Let (ei) be a fundamental system of a Banach space. We consider the problem of approximating linear combinations of elements of this system by linear combinations using quantized coefficients. In this paper, we study the stability radii of positive linear systems with delays with respect to various classes of perturbations in infinite dimensional spaces. It is shown that the positive, real and complex stability radii coincide. Moreover, explicit formulas are derived for these stability radii and illustrated by a simple example.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the relationships of the newly developed continuous shearlet transform with the coorbit space theory. It turns out that all the conditions that are needed to apply the coorbit space theory can indeed be satisfied for the shearlet group. Consequently, we establish new families of smoothness spaces, the shearlet coorbit spaces. Moreover, our approach yields Banach frames for these spaces in a quite natural way. We also study the approximation power of best n-term approximation schemes and present some first numerical experiments.  相似文献

This paper merges some classifications of G-M-type Banach spaces simplifically, discusses the condition of K0(B(X)) = 0 for operator algebra B(X) on a Banach space X, and obtains a result to improve Laustsen's sufficient condition, gives an example to show that X ≈ X2 is not a sufficient condition of K0(B(X)) = 0.  相似文献

We give simple necessary and sufficient conditions on Bessel sequences {fi} and {gi} and operators L1, L2 on a Hilbert space H so that {L1fi+L2gi} is a frame for H. This allows us to construct a large number of new Hilbert space frames from existing frames.  相似文献

From the perspectives of duality and extensions, Gabor frames and wavelet frames have contrasting behaviour. Our chief concern here is about duality. Canonical duals of wavelet frames may not be wavelet frames, whereas canonical duals of Gabor frames are Gabor frames. Keeping these in view, we give several constructions of wavelet frames with wavelet canonical duals. For this, a simple characterisation of Bessel sequences and a general commutativity result are given, the former also leading naturally to some extension results.  相似文献

This paper studies Schauder frames in Banach spaces, a concept which is a natural generalization of frames in Hilbert spaces and Schauder bases in Banach spaces. The associated minimal and maximal spaces are introduced, as are shrinking and boundedly complete Schauder frames. Our main results extend the classical duality theorems on bases to the situation of Schauder frames. In particular, we will generalize James' results on shrinking and boundedly complete bases to frames. Secondly we will extend his characterization of the reflexivity of spaces with unconditional bases to spaces with unconditional frames.  相似文献

We present new general methods to obtain shift representation of evolution semigroups defined on Banach spaces. We introduce the notion of time operator associated with a generalized shift on a Banach space and give some conditions under which time operators can be defined on an arbitrary Banach space. We also tackle the problem of scaling of time operators and obtain a general result about the existence of time operators on Banach spaces satisfying some geometric conditions. The last part of the paper contains some examples of explicit constructions of time operators on function spaces.  相似文献

In this paper we give a generalization of the PI-controller design theory proposed by Kobayashi [T.A. Kobayashi, Digital PI-controller for distributed parameter systems, SIAM J. Control Optim. 26 (1988) 1399-1414] and later by Xu and Jerbi [C.Z. Xu, H. Jerbi, A robust PI-controller for infinite-dimensional systems, Internat. J. Control 61 (1995) 33-45] to stabilize and regulate a large class of infinite-dimensional linear systems in Banach space. We prove that even if the dynamic operator A of the open loop system does not generate a holomorphic semigroup, the invertibility of CA−1B (where C is an unbounded observation operator and B is a bounded control operator for the system) is still a necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of a robust PI-controller.  相似文献

We propose a natural analog of the Wold decomposition in the case of a linear noninvertible isometry V in a Banach space X. We obtain a criterion for the existence of such a decomposition. In a reflective space, this criterion is reduced to the existence of the linear projection P: XVX with unit norm. Separately, we discuss the problem of the Wold decomposition for the isometry V φ induced by an epimorphism φ of a compact set H in the space of continuous functions C(H). Motivated by a general dilation theory for operator-valued measures, framings and bounded linear maps on operator algebras, we consider the dilation theory of the above objects with special structures. We show that every operator-valued system of imprimitivity has a dilation to a probability spectral system of imprimitivity acting on a Banach space. This completely generalizes a well-known result which states that every frame representation of a countable group on a Hilbert space is unitarily equivalent to a subrepresentation of the left regular representation of the group. We also prove that isometric group representation induced framings on a Banach space can be dilated to unconditional bases with the same structure for a larger Banach space. This extends several known results on the dilations of frames induced by unitary group representations on Hilbert spaces.  相似文献
