Nowadays, fractional calculus are used to model various different phenomena in nature, but due to the non-local property of the fractional derivative, it still remains a lot of improvements in the present numerical approaches. In this paper, some new numerical approaches based on piecewise interpolation for fractional calculus, and some new improved approaches based on the Simpson method for the fractional differential equations are proposed. We use higher order piecewise interpolation polynomial to approximate the fractional integral and fractional derivatives, and use the Simpson method to design a higher order algorithm for the fractional differential equations. Error analyses and stability analyses are also given, and the numerical results show that these constructed numerical approaches are efficient.  相似文献

<正>In order to figure out the dynamical behaviour of a fractional-order chaotic system and its relation to an integerorder chaotic system,in this paper we investigate the synchronization between a class of fractional-order chaotic systems and integer-order chaotic systems via sliding mode control method.Stability analysis is performed for the proposed method based on stability theorems in the fractional calculus. Moreover, three typical examples are carried out to show that the synchronization between fractional-order chaotic systems and integer-orders chaotic systems can be achieved. Our theoretical findings are supported by numerical simulation results. Finally, results from numerical computations and theoretical analysis are demonstrated to be a perfect bridge between fractional-order chaotic systems and integer-order chaotic systems.  相似文献

Recently, the discrete fractional calculus (DFC) is receiving attention due to its potential applications in the mathematical modelling of real-world phenomena with memory effects. In the present paper, the chaotic behaviour of fractional difference equations for the tent map, Gauss map and 2x(mod 1) map are studied numerically. We analyse the chaotic behaviour of these fractional difference equations and compare them with their integer counterparts. It is observed that fractional difference equations for the Gauss and tent maps are more stable compared to their integer-order version.  相似文献

In this paper, the Lie group classification method is performed on the fractional partial differential equation (FPDE), all of the point symmetries of the FPDEs are obtained. Then, the symmetry reductions and exact solutions to the fractional equations are presented, the compatibility of the symmetry analysis for the fractional and integer-order cases is verified. Especially, we reduce the FPDEs to the fractional ordinary differential equations (FODEs) in terms of the Erdélyi-Kober (E-K) fractional operator method, and extend the power series method for investigating exact solutions to the FPDEs.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a generalized unified method for finding multiwave solutions of the time-fractional (2+1)-dimensional Nizhnik–Novikov–Veselov equations. The fractional derivatives are described in the modified Riemann–Liouville sense. The fractional complex transform has been suggested to convert fractional-order differential equations with modified Riemann–Liouville derivatives into integer-order differential equations, and the reduced equations can be solved by symbolic computation. Multiauxiliary equations have been introduced in this method to obtain not only multisoliton solutions but also multiperiodic or multielliptic solutions. It is shown that the considered method is very effective and convenient for solving wide classes of nonlinear partial differential equations of fractional order.  相似文献

From point of view of physics, especially of mechanics, we briefly introduce fractional operators (with emphasis on fractional calculus and fractional differential equations) used for describing intermediate processes and critical phenomena in physics and mechanics, their progress in theory and methods and their applications to modern mechanics. Some authors’ researches in this area in recent years are included. Finally, prospects and evaluation for this subject are made.  相似文献

This tutorial review of fractal-Cantorian spacetime and fractional calculus begins with Leibniz’s notation for derivative without limits which can be generalized to discontinuous media like fractal derivative and q-derivative of quantum calculus. Fractal spacetime is used to elucidate some basic properties of fractal which is the foundation of fractional calculus, and El Naschie’s mass-energy equation for the dark energy. The variational iteration method is used to introduce the definition of fractional derivatives. Fractal derivative is explained geometrically and q-derivative is motivated by quantum mechanics. Some effective analytical approaches to fractional differential equations, e.g., the variational iteration method, the homotopy perturbation method, the exp-function method, the fractional complex transform, and Yang-Laplace transform, are outlined and the main solution processes are given.  相似文献

By constructing the iterative formula with a so-called convergence-control parameter, the generalized two-dimensional differential transform method is improved. With the enhanced technique, the nonlinear fractional Kolmogorov-Petrovskii-Piskunov equations are dealt analytically and approximate solutions are derived. The results show that the employed approach is a promising tool for solving many nonlinear fractional partial differential equations. The algorithm described in this work is expected to be employed to solve more problems in fractional calculus.  相似文献

The fractional complex transform is suggested to convert a fractional differential equation with Jumarie?s modification of Riemann-Liouville derivative into its classical differential partner. Understanding the fractional complex transform and the chain rule for fractional calculus are elucidated geometrically.  相似文献

