We study the spectrum of the QCD Dirac operator for two colors with fermions in the fundamental representation and for two or more colors with adjoint fermions. For Nf flavors, the chiral flavor symmetry of these theories is spontaneously broken according to SU (2NfSp (2Nf) and SU (NfO (Nf), respectively, rather than the symmetry breaking pattern SU (Nf) × SU (Nf) → SU (Nf) for QCD with three or more colors and fundamental fermions. In this paper we study the Dirac spectrum for the first two symmetry breaking patterns. Following previous work for the third case we find the Dirac spectrum in the domain λ ΛQCD by means of partially quenched chiral perturbation theory. In particular, this result allows us to calculate the slope of the Dirac spectrum at λ = 0. We also show that for λ 1/L2 ΛQCD (wing L the linear size fo the system) the Dirac spectrum is given by a chiral Random Matrix Theory with the symmetries of the Dirac operator.  相似文献

We present a nonperturbative lattice formulation of noncommutative Yang–Mills theories in arbitrary even dimension. We show that lattice regularization of a noncommutative field theory requires finite lattice volume which automatically provides both an ultraviolet and an infrared cutoff. We demonstrate explicitly Morita equivalence of commutative U(p) gauge theory with p·nf flavours of fundamental matter fields on a lattice of size L with twisted boundary conditions and noncommutative U(1) gauge theory with nf species of matter on a lattice of size p·L with single-valued fields. We discuss the relation with twisted large N reduced models and construct observables in noncommutative gauge theory with matter.  相似文献

The φ34 model at finite temperature is simulated on the lattice. For fixed Nt we compute the transition line for Ns → ∞ by means of finite size scaling techniques. The crossings of a renormalization group trajectory with the transition lines of increasing Nt give a well-defined limit for the critical temperature in the continuum. By considering different RG trajectories, we compute Tc/g as a function of the renormalized parameters.  相似文献

We give generalizations of extended Poincaré supergravity with arbitrarily many supersymmetries in the absence of central charges in three dimensions by gauging its intrinsic global SO(N) symmetry. We call these 0 (Aleph-null) supergravity theories. We further couple a non-Abelian supersymmetric Chern-Simons theory and an Abelian topological BF theory to 0 supergravity. Our result overcomes the previous difficulty for supersymmetrization of Chern-Simons theories beyond N = 4. This feature is peculiar to the Chern-Simons and BF theories including supergravity in three dimensions. We also show that dimensional reduction schemes for four-dimensional theories such as N = 1 self-dual supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory or N = 1 supergravity theory that can generate 0 globally and locally supersymmetric theories in three dimensions. As an interesting application, we present 0 supergravity Liouville theory in two dimensions after appropriate dimensional reduction from three dimensions.  相似文献

In the normal phase (where no dynamical fermion mass generation occurs) of the D-dimensional quantum electrodynamics with Nf flavors of fermions, we derive an integral equation which should be satisfied by (the inverse of) the wave function renormalization of the fermion in the Landau gauge. For this we use the inverse Landau-Khalatnikov transformation connecting the nonlocal gauge with the Landau gauge. This leads to a similar equation for the running flavor number in the framework of the 1/Nf resumed Schwinger-Dyson equation. Solving the equation analytically and numerically, we study the infrared behavior and the critical exponent of the 3-dimensional QED (QED3). This confirms that the flavor number in QED3 runs according to the β function which is consistent with the asymptotic freedom as that in 4-dimensional QCD.  相似文献

