Excited states of 120Xe have been studied by in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy using the 110Cd(13C, 3n) and 111Cd(12C, 3n) reactions. The yrast band was observed up to the 14+ level, showing backbending at the 12+ state. A γ-band and two new negative-parity bands were found. The low-lying levels of 120Xe could be described by the IBA-1 hamiltonian plus a triaxial degree of freedom.  相似文献

The decay of125m Xe produced by the reaction122Te(α, n)125m Xe using a target enriched in122Te (95.4%) and the decay of127m Xe produced by the reaction127J(d, 2n)127m Xe have been investigated: 125m Xe decays with a half-life ofT 1/2=(56±3) sec by ayy- cascade withE γ1=(140.4 ±0.5) keV andE γ2=(110.5 ±0.5) keV. The experimental conversion coefficients yield multipolarities ofE3 for the 140.4 keV isomeric transition and predominantlyM1 for the 110.5 keV-transition. 127m Xe decays with a half-life ofT 1/2=(71±2) sec. The decay also proceeds by aγγ-cascade with an isomeric E3 transition ofE γ1=(172.5±0.3) keV and a predominantlyM1 transition ofE γ2=(124.6±0.3) keV. In the decay of127g Xe an additional branching of the electron capture to a level at (618.1±0.3) keV was observed. The relative probability forK-captureP K618/PK375=0.40 ±0.07 yields a total transition energyQ EC=(664 ±4)keV. A spin of 1/2+ was assigned to the ground state.  相似文献

High spin states in 126Ce and 127Pr were populated via heavy ion reactions with 182-MeV 35Cl projectiles on a thick 96Ru target. Prompt γ–γ coincidences were measured. New states in 126Ce and 127Pr were found. The results are discussed in the framework of the core–quasiparticle coupling model. Received: 16 June 1998  相似文献

Excited states of the nuclei127Xe and125Xe have been investigated in the inverse kinematic reactions48 Ca(82 Se,(3.5)n) at 275 MeV beam energy with the OSIRIS multidetector system at the VICKSI-accelerator of the HMI Berlin. The level scheme of127Xe was extended up to a level of tentative spin (51/2?). Two excited bands of 3QP-character were observed. For125Xe these structures were extended towards higher spins. Experimental Routhians of selected bands are presented.  相似文献

The low spin states of the nucleus127Xe have been investigated with the (, 2n) reaction by means of in-beam--spectroscopy, using theosiris-cube-spectrometer at the FNTandem accelerator facility of the University of Cologne. In the negative parity system, four excited states for each of the spins 11/2.15/2 and two 5/2.9/2 — states could be established at excitation energies up to 1MeV above the Yrast line. With this new data, we are able to compare the non-Yrast states and their decay properties to the corresponding states of125Xe, which had been studied with similar methods in Cologne. The almost one-to-one correspondence between the states of these neighboring neutron-odd nuclei is a clear indication that their excitations at low spin remain collective well above the Yrast line.  相似文献

The high-spin states of 145Tb have been studied in the 118Sn(32S, 1p4n) reaction at 32S energies from 161 to 175 MeV using techniques of in-beam γ-ray spectroscopy. Measurements of γ-ray excitation functions and γ-γ-t coincidences were performed with 12 BGO(AC)HPGe detectors. Based on the measured results of γ-γ coincidences, γ-ray anisotropies and DCO ratios, a level scheme for 145Tb was established for the first time. The observed excited states show typical irregular pattern in a spherical nucleus, and the low-lying levels have been interpreted qualitatively with a particle-core coupling. Excited states in 102Sn have been identified for the first time, in an in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic experiment. Two γ-ray transitions with energies 1472 and 497 keV following the decay of the seniority 6+ isomer with t1/2 = 1.0(5) μs were unambiguously assigned to 102Sn. Due to the very low cross section of about 2 μb for producing 102Sn in the reaction 50Cr(58Ni,1α2n), a highly selective detector setup utilizing NORDBALL ancillary detectors and a recoil catcher device was used. High γ-ray detection efficiency was achieved with two EUROBALL Ge cluster detectors.  相似文献

Excited states in127, 128Xe were populated in the reaction9Be+122Sn atE lab=38 MeV. The de-excitation of the isomeric states 7/2+ in127Xe and 8? in128Xe was studied using angular distribution and TDPAD methods on molten122Sn targets. The results are $$\begin{gathered} T_{1/2} (7/2^ + ) = 37 \pm 1 ns, g(7/2^ + ) = + 0.241 \pm 0.009 \hfill \\ T_{1/2} (8^ - ) = 83 \pm 2 ns, g(8^ - ) = - 0.036 \pm 0.009. \hfill \\ \end{gathered}$$ The experimentalg-factors suggest the main configurationsvg 7/2 andvh 11/2 g 7/2 for the isomeric states. Detailed analysis of the combined information fromg-factors and transition rates set stringent limits on the admixtures of the wave functions. The quasirotational bands built on the two-quasiparticle 6? and 10+ states are extended to higher spins, (14?) and (16+), respectively, and their structures are analyzed within the framework of the Interacting Boson Model.  相似文献

