Two novel Ni(II) complexes {[Ni(en)2(pot)2]0.5CHCl3} (3) {pot = 5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thione} (1) and [Ni(en)2](3-pytol)2 (4) {3-pytol = 5-(3-pyridyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole-2-thiol} (2) have been synthesized using en as coligand. The metal complexes have been characterized by physical and analytical techniques and also by single crystal X-ray studies. The complexes 3 and 4 crystallize in monoclinic system with space group P21/a and P121/c, respectively. The complex 3 has a slightly distorted octahedral geometry with trans (pot) ligands while 4 has a square planar geometry around the centrosymmetric Ni(II) center with ionically linked trans (3-pytol) ligands. The π?π (face to face) interaction plays an important role along with hydrogen bondings to form supramolecular architecture in both complexes.  相似文献

Four new mixed ligand nickel(II) complexes viz., [Ni(tren)(phen)](ClO4)2 (1), [Ni(tren)(bipy)](ClO4)2 (2), [Ni(SAA)(PMDT)] · 2H2O (3) and [Ni(SAA)(TPTZ)] (4) (tren = tris(2-aminoethylamine), phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, bipy = 2,2′-bipyridine, SAA = salicylidene anthranilic acid, PMDT = N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine, TPTZ = 2,4,6-tri(2-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine) have been synthesized and characterized by means of elemental analysis, spectroscopic, magnetic susceptibility and cyclic voltammetric measurements. Single crystal X-ray analysis of [Ni(tren)(phen)](ClO4)2 (1) and [Ni(SAA)(PMDT)] · 2H2O (3) has revealed the presence of a distorted octahedral geometry. Superoxide dismutase activity of these complexes has also been measured.  相似文献

The syntheses and characterization of two novel ferrocene derivatives containing 3,5-diphenylpyrazole units of general formula [1-R-3,5-Ph2-(C3N2)-CH2-Fc] {Fc = (η5-C5H5)Fe(η5-C5H4) and R = H (2) or Me (3)} together with a study of their reactivity with palladium(II) and platinum(II) salts or complexes under different experimental conditions is described. These studies have allowed us to isolate and characterize trans-[Pd{1-Me-3,5-Ph2-(C3N2)-CH2-Fc]}2Cl2] (4a) and three different types of heterodimetallic complexes: cis-[M{1-Me-3,5-Ph2-(C3N2)-CH2-Fc]}Cl2(dmso)] {M = Pd (5a) or Pt (5b)}, the cyclometallated products [M{κ2-C,N-[3-(C6H4)-1-Me-5-Ph-(C3N2)]-CH2-Fc}Cl(L)] with L = PPh3 and M = Pd (6a) or Pt (6b) or L = dmso and M = Pt (8b) and the trans-isomer of [Pt{1-Me-3,5-Ph2-(C3N2)-CH2-Fc]}Cl2(dmso)] (7b). In compounds 4a, 5a, 5b and 7b, the ligand behaves as a neutral N-donor group; while in 6a, 6b and 8b it acts as a bidentate [C(sp2,phenyl),N(pyrazole)] group. A comparative study of the spectroscopic properties of the compounds, based on NMR, IR and UV-Visible experiments, is also reported.  相似文献

The reaction of copper(II) acetate or fluoride with classic dioximes in the presence of 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane resulted in four novel compounds with the compositions [Cu2(dmgH)4bpe] (1), [Cu2(NioxH)4bpe] (2), [Cu2(dpgH)4bpe] (3), and [Cu2(dpgH)4bpe][Cu(dpgH)2bpe]2·2DMF (4) (where dmgH2 = dimethylglyoxime, NioxH2 = 1,2-cyclohexanedionedioxime, dpgH2 = diphenylglyoxime, bpe = 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane, and DMF = N,N′-dimethylformamide), whose crystal structures were determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. In the binuclear molecules 1-3, as well as in both binuclear and mononuclear molecules in 4 each Cu(II) atom has an identical N5-environment formulated by four oximic nitrogen atoms of two monodeprotonated ligands in a slightly distorted square planar mode, and the nitrogen atom of the bpe molecule being in the apical position. The new compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Luminescence investigations for 1, 2 and 4 were carried out to clarify whether the guest inclusion in the crystal lattice is accompanied by changes in the emission spectra.  相似文献

