Rokhlin (1963) showed that any aperiodic dynamical system with finite entropy admits a countable generating partition. Krieger (1970) showed that aperiodic ergodic systems with entropy < log a, admit a generating partition with no more than a sets. In Symbolic Dynamics terminology, these results can be phrased— ℕ is a universal system in the category of aperiodic systems, and [a] is a universal system for aperiodic ergodic systems with entropy < log a. Weiss ([We89], 1989) presented a Minimal system, on a Compact space (a subshift of ) which is universal for aperiodic systems. In this work we present a joint generalization of both results: given ɛ, there exists a minimal subshift of [a], universal for aperiodic ergodic systems with entropy < log a − ɛ.  相似文献

In this article, we introduce new topologies on the prime spectrum of a commutative ring by using the ?-limit of a sequence of prime ideals where ? is a nonprincipal ultrafilter on the natural numbers ?. These topologies are strictly finer than the Zariski's Topology, countably compact and Hausdorff. We construct 2𝔠 new topologies on Spec(??) which are pairwise non-homeomorphic.  相似文献

Abstract We give a generalization of the work presented in [6] where the asymptotic behaviour, as ε→0, of a monotone nonlinear problem in a bounded multidomain of RN depending on ε was addressed. We extend the previous results to the case where the nonlinear operator depends both on the slow and rapid variable and we prove that, due to the presence of the rapid variable, the algebraic equation contained in the limit problem obtained in [6] must be replaced by a partial differential equation with respect to the microscopic variable y′. We consider the embedding relation between the class W q H β ω , including only odd functions and a set of functions defined via the strong means of Fourier series of odd continuous functions. We establish an improvement of a recent theorem of Le and Zhou [Math. Inequal. Appl. 11(4) (2008) 749–756] which is a generalization of Tikhonov’s results [Anal. Math. 31 (2005) 183–194]. We also extend the Leindler theorem [Anal. Math. 31 (2005) 175–182] concerning sequences of Fourier coefficients.  相似文献

If κ is a cardinal number, then any class of mutually non-homeomorphic metric spaces of size κ must be a set whose cardinality cannot exceed 2 κ . Our main result is a vivid construction of 2 κ mutually non-homeomorphic complete and both path connected and locally path connected metric spaces of size κ for each cardinal number κ from continuum up. Additionally we also deal with counting problems concerning countable metric spaces and Euclidean spaces.  相似文献

LetI be a union of finitely many closed intervals in [−1, 0). LetI be a single interval of the form [−1, −a] chosen to have the same logarithmic length asI. LetD be the unit disc. Then, Beurling [8] has shown that the harmonic measure of the circle ∂D at the origin in the slit discD/I is increased ifI is replaced byI . We prove a number of cognate results and extensions. For instance, we show that Beurling's result remains true if the intervals inI are not just one-dimensional, but if they in fact constitute polar rectangles centred on the negative real axis and having some fixed constant angular width. In doing this, we obtain a new proof of Beurling's result. We also discuss a conjecture of Matheson and Pruss [25] and some other open problems. In this paper, we study sums of linear random fields defined on the lattice Z 2 with values in a Hilbert space. The rate of convergence of distributions of such sums to the Gaussian law is discussed, and mild sufficient conditions to obtain an approximation of order n −p are presented. This can be considered as a complement of a recent result of [A.N. Nazarova, Logarithmic velocity of convergence in CLT for stochastic linear processes and fields in a Hilbert space, Fundam. Prikl. Mat., 8:1091–1098, 2002 (in Russian)], where the logarithmic rate of convergence was stated, and as a generalization of the result of [D. Bosq, Erratum and complements to Berry–Esseen inequality for linear processes in Hilbert spaces, Stat. Probab. Lett., 70:171–174, 2004] for linear processes.  相似文献

We give necessary and sufficient conditions on class S of maps of a category C so that a good calculus of fractions is possible in C[S -1], and a geometric characterization of the communitative diagrams in the category of fractions. These conditions are also described simply in terms of Grothendiek topologies.We characterize the categories which arise in this manner by the fact that the functor C C[S -1] is uniformly flat and give some applications of this result.  相似文献

We consider a special space of set-valued functions (multifunctions), the space of densely continuous forms D(X, Y) between Hausdorff spaces X and Y, defined in [HAMMER, S. T.—McCOY, R. A.: Spaces of densely continuous forms, Set-Valued Anal. 5 (1997), 247–266] and investigated also in [HOLá, L’.: Spaces of densely continuous forms, USCO and minimal USCO maps, Set-Valued Anal. 11 (2003), 133–151]. We show some of its properties, completing the results from the papers [HOLY, D.—VADOVIČ, P.: Densely continuous forms, pointwise topology and cardinal functions, Czechoslovak Math. J. 58(133) (2008), 79–92] and [HOLY, D.—VADOVIČ, P.: Hausdorff graph topology, proximal graph topology and the uniform topology for densely continuous forms and minimal USCO maps, Acta Math. Hungar. 116 (2007), 133–144], in particular concerning the structure of the space of real-valued locally bounded densely continuous forms D p *(X) equipped with the topology of pointwise convergence in the product space of all nonempty-compact-valued multifunctions. The paper also contains a comparison of cardinal functions on D p *(X) and on real-valued continuous functions C p (X) and a generalization of a sufficient condition for the countable cellularity of D p *(X). In this note we prove that the game chromatic index χ g (G) of a graph G of arboricity k is at most Δ + 3k − 1. This improves a bound obtained by Cai and Zhu [J. In this paper we obtain and establish some important results in ordered Γ-semigroups extending and generalizing those for semigroups given in [PETRICH, M.: Introduction to Semigroups, Merill, Columbus, 1973] and for ordered semigroups from [KEHAYOPULU, N.: On weakly prime ideals of ordered semigroups, Math. Japon. 35 (1990), 1051–1056], [KEHAYOPULU, N.: On prime, weakly prime ideals in ordered semigroups, Semigroup Forum 44 (1992), 341–346] and [XIE, X. Y.—WU, M. F.: On quasi-prime, weakly quasi-prime left ideals in ordered semigroups, PU.M.A. 6 (1995), 105–120]. We introduce and give some characterizations about the quasi-prime and weakly quasi-prime left ideals of ordered-Γ-semigroups. We also introduce the concept of weakly m-systems in ordered Γ-semigroups and give some characterizations of the quasi-prime and weakly quasi-prime left ideals by weakly m-systems.  相似文献

