Summary Liquid chromatographic separations by the formation of donor-acceptor complexes (DAC) are reviewed. The article treats these examples, where donor or acceptor compounds are coated on or chemically bonded to a matrix. The origin of the discrepancy between the calculated dielectric constants of polymers and experimental data has been considered. The differences are caused by the effect of residual amounts of the polymer synthesis products or the solvent used for producing films (plasticizing effect), or by the nonlinear terms of the Clausius–Mossotti function that have an effect on the dielectric constant. In the framework of the developed approach, the influence of nanoparticles on the refractive indices of some polymers and polymer nanocomposites has been evaluated.  相似文献

Previously we have demonstrated that several structural features are crucial for the functionality of molecular field-effect transistors. The effect of additional structural aspects of molecular wires is explored. These include the type of, the thiol binding location on, and the chemical substitutions of a conjugated system. Pentacene, porphyrin, and the Tour-Reed devices are utilized as model systems. The thiol binding location is shown to have a varied effect on the transmission of a system depending on the molecular orbitals involved. Substitution by electron withdrawing and donating groups is illustrated to have a substantial effect on the transmission of single molecule devices. The substitution effect is either a simple energy shifting effect or a more complicated resonance effect, and can be used to effectively tune the electronic behavior of a single molecule field effect transistor.  相似文献

As fillers are traditionally designated those finely divided solids which are added to a polymer matrix in relativly large amounts to modify its properties and/or to reduce the price of the resulting compound. Generally a filler material is stiffer than the matrix and depending on their origin, shape and treatment fillers are reinforcing or not. In this presentation the authors will briefly review the characteristic mechanical effects on small strain behaviour, structure and time‐dependent properties of filled polymers stemming from the addition of more or less “spherical” fillers such as calcium carbonate, quartz flour, silica or glass spheres. The effect of such fillers on yield deformation, the nature of possible damage proceeding fracture and their effect on the toughness of particulate filled thermoplastics and thermosets will be discussed in more detail.  相似文献

Cancer diseases are currently one of the greatest health challenges in clinical medicine worldwide. Classic methods of treatment often lead to numerous side effects, including the development of multidrug resistance. For this reason, increasing hope is being placed on compounds of natural origin, mainly due to their pleiotropic effect on different types of cells, protective effect on normal cells and toxic effect on cancerous ones. The most studied group are the polyphenolic compounds, which include resveratrol. The effectiveness of polyphenols in the treatment and prevention of many diseases, including cancer of various origins, has become the basis of many scientific studies. The anticancer effect of resveratrol has been demonstrated at all stages of the carcinogenesis process. Additionally, whether administered by itself or in combination with cytostatics, it may play a significant role in the process of reversing multidrug resistance. A review of the effects of resveratrol in in vitro conditions proves that it has a stronger or weaker antiproliferative and proapoptotic effect on the cells of certain neoplasms of the gastrointestinal tract. Despite the differences in the effect of this compound on different types of cancer, a similar tendency can be observed especially regarding the correlation between the concentration of the compound and the incubation time on the one hand and the antitumour effect on the other hand. The information included in this review may prove helpful in planning in vivo and clinical studies in the future.  相似文献

The pH value of buffer solutions is crucially dependent on the relative concentrations of all species in solution. The addition of water or neutral salt can have a significant effect on the pH of a buffer solution. This study examines the magnitude of the "dilution effect" and the "salt effect" for several commonly used inorganic and biological buffers. Novel data are obtained for the change in pH observed upon dilution or addition of neutral salt to these buffers which add to, complement and extend existing literature values. The validity of considering the dilution and salt effects as a combined ionic strength effect is also considered as well as the ability of the pH measuring device to perform valid measurements in these extreme conditions.  相似文献

The effect of polyelectrolytes on the reaction of methylene blue with 1-benzyl-1,4-dihydronicotinamide was investigated. An accelerating effect was observed on addition of sodium polystyrenesulfonate of poly(potassium p-styrenesulfonate). On the other hand, deceleration was observed on addition of potassium polyvinylsulfate. No appreciable effect was observed when sodium p-toluenesulfonate or potassium chloride was used as an electrolyte. An obvious color change was observed when methylene blue is bound to these anionic polyelectrolytes. Some correlations with spectral change of methylene blue and acceleration or deceleration effect are discussed.  相似文献

The effect of solvent reaction fields and oriented electric fields on the Kemp elimination reaction between methylamine or imidazole and 5-nitrobenzisoxazole has been theoretically studied. The Kemp reaction is the most widely used for the design of new enzymes. Our results, using the SMD continuous model for solvents, are in quite good agreement with the experimental fact that the rate of the analogous reaction with butylamine is one order of magnitude smaller in water than in acetonitrile. In the case of external electric fields, our results show that they can increase or decrease the energy barrier depending on the magnitude and orientation of the field. A duly oriented electric field may have a notable catalytic effect on the reaction. So, external electric fields and reaction fields due to the medium can contribute to the design of new enzymes. Several factors that must be taken into account to increase the catalytic effect are discussed.  相似文献