In this work we analyze the characteristics of quantum entanglement of the Dirac field in noninertial reference frames in the context of a new type pseudo-pure state, which is composed of the Bell states. This will help us to understand the relationship between the relativity and quantum information theory. Some states will be changed from entangled states into separable ones around the critical value F = 1/4, but there is no such a critical value for the variable y related to acceleration a. We find that the negativity NABI (ρTAABI) increases with F but decreases with the variable y, while the variation of the negativity NBIBII(ρTAABI) is opposite to that of the negativity NABI (ρTAABI). We also study the von Neumann entropies S(ρABI) and S(ρBIBII). We find that the S(ρABI) increases with variable y but S(ρBIBII) is independent of it. However, both S(ρABI) and S(ρBIBII) first decreases with F and then increases with it. The concurrences C(ρABI) and C(ρBIBII) are also discussed. We find that the former decreases with y while the latter increases with y but both of them first increase with F and then decrease with it.  相似文献

We present constraints on the relative photoproduction cross sections of positive parity pentaquark states, Σ5, Λ5, and N5, based on a minimum phenomenology gained in and their baryon–meson couplings as in the work of Close and Dudek. The possibility of anomalous signals in γpK0S+d+) is discussed. We emphasize the importance of comparing with “conventional” states such as γNKΣ(1660).  相似文献

The spectrum of the squared Dirac operator is studied in the background of symmetric instanton-like configurations on symmetric spaces G/H. The eigenvalues are expressed in terms of Casimir invariants of G and H. These eigenvalues determine the masses of fermions in Kaluza-Klein theories with compactification induced by the generalized instantons. The G-representations of the zero modes are determined for fermions in arbitrary representations of H on Sn and CPn. For spheres in even dimensions a comparison with the index theorem reveals a remarkable relation between the Nth index (or anomaly) of SO(2N) and dimensions of SO(2N + 1) representations. Using the fundamental indices, we find the topologically stable symmetric solutions on S2n for any gauge group, and compare with recent results on local stability.  相似文献

The influence of the sintering conditions on the microstructure and critical current density Jc has been studied on screen-printed Ag-(Bi, Pb)2Sr2Ca2Cu3Ox tapes with a ceramics mono-layer core. Three kinds of fabrication processes, which consist of a combination of cold working (rolling and/or pressing) and sintering, are applied. Four times repetition of pressing and sintering after the pre-sintering produces the highest c-axis alignment and achieves Jc= 1.5 × 104 A/cm2 (77 K, 0 T). The Jc versus θ data with an angle θ between B and the c-axis elucidate the relation between the anisotropy ratio γ=Jc(Bc)/Jc(B|c and the half-height angular width Δθ of a peak for Bc. This is related to both grain alignment and the Jc value. An increase in Jc, which comes from an improvement for grain alignment, enhances γ and narrows Δθ. The Jc versus θ data are fitted to the expression Jc(B, θ)=J c(B, 90°)/[(γ−1)|cos θ|n+1] by regarding both γ and n as adjustable parameters. Fabrication of screen-printed tapes with multilayers (1≤N≤5) is presented, where the critical current increases from 8.0 A to 30.2 A at 77 K and 0 T as N increases.  相似文献

We have investigated the reversible mixed-state magnetization M of three lanthanum substituted Bi1.95Sr2.05−xLaxCuOy (Bi-2201) ceramic samples having different critical temperatures Tc ranging from 20.0 to 35.5 K. As for the Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ (Bi-2212) phase, we found that anisotropy of Bi-2201 is large. A manifestation of this anisotropy is the field independent magnetization M* observed at a temperature T*. In the framework of the London model, and including thermal fluctuations of vortices, we found for the temperature dependence of the penetration depth λab(T) = λab(0)[1 − (T/Tc0)n]−1/2, with n 1.7 and λab (T = 0) 4000 Å. The estimated upper critical fields μ0Hc2,c are of the order of 10 T. We observe a peculiar negative slope M/T at low temperature and sufficiently high external magnetic field. This feature seems to be a characteristic of the Bi-2201 phase. However, we do not know whether it is associated with the superconducting mixed-state. A small amount of magnetic impurities could also be responsible for this behavior. Finally, the behavior of the reversible magnetization of the Bi-2201 samples investigated, which are situated at the optimal and in the overdoped region, did not indicate any unusual temperature dependence for the upper critical field Hc2,c.  相似文献

