We propose an extended Nambu-Jona-Lasinio model to include heavy mesons with heavy quark symmetry. The quark current-current interaction is generalized to include the heavy quark currents. In order to comply with the heavy quark spin symmetry at the heavy quark limit, the dependence of the quark mass on the interaction strength is introduced. The light and heavy pseudo-scalar and vector mesons, their masses and the weak decay constants are calculated in the unified frame.  相似文献

Isospin violation is driven through the light quark mass difference and electromagnetic effects.I review recent progress in extracting the light quark mass difference and tests of the chiral dynamics of Quantum Chromodynamics in various reactions involving light as well as heavy quarks.  相似文献

A way to calculate ratios of baryon produced from quark gluon plasma in relativistic heavy ion collisions is presented. It is assumed that at the beginning of the hadronlzation there are diquarks and anti-diquarks in the quark matter. The number of three-quark states is distributed between the corresponding multiplets, and hadronic decays are taken into account. The results are shown at last.  相似文献

At a very high temperature, the quark matter is a hot and dense matter under the colour deconfinement condition, and quarks can coalescent diquarks. Energy density of this system is figured out. A way to calculate baryon ratios produced from quark gluon plasma with diquarks in relativistic heavy ion collisions is presented.  相似文献

I discuss several recent highly accurate theoretical predictions for masses of baryons containing the b quark, especially Ωb (ssb) very recently reported by CDF.I also point out an approximate effective supersymmetry between heavy quark baryons and mesons and provide predictions for the magnetic moments of Λc and Λb .Proper treatment of the color-magnetic hyperfine interaction in QCD is crucial for obtaining these results.  相似文献

The doubly charmed baryon, like the proton and neutron,is formed by three quarks. However, they are different,as such a baryon consists of two heavy quarks(charm-quark)and one light quark, while the proton and neutron respectively contain three light quarks. Therefore the doubly charmed baryon is expected to have different internal structures and properties. For example, its mass is 3-4 times higher than those of the proton and neutron.Studying the doubly charmed baryons can provide important information to understand the three-body bound system, the hadronic interaction and the quark model.  相似文献

The littlest Higgs model with T-parity, which is called LHT model, predicts the existence of the new particles, such as heavy top quarks, heavy gauge bosons, and mirror fermions. We calculate the one-loop contributions of these new particles to the top quark ehromomagnetic dipole moment (CMDM) AK. We find that the contribution of the LHT model is one order of magnitude smaller than the standard model prediction value.  相似文献

We consider a simple model for the diffusion of heavy quarks in a hot bath, modeling the latter by an ensemble of oscillators distributed according to either a thermal distribution or to an out-of-equilibrium distribution with a saturation scale. In this model it is easy to introduce memory effects by changing the distribution of oscillators:we model them by introducing a Gaussian distribution,dN/dω.which can be deformed continuously from a δ-function,giving a Markov dissipation, to a broad kernel with memory.Deriving the equation of motion of the heavy quark in the bath,we remark how dissipation comes out naturally as an effect of the back-reaction of the oscillators on the bath. Moreover, the exact solution of this equation allows to define the thermalization time as the time necessary to remove any memory of the initial conditions. We find that the broadening of the dissipative kernel, while keeping the coupling fixed, lowers the thermalization time.We also derive the fluctuation-dissipation theorem for the bath, and use it to estimate the kinematic regime in which momentum diffusion of the heavy quark dominates over drift. We find that diffusion is more important as long as K_0/ε is small, where K_0 and ε denote the initial energy of the heavy quark and the average energy of the bath, respectively.  相似文献

By means of two typical kinds of quark energy loss parametrization and the nuclear parton distributions determined only with lepton-nuclear deep inelastic scattering experimental data, a leading order analysis is performed on the proton-induced Drell-Yan differential cross section ratios of tungsten versus deuterium as a function of the quark momentum fraction in the beam proton and target nuclei. It is found that the theoretical results with quark energy loss are in good agreement with the experimental data. The quark energy loss effect produces approximately 3% to 11% suppression on the Drell-Yan differential cross section ratios RW/D in the range 0.05≤x2≤0.3. The application of nuclear Drell-Yan data with heavy targets is remarkably subject to difficulty in the constraint of the nuclear sea quark distribution.  相似文献