Based on the versatile ligand 1H-3-(3-pyridyl)-5-(4-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole (3,4′-Hbpt) (1), a series of coordination compounds [Ni(3,4′-Hbpt)(ip)] (2), [Ni(3,4′-Hbpt)2(tp)(H2O)2] (3), [Ni2(3,4′-Hbpt)(5-NO2-ip)2(H2O)4] (4) and [Ni(3,4′-Hbpt)(pm)0.5(H2O)3]·2H2O (5) have been hydrothermally constructed through R-phenyldicarboxyl (R = H, NO2 and COOH) intervention effect (ip = isophthalic anion, tp = terephthalic anion, 5-NO2-ip = 5-NO2-isophthalic anion, pm = pyromellitic anion). Structural analysis reveals that 3,4′-Hbpt adopts μ-Npy, Npy coordination modes in two typical conformations in these target coordination compounds. In cooperation with the auxiliary ligands benzenedicarboxylate connectors, a variety of Ni(II) coordination networks such as 2-D layer with (4, 4) topology (2) 1-D chain (3), honeycomb (4) and 2-D helical chains (5) have been assembled. Theoretical calculation based on density functional theory (DFT) for ligand (1) is also employed to explicate the stability of the different conformations. Moreover, thermal stability of these crystalline materials is explored by TG-DTG.  相似文献

A series of square-pyramidal copper(II) complexes, [Cu(LSe)(NN)] (H2LSe = seleno-bisphenolate; NN = bipyridyl, phenanthroline or N,N-dimethylethylenediamine) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, magnetic measurements, IR, EPR, and electronic spectral studies. Single crystal X-ray structures of [Cu(LSe)(bpy)]·H2O (2), [Cu(LSe)(phen)]·CH2Cl2 (3) and [Cu(LSe)(N,N-Me2en)] (4) showed that all the complexes have approximately square-pyramidal geometry. In complexes 2 and 3, the square plane is occupied by O(1), O(2), N(1) and N(2) and the apical position by Se atom of LSe 2− ligand. The asymmetric unit of complex 4 contains two crystallographically independent discrete molecules A and B with CuN2OSe chromophore comprising the square plane and the axial position being occupied by another phenolate oxygen atom. Complexes 2, 3 and 4 are found to be paramagnetic and EPR parameters extracted are: g = 2.232, g = 2.069; 〈geff〉 = 1.95; and g = 2.232, g = 2.083 for complexes 2, 3 and 4, respectively. Both the complexes 2 and 4 show three reduction processes: (a) a quasi-reversible reduction of CuII to CuI, (b) an irreversible reduction of CuI to Cu0 with the release of free ligand, and (c) a reduction process occurs at this coordinated ligand. They also show a well-defined quasi-reversible oxidation of CuII to CuIII and an irreversible oxidation peak at ∼1.30 and 1.40 V vs. Ag/AgCl for 4 and 2, respectively, with no cathodic counterpart, and were attributed to the oxidation of the metal coordinated ligand.  相似文献

Four new metal-radical complexes - [Cu(NIT3Py)2(DTB)2] 1, [Co(NIT3Py)2(DTB)2(CH3OH)2] 2, [Cu(NIT4Py)2(DTB)2(H2O)2] 3, [Co(NIT4Py)2(DTB)2(H2O)2] 4, (NIT3Py = 2-(3-pyridyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide], NIT4Py = 2-(4-pyridyl)-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide], DTB = 3,5-dinitrobenzoic anion) have been synthesized by using transition metal ions, nitronyl nitroxide radicals as spin carriers, and incorporating 3,5-dinitrobenzoic acid (DTB) as a coligand.  相似文献

Ni(II) complexes (15) of di-2-pyridyl ketone N(4)-phenylthiosemicarbazone (HL) have been synthesized and spectrochemically characterized. Elemental analyses revealed a NiL2 · 2H2O stoichiometry for compound 1. However, the single crystals isolated revealed a composition NiL2 · 0.5(H2O)0.5(DMF). The compound crystallizes into a monoclinic lattice with the space group P21/n. Complexes 2, 3 and 4 are observed to show a 1:1:1 ratio of metal:thiosemicarbazone:gegenion, with the general formula NiLX · yH2O [X = NCS, y = 2 for 2; X = Cl, y = 3 for 3 and X = N3, y = 4.5 for 4]. Compound 5 is a dimer with a metal:thiosemicarbazone:gegenion ratio of 2:2:1, with the formula [Ni2L2(SO4)] · 4H2O.  相似文献

