Radial surface motion of the baryon bag is carried out in a model with relativistic kinematics, with confinement the result of volume energy and surface tension and the pion field coupled to the bag surface. We calculate radial wave functions for the nucleon, the Δ(1233) and the Roper resonance N*(1450), which is identified as the first radial excitation of the nucleon.

Results are used to calculate form factors and pionic decay widths of the baryons examined. The approximations made in these calculations are discussed in extensio.  相似文献

Relativistic corrections to the reaction kinematic parameters were made for elastic scattering of 6Li, 12C and 40Ar from 40Ca, 90Zr and 208Pb targets at incident energies between 20 and 100 MeV/nucleon. The results of optical model calculations show that the effects of such corrections are important when describing the angular distributions of elastic scattering cross sections for heavy ion scattering at incident energies as low as around 40 MeV/nucleon. The effects on the total reaction cross sections on the other hand, were found to be small within the energy range studied when the optical model potential is fixed.  相似文献

Two vector fields are considered, a timelike one,u , and an arbitrary one, . The relative expansion and rotation are defined with respect to these fields, their mutual relations are studied, and some general formulas obtained. Dirac–Born–Infeld theory is shown to possess a hidden invariance associated with its maximal electric field strength. The local Lorentz symmetry O(1,n) on a Dirichlet-n-brane is thereby enhanced to an O(1,nO(1,n) gauge group, encoding both an invariant velocity and acceleration (or length) scale. The presence of this enlarged gauge group predicts consequences for the kinematics of observers on Dirichlet branes, with admissible accelerations being bounded from above. An important lesson is that the introduction of a fundamental length scale into relativistic kinematics does not enforce a deformation of Lorentz boosts, as one might assume naively. The exhibited structures further show that Moffat's non-symmetric gravitational theory qualifies as a candidate for a consistent Born–Infeld type gravity with regulated solutions.  相似文献

The I=1 and I=0 kaon-nucleon s-wave phase shifts have been calculated in a quark potential model using the resonating group method (RGM) and a relativistic kinematics. The spinless Salpeter equation has been solved numerically using the Fourier grid Hamiltonian method. The results have been compared to the non relativistic ones. For each isospin channel the phase shifts obtained are not so far from the non relativistic results.  相似文献

The contraction method in different limits to obtain 22 different realizations of kinematical algebras is applied to study the supersymmetric extension of Ad S algebra and its contractions. It is shown that p2 h-, p, c2 and g algebras, in addition to d-, p, n-, g and c algebras, have supersymmetric extension, while n-2, g2 and g 2algebras have no supersymmetric extension. We obtain a non-linear generalization of the relativistic diffusion. We discuss diffusion equations whose non-linearity is a consequence of quantum statistics. We show that the assumptions of the relativistic invariance and an interpretation of the solution as a probability distribution substantially restrict the class of admissible non-linear diffusion equations. We consider relativistic invariant as well as covariant frame-dependent diffusion equations with a drift. In the latter case we show that there can exist stationary solutions of the diffusion equation besides the equilibrium solution corresponding to the quantum or Tsallis distributions. We define the relative entropy as a function of the diffusion probability and prove that it is monotonically decreasing in time when the diffusion tends to equilibrium. We discuss its relation to the thermodynamic behavior of diffusing particles.  相似文献

Photonic analogues of the relativistic Kronig-Penney model and of relativistic surface Tamm states are proposed for light propagation in fibre Bragg gratings (FBGs) with phase defects. A periodic sequence of phase slips in the FBG realizes the relativistic Kronig-Penney model, the band structure of which being mapped into the spectral response of the FBG. For the semi-infinite FBG Tamm surface states can appear and can be visualized as narrow resonance peaks in the transmission spectrum of the grating.  相似文献

The thermodynamics of moving bodies is developed from first principles. To do this, it is necessary to augment the laws of thermodynamics with a new principle, which asserts the impossibility of thermal equilibrium between bodies in relative motion. Clausius' theorem is generalized to heat flow between moving systems, and leads naturally to the identification of heat and temperature as Lorentz scalars. The formulation of relativistic statistical mechanics is carried out and the correspondence with classical quantities is made. The quantum distribution laws are generalized to the relativistic case, and are found to differ from their accepted relativistic form.  相似文献

A family of trajectories of a single particle, parameterized by initial velocities on some space-like hypersurface, is somewhat analogous to streamline fluid flow. This model is applied to electromagnetism and gravity by introducing velocity and displacement fields. The resulting kinetic field equations are of simpler form than the original equations of motion, and have certain advantages for solution. The gravitational kinetic field equation is, in fact, linear. Some simple solutions are given for illustration.  相似文献
