金孔阵列电介质与金电介质孔阵列的强透射特性   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2

采用时域有限差分(FDTD)法研究了金膜厚度、电介质折射率及其厚度对金孔阵列电介质与金电介质孔阵列两种结构强透射特性的影响。研究发现这两种结构都具有较好的强透射特性,这表明光与金膜表面自由电子的电荷密度波耦合成表面等离子激元(SPP),对增强透射起到了关键作用。金膜厚度是影响强透射特性的主要因素,其衰减长度为35 nm;而与金膜相邻的电介质膜厚度对强透射特性影响极小。电介质折射率大小对强透射特性影响明显,折射率为1.8时能够获得较好的强透射特性。  相似文献

从理论上详细计算了在全内反射的条件下,两束入射光产生的隐失干涉场(即隐失驻波)的强度分布,并分析了其不同于传统传播波干涉场的特点。同时使用数值模拟证明了利用隐失干涉场,即隐失驻波的激发方式,可以提高系统的分辨力,在横向实现超经典分辨的荧光成像。具体的分析表明,两束光以相等的角度入射,同时振幅相等,偏振态相同,所形成干涉条纹的反衬度最高,此时成像系统的有效点扩展函数最优化;入射介质1的折射率越大,隐失干涉场的空间周期越短(空间频率越高),其对应的调制点扩展函数中心瓣的半峰全宽越小,可能分辨更小的物体,但同时旁瓣的强度也增强,最终成像的分辨力受两者的共同制约。  相似文献

分析了隐失波透过负折射率材料制成的透镜时,可以实现相位的调整,从而实现波的聚焦的原理;另外利用叠加原理(干涉法)及场量匹配法分析了负折射率材料如何实现对隐失波的振幅的放大,得到负折射率材料对隐失波有幅度增益,行波和隐失波都能聚焦成像的结论;并利用传输线理论提出隐失波透过负折射率材料平板时可等效地形成一个LC振荡电路,从而实现对隐失波的幅度增益.  相似文献

为了解决传统的强度检测型波导激励的表面等离子体共振传感器灵敏度不高的缺点,研究平面波导激励的介质膜-金属-被测介质的可激发修正的长程表面等离子体波结构。采用离子交换的方法制备折射率可用费米函数拟合的平面波导,研究了离子交换时间对平面波导的模数及等效折射率等特性的影响,为激励波导的优化设计提供有效依据。采用制备的平面波导激励介质膜-金属-被测介质的非对称结构,研究金属材质、介质膜厚和金属膜厚等因素对修正的长程表面等离子体波特性的影响,对被测溶液的折射率进行检测。实验结果表明,其灵敏度为传统的强度检测型表面等离子体共振传感器的6倍,并且具有较好的线性关系。  相似文献

研究了一种基于内置调制层结构的光纤表面等离子体波共振(SPR)传感器。通过在金膜与纤芯的内侧增覆具有不同厚度和属性的光学透明薄膜作为内调制层,构成了性能独特的光电复合薄膜,起到调节倏逝波矢量和金膜表面等离子体振荡波矢量的双重作用,进而控制共振效应,为调节灵敏度提供依据。采用时域有限差分方法对内置调制层结构光纤SPR共振激励模型属性进行数值仿真。在此基础上,研制了用于液体折射率测量的内置调制层型光纤SPR传感探针。实验结果表明,该传感器在1.335~1.392折射率范围内,随着待测液体折射率的增大,SPR共振光谱向长波方向偏移,且灵敏度达到2263.1nm/RIU,与基于纤芯-金膜-环境介质三层结构的常规光纤SPR传感器相比提高一倍,能够更好地满足环境折射率检测的需求。  相似文献

Propagation and tunneling of light through photonic barriers formed by thin dielectric films with continuous curvilinear distributions of dielectric susceptibility across the film, are considered. Giant heterogeneity-induced dispersion of these films, both convex and concave, and its influence on their reflectivity and transmittivity are visualized by means of exact analytical solutions of Maxwell equations. Depending on the cut-off frequency of the film, governed by the spatial profile of its refractive index, propagation or tunneling of light through such barriers are examined. Subject to the shape of refractive index profile the group velocities of EM waves in these films are shown to be either increased or deccreased as compared with the homogeneous layers; however, these velocities for both propagation and tunneling regimes remain subluminal. The decisive influence of gradient and curvature of photonic barriers on the efficiency of tunneling is examined by means of generalized Fresnel formulae. Saturation of the phase of the wave tunneling through a stack of such films (Hartman effect), is demonstrated. The evanescent modes in lossy barriers and violation of Hartman effect in this case is discussed.  相似文献

