An alternative interpretation of Λ 10 B secondaryγ-quanta due to Λ 10 B → Λ 7 Li+3He channel is proposed. Its impact on effectiveΛN interaction properties and on understanding of (s ?1 s Λ) configurations is discussed and some verifying experiments are put forward.  相似文献

In the CERN NA 32 experiment a high-resolution silicon vertex detector and a purely topological approach have been used to investigate various decays of charmed particles. We observe ~620 fully reconstructed decays ofD 0 in 12 channels and determine the branching ratios. For fourD 0 decay modes involving a single (unseen) π0 the small and narrowD *+?D 0 mass difference is used to measure their branching ratios. We also observe ~280 fully reconstructedD + decays in 10 channels, ~90D s + decays in 11 channels as well as 160Λ s c and 18 decay channels ofD +. For theD s + , we measure the branching fractions within a subset of 16 three- and five-prong decay channels. For theΛ s c , we determine the branching fractions within a sample of 11 three- and five-prong decay channels, nearly all involving a proton.  相似文献

The cross section for threshold production of the hypertriton in the reaction pd → gL 3 HK+ is calculated in a two-step model and compared to the break-up process pd → dΛK+. The latter process is shown to be dominant already at 2 MeV above threshold. The amplitude squared at threshold for the pd → Λ 3 HK+ reaction is ¦f¦2 = 1.0 nb/sr.  相似文献

Usind data from avp and \(\bar v\) p experiment with BEBC at CERN, the rates for inclusive production ofD *+,Λ c + andD 0 invp scattering and ofD *? in \(\bar v\) p scattering are measured. Evidence is provided for a new resonance in theK s 0 K s 0 π+π? system with a mass of 1.97±0.01 GeV and width 40±20 MeV. It is produced with an inclusive cross section of ~6μb in the beam fragmentation process of 4-prongK + p interactions with at least 2 associatedV 0's at 32 GeV/c and decays dominantly into theK * ± (892)K s 0 π? mode.  相似文献

InclusiveK s 0 andK s 0 K s 0 production in \(\bar pp\) interactions at 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 GeV/c are studied. Cross sections ofK s 0 , K s 0 K s 0 andK (892) are presented for each incident momentum. The production ofK s 0 andK (892) through annihilation process is investigated. It is found that the annihilation process is dominant but decreases with incident momentum. The annihilation process is compared withe + e ? interactions. Remarkable similarity between them is found in the \({{x_0 = 2E(K_s^0 )} \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {{x_0 = 2E(K_s^0 )} {\sqrt s }}} \right. \kern-0em} {\sqrt s }}\) distribution. Events with two detectedK s 0 's are analyzed. The result shows theK s 0 K s 0 pairs are produced in the central region of c.m. system and there is a clearS * signal in theK s 0 K s 0 effective mass distribution.  相似文献

Evidence is presented for a newK * \(\bar K\) +c.c. resonance with a mass of (1,526±6) MeV, a width of (107±15) MeV and quantum numbersIJ PC=01++. We call itD′ meson. Initially it is observed as aK * \(\bar K\) +c.c. enhancement in the reactionsK ? p→(K s 0 K ±π?)Λ at 4.2 GeV/c. The isospin assignmentI=0 comes from its further observation in the reactionsK ? p→(K s 0 K ±π?)Σ 0 andK ? p→(K s 0 K ±π?)Σ(1,385)0 but not inK ? p→(K + K ?π?+ orK ? p→(K s 0 K ±π?)Σ(1,385)+. A maximum likelihood analysis of the (K \(\bar K\) π) decay Dalitz plots in the reactionsK ? p→(K s 0 K ±π?) determines theJ PC of theD′ meson to be 1++. A satisfactorySU(3) fit is obtained to a 1++ nonet composed of theI-1A 1, theI=1/2Q A with theD(1,285) and theD′(1,526) as theI=0 members having a mixing angle close to the magic one.  相似文献

Results are presented on two-particle inclusive production inK + p interactions at 32 GeV/c. We study thex 1,2=x 1+x 2 dependence of invariant structure functions of (ππ)-pairs and compare them to single particle inclusive distributions in the fragmentation regions. Distributions of particles observed at Feynmanx 2 in association with various “trigger” particles or systems atx 1 in the same hemisphere are dicussed in terms of the reduced variable \(\tilde x_2 = x_2 /(1 - |x_1 |)\) . We further present absolute production rates and production ratios of π+'s and π?'s associated with π±,K s 0 , Λ, \(\bar \Lambda \) ,K *+ (890), (K s 0 π+), and (π+ π?)-triggers, and compare them with qualitative predictions of the quark recombination model. Forwardbackward correlations between (K s 0 π±), (K s 0 ,p), (Λ, π?), \((\bar \Lambda \pi ^ \pm )\) , and (p, π?) pairs are also discussed.  相似文献