Self assembly of N-salicylidene 2-aminopyridine (L1H) with Cu(NO3)2·3H2O affords [Cu4(L1)4(NO3)3(CH3OH)][Cu(L1)(NO3)2](2-aminopyridinium)(NO3)·5CH3OH (1) which is composed of an asymmetric [2 × 2] grid-like cationic complex that co-crystallizes with a Cu(II) mononuclear anion. This remarkable tetranuclear unit presents three penta-coordinated and one hexa-coordinated Cu(II) sites. This quadruple helicate structure reveals strong anti-ferromagnetic coupling (J = −340(2) cm−1) between Cu(II) ions through a double alkoxo bridge. Reacting L1H with Cu(NO3)2·3H2O in slightly different conditions affords however a more symmetric tetranuclear grid-like complex: [Cu4(L1)4(NO3)2(OH)2](2-aminopyridinium)(OH)·CH3OH) (2). A dinuclear Ni(II) complex, [Ni2(L2)2(L2H)2(NCS)2(CH3OH)2]·2CH3OH (3), obtained with another related donor ligand (L2H N-salicylidene 3-aminomethylpyridine) was also prepared.  相似文献

Five new mixed ligand coper(II) complexes, viz. [Cu(SAA)(H2O)] (1), [Cu(SAA)(MeImH)] (2), [Cu(SAA)(EtImH)] (3), [Cu(SAA)(BenzImH)] (4) and [Cu(SAA)(MebenzImH)] (5), where SAA = salicylideneanthranilic acid, MeImH = 2-methylimidazole, EtImH = 2-ethylimidazole, BenzImH = benzimidazole, MebenzImH = 2-methylbenzimidazole, have been synthesized and characterized by means of elemental analysis, FAB mass spectrometry, magnetic susceptibility, X-band EPR, electronic spectroscopy, IR and cyclic voltammetry. The frozen solution EPR spectra of the complexes have shown axial features. Single crystal X-ray analysis of 2 and 3 has revealed the presence of a distorted square planar geometry (N2O2) in the complexes. The superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity of the present complexes has also been measured and discussed.  相似文献

Cis-diaquobis{di-(2-pyridyl)-N-ethylimine}nickel(II) chloride (2) was obtained from the reaction of di-(2-pyridyl)-N-ethylimine (1) and [NiCl2dppe] [dppe = cis-1,2-bis(diphenylphosphino)ethylene] in a 2:1 ratio in hot acetonitrile. Cis-dichloro{di-(2-pyridyl)-N-ethylimine}palladium(II) (3) and cis-dichloro{di-(2-pyridyl)-N-ethylimine}platinum(II) (4) complexes were obtained from the reaction of MCl2 (M = Pd, Pt) and (1) in equimolar ratio in hot acetonitrile. Compounds 1–4 were characterized by IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and mass spectrometry; the complexes 3 and 4 were characterized in solution by NMR. In addition, solid state structures of compounds 14 were determined using single crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. X-ray diffraction data of the complexes 3 and 4 showed a distorted square planar local geometry at palladium and platinum atoms with the chlorine atoms in a cis-coordination; in 2 a local octahedral geometry at nickel atom was observed. Complexes 3 and 4 are arranged as dimers with a M?M distance of 3.4567(4) Å (M = Pd) and 3.4221(4) Å (M = Pt), respectively; 2 consists of units linked by intermolecular hydrogen bonding.  相似文献

Complexes of naturally occurring hydroxynaphtho-quinone, lapachol (2-hydroxy-3(3-methyl-2-buthenyl)-1,4-naphthoquinone = HL) with Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) have been prepared by reaction of the corresponding acetates with the ligand (HL) in ethanol. The molecular and crystal structures were determined for [CoL2(EtOH)2] (1), [NiL2(EtOH)2] (2), and [CuL2(py)2] (3). In all cases the deprotonated lapachol behaves as chelating bidentate ligand. The complexes were also characterized by elemental analyses, cyclic voltammetry, and FAB-MS.  相似文献