Fractional order partial differential equations, as generalizations of classical integer order partial differential equations, are increasingly used to model problems in fluid flow, finance and other areas of application. In this paper we discuss a practical alternating directions implicit method to solve a class of two-dimensional initial-boundary value fractional partial differential equations with variable coefficients on a finite domain. First-order consistency, unconditional stability, and (therefore) first-order convergence of the method are proven using a novel shifted version of the classical Grünwald finite difference approximation for the fractional derivatives. A numerical example with known exact solution is also presented, and the behavior of the error is examined to verify the order of convergence.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a controller based on active sliding mode theory to synchronize chaotic fractional-order systems in master-slave structure. Master and slave systems may be identical or different. Based on stability theorems in the fractional calculus, analysis of stability is performed for the proposed method. Finally, three numerical simulations (synchronizing fractional-order Lü-Lü systems, synchronizing fractional order Chen-Chen systems and synchronizing fractional-order Lü-Chen systems) are presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed controller. The simulations are implemented using two different numerical methods to solve the fractional differential equations.  相似文献

The memristor is also a basic electronic component, just like resistors, capacitors and inductors. It is a nonlinear device with memory characteristics. In 2008, with HP's announcement of the discovery of the TiO2 memristor, the new memristor system, memory capacitor (memcapacitor) and memory inductor (meminductor) were derived. Fractional-order calculus has the characteristics of non-locality, weak singularity and long term memory which traditional integer-order calculus does not have, and can accurately portray or model real-world problems better than the classic integer-order calculus. In recent years, researchers have extended the modeling method of memristor by fractional calculus, and proposed the fractional-order memristor, but its concept is not unified. This paper reviews the existing memristive elements, including integer-order memristor systems and fractional-order memristor systems. We analyze their similarities and differences, give the derivation process, circuit schematic diagrams, and an outlook on the development direction of fractional-order memristive elements.  相似文献

This article analysis differential equations which represents damped and fractional oscillators. First, it is shown that prior to using physical quantities in fractional calculus, it is imperative that they are turned dimensionless. Approximated expressions that relate the two equations parameters, when fractional order is close to an integer, are presented. Following, a numerical regression is made using power series expansion, and, also from fractional calculus, the fact that both equations cannot be equivalent is concluded. In the end, from the numerical regression data, the analytical approximated expressions that relate the two equations’ parameters are refined.  相似文献

The theory of derivatives and integrals of non-integer order goes back to Leibniz, Liouville, Grunwald, Letnikov and Riemann. The history of fractional vector calculus (FVC) has only 10 years. The main approaches to formulate a FVC, which are used in the physics during the past few years, will be briefly described in this paper. We solve some problems of consistent formulations of FVC by using a fractional generalization of the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. We define the differential and integral vector operations. The fractional Green’s, Stokes’ and Gauss’s theorems are formulated. The proofs of these theorems are realized for simplest regions. A fractional generalization of exterior differential calculus of differential forms is discussed. Fractional nonlocal Maxwell’s equations and the corresponding fractional wave equations are considered.  相似文献

The time fractional wave-like differential equation with a variable coefficient is studied analytically. By using a simple transformation, the governing equation is reduced to two fractional ordinary differential equations. Then the homotopy analysis method is employed to derive the solutions of these equations. The accurate series solutions are obtained. Especially, when ?f=?g=−1, these solutions are exactly the same as those results given by the Adomian decomposition method. The present work shows the validity and great potential of the homotopy analysis method for solving nonlinear fractional differential equations. The basic idea described in this Letter is expected to be further employed to solve other similar nonlinear problems in fractional calculus.  相似文献

Judging by the remarkably large number of recent publications on Fractional Calculus and Its Applications in several widely diverse areas of mathematical, physical, and engineering sciences, the current popularity and importance of the subject of fractional calculus cannot be overemphasized. Motivated by some of these interesting developments, many authors have recently demonstrated the usefulness of fractional calculus in the derivation of explicit particular solutions of a number of linear ordinary and partial differential equations of the second and higher orders. The main object of the present paper is to show how several recent contributions on this subject, involving a certain class of ordinary differential equations, can be obtained (in a unified manner) by suitably applying some general theorems on explicit particular solutions of a family of linear ordinary fractional differintegral equations.  相似文献

A general fractional-order dynamical network model for synchronization behavior is proposed. Different from previous integer-order dynamical networks, the model is made up of coupled units described by fractional differential equations, where the connections between individual units are nondiffusive and nonlinear. We show that the synchronous behavior of such a network cannot only occur, but also be dramatically different from the behavior of its constituent units. In particular, we find that simple behavior can emerge as synchronized dynamics although the isolated units evolve chaotically. Conversely, individually simple units can display chaotic attractors when the network synchronizes. We also present an easily checked criterion for synchronization depending only on the eigenvalues distribution of a decomposition matrix and the fractional orders. The analytic results are complemented with numerical simulations for two networks whose nodes are governed by fractional-order Lorenz dynamics and fractional-order Ro?ssler dynamics, respectively.  相似文献
