In this paper, controlling chaos when chaotic ferroresonant oscillations occur in a voltage transformer with nonlinear core loss model is performed. The effect of a parallel metal oxide surge arrester on the ferroresonance oscillations of voltage transformers is studied. The metal oxide arrester(MOA) is found to be effective in reducing ferroresonance chaotic oscillations. Also the multiple scales method is used to analyze the chaotic behavior and different types of fixed points in ferroresonance of voltage transformers considering core loss. This phenomenon has nonlinear chaotic dynamics and includes sub-harmonic, quasi-periodic, and also chaotic oscillations. In this paper, the chaotic behavior and various ferroresonant oscillation modes of the voltage transformer is studied. This phenomenon consists of different types of bifurcations such as period doubling bifurcation(PDB), saddle node bifurcation(SNB), Hopf bifurcation(HB), and chaos. The dynamic analysis of ferroresonant circuit is based on bifurcation theory. The bifurcation and phase plane diagrams are illustrated using a continuous method and linear and nonlinear models of core loss. To analyze ferroresonance phenomenon, the Lyapunov exponents are calculated via the multiple scales method to obtain Feigenbaum numbers. The bifurcation diagrams illustrate the variation of the control parameter. Therefore, the chaos is created and increased in the system.  相似文献

A detailed study of a generic model exhibiting new type of mixed-mode oscillations is presented. Period doubling and various period adding sequences of bifurcations are observed. New type of a family of 1D (one-dimensional) return maps is found. The maps are discontinuous at three points and consist of four branches. They are not invertible. The model describes in a qualitative way mixed-mode oscillations with two types of small amplitude oscillations at local maxima and local minima of large amplitude oscillations, which have been observed recently in the Belousov-Zhabotinsky system. The chaotic behaviour exhibited by a typical ferroresonant circuit in a neutral grounding system is investigated in this paper. In most earlier ferroresonance studies the core loss of the power transformer was neglected or represented by a linear resistance. However, this is not always true. In this paper the core loss of the power transformer is modelled by a third order series in voltage and the magnetization characteristics of the transformer are modelled by an 11th order two-term polynomial. Extensive simulations are carried out to analyse the effect of nonlinear core loss on transformer ferroresonance. A detailed analysis of simulation results demonstrates that, with the nonlinear core loss model used, the onset of chaos appears at a larger source voltage and the transient duration is shorter.  相似文献

It is shown that the local field in metal spherical particles with a dielectric core in an external varying electric field has two maxima at two different frequencies. The second maximum becomes more important with an increment in the metal fraction. Due to the nonlinear dielectric function of the core, the composite of these inclusions may have two optically induced bistability domains at different frequencies. At rather high metal fraction, two bistability domains merge and form one entire bistability domain. The parameters of these domains are studied numerically. The paper focuses on the second bistability domain, which has not been discussed in the literature so far. This domain exists in a comparatively narrow frequency range and its onset fields are lower than those of the first bistability domain. The lowest bistability onset fields are obtained in the entire domain. This peculiarity of the optical induced bistability in the metal composite with small dielectric cores can be attractive for possible applications.  相似文献

The influence of noise on defect chaos due to breakup of spiral waves through Doppler and Eckhaus instabilities is investigated numerically with a modified Fitzhugh-Nagumo model. By numerical simulations we show that the noise can drastically enhance the creation and annihilation rates of topological defects. The noise-free probability distribution function for defects in this model is found not to fit with the previously reported squared-Poisson distribution. Under the influence of noise, the distributions are flattened, and can fit with the squared-Poisson or the modified-Poisson distribution. The defect lifetime and diffusive property of defects under the influence of noise are also checked in this model.  相似文献

To improve drug selectivity toward target cells, one interesting technique for drug delivery is to use nanostructured materials. Recent studies revealed that the fullerene-like nanoclusters can pass through cell walls and transport and release drugs in the target site. In this study, the reactivity, and electronic sensitivity of the Be12O12, Mg12O12, and Zn12O12 nanoclusters were investigated toward hydroxyurea (HU) anticancer drug using density functional theory calculations at gas phase and aqueous solution. Our results show that the electronic properties of Mg12O12 and Zn12O12 nanoclusters are significantly sensitive to the presence of HU and the nanoclusters may be a promising candidate for adsorption of this drug. The results show that all complexes are energetically favourable, especially in the aqueous phase. Also, our ultraviolet–visible results show that the electronic spectra of HU/(MO)12 complexes exhibit a blue shift toward lower wavelengths (higher energies). To go further and gain insight into the binding features of considered (MO)12 nanoclusters with HU drug, the Atoms in Molecules analysis was performed. Our results determine the electrostatic features of the HU/Mg12O12 and HU/Zn12O12 bonding. Consequently, the results demonstrated that the Mg12O12 and Zn12O12 nanoclusters could be used as potential carriers for the delivery of HU drug.  相似文献

