO/CoFe2O4 nanoplatelets are finely dispersed on the surface of N‐doped graphene nanosheets (CoO/CoFe2O4‐NG). The CoO/CoFe2O4‐NG electrode exhibits ultrahigh specific capacity with 1172 mA h g?1 at 500 mA g?1 and 970 mA h g?1 at 1000 mA g?1 as well as excellent cycle stability due to the synergetic effects of N‐doped graphene and CoO/CoFe2O4 nanoplatelets. The well‐dispersed bicomponent CoO/CoFe2O4 is responsible for the high specific capacity. The N‐doped graphene with high specific surface area has dual roles: to provide active sites for dispersing the CoO/CoFe2O4 species and to function as an electrical conducting matrix for fast charge transfer. This method provides a simple and efficient way to configure the hybridized electrode materials with high lithium storage capacity.  相似文献

A dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 was fabricated and employed as anode materials of lithium ion batteries (LIBs). The architecture and electrochemical performance of dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 were investigated through structure characterization and galvanostatic charge/discharge test. The as-prepared dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 consisted of well-distributed nanoneedles (about 40 nm in width and about 5 μm in length) with rich micropores. Electrochemical experiments illustrated that the as-prepared dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 as anode materials of LIBs exhibited high reversible specific capacity of 1430.0 mA h g?1 and 1013.4 mA h g?1 at the current density of 0.2 A g?1 for the first and 100th cycle, respectively. The outstanding lithium storage properties of the as-prepared dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 might be attributed to its dandelion-like mesoporous nanostructure together with an open space between adjacent nanoneedle networks promoting the intercalation/deintercalation of lithium ions and the charge transfer on the electrode. The enhanced capacity as well as its high-rate capability made the as-prepared dandelion-like mesoporous Co3O4 to be a good candidate as a high-performance anode material for LIBs.  相似文献

Three‐dimensional (3D) multilayer molybdenum disulfide (MoS2)/reduced graphene oxide (RGO) nanocomposites are prepared by a solution‐processed self‐assembly based on the interaction using different sizes of MoS2 and GO nanosheets followed by in situ chemical reduction. 3D multilayer assemblies with MoS2 wrapped by large RGO nanosheets and good interface are observed by transmission electron microscopy. The interaction of Na+ ions with oxygen‐containing groups of GO is also investigated. The measurement of lithium ion batteries (LIBs) shows that MoS2/RGO anode nanocomposite with a weight ratio of MoS2 to GO of 3:1 exhibits an excellent rate performance of 750 mAh g?1 at 3 A g?1 outperforming many previous studies and a high reversible capacity up to ≈1180 mAh g?1 after 80 cycles at 100 mA g?1. Good rate performance and high capacity of MoS2/RGO with 3D unique layered‐structures are attributed to the combined effects of continuous conductive networks of RGO, good interface facilitating charge transfer, and strong RGO sheets preventing the volume expansion. Results indicate that 3D multilayer MoS2/RGO prepared by a facile solution‐processed assembly can be developed to be an excellent nanoarchitecture for high‐performance LIBs.  相似文献

Three-dimensional hierarchical Co3O4@C hollow microspheres (Co3O4@C HSs) are successfully fabricated by a facile and scalable method. The Co3O4@C HSs are composed of numerous Co3O4 nanoparticles uniformly coated by a thin layer of carbon. Due to its stable 3D hierarchical hollow structure and uniform carbon coating, the Co3O4@C HSs exhibit excellent electrochemical performance as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). The Co3O4@C HSs electrode delivers a high reversible specific capacity, excellent cycling stability (1672 mAh g?1 after 100 cycles at 0.2 A g?1 and 842.7 mAh g?1 after 600 cycles at 1 A g?1), and prominent rate performance (580.9 mAh g?1 at 5 A g?1). The excellent electrochemical performance makes this 3D hierarchical Co3O4@C HS a potential candidate for the anode materials of the next-generation LIBs. In addition, this simple synthetic strategy should also be applicable for synthesizing other 3D hierarchical metal oxide/C composites for energy storage and conversion.  相似文献

Three‐dimensional (3D) titanium dioxide@germanium (TiO2@Ge) core–shell nanorod arrays on carbon textiles are fabricated by a facile two‐step method and further investigated as flexible electrode for Li‐ion batteries (LIBs). The synthesis of TiO2@Ge composite involves the hydrothermal growth of TiO2 nanorod arrays on carbon textiles and a subsequent coat with a thin layer of germanium with radio frequency (RF) magnetron sputtering. The TiO2 nanorod arrays can effectively not only increase the unit mass loading as a role of skeleton but also remarkably enhance the electrical conductivity via control the lithiation/delithiation voltage in the range of 0.01–1.0 V, where TiO2 can be in situ lithiated to LixTiO2 after the first discharge cycle. Moreover, each TiO2@Ge nanorod has enough space to accommodate the large volume expansion of Ge during charge and discharge cycles. Benefiting from unique electrode architectures, this additive free, self‐supported electrode exhibits the high reversible capacity, outstanding rate capability, and the extremely long cycling stability even at a high rate (700.3 mAh g?1 is still retained at 5 A g?1 after 600 cycles).  相似文献