Spaces of cone absolutely summing maps are generalizations of Bochner spaces L p (μ, Y), where (Ω, Σ, μ) is some measure space, 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞ and Y is a Banach space. The Hiai-Umegaki space $ \mathcal{L}^1 \left[ {\sum ,cbf(X)} \right] $ \mathcal{L}^1 \left[ {\sum ,cbf(X)} \right] of integrably bounded functions F: Ω → cbf(X), where the latter denotes the set of all convex bounded closed subsets of a separable Banach space X, is a set-valued analogue of L 1(μ, X). The aim of this work is to introduce set-valued cone absolutely summing maps as a generalization of $ \mathcal{L}^1 \left[ {\sum ,cbf(X)} \right] $ \mathcal{L}^1 \left[ {\sum ,cbf(X)} \right] , and to derive necessary and sufficient conditions for a set-valued map to be such a set-valued cone absolutely summing map. We also describe these set-valued cone absolutely summing maps as those that map order-Pettis integrable functions to integrably bounded set-valued functions.  相似文献

 Our main result states that for each finite complex L the category TOP of topological spaces possesses a model category structure (in the sense of Quillen) whose weak equivalences are precisely maps which induce isomorphisms of all [L]-homotopy groups. The concept of [L]-homotopy has earlier been introduced by the first author and is based on Dranishnikov’s notion of extension dimension. As a corollary we obtain an algebraic characterization of [L]-homotopy equivalences between [L]-complexes. This result extends two classical theorems of J. H. C. Whitehead. One of them – describing homotopy equivalences between CW-complexes as maps inducing isomorphisms of all homotopy groups – is obtained by letting L = {point}. The other – describing n-homotopy equivalences between at most (n+1)-dimensional CW-complexes as maps inducing isomorphisms of k-dimensional homotopy groups with k ⩽ n – by letting L = S n+1 , n ⩾ 0.  相似文献

Bounded commutative residuated lattice ordered monoids (Rℓ-monoids) are a common generalization of, e.g., Heyting algebras and BL-algebras, i.e., algebras of intuitionistic logic and basic fuzzy logic, respectively. Modal operators (special cases of closure operators) on Heyting algebras were studied in [MacNAB, D. S.: Modal operators on Heyting algebras, Algebra Universalis 12 (1981), 5–29] and on MV-algebras in [HARLENDEROVá,M.—RACHŮNEK, J.: Modal operators on MV-algebras, Math. Bohem. 131 (2006), 39–48]. In the paper we generalize the notion of a modal operator for general bounded commutative Rℓ-monoids and investigate their properties also for certain derived algebras. For a Tychonoff space X,we use ↓USC F(X) and ↓C F(X) to denote the families of the hypographs of all semi-continuous maps and of all continuous maps from X to I = [0,1] with the subspace topologies of the hyperspace Cld F(X × I) consisting of all non-empty closed sets in X × I endowed with the Fell topology.In this paper,we shall show that there exists a homeomorphism h:↓USC F(X) → Q = [1,1] ω such that h(↓CF(X))=c0 = {(xn)∈Q| lim n→∞ x n = 0} if and only if X is a locally compact separable metrizable space and the set of isolated points is not dense in X.  相似文献

We are interested in proving Monte-Carlo approximations for 2d Navier-Stokes equations with initial data u 0 belonging to the Lorentz space L 2,∞ and such that curl u 0 is a finite measure. Giga, Miyakawaand Osada [7] proved that a solution u exists and that u=K* curl u, where K is the Biot-Savartkernel and v = curl u is solution of a nonlinear equation in dimension one, called the vortex equation. In this paper, we approximate a solution v of this vortex equationby a stochastic interacting particlesystem and deduce a Monte-Carlo approximation for a solution of the Navier-Stokesequation. That gives in this case a pathwise proofof the vortex algorithm introducedby Chorin and consequently generalizes the works ofMarchioro-Pulvirenti [12] and Méléardv [15] obtained in the case of a vortex equation with bounded density initial data. Given a measure space < Ω,m,μ >, a locally bounded, Hausdorff topological linear space < X, τ > and a real number 0<p<1, one can define the space Lp(Ω,m,μ,X), which is, under certain assumptions, a Fréchet space if endowed with a suitable topology. M.M. Day [1] has given a necessary and sufficient condition, in terms of the properties of the measure space < Ω,m,μ >, for the dual of Lp(Ω,m,μ,C) to be trivial. In this paper a different proof along with a slight generalization is given for this result, using standard and elementary measure theoretic arguments.