An investigation of the MII/X/L [MII = Co, Ni, Cu, Zn; X = Cl, Br, I, NCS, NO3, N3, CH3COO; L = 1-methyl-4,5-diphenylimidazole] general reaction system towards the detailed study of the intermolecular interactions utilized for controlling the supramolecular organization and the structural consequences on the structures produced has been initiated. Three representative complexes with the formulae [Co(NO3)2(L)2] (1), [Zn(NO3)2(L)2] (2) and [Co(NCS)2(L)2]·EtOH (3·EtOH) have been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic methods and single-crystal X-ray analysis. Compounds 1 and 2 are isomorphous (tetragonal, I41cd) with their metal ions in a severely distorted octahedral Co/ZnN2O4 environment, while 3·EtOH crystallizes in P21/c with a tetrahedral CoN4 coordination. The structural analysis of 1, 2 and 3·EtOH reveals a common mode of packing among neighbouring ligands (expressed through intramolecular ππ interactions between the 4,5-diphenylimidazole moieties), enhancing thus the rigidity and stability of the complexes. The bent coordination of the two isothiocyanates in 3 [Co–NCS angles of 173.8(2) and 160.8(2)°] seems to be caused by intermolecular hydrogen bonding and crystal packing effects.  相似文献

The present work illustrates the versatile coordination modes of the amide-based ligands towards copper(II) ion. The reaction of the deprotonated form of the ligand, [L1]2− with CuCl2 affords a linear trinuclear complex, [Cu3(L1)2(Cl)2(H2O)] (1) which has been characterized thoroughly including single crystal structure analysis. The structure of 1 shows that one of the arm of the flexible ligand flips to coordinate second copper(II) centre, resulting in the formation of a trinuclear complex. On the other hand, ligand H2L2 in its deprotonated form reacts with Cu(II) ion to give complex 2 with general formula, [Cu(L2)]n (2). The crystal structure of the complex 2 shows that each copper is square-pyramidal with 5th coordination coming from the O-atom of the amide group from a neighbouring complex. This results in the generation of an one-dimensional zig-zag chain. The variable temperature magnetic measurements of the complexes, 1 and 2 show that while Cu ions in the former are antiferromagnetically coupled (J = −110.34 cm−1), a weak ferromagnetic interaction (J = +3.08 cm−1) exists in the later. A rationale, based on the orbital overlap from the copper ions and associated ligands, is provided for the observed magnetic coupling between the copper ions.  相似文献

The synthesis, structure, spectroscopic and electro-spectrochemical properties of sterically constrained Schiff-base ligands (LnH) (n = 1, 2, and 3) (L = N-[m-(methylmercapto)aniline]-3,5-di-t-butylsalicylaldimine, m = 4, 3, and 2 positions, respectively) and their copper(II) complexes [Cu(Ln)2] are described. Three new dissymmetric bidentate salicylaldimine ligands containing a donor set of ONNO were prepared by reaction of different primary amine with 3,5-di-t-butyl-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde (3,5-DTB). The copper(II) metal complexes of these ligands were synthesized by treating an methanolic solution of the appropriate ligand with an equimolar amount of Cu(Ac)2 · H2O. The ligands and their copper complexes were characterized by FT-IR, UV–Vis, 1H and 13C NMR and elemental analysis methods in addition to magnetic susceptibility, molar conductivity, and spectroelectrochemical techniques. Analytical data reveal that copper(II) metal complexes possess 1:2 metal–ligand ratios. On the basis of molar conductance, the copper(II) metal complexes could be formulated as [Cu(Ln)2] due to their non-electrolytic nature in dimethylforamide (DMF). The room temperature magnetic moments of [Cu(Ln)2] complexes are in the range of 1.82–1.90 B.M which are typical for mononuclear of Cu(II) compounds with a S = 1/2 spin state. The complexes did not indicate antiferromagnetic coupling of spin at this temperature. Electrochemical and thin-layer spectroelectrochemical studies of the ligands and complexes were comparatively studied in the same experimental conditions. The results revealed that all ligands displayed irreversible reduction processes and the cathodic peak potential values of (L3H) are shifted towards negative potential values compared to those of (L1H) and (L2H). It is attributed to the weak-electron-donating methyl sulfanyl group substituted on the ortho (m = 2) position of benzene ring. Additionally, all copper complexes showed one quasi-reversible one-electron reduction process in the scan rates of 0.025–0.50 V s−1, which are assigned to simple metal-based one-electron processes; [Cu(2+)(Ln)2] + e → [Cu(1+)(Ln)2]. The spectral changes corresponding to the ligands and complexes during the applied potential in a thin-layer cell confirmed the ligand and metal-based reduction processes, respectively.  相似文献