The available experimental data on the excitation functions (EF) of the 1p-shellΛ-hy-pernuclei in (K ?, π?) reactions atθ π = 0° has been analysed in terms of shell model and weak coupling scheme. It is substantiated by the experimental data on the neutron spectroscopic factors and on the fragmentation of nuclear hole excitations. The pronounced nuclear spectroscopic characteristics in the hypernuclear spectra are indicative of a weak coupling ofΛ-hyperon with nuclear subsystem. The analysis has made it possible to determine the difference is single-particle energies ofΛ-hyperon in the 1p- and 1s-states and to obtain additional evidence for the smallness of theΛ-nucleus spin-orbit interaction. The resonance structure of EF of hypernuclei, which were not studied in (K ?,π 0 ? ) reactions, is predicted. The interrelated aspects of the studies of the (K ?,π 0 ? ), (K ?,π 0 ? β), and (K ?, π+) reactions which are of interest to spectroscopy ofΛ-andΣ-hypernuclei are discussed.  相似文献

Numerical calculations for the production ofS-andP-wave levels ofB c quarkonium inγγ collisions are performed in the leadingO(α s 2 α em 2 ) order of perturbation theory. The total cross-section ofP-wave state production is about 10 % of that for theS-wave levels. The contribution of fragmentation component (6+6 diagrams) is low, and the basic contribution is determined by the recombination mechanism (8 Feynman diagrams). The gauge invariant term of the $\bar b$ B c fragmentation (6 diagrams) quite accurately reproduces the result of the fragmentation model, whereas there is a strong deviation of thecB c fragmentation term from the predictions of the fragmentation model. The total cross-sections in photonic production of doubly heavy diquark, hadronizing into the baryons, are evaluated.  相似文献

The production properties ofK s 0 , \(\bar \Lambda\) andK + p interactions at 32 GeV/c are investigated using the final statistics of the experiment. We present total and semi-inclusive cross sections and aver-age multiplicities. Estimates are given of the diffractive dissociation contributions to total and differential cross sections. Thex-,p T ?, and transverse mass dependence of inclusive and semi-inclusive distributions is discussed as well as properties of “prompt”K s 0 's. The ratio of “prompt”K 890 + (K 890 0 ) to “prompt”K 0 cross sections is measured to be 1.03±0.12 (0.98±0.17). From a comparison of \(\bar \Lambda\) production inK ± p interactions at 32 GeV/c, we estimate a strange sea-quark suppression of 0.26 ±0.02. The double differential cross sections ofK s 0 's is studied as a function of Feynman-x andp T 2 , and a Triple-Regge fit performed. The data are compared in detail to versions of the Lund-model for low-p T hadronic collisions.  相似文献

CP violation can be studied in modes of charmed or bottom baryons when a decay process is compared with its charge-conjugated partner. It can show up as a rate asymmetry and in a study of other decay parameters. Neither tagging nor time-dependences are required to observeCP violation with modes of baryons, in contrast to the conventionalB 0 modes. Numerous modes of bottom baryons have the potential to show largeCP-violating effects within the Standard Model. Those effects can be substantial for modes with aD 0, which is seen in a final state that can also be fed from a \(\bar D^0 \) . For instance, a comparison of theΛ bΛ CP 0 with the \(\bar \Lambda _b \to \bar \Lambda D_{CP}^0 \) process can show sizeableCP violation. HereD CP o denotesCP eigenstates ofD 0, which occur at a few percent. Six related processes, such asΛ bΛD 0, \(\Lambda _b \to \Lambda \bar D^0 \) ,Λ bΛ CP 0 , and their charge-conjugated counterparts, can extract ?, which is the most problematic angle of the unitarity triangle and which is conventionally probed with theB s→ρ0 K S asymmetry. HereD 0 andD ?0 are identified by their charged kaon or lepton. We predictB(Λ bΛD 0)~10?5, thusB(Λ bΛ CP 0 )~10?7. Under favourable circumstances,CP violation can occur at the few tens of percent level. Thus 102–103 Λ bΛ CP 0 decays start probing ?. Tables list many additional modes with typical branching ratios at the 10?5–10?6 level, with large detection efficiencies (in contrast to theD CP 0 ), and with potentially largeCP-violating effects, such as Ξ b 0 →ΛΨ, Λ?, ΛK*0; Ξ b ? →ΛK(*)?, Ξ?Ks, Ξ?K*0, Ω b ? →Ξ?φ, Ξ?ρ0, ΛK(*)?, ΩKs, Ω?K*0.  相似文献

