On the structure of stationary sets

We isolate several classes of stationary sets of [k]ωand investigate implications among them. Under a large cardinal assumption, we prove a structure theorem for stationary sets.     

On the structure of Fatou domains

Let U be a multiply-connected fixed attracting Fatou domain of a rational map f.We prove that there exist a rational map g and a completely invariant Fatou domain V of g such that(f,U) and(g,V) are holomorphically conjugate,and each non-trivial Julia component of g is a quasi-circle which bounds an eventually superattracting Fatou domain of g containing at most one postcritical point of g.Moreover,g is unique up to a holomorphic conjugation.

Let A be an irreducible matrix with index of imprimitivity h is shown that there exists a permutation matrix P such that PAP^t is in a superdiagonal block form with k nonzero blocks if and only if k divides h It is also shown that a matrix in a superdiagonal block form without zero rows or columns is irreducible if and only if the product of the superdiagonal nonzero blocks is irreducible.     

The cohomology group of weak entwining structure

In this paper, we reveal that a weak entwining structure admits a rich cohomology theory. As an application we compute the cohomology of a weak entwining structure associated to a weak coalgebra-Galois extension.     

The structure of L*-inverse semigroups

The concepts of L*-inverse semigroups and left wreath products of semigroups are introduced. It is shown that the L*-inverse semigroup can be described as the left wreath product of a type A semigroupΓand a left regular band B together with a mapping which maps the semigroupΓinto the endomorphism semigroup End(B). This result generalizes the structure theorem of Yamada for the left inverse semigroups in the class of regular semigroups. We shall also provide a constructed example for the L*-inverse semigroups by using the left wreath products.

On the structure of co-Kähler manifolds

By the work of Li, a compact co-Kähler manifold $M$ is a mapping torus $K_\varphi $ , where $K$ is a Kähler manifold and $\varphi $ is a Hermitian isometry. We show here that there is always a finite cyclic cover $\overline{M}$ of the form $\overline{M} \cong K \times S^1$ , where $\cong $ is equivariant diffeomorphism with respect to an action of $S^1$ on $M$ and the action of $S^1$ on $K \times S^1$ by translation on the second factor. Furthermore, the covering transformations act diagonally on $S^1, K$ and are translations on the $S^1$ factor. In this way, we see that, up to a finite cover, all compact co-Kähler manifolds arise as the product of a Kähler manifold and a circle.     

The structure relation for Askey–Wilson polynomials

An explicit structure relation for Askey–Wilson polynomials is given. This involves a divided q-difference operator which is skew symmetric with respect to the Askey–Wilson inner product and which sends polynomials of degree n   to polynomials of degree n+1$n+1$. By specialization of parameters and by taking limits, similar structure relations, as well as lowering and raising relations, can be obtained for other families in the q-Askey scheme and the Askey scheme. This is explicitly discussed for Jacobi polynomials, continuous q-Jacobi polynomials, continuous q-ultraspherical polynomials, and for big q-Jacobi polynomials. An already known structure relation for this last family can be obtained from the new structure relation by using the three-term recurrence relation and the second order q-difference formula. The results are also put in the framework of a more general theory. Their relationship with earlier work by Zhedanov and Bangerezako is discussed. There is also a connection with the string equation in discrete matrix models and with the Sklyanin algebra.     

Differentiable structure of ω-subsets of symplectic groups

In this paper, we study the differentiable structure of the ω-subset of Sp(2n), which is formed by all matrices in Sp(2n) possessing ω as an eigenvalue, for ω on the unit circle in the complex plane. Based on this result the ω -index theory parametrized by all ω on the unit circle for arbitrary symplectic paths is defined.     

Hamiltonian structure of the Yang–Mills functional

Hamilton equations based upon a general Lepagean equivalent of the Yang–Mills Lagrangian are investigated. A regularization of the Yang–Mills Lagrangian which is singular with respect to the standard regularity conditions is derived.     

The structure of the Mitchell order—I

We isolate here a wide class of well-founded orders called tame orders, and show that each such order of cardinality at most κ can be realized as the Mitchell order on a measurable cardinal κ, from a consistency assumption weaker than o(κ) = κ⁺.

A local ring R is called Z-local if J(R) = Z(R) and J(R)2 = 0. In this paper the structure of a class of Z-local rings is determined.     

Cohomology structure for a Poisson algebra:Ⅱ

For a Poisson algebra, we prove that the Poisson cohomology theory introduced by Flato et al.(1995)is given by a certain derived functor. We show that the(generalized) deformation quantization is equivalent to the formal deformation for Poisson algebras under certain mild conditions. Finally we construct a long exact sequence, and use it to calculate the Poisson cohomology groups via the Yoneda-extension groups of certain quasi-Poisson modules and the Lie algebra cohomology groups.     

Finding market structure by sales count dynamics—Multivariate structural time series models with hierarchical structure for count data—

In this paper, we propose a multivariate time series model for sales count data. Based on the fact that setting an independent Poisson distribution to each brand’s sales produces the Poisson distribution for their total number, characterized as market sales, and then, conditional on market sales, the brand sales follow a multinomial distribution, we first extend this Poisson–multinomial modeling to a dynamic model in terms of a generalized linear model. We further extend the model to contain nesting hierarchical structures in order to apply it to find the market structure in the field of marketing. As an application using point of sales time series in a store, we compare several possible hypotheses on market structure and choose the most plausible structure by using several model selection criteria, including in-sample fit, out-of-sample forecasting errors, and information criterion.     

Characterization,structure and analysis on abelian ℒ∞ groups

An abelian topological group is an group if and only if it is a locally -compactk-space and every compact subset in it is contained in a compactly generated locally compact subgroup. Every abelian groupG is topologically isomorphic to G ₀ where ₀ andG ₀ is an abelian group where every compact subset is contained in a compact subgroup. Intrinsic definitions of measures, convolution of measures, measure algebra,L ₁-algebra, Fourier transforms of abelian groups are given and their properties are studied.

Gallai–Edmonds structure theorem for weighted matching polynomial

In this paper, we prove the Gallai–Edmonds structure theorem for weighted matching polynomials. Our result implies the Parter–Wiener theorem and its recent generalization about the existence of principal submatrices of a Hermitian matrix whose graph is a tree.