Titanium dioxide (TiO2)-based materials have been well studied because of the high safety and excellent cycling performance when employed as anode materials for lithium ion batteries (LIBs), whereas, the relatively low theoretical capacity (only 335 mAh g?1) and serious kinetic problems such as poor electrical conductivity (~?10?13S cm?1) and low lithium diffusion coefficient (~?10?9 to 10?13 cm2 s?1) hinder the development of the TiO2-based anode materials. To overcome these drawbacks, we present a facile strategy to synthesize N/S dual-doping carbon framework anchored with TiO2 nanoparticles (NSC@TiO2) as LIBs anode. Typically, TiO2 nanoparticles are anchored into the porous graphene-based sheets with N, S dual doping feature, which is produced by carbonization and KOH activation process. The as-obtained NSC@TiO2 electrode exhibits a high specific capacity of 250 mAh g?1 with a coulombic efficiency of 99% after 500 cycles at 200 mA g?1 and excellent rate performance, indicating its promising as anode material for LIBs.  相似文献

A novel approach of double hydroxide-mediated synthesis of nickel cobaltite (NiCo2O4) electro-active material by the hydrothermal method is reported. The obtained NiCo2O4 electro-active material displays the spinel cubic phase and hexagonal-like morphology. Thermogravimetry analysis confirms the thermal stability of the electrode material. The functional groups and phase formation of NiCo2O4 have been confirmed by FT-IR and Raman spectral analysis. The modified NiCo2O4 electrode exhibits the highest specific capacitance of 767.5 F g?1 at a current density of 0.5 A g?1 in 3 M KOH electrolyte and excellent cyclic stability (94 % capacitance retention after 1000 cycles at a high current density of 5 A g?1). The excellent electrochemical performance of the electrode is attributed to the hexagonal-like morphology, which contributes to the rich surface electro-active sites and easy transport pathway for the ions during the electrochemical reaction. The attractive Faradic behavior of NiCo2O4 electrode has been ascribed to the redox contribution of Ni2+/Ni3+ and Co2+/Co3+ metal species in the alkaline medium. The symmetrical two-electrode cell has been fabricated using the NiCo2O4 electro-active material with excellent electrochemical properties for supercapacitor applications.  相似文献

In this paper, the urchin-like NiCo2O4 microspheres assembled by using sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) as soft template are successfully fabricated by a facile procedure including microemulsion-solvothermal reaction and subsequent calcination at 400 °C for 4 h. The structure and morphology of synthesized NiCo2O4 particles are investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It has been clearly revealed that the prepared three-dimensional urchin-like NiCo2O4 microspheres are constituted by one-dimension nanowires. As it is applied to anode for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), the initial coulombic efficiency is up to 75.7%, and the specific reversible capacity retains up to 1034.2 mAh/g even after 40 cycles at a current density of 100 mA/g. Furthermore, as the current density gradually increases to 800 mA/g, it still delivers the reversible capacity of 895.4 mAh/g. The high reversible specific capacity, perfect cyclability, and rate performance are attributed to the unique urchin-like NiCo2O4 microspheres, which can alleviate the volume expansion and shorten the diffusion path of ions and electrons during lithiation/delithiation process. The self-standing urchin-like NiCo2O4 microspheres may be a very promising candidate in place of the commercial graphite-based anode materials for high-performance LIBs.  相似文献

A novel fiber‐in‐tube hierarchical nanostructure of SnO2@porous carbon in carbon tubes (SnO2@PC/CTs) is creatively designed and synthesized though a carbon coating on scalable electrospun hybrid nanofibers template and a post‐etching technique. This 1D nanoarchitecture consists of double carbon‐buffering matrixes, i.e., the external carbon tubular shell and the internal porous carbon skeleton, which can work synergistically to address the various issues of SnO2 nanoanode operation, such as pulverization, particle aggregation, and vulnerable electrical contacts between the SnO2 nanoparticles and the carbon conductors. Thus, the as‐obtained SnO2@PC/CTs nanohybrids used as a lithium‐ion‐battery anode exhibits a higher reversible capacity of 1045 mA h g?1 at 0.5 A g?1 after 300 cycles as well as a high‐rate cycling stability after 1000 cycles. The enhanced performance can be attributed to the wonderful merits of the external carbon protective shell for preserving the integrity of the overall electrode, and the internal porous carbon skeleton for inhibiting the aggregation and electrical isolation of the active particles during cycling.  相似文献