利用密度泛函理论B3LYP方法,在6-311G*水平上对碱金属氮化物(K3N)n(n=1,…,5)团簇各种可能构型进行几何结构优化,预测各团簇的最稳定结构,并对其成键特性、电荷分布、振动特性及稳定性进行分析研究.结果表明,随着n的增大,(K3N)n(n=1,…,5)团簇的最稳定结构逐渐由平面结构向空间立体结构转变,(K3N)4、(K3N)5团簇为类似晶体的层状结构;团簇中N原子的配位数以5、6较多见;团簇中N原子的平均自然电荷为-1.608e,K原子的平均自然电荷为+0.550e,K-N键为较强的离子键;(K3N)4团簇有相对较高的动力学稳定性.  相似文献

We review the construction of the multiparametric quantum group ISOq,r(N) as a projection from SOq,r (N + 2) and show that it is a bicovariant bimodule over SOq,r(N). The universal enveloping algebra Uq,r(iso(N)), characterized as the Hopf algebra of regular functionals on ISOq,r(N), is found as a Hopf subalgebra of Uq,r(so(N + 2)) and is shown to be a bicovariant bimodule over Uq,r(so(N)).

An R-matrix formulation of Uq,r(iso(N)) is given and we prove the pairing Uq,r(iso(N)) — ISOq,r(N)). We analyze the subspaces of Uq,r(iso(N)) that define bicovariant differential calculi on ISOq,r(N).  相似文献

Topological edge states have crucial applications in the future nano spintronics devices. In this work, circularly polarized light is applied on the zigzag silicene-like nanoribbons resulting in the anisotropic chiral edge modes. An energy-dependent spin filter is designed based on the topological-insulator (TI) junctions with anisotropic chiral edge states. The resonance transmission has been observed in the TI junctions by calculating the local current distributions. And some strong Fabry−Perot resonances are found leading to the sharp transmission peaks. Whereas, the weak and asymmetric resonance corresponds to the broad transmission peaks. In addition, a qualitative relation between the resonant energy separation TR and group velocity vf is derived: TRhvfn/L, that indicated TR is proportional to vf and inversely proportional to the length L of the conductor. The different TR between the spin-up and spin-down cases results in the energy-resolved spin filtering effect. Moreover, the intensity of the circularly polarized light can modulate the group velocity vf. Thus, the intensity of circularly polarized light, as well as the conductor-length, play very vital roles in designing the energy-dependent spin filter. Since the transmission gap root in the Fabry−Perot resonances, the thermoelectric (TE) property can be enhanced by adjusting the gap. A schedule to enhance the TE performance in the TI-junction is proposed by modulating the electric field (Ez). The TE dependence on Ez in the nanojunction is investigated, where the appropriate Ez leads to a very high spin thermopower and spin figure of merit. These TI junctions have potential usages in the nano spintronics and thermoelectric devices.  相似文献

The quantum Euclidean spheres, SqN−1, are (noncommutative) homogeneous spaces of quantum orthogonal groups, SOq(N). The *-algebra A(SN−1q) of polynomial functions on each of these is given by generators and relations which can be expressed in terms of a self-adjoint, unipotent matrix. We explicitly construct complete sets of generators for the K-theory (by nontrivial self-adjoint idempotents and unitaries) and the K-homology (by nontrivial Fredholm modules) of the spheres SqN−1. We also construct the corresponding Chern characters in cyclic homology and cohomology and compute the pairing of K-theory with K-homology. On odd spheres (i.e., for N even) we exhibit unbounded Fredholm modules by means of a natural unbounded operator D which, while failing to have compact resolvent, has bounded commutators with all elements in the algebra A(SN−1q).  相似文献

