A critical review of certain acylation methods for the determination of organic hydroxyl and amino compounds is presented. Esterification methods developed after 1955, involving seven anhydrides and five acid chlorides, are discussed. A brief survey is given of acid-catalysed acetylation and of colorimetric methods based on the esterification reactions.  相似文献

Summary A brief critique on the existing methods for the determination of LC column dead volume is presented. The dispute and controversy among scientists regarding the definition of column void volume, as well as the methods for its determination are pointed out. Difficulties arising in connection with the determination of the dead volume of cyclodextrin columns are discussed; it seems that the applicability of conventional methods is questionable. The methods discussed have been used for determining the results of several substituted benzenes that were collected in a database, with the main purpose of developing new estimation methods of these thermodynamic properties. Nanoparticles probably constitute the largest class of nanomaterials. Nanoparticles of several inorganic materials have been prepared by employing a variety of synthetic strategies. Besides synthesizing nanoparticles, there has been considerable effort to selectively prepare nanoparticles of different shapes. In view of the great interest in inorganic nanoparticles evinced in the last few years, we have prepared this perspective on the present status of the synthesis of inorganic nanoparticles. This article includes a brief discussion of methods followed by reports on the synthesis of nanoparticles of various classes of inorganic materials such as metals, alloys, oxides chalcogenides and pnictides. A brief survey of methods for monitoring of proteins is given, and the relative advantages and disadvantages of potentiometry are considered. A theoretical model is presented for direct potentiometric monitoring of a thiol-containing protein with a silver electrode. Ten different digestion methods were investigated for the determination of arsenic in soils by hydride-generation atomic absorption spectrometry. These methods included a dry ashing/digestion, several acid-leaching procedures, and digestions in a pressure decomposition vessel or a Kjeldahl apparatus. A certified reference sample was analysed and the results obtained for five other soil samples were compared with the data obtained by spectrophotometry. A nitric/sulphuric acid digestion was the most suitable. A brief interference study is reported.  相似文献

A review on the flow analysis of phosphorus with chemiluminescence detection is presented. A brief discussion of the chemiluminescence principles and applications is given. Particular emphasis is devoted to coupling different flow techniques (flow injection, sequential injection, multicommutation, multisyringe flow injection, multi-pumping) to chemiluminescence detection. Enzymatic and non-enzymatic methods, mostly applied to environmental samples, are summarized and compared in terms of application range, detection limits, flow configuration, repeatability and sampling rate.  相似文献