A tunneling mechanism of radiative transfer through a dielectric random medium is revealed applying technique of Dyson and Bethe-Salpeter equations for electromagnetic wave multiple scattering by medium inhomogeneities (scatterers) with near fields effects in scattered fields. The mechanism consists in existing inside of a random inhomogeneity a pair of virtually opposite decaying evanescent waves whose interference results in energy flux.  相似文献

Reverse-symmetry waveguides: theory and fabrication   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
We present an extensive theoretical analysis of reverse-symmetry waveguides with special focus on their potential application as sensor components in aqueous media and demonstrate a novel method for fabrication of such waveguides. The principle of reverse symmetry is based on making the refractive index of the waveguide substrate less than the refractive index of the medium covering the waveguiding film (nwater=1.33). This is opposed to the conventional waveguide geometry, where the substrate is usually glass or polymers with refractive indices of ≈1.5. The reverse configuration has the advantage of deeper penetration of the evanescent electromagnetic field into the cover medium, theoretically permitting higher sensitivity to analytes compared to traditional waveguide designs. We present calculated sensitivities and probing depths of conventional and reverse-symmetry waveguides and describe schemes for easy implementation of reverse symmetry. Polymer waveguides are demonstrated to be candidates for cheap, mass-producible reverse-symmetry sensor modules. The grating-coupled waveguiding films of controlled thickness are produced by soft lithography. The resulting films are combined with air-grooved polymer supports to form freestanding single-material polymer waveguides of reverse symmetry capable of guiding light. Photonic jets are normally generated in transmission mode and are represented as a spatially localized high‐intensity region on the shadow side of a particle‐lens, with a background to medium refractive index contrast of 1.3–1.7 while illuminated by a plane wave. Here, a photonic jet is discovered in the opposing plane wave propagation direction and lies in the area in the upper boundary of a near‐unity refractive index sphere on a high refractive index dielectric substrate. The redistribution of the power flow is inhibited during the reflected wave passing the near‐unity refractive index sphere. This has led to a unique effect on the focus position and shape of the produced photonic jet in reflection mode which can be maximally maintained near the sphere regardless of the modulation of the refractive index for the dielectric substrate material.  相似文献

A composite optical waveguide for biological and chemical sensors was successfully developed by sputtering a thin TiO2 film onto the surface of a low loss potassium ion-exchanged optical waveguide. The electric field of the evanescent wave at the film surface was made strong through adiabatic transition of the guided light. The attenuation of the guided light was sufficiently small in the air, and the guided light intensity was changed sensitively with the refractive index of the cladding layer (nc). Thus, nc can be sensitively monitored with a detecting sensitivity of about 10-4.  相似文献

The properties of the photonic nanojet generated by a two-layer dielectric microsphere are studied. Simulation results indicate that this novel structure can generate a photonic nanojet outside its volume when the refractive index contrast relative to the background medium is higher than 2:1 in the condition of plane wave incidence. When the refractive index is smaller than 2, we show that an ultralong nanojet generated by the two-layer hemisphere has an extension of 28.2 wavelengths, and compared with the homogeneous dielectric hemisphere, it has superior performance in jet length and focal distance. Its dependence on the configuration and refractive index is investigated numerically. According to the simulation of the two-layer dielectric microsphere, a photonic nanojet with a full width at half maximum(FWHM) less than 1/2 wavelength is obtained and the tunable behaviors of the photonic nanojet are demonstrated by changing the reflective indices of the material or radius contrast ratio.  相似文献

理论分析了金属、介质/金属结构空芯光纤在THz波段的模式结构和传输特性.金属空芯光纤支持TE11模式,介质/金属空芯光纤的介质膜厚在取最优值时支持HE11模式.对于波长为200μm的太赫兹波,内径为1 mm的两种空芯光纤,TE11和HE11模式的损耗分别为8.4 dB/m和2 dB/m.为优化介质/金属结构宅芯光纤的传输性能,分析了金属和介质材料的光学常数对衰减系数的影响.基于几种已发表的金属在太赫兹波段的光学常数,计算结果表明铝是最好的选择;初步测量结果显示,在各种树脂材料中聚乙烯在THz波段吸收较小,并且其折射率接近介质膜的最优值1.41,为太赫兹波空芯光纤中介质膜材料的理想选择.  相似文献

