We prove formulas for special values of the Ramanujan tau zeta function. Our formulas show that L(Δ,k)L(Δ,k) is a period in the sense of Kontsevich and Zagier when k?12k?12. As an illustration, we reduce L(Δ,k)L(Δ,k) to explicit integrals of hypergeometric and algebraic functions when k∈{12,13,14,15}k{12,13,14,15}.  相似文献

The well-known law of quadratic reciprocity has over 150 proofs in print. We establish a relation between polynomial Jacobi symbols and resultants of polynomials over finite fields. Using this relation, we prove the polynomial reciprocity law and obtain a polynomial analogue of classical Burde's quartic reciprocity law. Under the use of our polynomial Poisson summation formula and the evaluation of polynomial exponential map, we get a reciprocity for the generalized polynomial quadratic Gauss sums.  相似文献

The study of Fourier coefficients of meromorphic modular forms dates back to Ramanujan, who, together with Hardy, studied the reciprocal of the weight 6 Eisenstein series. Ramanujan conjectured a number of further identities for other meromorphic modular forms and quasi-modular forms which were subsequently established by Berndt, Bialek, and Yee. In this paper, we place these identities into the context of a larger family by making use of Poincaré series introduced by Petersson and a new family of Poincaré series which we construct here and which are of independent interest. In addition we establish a number of new explicit identities. In particular, we give the first examples of Fourier expansions for meromorphic modular form with third-order poles and quasi-meromorphic modular forms with second-order poles.  相似文献

In this paper, we determine the closure in the full topology over Z of the set , where (un)n?0 is a nondegenerate binary recurrent sequence with integer coefficients whose characteristic roots are quadratic units. It is shown that square free set theoretic involutive non-degenerate solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation whose associated permutation group (referred to as an involutive Yang-Baxter group) is abelian are retractable in the sense of Etingof, Schedler and Soloviev. This solves a problem of Gateva-Ivanova in the case of abelian IYB groups. It also implies that the corresponding finitely presented abelian-by-finite groups (called the structure groups) are poly-Z groups. Secondly, an example of a solution with an abelian involutive Yang-Baxter group which is not a generalized twisted union is constructed. This answers in the negative another problem of Gateva-Ivanova. The constructed solution is of multipermutation level 3. Retractability of solutions is also proved in the case where the natural generators of the IYB group are cyclic permutations. Moreover, it is shown that such solutions are generalized twisted unions.  相似文献

We derive a formula for the density of positive integers satisfying a certain system of inequality, often referred as prime number races, in the case of the polynomial rings over finite fields. In this work, pseudorandom sequence generators based on finite fields have been analyzed from the point of view of their cryptographic application. In fact, a class of nonlinear sequence generators has been modelled in terms of linear cellular automata. The algorithm that converts the given generator into a linear model based on automata is very simple and is based on the concatenation of a basic structure. Once the generator has been linearized, a cryptanalytic attack that exploits the weaknesses of such a model has been developed. In this paper, I discuss the construction of the p-adic L-function attached to a Hilbert modular form f, supersingular or ordinary, which turns out to be the non-archimedean Mellin transform of an h-admissible measure. And h is explicitly given. As a special case, when the Fourier coefficient of f at p|p is zero, plus/minus p-adic L-functions are furthermore defined as bounded functions, and they interpolate special values of L(f,χ,s) for cyclotomic characters χ. This can be used to formulate Iwasawa main conjecture for supersingular elliptic curve defined over a totally real field.  相似文献

In the present paper we introduce some expansions which use the falling factorials for the Euler Gamma function and the Riemann Zeta function. In the proofs we use the Faá di Bruno formula, Bell polynomials, potential polynomials, Mittag-Leffler polynomials, derivative polynomials and special numbers (Eulerian numbers and Stirling numbers of both kinds). Let L, N and M be positive definite integral \({\mathbb{Z}}\) -lattices. In this paper, we show some relation between the weighted sum of representations of L and N by gen(M) and the weighted sum of extensions of \(\tilde M_{\tilde \sigma}\) in the gen(M σ) via N η when M is even and gcd(dL, dM) =  1. As a consequence of the particular case when M is even unimodular, we recapture the Böcherer formula (13) in (Böcherer, Maths Z 183:21–46, 1983) for the relation of the Fourier coefficients between Eisenstein series and Jacobi–Eisenstein series.  相似文献