2D MoS2 has a significant capacity decay due to the stack of layers during the charge/discharge process, which has seriously restricted its practical application in lithium‐ion batteries. Herein, a simple preform‐in situ process to fabricate vertically grown MoS2 nanosheets with 8–12 layers anchored on reduced graphene oxide (rGO) flexible supports is presented. As an anode in MoS2/rGO//Li half‐cell, the MoS2/rGO electrode shows a high initial coulomb efficiency (84.1%) and excellent capacity retention (84.7% after 100 cycles) at a current density of 100 mA g?1. Moreover, the MoS2/rGO electrode keeps capacity as high as 786 mAh g?1 after 1000 cycles with minimum degradation of 54 µAh g?1 cycle?1 after being further tested at a high current density of 1000 mA g?1. When evaluated in a MoS2/rGO//LiCoO2 full‐cell, it delivers an initial charge capacity of 153 mAh g?1 at a current density of 100 mA g?1 and achieves an energy density of 208 Wh kg?1 under the power density of 220 W kg?1.  相似文献

1D nanostructured metal oxides with porous structure have drawn wide attention to being used as high‐performance anode materials for lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs). This study puts forward a simple and scalable strategy to synthesize porous NiO nanorods with the help of a thermal treatment of metal‐organic frameworks in air. The NiO nanorods with an average diameter of approximately 38 nm are composed of nanosized primary particles. When evaluated as anode materials for LIBs, an initial discharge capacity of 743 mA h g?1 is obtained at a current density of 100 mA g?1, and a high reversible capacity is still maintained as high as 700 mA h g?1 even after 60 charge–discharge cycles. The excellent electrochemical performance is mainly ascribed to the 1D porous structure.  相似文献

Three-dimensional fabricated Fe3O4 quantum dots/graphene aerogel materials (Fe3O4 QDs/GA) were obtained from a facile hydrothermal strategy, followed by a subsequently heat treatment process. The Fe3O4 QDs (2–5 nm) are anchored tightly and dispersed uniformly on the surface of three-dimensional GA. The as-prepared anode materials exhibit a high reversible capacity of 1078 mAh g?1 at a current density of 100 mA g?1 after 70 cycles in lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) system. Moreover, the rate capacity still remains 536 mAh g?1 at 1000 mA g?1. The enhanced electrochemical performance is attributed to that the GA not only acts as a three-dimensional electronic conductive matrix for the fast transportation of Li+ and electrons, but also provides with double protection against the aggregation and pulverization of Fe3O4 QDs during cycling. Apparently, the synergistic effects of the three-dimensional GA and the quantum dots are fully utilized. Therefore, the Fe3O4 QDs/GA composites are promising materials as advanced anode materials for LIBs.  相似文献

In this work, we rationally designed an efficient template‐free synthetic strategy to fabricate hierarchical mesoporous hollow ZnMn2O4 sub‐microspheres (HZSMs) constructed entirely from nanoparticle (NP) building blocks of size ≈15 nm. The well‐known inside‐out Ostwald ripening process was tentatively proposed to shed light on the formation mechanism of the mesoporous hollow nano‐/microarchitecture. In favor of the intrinsic structural advantages, these resulting HZSMs exhibited superior electrochemical lithium‐storage performance with high specific capacity, excellent cyclability, and good rate capability when evaluated as an anode material for advanced Li‐ion batteries (LIBs). The excellent electrochemical performance should be reasonably ascribed to the porous and hollow structure of the unique HZSMs with nanoscale subunits, which reduced the diffusion length for Li+ ions, improved the kinetic process and enhanced the structural integrity with sufficient void space for tolerating the volume variation during the Li+ insertion/extraction. These results further revealed that the as‐prepared mesoporous HZSMs would be a promising anode for high‐performance LIBs.  相似文献

Different particle sizes of dodecahedron precursors are synthesized by controlling the polarity of the solution. Through the results of scanning electron microscope (SEM) images, it can be found that different particle sizes of precursors present obvious edge angles and their morphology can be well retained after annealing. X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements suggest that the annealed polyhedral products are pure single-phase NiCo2O4. When tested as lithium-ion battery anode, 0.5 μm NiCo2O4 polyhedra exhibits a specific capacity of 1050 mAh g?1 at 0.1 C at the 60th cycle, which was higher than theoretical capacity of single metal oxide (NiO 718 mAh g?1 and Co3O4 890 mAh g?1). It also exhibits the highest rate capability with an average discharge capacity of 890, 700, 490, 330, and 300 mAh g?1 at 0.5, 2, 4, 8, and 10 C, respectively. Those advantages are attributed to that small-sized particle with great surface areas decrease the actual current density at the surface and inner of the prepared electrode.  相似文献