The refractive index of dielectric sheet materials (polystyrene, polypropylene) and of paraffin is measured at mm-wave frequencies using the specimens as dielectric slab waveguides. The mode wavelengths are measured in the evanescent field outside the slab of monomode and two-mode waveguides in which stationary interference patterns of modal fields are generated. 利用超材料吸波体对材料参数的电磁响应, 可将其应用于传感. 本文设计了一种工字形单元结构的超材料吸波体, 基于频域算法对其在太赫兹频段的传感特性进行数值模拟, 研究了待测样品折射率、厚度及电介质隔层厚度对超材料吸波体传感器的频率灵敏度、振幅灵敏度及品质因数的影响. 研究结果表明:当待测样品厚度为40 μm时, 折射率频率灵敏度可达到153.17 GHz/RIU, 折射率振幅灵敏度可达到41.37%/RIU; 待测样品折射率一定时, 厚度频率灵敏度随其厚度的增大而线性减小; 随着待测样品厚度的增加, RFOM呈增大趋势, 但增大幅度在逐渐减小; TFOM随待测样品厚度的增加而减小.  相似文献

A polymer waveguide was fabricated to amplify the evanescent optical field for biosensing. The structure of waveguide was designed to propagate a normal single mode at the input and output regions for low loss beam coupling and propagation. A sensing region was formed in the middle of the waveguide to activate the evanescent mode and to induce high birefringence by depositing a thin dielectric film with a high refractive index on a single mode waveguide. A polymer waveguide with the dimensions of 7 μm-width and 2.5 μm-thickness was fabricated by photolithography and dry-etching. The active region of the TiO2 thin film was fabricated with the dimensions of 20 mm-length, 20 nm-thickness and 2 mm-tapered tail. A polarimetric interference technique was used to evaluate the evanescent waveguide biosensor, and biomaterial such as glycerol was tested. The sensitivity of the sensor increased with increasing TiO2 film thickness. For the fabricated waveguide with a 20 nm-thick TiO2 film, the measured index change to the lead phase variation of 2π was 1.8 × 10−4.  相似文献

We theoretically study and propose the design concept of a new non-contact measurement method of the thickness and refractive index of dielectric film. The needed measurement set-up includes a probe, an optical detection head and a spectrometer. The probe is composed of two patches of dielectric substrates, and the optical detection head is used to detect the reflective spectra. After depositing a testing dielectric film on the two patches, the coating film thickness and refractive index can be determined by analyzing the normal-incidence reflective spectra of the two dielectric substrates. This method has two requirements. First, the coating dielectric films on the two substrates must be the same. Second, the two dielectric substrates respectively have higher and lower refractive indices than the testing dielectric film.  相似文献

针对镀高折射率纳米膜的长周期光栅,建立了传感理论模型,研究了长周期光栅的谐振波长与纳米膜厚度及外界折射率的关系,给出不同纳米膜厚度下长周期光栅不同包层模式重组特性.研究发现,当长周期光栅外面镀上一层沿角向均匀分布的纳米膜时,随着膜厚变化会出现包层模分布的明显调制;适当选择镀膜参数和外界介质折射率,最低次包层模式HE1,2会成为镀膜层中的导模,其他的包层模式将会发生模式转换现象;对于较低次包层模式(如HE1.6),在模式转换的时候存在两步转换,而高次的包层模只有一步转换(如HE1.14).同时给出了包层模式转换对外界折射率响应的关系:当膜层厚度增加时,长周期光栅模式转换现象移至低折射率区域.  相似文献

用特征矩阵法计算了光波在包含多种掺杂缺陷的一维光子晶体中的传播规律,与不包含缺陷的结构相比较,在禁带中形成缺陷模。缺陷模的位置、数目和强度不仅和缺陷的产生方式有关,还和缺陷位置处的光学厚度及折射率的变化有关。当掺杂缺陷的位置呈等间距时,相应缺陷模也呈等间距排列。随着掺杂缺陷光学厚度的变化,缺陷模的位置、数目也随之变化。保持掺杂缺陷光学厚度不变,掺杂缺陷折射率的变化将会引起缺陷模强度的变化,并存在一个最大值。缺陷模的出现一般使带隙加宽,尤其是掺杂介质的折射率与周期介质的折射率差别较大时更加明显。掺杂空气介质时可使缺陷模的透射率近似为1。  相似文献

We experimentally report a magnetic plasmonic metamaterial, which is constructed with a metal ring-shaped disk array supported by a dielectric layer on a metal film for high sensitive refractive index sensing. An ultrasensitive refractive index sensitivity of about 1842?nm per refractive index unit is achieved through the reflection spectrum measurement. We attribute the high sensitivity to greatly enhanced electric field intensity and its large spatial overlapping with the surrounding medium to sense. The present plasmonic structure provides an effective way for high sensitive chip-based biochemical sensors and integrated devices.  相似文献
