Generalized Differential Identities of （Semi-）Prime Rings

Let R be a semiprime ring with characteristic p≥0 and RF be its left Martindale quotient ring. If ф（Xi^△j） is a reduced generalized differential identity for an essential ideal of R, then ф（Zije（△j ）） is a generalized polynomial identity for RF, where e（△j） are idempotents in the extended centroid of R determined by △j. Let R be a prime ring and Q be its symmetric Martindale quotient ring. If ф（Xi△j） is a reduced generalized differential identity for a noncommutative Lie ideal of R, then ф（Zij） is a generalized polynomial identity for [R, R]. Moreover, if ф（Xi△j） is a reduced generalized differential identity, with coefficients in Q, for a large right ideal of R, then ф（Zij） is a generalized polynomial identity for Q.     

On（N,U）-Coherence of Modules and Rings

Let U be a flat right R-module and N an infinite cardinal number.A left R-module M is said to be (N,U)-coherent if every finitely generated submodule of every finitely generated M-projective module in σ[M] is (N,U)-finitely presented in σ[M].It is proved under some additional conditions that a left R-module M is (N,U)-coherent if and only if Л^Ni∈I U is M-flat as a right R-module if and only if the (N,U)-coherent dimension of M is equal to zero.We also give some characterizations of left (N,U)-coherent dimension of rings and show that the left N-coherent dimension of a ring R is the supremum of (N,U)-coherent dimensions of R for all flat right R-modules U.     

Neither G9（Q） nor G11（Q） Is a Subgroup of K2（Q）

It is proved that neither G9(Q) nor G11(Q) is a subgroup of K2(Q) which confirms two special cases of a conjecture proposed by Browkin, J. (Lecture Notes in Math., 966, Springer-Verlag, New York, Heidelberg, Berlin, 1982, 1-6).

The Quasi-Representation Theorem of the Conjugate Cone [Lβ（μ,X）]β^＊ （0 〈β 〈 1）

For 0 〈β 〈 1, the author once wrote a paper to deal with the representation problem of the conjugate cone [L^β[0, 1]β^＊ of complex β-nanach space L^β[0, 1]. In this paper, replacing [0, 1] with a Borel finite measure space （Ω,M,μ） and replacing the complex field C with a Banach space X, we study the representation problem of the conjugate cone [L^β（μ, X）]β^＊ of L^β（μ, X）, and obtain [L^β（μ, X）]β^＊≌L^∞ M^＋（μ, S）, called the Quasi-Representation Theorem of [L^β（μ, X）]β^＊.

The Jacobson Radical of an Endomorphism Ring for an Abelian Group

The Jacobson radical of an endomorphism ring is computed for a completely decomposable torsion-free Abelian group and for a mixed Abelian group in one class of mixed groups. For the latter case, we also look into the question when a factor ring w.r.t. the radical is regular in the sense of Nuemann.     

On the Jacobson Radical of Skew Polynomial Extensions of Rings Satisfying a Polynomial Identity

Let R be a ring satisfying a polynomial identity, and let D be a derivation of R. We consider the Jacobson radical of the skew polynomial ring R[x; D] with coefficients in R and with respect to D, and show that J(R[x; D]) ∩ R is a nil D-ideal. This extends a result of Ferrero, Kishimoto, and Motose, who proved this in the case when R is commutative.

Partial Skew Polynomial Rings and Jacobson Rings

In this article we consider rings R with a partial action α of an infinite cyclic group G on R. We generalize the well-known results about Jacobson rings and strongly Jacobson rings in skew polynomial rings and skew Laurent polynomial rings to partial skew polynomial rings and partial skew Laurent polynomial rings.

The Jacobson radical of group rings of locally finite groups

This paper is the final installment in a series of articles, started in 1974, which study the semiprimitivity problem for group algebras of locally finite groups. Here we achieve our goal of describing the Jacobson radical in terms of the radicals of the group algebras of the locally subnormal subgroups of . More precisely, we show that if and if , then the controller of is the characteristic subgroup generated by the locally subnormal subgroups of with . In particular, we verify a conjecture proposed some twenty years ago and, in so doing, we essentially solve one half of the group ring semiprimitivity problem for arbitrary groups. The remaining half is the more difficult case of finitely generated groups. This article is effectively divided into two parts. The first part, namely the material in Sections 2-6, covers the group theoretic aspects of the proof and may be of independent interest. The second part, namely the work in Sections 7-12, contains the group ring and ring theoretic arguments and proves the main result. As usual, it is necessary for us to work in the more general context of twisted group algebras and crossed products. Furthermore, the proof ultimately depends upon results which use the Classification of the Finite Simple Groups.

Finite rank operators in Jacobson radical \mathcal{R}_{\mathcal{N} \otimes \mathcal{M}}

In this paper we investigate finite rank operators in the Jacobson radical of Alg( ), where are nests. Based on the concrete characterizations of rank one operators in Alg( ) and , we obtain that each finite rank operator in can be written as a finite sum of rank one operators in and the weak closure of equals Alg( ) if and only if at least one of is continuous.