TheK + → π+ π0 γ andK L,S 0 → π+ → π? γ are reexamined in a simple chiral Lagrangian scheme. The inner bremsstrahlung part of the amplitude is well explained within a chiral Lagrangian approach supplemented by the 1/N expansion, while the direct emission term is generated by the effective Wess-Zumino term. The calculation of these terms does not affect the present knowledge of CP violating parameter inK L,S 0 → π+ → π? γ and also there is no implication on theK L,S 0 → π+ → π± π° γ asymmetry parameter.  相似文献

Antilambda production is studied inK ? p interactions at 32 GeV/c. Both total and differential cross sections are presented. The inclusive \(\bar \Lambda \) production cross section amounts to 109±7 μb. A remarkable energy dependence is observed, σ( \(\bar \Lambda \) ) increasing by a factor of four between 14.3 and 32 GeV/c. Thep 2 distribution exhibits an exponential fall-off with a slope of 3.3±0.2 (GeV/c)?2. Most of the \(\bar \Lambda \) 's are emitted in the forward hemisphere. The invariantx distribution increases between 14.3 and 32 GeV/c. Data are presented for \(\bar \Lambda \) production inK - p→Λ \(\bar \Lambda \) +X K - p \(\bar \Lambda \) K n +X, andK - p \(\bar \Lambda \) p+X.  相似文献

We present a study of the inclusive production ofK *(892) and ∑t+-(1385)+cc at 3.6 GeV/c from \(\bar p\) p interactions. The sensitivity of the exposure is 35.4 events/μb. Longitudinal and transverse momentum distributions are presented. The indirect production ofK s 0 from parentK * and that of Λ's from parent Σ(1385) are studied. The shape of thex distribution of Λ's for \(p\xrightarrow{{\bar p}}\Lambda \) are calculated from \(p\xrightarrow{p}\Lambda \) and \(p\xrightarrow{{\pi ^ - }}\Lambda \) and compared with the experimental distributions. The difference of antiparticle production cross-section ofK s 0 in the central region is compared with the expectation from Mueller-Regge formalism.  相似文献

The inclusive production ofK s 0 , Λ and \(\bar \Lambda \) particles is investigated in 70 GeV/c \(\bar pp\) interactions in an experiment performed at CERN using BEBC equipped with a TST. Differential cross-sections are studied and compared with corresponding data at surrounding energies. Differences withpp data obtained at the same energy allow an estimate of theK s 0 , production cross-section in annihilation processes. Electric monopole transitions between the 0 2 + , 0 1 + and 2 2 + , 2 1 + levels in76Se, populated in the decay of76Br, were investigated by means of conversion electrons and gammaray spectroscopy. TheK-electron intensity ratios ofE0 andE2 transitions connecting the 0 2 + level to the 0 1 + and 2 1 + levels and of theE0 andE2 components in the 2 2 + →2 1 + transition were determined. The ratioX(E0/E2) of theE0 toE2 reduced transition probabilities and, from the available lifetimes, theE0 strength parameters ρ(E0) were deduced for the two transitions. Positivity and unimodality of the imaginary part of the forwardK ? p elastic amplitude on the unphysical cut allow the simultaneous calculation of theg KN Λ/2 andg KN Σ/2 , using exclusively experimental data on theK ? p channel. The bounds obtained are 11.4<g KN Λ/2 <13.6 and 1.0<g KN Σ/2 <4.3, and the allowed region for the real zero of the amplitude is 0.147<ω R <0.150 GeV/c.Both coupling constants produceF-type coupling fraction: 0.24<α<0.36, according toSU(3) symmetry.  相似文献

A one parameter, semi-empirical formula for Λ-binding energy of heavy hypernuclei in the inverse powers of core mass number (A c) has been developed in the framework of the folding model. Unlike similar calculations reported by other authors (Deloff 1971; Daskaloyanniset al 1985), we are able to take into account the effect arising from the difference in the number of protons and neutrons of the core nuclei having same mass number. The radius and diffuseness are parametrized using the experimentally known charge density data of a fairly large number of medium and heavy nuclei. The well depth parameter (i.e. Λ-binding energy in infinite nuclear matter) in the formula is obtained from a fit to theB Λ data of Λ 28 Si, Λ 40 Ca, Λ 51 V and Λ 39 Y. Using the original Λ-nucleus potential, theB Λ of ground and the experimentally known excited states of these hypernuclei have also been calculated by solving numerically the two-body Schrödinger equation. The agreement with the experimental data is satisfactory.  相似文献
