Within the framework of the conditions ; » –1 ( –1 is the mean time of momentum relaxation), the coefficient of absorption () of a weak electromagnetic wave by the free carriers of a polar semiconductor is calculated in the presence of a strong wave (of frequency ), for arbitrary values of and . Photon absorption by band electrons is due to these latter interacting with optical phonons (of frequency o). The problem is solved by using an analogous approach to the theory of the linear Kubo reaction. The results are valid in the absence of electron heating, when a strong wave only influences the scattering probability. The appearance of a photostimulated tail of absorption is predicted for < o, including the jump () for ( – o + ) 0T as well as peaks in the function () at the points s=s (s=1, 2, 3,...). The paper is devoted to a study of cyclotron instability ( e) of two opposite beams of electrons from the aspect of the quasilinear effects. For this case of instability the authors evolve the diffusion equation in the velocity space for an averaged distribution function. They estimate the relaxation times , z of the spreading of the distribution function in the velocity space. At the end of the paper, they compare their results with an experiment described by M. For a bounded open domain with connected complement inR 2 and piecewise smooth boundary, we consider the Dirichlet Laplacian- on and the S-matrix on the complement c . We show that the on-shell S-matricesS k have eigenvalues converging to 1 askk 0 exactly when-- has an eigenvalue at energyk 0 2 . This includes multiplicities, and proves a weak form of transparency atk=k 0. The paper explains the theory of modelling electrostatic fields by a resistance network. The conditions, which the resistance network must satisfy, are derived and the question of modelling electrodes of different shapes is solved. The finished network and the results obtained on it when modelling a jet for a linear h-f accelerator of electrons are described. Particular attention is paid to the influence of a space charge, the modelling of which is an advantage of this method.

An expression is derived for the anomalous part (T, ) of the soft-mode damping function due to third-order interaction between critical optical phonons and acoustic phonons. It is shown that in crystals with a large elastic viscosity the damping function of critical phonons can have stronger temperature anomalies near phase-transition points. A time-harmonic electromagnetic plane wave obliquely incident on a half-space or a slab consisting of a so-called medium is considered. The up- and down-going eigenmodes in the medium are derived and used to calculate the reflection and transmission coefficients for TE and TM modes. The Brewster angles for an half-space are computed. We present an algorithm for numerically computing an absolutely continuous invariant measure associated with a piecewiseC 2 expanding mappingS: on a bounded region R N. The method is based on the Galerkin projection principle for solving an operator equation in a Banach space. Using cosmological relativity theory, we derive the formula for the cosmological redshift written explicitly in terms of 1 – , where = /c is the ratio of the average mass density to the critical closure density. Based on the present day data of observed redshifts, we conclude that < 1, which means the universe is infinite and curved, and expands forever.  相似文献

We define a nondegenerate Monge–Ampère structure on a six-dimensional manifold as a pair (, ), such that is a symplectic form and is a 3-differential form which satisfies =0 and which is nondegenerate in the sense of Hitchin. We associate with such a pair a generalized almost (pseudo) Calabi–Yau structure and we study its integrability from the point of view of Monge–Ampère operators theory. The result we prove appears as an analogue of Lychagin and Roubtsov theorem on integrability of the almost complex or almost product structure associated with an elliptic or hyperbolic Monge–Ampère equation in dimension 4. We consider KAM invariant curves for generalizations of the standard map of the form (x, y)=(x+y, y+f(x)), wheref(x) is an odd trigonometric polynomial. We study numerically their analytic properties by a Padé approximant method applied to the function which conjugates the dynamics to a rotation +. In the complex plane, natural boundaries of different shapes are found. In the complex plane the analyticity region appears to be a strip bounded by a natural boundary, whose width tends linearly to 0 as tends to the critical value.  相似文献

The theory and structure of the temperature image
The paper describes the theory of the formation of a temperature image when there are large temperature differences and introduces the concept of temperature distortion of an image. It also deals with the geometrical distortion of the temperature image by the longitudinal thermal conductivity of the receiver layer and gives a solution of the corresponding differential equation of the temperature image for the case of a general linear line test and general circular concentric test. Equations are derived for the temperature distributions of the temperature images of some optical lineated and circular test objects and their geometrical distortion due to the thermal conductivity of the receiver layer is investigated.