为了能够快速有效地求解电大复杂腔体(微波混沌腔)的电磁耦合问题, 文中采用统计电磁学方法研究了该类腔体电磁散射的统计特征. 首先, 根据天线辐射理论, 利用电磁场的本征模展开式建立了腔体耦合输入阻抗表达式. 其次, 利用波动混沌理论和概率统计方法进一步推导出了微波混沌腔的随机耦合模型. 该方法简单并且可以直接推导出三维模型. 最后, 构建了一个三维Sinai微波混沌腔并进行数值仿真实验, 其仿真实验结果与随机耦合模型计算结果的统计特征基本一致. 重要的是, 该模型与复杂腔体的细节特征无关, 能够快速有效地预测微波混沌腔的敏感耦合问题. 关键词: 统计电磁学 微波混沌腔 输入阻抗 随机耦合模型  相似文献

To eliminate the difficulties that arise when particles of high spin (J 2) are treated in nonlinear spinor field theory, it is proposed to include terms with derivatives of the fundamental fields in the self-interaction Lagrangian of the subparticles. It is shown that with this generalization the four-fermion model of nonlinear spinor theory describes the gravitational interaction of subparticles in the approximation of single-graviton exchange. Localized excitations in the form of solitary waves of the Klein-Gordon-equation with cubic nonlinearity in one space and time dimension are studied and the observable physical quantities are investigated with respect to their dependence on the coupling constant. A complete and consistent calculation is possible by imposing an U(1)-symmetry, i.e. using complex fields. The theory of a boundary layer near the periodically oscillating free surface of a spherical viscous liquid layer over a solid core (bottom) is modified. Two boundary layers are considered to adequately describe a liquid viscous flow in the system: one at the free surface of the liquid and the other at the solid bottom. The thicknesses of the boundary layers are estimated, which provide any given discrepancy between an exact solution to the model problem and a solution obtained in the small viscosity approximation. Taking into account the boundary layer near the solid bottom is shown to be significant only for lower oscillation modes. For higher modes, the flow near the core can be considered potential. In the case of lower modes and shallow liquid, the surface and bottom boundary layers overlap and an eddy flow occupies the entire volume of the liquid.  相似文献

In this Letter the results of theoretical investigations of the chaotic microwave oscillator based on the electron beam with a virtual cathode are presented. Nonlinear non-stationary processes in these electron systems are studied by means of numerical analysis of 2.5D model. It was discovered that the non-uniform external magnetic field value controls the dynamical regime of oscillations in the virtual cathode oscillator. The processes of the chaotization of output microwave radiation are described and interpreted from the point of view of the formation and interaction of electron structures (bunches) in the electron beams. The numerical results have shown that the investigated electron system with virtual cathode could be considered as a promising controlled source of wideband chaotic oscillations in the microwave range.  相似文献

We rewrite the O(3) nonlinear sigma model in 2 + 1 dimensions in terms of SU(2) matrices, thereby solving the constraint. The lagrangian has the symmetry SU(2)Global×U(1)Local. Static soliton solutions to this lagrangian have energy 4πN as usual. A new approach has been developed for studying transport processes in a chaotic porous medium filled with an electrolyte solution or a gaseous phase. A system of equations for diffusive transport of a component of the solution is formulated taking account of interphase processes at the pore walls. This study focuses on the nonlinear steady-state response of a belt-drive system with a one-way clutch. A dynamic model is established to describe the rotations of the driving pulley, the driven pulley, and the accessory shaft. Moreover, the model considers the transverse vibration of the translating belt spans for the first time in belt-drive systems coupled with a one-way clutch. The excitation of the belt-drive system is derived from periodic fluctuation of the driving pulley. In automotive systems, this kind of fluctuation is induced by the engine firing harmonic pulsations. The derived coupled discrete–continuous nonlinear equations consist of integro-partial-differential equations and piece-wise ordinary differential equations. Using the Galerkin truncation, a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations is obtained from the integro-partial-differential equations. Applying the Runge–Kutta time discretization, the time histories of the dynamic response are numerically solved for the driven pulley and the accessory shaft and the translating belt spans. The resonance areas of the coupled belt-drive system are determined using the frequency sweep. The effects of the one-way clutch on the belt-drive system are studied by comparing the frequency–response curves of the translating belt with and without one-way clutch device. Furthermore, the results of 2-term and 4-term Galerkin truncation are compared to determine the numerical convergence. Moreover, parametric studies are conducted to understand the effects of the system parameters on the nonlinear steady-state response. It is concluded that one-way clutch not only decreases the resonance amplitude of the driven pulley and shaft's rotational vibration, but also reduces the resonance region of the belt's transverse vibration.  相似文献

The effect of spin-polarized current on the steady-state magnetization and oscillations of antiferromagnet magnetization in a ferromagnetic-antiferromagnetic magnetic junction is analyzed. The macrospin approximation is generalized to describe antiferromagnets. The canted configuration of the antiferromagnet and the resultant magnetic moment are produced by the application of an external magnetic field. The resonance frequency, damping, and threshold current density corresponding to the emergence of instability are calculated. The possibility of generating weakly damped magnetization oscillations in the terahertz range is demonstrated. The effect of fluctuations on the canted configuration of the antiferromagnet is discussed.  相似文献