Abstract The possibility of QQqq heavy-light four-quark bound states has been analyzed by means of the chiral SU(3) quark model, where Q is the heavy quark (c or b) and q is the light quark (u, d, or s). We obtain a bound state for the bbnn configuration with quantum number JR=1^+, I = 0 and for the ccnn (JR=1^+, I=O) configuration, which is not bound but slightly above the D^* D^* threshold (n is u or d quark). Meanwhile, we also conclude that a weakly bound state in bbnn system can also be found without considering the ehiral quark interactions between the two light quarks, yet its binding energy is weaker than that with the chiral quark interactions.  相似文献

We present a phenomenological ansatz for coupling a heavy quark with two light quarks to form a heavy baryon. The heavy quark is treated in the heavy mass limit, and the light quark dynamics is approximated by propagating scalar and axial vector ??diquarks??. The resulting effective lagrangian, which incorporates heavy quark and chiral symmetry, describes interactions of heavy baryons with Goldstone bosons in the low energy region. As an application, the Isgur-Wise form factors are estimated.  相似文献

The radiative decays of heavy mesons are considered in heavy quark symmetry formalism. Introducing the interpolating fields for the heavy mesons we obtain the transition matrix element and the corresponding decay widths in the heavy quark symmetry limits. The Isgur-Wise function present in the expression is determined by ISGW quark model. The results obtained agree reasonably well with other estimations.

We check a commonly used approximation in which a baryon with a heavy quark is described as a heavy quark–light diquark system. The heavy quark influences the diquark internal motion reducing the average distance between the two light quarks. Besides, we show how the average distance between the heavy quark and any of the light quarks, and that between the heavy quark and the center of mass of the light diquark, are smaller than the distance between the two light quarks, which seems to contradict the heavy quark–light diquark picture. This latter result is in agreement with expectations from QCD sum rules and lattice QCD calculations. Our results also show that the diquark approximations produces larger masses than the ones obtained in a full calculation.  相似文献

We calculate the low-energy limit of heavy quark current correlators within an expansion in the inverse heavy quark mass. The induced low-energy currents built from the gluon fields corresponding to the initial heavy quark currents are obtained from an effective action for gauge fields in the one-loop approximation at the leading order of the expansion. Explicit formulae for the low-energy spectra of electromagnetic and tensor heavy quark current correlators are given. Consequences of the appearance of a nonvanishing spectral density below the two-particle threshold for high precision phenomenology of heavy quarks are discussed quantitatively. We analyze the phenomenon of heavy quark condensation within the framework of the QCD sum rule approach. We discuss two alternative expansions for massive quark condensates. The first one (heavy to light quark expansion), introduced by Broadhurst and Generalis, establishes a connection between the heavy and light quark worlds. The other one (heavy quark expansion) is valid when only heavy quark systems are considered. As a byproduct we have obtained the coefficients of \(\left\langle {\bar qq} \right\rangle \) , \(\left\langle {\bar qGq} \right\rangle \) , 〈G 2〉 and 〈G 3〉 for all bilinear currents.  相似文献

The decay widths for the radiative decays of heavy baryons are calculated in the heavy quark effective theory. Introducing the interpolating fields for heavy baryons we obtain the transition matrix elements and the corresponding decay widths. Considering theSU(6) flavor-spin wave functions for heavy baryons, the coupling constants are calculated in the nonrelativistic quark model. Since the masses of the heavy baryons are not available, we have taken the predicted bag model masses. We find our results are quite different from that of the heavy quark bag model calculations.  相似文献

In high-temperature quark-gluon plasma and its subsequent hadronic matter created in a high-energy nucleus-nucleus collision, the quark-antiquark potential depends on the temperature. The temperature-dependent potential is expected to be derived from the free energy obtained in lattice gauge theory calculations. This requires one to study the relationship between the quark-antiquark potential and the quark-antiquark free energy. When the system's temperature is above the critical temperature, the potential of a heavy quark and a heavy antiquark almost equals the free energy, but the potential of a light quark and a light antiquark, of a heavy quark and a light antiquark and of a light quark and a heavy antiquark is substantially larger than the free energy. When the system's temperature is below the critical temperature, the quark-antiquark free energy can be taken as the quark-antiquark potential. This allows one to apply the quark-antiquark free energy to study hadron properties and hadron-hadron reactions in hadronic matter.  相似文献