Levels in174Lu have been investigated using the176Yb(p,3n) reaction. Prompt and delayedγ-ray spectra have been observed with a 0.56-cm3 Ge(Li) detector by a multispectrum analysis method. The half-life and decay mode of two isomeric levels, one at 240.8keV (395±15ns) and the other at 365.1keV (145±3ns) have been firmly established. Hindrance factors are discussed. New delayed transitions in175Lu are also noted.  相似文献

An in-beam γ-ray study with the144Sm (α, p4n) reaction has established the high-spin states up to 5 MeV excitation and I=35/2 in the N=80 nucleus143Eu. The observed yrast states show the typical irregular pattern of a spherical nucleus, with frequent decay branchings and often dominant dipole de-excitation. The level spectrum is in qualitative accord with the coupling of the h11/2 proton particle to the known yrast levels of the142Sm core nucleus. Only in a few cases specific configuration assignments are made.  相似文献

A level scheme of 144Gd has been established using the 144Sm(α, 4nγ) reaction and in-beam spectroscopy methods. Excitation functions, γ-ray angular distributions, γ-γ coincidence spectra, γ-spectra time related to the cyclotron beam bursts and conversion coefficients for the delayed transitions have been measured. The level scheme comprises 11 levels with spins up to I = 12. Two isomers, a 13 ± 2 ns, 7? state at 2471.4 keV and a 145 ± 30 ns, 10+ state at 3433.0 keV have been observed. The former has similar excitation energy as the 7? isomers in 142Sm, 140Nd and 138Ce and it may arise from the d32?1 × νh112?1} configuration although its lifetime seems to indicate some degree of collectivity. The 10+ state has a similar excitation energy as the 10+ isomer found in 138Ce and it may arise from the dominant νh112?2 configuration. Below the 10+ isomer in 144Gd only two excited states have positive parity; the hitherto known first 2+ and 4+ states. The 11+ and 12+ states must include four-particle configurations or they have to be of collective nature. The latter possibility is supported by the considerable E2/M1 mixture (≈ 20 %) observed for the 11+ to 10+ transition. An analysis of the systematics of ground band levels in the N = 80 isotones shows the same gradual behavior between the two VMI solutions previously found for the Te isotopes.  相似文献

Excited states of the doubly-odd nucleus80Br have been studied via the reactions80Se(p, n),80Se(d,2n) and78Se(α, pn) using in-beamγ-ray spectroscopy. A positiveparity level sequence built on aI π=5+ state at 331.04 keV has been found up to spin (10). For this 5+ level de-exciting to the known 5? isomeric state and for the 6+ level at 357.22 keV half-lives of 0.7 and 0.4 ns, respectively, have been determined. Negativeparity states have been observed up to spin (6). For the positive-parity level sequence the configuration (πg 9/2,vg 9/2) and collective excitations are proposed. Some of the negative-parity states are tentatively interpreted as arising from the configurations (πp 3/2,vg 9/2) and (πp 3/2, (vg 9/2) 7 2/3 ).  相似文献

The effects on pair density fluctuations in superfluid nuclei, associated with the projection on good particle number, are studied. The model, which is based on standard particle number projection techniques, is developed for the case of one and two-body density fluctuations in spherical superfluid nuclei. The results, for the case of some even mass isotopes of Sn, show that pair density fluctuations and the derivative of the one body density almost coincide in a number projected BCS treatment of pairing correlations.  相似文献

Interstitial jump processes are studied using “in-beam Mössbauer technique” combining Coulomb excitation and recoil implantation. After implantation of Coulomb-excited57Fe into metals (α-Zr, Al, Nb and Au) at low temperature, a relatively large part of the implanted atoms ends up on interstitial positions yielding large quadrupole splittings. Inα-Zr, the interstitial line shows a clear quadrupole relaxation accompanied by a sharp decrease of the resonance intensity between 40 K and 100 K. This effect is interpreted as localized fast jumps of57Fe atoms in the octahedral cage of the hep Zr lattice. A preliminary result from a time-differential measurement onZr 57Fe is presented.

High spin states in 127Xe have been investigated via 9Be induced fusion-evaporation reaction at 48 MeV. Spin and parity of excited states up to \( \sim \frac {47}{2} \hbar \) have been confirmed from angular correlation and linear polarization results. Rotational alignment of the second pair of h 11/2 neutrons has been observed at \(\hbar \omega \sim \) 0.44 MeV; beyond that, the band is associated with ν[h 11/2]3 configuration. The alignment phenomena has been discussed in comparison with the neighboring 125,129Xe.  相似文献