A new approximate method for theoretically calculating longitudinal vibration frequencies of isotropic homogeneous rods of square and rectangular cross-section is given. We divide a three-dimensional longitudinal vibration into three one-dimensional ones; the coupling between the principal strains in question is assumed to be linear, similarly as in the static case of simple tension. The coupling between the deformations is realized by variable coupling parameters or depending on the order of vibrations (contrary to Rayleigh's correction where Poisson's ratio is the coupling parameter). These parameters are defined by the condition that the corresponding frequency must be minimized (stationary).Up till now Giebe and Blechschmidt [2] have given the best approximate method of calculation. The series of their calculated frequencies corresponds to the measuredones nearly as well as the frequencies calculated by us. The theory described here, however, contains a richer spectrum of frequencies and at the same time explains the frequencies measured in the range of the so-called dead zone, which is the weak point of Giebe's and Blechschmidt's theory.

The paper presents a study of the dependence of initiation and development of instability on the cyclotron frequency of electrons in a homogeneous plasma with cold ions and electrons forming two beams which move in the direction of, and opposite to, that of a constant magnetic field. It is demonstrated that for 2 2 , the instability can already arise at pe 2 ce 2 , and a brief comparison with the experimental results is carried out.The authors take this opportunity to thank Dr. M. The wave-wave interaction of three interacting waves for a nonlinear model equation in a dispersive medium is studied. It is found that the nonlinear effect causes precession of the polarization ellipse as the wave propagates under the resonance condition 1 = 2 + 3 and k1 k2 + k3. The frequency shifts and the precessional frequencies are obtained under the above resonance conditions. A technique has been developed for the evaluation of self-precession and frequency shifts for circularly polarized waves.The author expresses his gratitude to Dr. B. Zusammenfassung Es sind die Versuchsergebnisse des Studiums der Photoerscheinungen bei verschieden bearbeiteten Metallen (Au, Al, Pt) angeführt. Die Metallfolien wurden an der Luft mit UV-Licht bestrahlt und gleichmä\ig erwärmt. Die Ergebnisse wurden vom Gesichtspunkt der neueren Kenntnisse über Adsorption, Katalyse und Oxydation diskutiert. Daraus sind Folgerungen gezogen worden, die in manchen Fällen zu Bedenken über die Klärung der Exo-Emissions-Glow-Kurven zu führen scheinen.

We discuss the problem of universe acceleration driven by global rotation. The redshift-magnitude relation is calculated and discussed in the context of SN Ia observation data. It is shown that the dynamics of considered problem is equivalent to the Friedmann model with additional non-interacting fluid with negative pressure. We demonstrate that the universe acceleration increase is due to the presence of global rotation effects, although the cosmological constant is still required to explain the SN Ia data. We discuss some observational constraints coming from SN Ia imposed on the behaviour of the homogeneous Newtonian universe in which matter rotates relative local gyroscopes. In the Newtonian theory r,0 can be identified with ,0 (only dust fluid is admissible) and rotation can exist with r,0 =,0 0. However, the best-fit flat model is the model without rotation, i.e., ,0 =0. In the considered case we obtain the limit for ,0>-0.033 on the confidence level 68.3. We are also beyond the model and postulate the existence of additional matter which scales like radiation matter and then analyse how that model fits the SN Ia data. In this case the limits on rotation coming from BBN and CMB anisotropies are also obtained. If we assume that the current estimates are m,0 ~ 0.3, r,0 ~ 10-4, then the SN Ia data show that ,0 -0.01 (or 0 > 2.6 · 10-19 rad/s). The statistical analysis gives us that the interval for any matter scaling like radiation is r,0 ( - 0.01, 0.04).  相似文献