Ti‐doped FeOOH quantum dots (QD) decorated on graphene (GN) sheets are designed and fabricated by a facile and scalable synthesis route. Importantly, the Ti‐doped FeOOH QD/GN are successfully dispersed within bacterial cellulose (BC) substrate as bending anode with large loading mass for flexible supercapacitor. By virtue of its favorable architecture, this composite electrode exhibits a remarkable areal capacitance of 3322 mF cm?2 at 2 mA cm?2, outstanding cycle performance (94.7% capacitance retention after 6000 cycles), and excellent mechanical strength (68.7 MPa). To push the energy density of flexible supercapacitors, the optimized asymmetric supercapacitor using Mn3O4/GN/BC as positive electrode and Ti‐doped FeOOH QD/GN/BC as negative electrode can be cycled reversibly in the operating voltage range of 0–1.8 V and displays ultrahigh areal energy density of 0.541 mWh cm?2, ultrahigh volumetric energy density of 9.02 mWh cm?3, reasonable cycling performance (9.4% decay in specific capacitance after 5000 cycles), and good capacitive retention at bending state.  相似文献

Manganese oxide is a highly promising anode material of lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) for its low insertion voltage and high reversible capacity. Porous MnO microspheres are prepared by a facile method in this work. As an anode material of LIB, it can deliver a high reversible capacity up to 1234.2 mA h g?1 after 300 cycles at 0.2 C, and a capacity of 690.0 mA h g?1 in the 500th cycle at 2 C. The capacity increase with cycling can be attributed to the growth of reversible polymer/gel‐like film, and the better cycling stability and the superior rate performance can be attributed to the featured structure of the microspheres composed of nanoparticles with a short transport path for lithium ions, a large specific surface, and material/electrolyte contact area. The results suggest that the porous MnO microspheres can function as a promising anode material for high‐performance LIBs.  相似文献

Nanogravel structured NiO/Ni electrodes were fabricated by using two-step thermal oxidation method of commercial nickel (Ni) foam in air for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). The macro- and micro-structures of the NiO/Ni foam were characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (SEM-EDX), and Raman spectroscopy. Galvanostatic tests revealed that the electrode exhibits no obvious capacity fading over 40 cycles at 1 C (718 mAg?1) and 2.5 C (1.8 Ag?1) current rate. The discharge capacity was higher than the theoretical capacity of NiO even at a high-current rate of 2.5 C. The electrodes can deliver a reversible capacity of 1116.65 mAh g?1 after 20th cycle at 1 C rate and 1026.20 mAh g?1 after 40th cycle at 2.5 C rate. The cyclic voltammograms and impedance spectra analysis indicated that a redox reaction of NiO–Ni0 with formation and decomposition of Li2O. The excellent electrochemical performance is mainly attributed to the nanogravel structure of the NiO/Ni foam electrodes as well as its excellent electrical contact between NiO and Ni. The unique nanostructured NiO on the highly conductive metallic Ni in core resulted in the enhanced discharge capacity, coulombic efficiency, cyclic stability, and rate capability when utilized as negative electrodes in LIBs.  相似文献

Si nanoparticle (Si‐NP) composite anode with high rate and long cycle life is an attractive anode material for lithium‐ion battery (LIB) in hybrid electric vehicle (HEV)/pure electric vehicle (PEV). In this work, a carbon nanotube (CNT)/reduced graphene oxide (rGO)/Si nanoparticle composite with alternated structure as Li‐ion battery anode is prepared. In this structure, rGO completely wraps the entire Si/CNT networks by different layers and CNT networks provide fast electron transport pathways with reduced solid‐state diffusion, so that the stable solid‐electrolyte interphase layer can form on the whole surface of the matrix instead of on single Si nanoparticle, which ensure the high cycle stability to achieve the excellent cycle performance. As a result, the CNT/rGO/Si‐NP anode exhibits high performances with long cycle life (≈455 mAh g?1 at 15 A g?1 after 2000 cycles), high specific charge capacity (≈2250 mAh g?1 at 0.2 A g?1, ≈650 mAh g?1 at 15 A g?1), and fast charge/discharge rates (up to 16 A g?1). This nanostructure anode with facile and low‐cost synthesis method, as well as excellent electrochemical performances, makes it attractive for the long life cycles at high rate of the next generation LIB applications in HEV/PEV.  相似文献