The statistics of a long closed self-avoiding walk (SAW) or polymer ring on a d-dimensional lattice obeys hyperscaling. The combination pNR2Nd/2μN (where pN is the number of configurations of an oriented and rooted N-step ring, R2N a typical average size squared, and μ the SAW effective connectivity constant of the lattice) is equal for N å ∞ to a lattice-dependent constant times a universal amplitude A(d). The latter amplitude is calculated directly from the minimal continous Edwards model to second order in 4 − d. The case of rings at the upper critical dimension d = 4 is also studied. The results are checked against field-theoretical calculations, and former simulations. As a consequence, we show that the universal constant λ appearing to second order in in all critical phenomena amplitude ratios is equal to .  相似文献

A series of apatite-type La–Ge–O ceramics were prepared and their cation-defect at the 4f+6h sites and oxide ion-defect at 2a site were investigated. In LaxGe6O12+1.5x ceramics of x=6–12, the higher conductivities were obtained in the region of apatite composition, Lax(GeO4)6O1.5x−12 (x=8–9.33), and the highest conductivity was achieved for La9(GeO4)6O1.5 (x=9), where the number of cation (La3+) occupying the 4f+6h sites is 9 and the number of oxide ion occupying the 2a site is 1.5. The ceramics with cation- and oxide ion-defects were La9−0.66xSrx(GeO4)6O1.5 (x=0–1), La9−1.33xZrx(GeO4)6O1.5 (x=0–1), La9−xSrx(GeO4)6O1.5−0.5x (x=0–3), La9−xZrx(GeO4)6O1.5+0.5x (x=0–1), Lax(GeO4)3x−21(AsO4)27−3xO1.5 (x=0–3), Lax(GeO4)33−3x(AlO4)3x−27O1.5 (x=0–3), La9(GeO4)6−x (AlO4)xO1.5−0.5x (x=0–3), La9(GeO4)6−x(AsO4)xO1.5+0.5x (x=0–1), La9.33−xSrx(GeO4)6O2−0.5x (x=0–1.2) and Lax(GeO4)4.5(AlO4)1.5O1.5x−12.75 (x=8.8–9.83), which were prepared by the partial substitution of La3+and GeO44−of the basic apatite La9(GeO4)6O1.5 with Sr2+ or Zr4+ and AlO45− or AsO43−. Such substitutions lowered the conductivity of La9(GeO4)6O1.5. These results were discussed by the electrostatic interaction between Sr2+, Zr4+, AlO45− or AsO43− and oxide ion as a conductive species.  相似文献

基于密度泛函理论中的广义梯度近似系统研究Mn(SiO2)3(M=Fe,Co,Ni;n=1-3)团簇的几何结构、光电性质和磁学性质.结果表明:Fe,Co原子相对于Ni原子更易于在(SiO2)3团簇上聚集;通过分析团簇的分裂途径及其产物,发现稳定性较好的氧化硅是一种很好的用于负载过渡金属"岛膜"的载体材料;Mn(SiO2)3团簇的能隙恰好位于近红外光谱范围内.通过磁性分析发现,该复合团簇的磁矩主要局域在过渡金属原子周围,而且,Fe2(SiO2)3和Co3(SiO2)3具有相对较大的磁矩,这主要源于过渡金属原子的d轨道间相互耦合.能隙和磁性两方面性质进一步肯定了二氧化硅磁性复合材料在医学界被用作光动力靶向治疗的可观前景.  相似文献

Intensities have been measured for individual transitions in the Q and R branches of the ν1 band of NH3 using a difference-frequency laser spectrometer. The data yield an integrated band strength of S0v=219.36±1.03 cm-2/MPa at 297 K, corresponding to a transition moment of μv = 8.535(20) × 10-32 C·m, and a Herman-Wallis correction factor, (1 + jm)2, where j = 0.0209(20). The intensities of a few lines for K 7 were noticeably perturbed by a perpendicular Coriolis interaction with 2ν4 (E, L = 2), so were excluded from the fit. A small sample of ν3 band lines occurring in the ν1 band scans also yields a rough estimate of the ν3 band intensity with evident irregular perturbations.  相似文献