Four new complexes [Ni3(μ-L)6(H2O)6](NO3)6·6H2O (1), [Co3(μ-L)6(H2O)6](NO3)6·6H2O (2), [Ni3(μ-L)6(H2O)4(CH3OH)2](NO3)6·4H2O (3), [Co3(μ-L)6(H2O)4(CH3OH)2](NO3)6·4H2O (4) (L = 4-amino-3,5-dimethanyl-1,2,4-triazole) were synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The structural analyses show that complex 1 and 2 are isomorphous; complex 3 and 4 are isomorphous. Four complexes all consist of the linear trinuclear cations ([M3(μ-L)6(H2O)6]6+ (M = Ni,Co) for 1 and 2; [M3(μ-L)6(H2O)4(CH3OH)2]6+ (M = Ni,Co) for 3 and 4), NO3 anions and crystallized water molecules. In the trinuclear cations, the central M(II) ions and two terminal M(II) ions are bridged by three triazole ligands. Other eleven solid solution compounds which are isomorphous with complex 3 and 4 were obtained by using different ratio of Ni(II) and Co(II) ions as reactants and ICP result indicates that ligand L has higher selectivity of Ni(II) ions than that of Co(II) ions. The magnetic analysis was carried out by using the isotropic spin Hamiltonian ? = −2J(?1?2 + ?2?3) (for complexes 1 and 3) and simultaneously considering the temperature dependent g factor (for complexes 2 and 4). Both the UV-Vis spectra and the magnetic properties of the solid solutions can be altered systematically by adjusting the Co(II)/Ni(II) ratio.  相似文献

New coordination polymers [M(Pht)(4-MeIm)2(H2O)]n (M=Co (1), Cu (2); Pht2−=dianion of o-phthalic acid; 4-MeIm=4-methylimidazole) have been synthesized and characterized by IR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallography, thermogravimetric analysis and magnetic measurements. The crystal structures of 1 and 2 are isostructural and consist of [M(4-MeIm)2(H2O)] building units linked in infinite 1D helical chains by 1,6-bridging phthalate ions which also act as chelating ligands through two O atoms from one carboxylate group in the case of 1. In complex 1, each Co(II) atom adopts a distorted octahedral N2O4 geometry being coordinated by two N atoms from two 4-MeIm, three O atoms of two phthalate residues and one O atom of a water molecule, whereas the square-pyramidal N2O3 coordination of the Cu(II) atom in 2 includes two N atoms of N-containing ligands, two O atoms of two carboxylate groups from different Pht, and a water molecule. An additional strong O-H?O hydrogen bond between a carboxylate group of the phthalate ligand and a coordinated water molecule join the 1D helical chains to form a 2D network in both compounds. The thermal dependences of the magnetic susceptibilities of the polymeric helical Co(II) chain compound 1 were simulated within the temperature range 20-300 K as a single ion case, whereas for the Cu(II) compound 2, the simulations between 25 and 300 K, were made for a linear chain using the Bonner-Fisher approximation. Modelling the experimental data of compound 1 with MAGPACK resulted in: g=2.6, |D|=62 cm−1. Calculations using the Bonner-Fisher approximation gave the following result for compound 2: g=2.18, J=-0.4 cm−1.  相似文献