苯乙酮衍生物与苯甲醛衍生物缩合制备各种查尔酮,报道了4种苯乙酮衍生物与9种苯甲醛之间相互缩合的结果,讨论了环上取代基对缩合反应的影响。苯甲醛环上取代基,除羟基外无论是吸电子基还是给电子基对缩合反应收率影响都不大;羟基处于醛基邻位和对位的苯甲醛与几种苯乙酮衍生物的缩合,多数没有得到预期的产物,或收率极低;苯乙酮环上的羟基对缩合反应影响很大,羟基超多,缩合越困难。提出了一种假设,试图解释羟基对缩合反应  相似文献

The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the bitterness-suppressing effect of L-ornithine (L-Orn) on single or mixed solutions of branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) using human gustatory sensation tests and an artificial taste sensor. The BCAAs tested (L-isoleucine (L-Ile), L-leucine (L-Leu), and L-valine (L-Val)) are the main components of various enteral nutrients or supplements. The bitterness-suppression effect of L-Orn was also compared with the effect of L-Arg. L-Orn was effective in suppressing the bitterness of single or mixed solutions of BCAAs in human gustatory sensation tests, the effect being similar to or greater than that of L-Arg. The artificial taste sensor was able to predict the bitterness-suppressing effects of L-Orn and L-Arg. The response electric potential patterns of L-Val, L-Leu and L-Ile solutions to which 100 mM L-Arg had been added were quite similar to the sensor response patterns of the 100 mM L-Arg solutions alone. The relative response electric potential patterns of L-Val, L-Leu or L-Ile solutions containing 100 mM L-Orn in channels 5-8 (positively charged) are similar to that of single solution of 100 mM L-Orn.  相似文献

The kinetics of the propagation reaction in the polymerization of isoprene initiated by n-, sec-, or t-butyllithium, in the absence or in the presence of the three corresponding lithium butoxides, are studied in the two possible major cases. In the first case, the propagation takes place without simultaneous initiation; the reaction is then first-order versus the monomer concentration and one-sixth-order versus the polyisoprenyllithium concentration. The lithium butoxides decrease the propagation rate, but the effect is not very dependent on the nature of the butoxide. In the second case, the presence of the initiator decreases the propagation rate in a manner which depends on the concentrations of the reactants and on the nature of the initiator. The effect of the lithium butoxide is not simply additive. Depending on the relative concentrations, a synergistic effect may be observed. It is suggested that the active species are chiefly ion pairs of unassociated polyisoprenyllithium. Ion pairs from associated molecules may have limited activity.  相似文献

A critical review on the effect of ultrasound (US) on enzymes and their biocatalytic action is presented here. Discussion on the information users of US acquire before utilizing the different devices, and the importance they give to US frequency is constant along the review. The authors have gone into the different areas in which the US–enzyme binomial has been applied. The lack of enough information on the US–enzyme-working conditions under which each piece of research has been developed, and the necessity to provide complete information on the data and metadata to give enough light on each piece of research (and thus on the potential comparison of results from different studies) are critically exposed. With this aim, the study has been divided into the positive effect of US on enzymes to favor the production of metabolites, polymers or proteins; and the degradation, inhibition or activation of the biocatalyst under US application. Also the effect of US on enzyme production and the main fields of application of the US–enzyme binomial are discussed.  相似文献

电势和浓度通过能斯特方程相互计算时,计算结果受对方数值误差的影响。本文通过误差传递和实例研究了这种影响。结果表明:浓度误差对电势计算值的影响小,而电势误差对浓度计算值的影响大;这种现象在电子转移数较多、电势较大时更加显著。浓度为计算目标时需要重视数值误差的影响,所以代入能斯特方程的电势值应该有足够精度,或者避免使用能斯特方程,而是通过平衡常数进行计算。电势为计算目标时,浓度误差的影响较小,因此可以通过近似手段估算浓度,然后代入能斯特方程,既简化计算,又保证精度。  相似文献

Many 2,6-disubstituted phenols are readily oxidized with oxygen, a tertiary amine and a copper (I) salt being used as catalyst. The products are diphenoquinones (I) or 1,4-polyphenylene ethers (II): The effect of variation of the substituents on the phenol and the infrared spectra of the polymers is discussed. Amine complexes of copper salts are the only effective catalysts found for the polymer-forming reaction. The effect on the catalyst of varying the copper salt and the ligand is discussed.  相似文献