Varying coordination modes of the Schiff base ligand H2L [5-methyl-1-H-pyrazole-3-carboxylic acid (1-pyridin-2-yl-ethylidene)-hydrazide] towards different metal centers are reported with the syntheses and characterization of four mononuclear Mn(II), Co(II), Cd(II) and Zn(II) complexes, [Mn(H2L)(H2O)2](ClO4)2(MeOH) (1), [Co(H2L)(NCS)2] (2), [Cd(H2L)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (3) and [Zn(H2L)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (4), and a binuclear Cu(II) complex, [Cu2(L)2](ClO4)2 (5). In the complexes 1-4 the neutral ligand serves as a 3N,2O donor where the pyridine ring N, two azomethine N and two carbohydrazine oxygen atoms are coordinatively active, leaving the pyrazole-N atoms inactive. In the case of complex 5, each ligand molecule behaves as a 4N,O donor utilizing the pyridine N, one azomethine N, the nitrogen atom proximal to the azomethine of the remaining pendant arm and one pyrazole-N atom to one metal center and the carbohydrazide oxygen atom to the second metal center. The complexes 1-4 are pentagonal bipyramidal in geometry. In each case, the ligand molecule spans the equatorial plane while the apical positions are occupied by water molecules in 1, 3 and 4 and two N bonded thiocyanate ions in 2. In complex 5, the two Cu(II) centers have almost square pyramidal geometry (τ = 0.05 for Cu1 and 0.013 for Cu2). Four N atoms from a ligand molecule form the basal plane and the carbohydrazide oxygen atom of a second ligand molecule sits in the apex of the square pyramid. All the complexes have been X-ray crystallographically characterized. The Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes show considerable fluorescence emission while the remaining complexes and the ligand molecule are fluorescent silent.  相似文献

A novel versatile tridentate 3-(aminomethyl)naphthoquinone proligand, 3-[N-(2-pyridylmethyl)aminobenzyl]-2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone (HL), was obtained from the Mannich reaction of 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone (Lawsone) with 2-aminomethylpyridine (amp) and benzaldehyde. The reactions of HL with CuCl2·2H2O yielded two novel dinuclear copper(II) complexes, [Cu(L)(H2O)(μ-Cl)Cu(L)Cl] (1b), [CuCl(L)(μ-Cl)Cu(amp)Cl] (2) and a polymeric compound, [Cu(L)Cl)]n (1a), whose relative yields were sensitive to temperature, reagents concentration and presence of base. The crystalline structures of 1b and 2 were determined by X-ray diffraction studies. The two copper atoms in complex 1b are connected by a single chloro bridge with a Cu?Cu separation of 4.1342(8) Å and Cu(1)–Cl(1)–Cu(2) angle of 109.31(4)°. In complex 2 the two copper atoms are held together by a chloro and a naphthalen-2-olate bridges [Cu(1)–Cl(2)–Cu(2) and Cu(1)–O(1)–Cu(2) angles being 83.31(3) and 109.70(9)°, respectively, and the Cu?Cu separation, 3.3476(9) Å]. As expected, variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility measurements of complex 1b showed weak antiferromagnetic intramolecular coupling between the copper(II) centers, with J = −5.7 cm−1, and evidenced for complex 2 strong antiferromagnetic coupling, with J ∼ −120 cm−1. Furthermore, the magnetic behaviour of compound 1a suggested an infinite 1D coordination polymeric structure in which the copper(II) centers are connected by Cl–Cu–Cl bridges. Solution data (UV–Vis spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry) indicated structural changes of 2 and 1a in CH3CN, and evidenced conversion of polymer 1a into dimer 1b.  相似文献

Three mercury(II) complexes, [Hg((23-MeO-ba)2en)X2] (X = I (1), Br (2) and Cl(3)), and the ligand (23-MeO-ba)2en ((23-MeO-ba)2en = N,N′-bis(2,3-dimethoxybenzylidene)-1,2-diaminoethane) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, FT-IR and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The crystal and molecular structures of 1 and 2 were determined by X-ray crystallography from single-crystal data. The metal-to-ligand ratio was found to be 1:1. The mercury(II) center in 1 and 2 has a distorted tetrahedral geometry with HgN2I2 and HgN2Br2 chromophores, respectively. The Schiff base ligand (23-MeO-ba)2en acts as a chelating ligand, coordinating via the two nitrogen atoms to the mercury(II) center, and it adopts an E,E conformation. The coordination sphere of the mercury(II) center in 1 and 2 is completed by the two I and Br atoms, respectively. In complex 1 an inter-molecular non-classical hydrogen bond of the type C-H?O was found, while in complex 2 inter- and intra-molecular non-classical hydrogen bonds of the type C-H?X (X = O and Br) were found. The 1H NMR spectra of the complexes exhibit downfield as well as upfield shifts of the free ligand resonances, reflecting changes in the ligand’s geometry during its coordination.  相似文献
