The noncovalent interactions between 4′, 6‐diamidino‐2‐phenylindole (DAPI) and sulfobutylether β‐cyclodextrin (SBE7β‐CD) are evaluated by using photochemical measurements and compared with that of native β‐CD. Contrasting recognition behavior and intriguing modulations in the photochemical behavior of DAPI were observed. In particular, a large enhancement in the fluorescence emission and excited‐state lifetime were seen upon binding to SBE7β‐CD, with the SBE7β‐CD inclusion complex being approximately 1000 times stronger than that of β‐CD. The ensuing fluorescence “turn on” was demonstrated to be responsive to chemical stimuli, such as metal ions and adamantylanmine (AD). Upon addition of Ca2+/AD, nearly quantitative dissociation of the complex was established to regenerate the free dye and result in fluorescence “turn off”. The SO3? groups are believed to be critical for the strong and selective binding of the chromophore and the stimuli‐responsive tuning. This is as an important design criterion for the optimization of host–guest properties through supramolecular association, which is relevant for drug‐delivery applications.  相似文献

Two inclusion complexes of β‐cyclodextrin‐7‐hydroxycoumarin ( 1 ) and β‐cyclodextrin‐4‐hydroxycoumarin ( 2 ) were prepared and their crystal structures were investigated by single crystal X‐ray crystallography under cryogenic condition. Both structures consist of stacks of face‐to‐face cyclodextrin dimers arranged in brickwork‐like pattern along the crystallographic a‐axis. For complex 1 , each of the two dimeric β‐cyclodextrins includes one 7‐hydroxycoumarin molecule that penetrates deeply into the cyclodextrin dimer and locates its lactonering at the center of the dimer cavity. For complex 2 , each cyclodextrin dimer accommodates three 4‐hydroxycoumarin molecules. One of them is sandwiched between two units of the cyclodextrin dimer, the other two are shallowly included in the cavities of the dimeric cyclodextrins respectively and protrude their lactone rings from the primary end of the cyclodextrin. The substituent effects of guest molecules on inclusion geometry of various coumarin molecules in β‐cyclodextrin were examined.  相似文献

The intramolecular oxidation of ROCH3 to ROCH2OH, where the latter compound spontaneously decomposed to ROH and HCHO, was observed during the reaction of the supramolecular complex (met‐hemoCD3) with cumene hydroperoxide in aqueous solution. Met‐hemoCD3 is composed of meso‐tetrakis(4‐sulfonatophenyl)porphinatoiron(III) (FeIIITPPS) and a per‐O‐methylated β‐cyclodextrin dimer having an ‐OCH2PyCH2O‐ linker (Py=pyridine‐3,5‐diyl). The O=FeIVTPPS complex was formed by the reaction of met‐hemoCD3 with cumene hydroperoxide, and isolated by gel‐filtration chromatography. Although the isolated O=FeIVTPPS complex in the cyclodextrin cage was stable in aqueous solution at 25 °C, it was gradually converted to FeIITPPS (t1/2=7.6 h). This conversion was accompanied by oxidative O‐demethylation of an OCH3 group in the cyclodextrin dimer. The results indicated that hydrogen abstraction by O=FeIVTPPS from ROCH3 yields HO‐FeIIITPPS and ROCH2.. This was followed by radical coupling to afford FeIITPPS and ROCH2OH. The hemiacetal (ROCH2OH) immediately decomposed to ROH and HCHO. This study revealed the ability of oxoferryl porphyrin to induce two‐electron oxidation.  相似文献

A cyclodextrin‐peptide hybrid (CD‐peptide) bearing three units of γ‐cyclodextrin, cholic acid, and a dansyl fluorophore in the side chain has been prepared. In this novel CD‐peptide, the cholic acid unit acts as an internal guest and forms an intramolecular inclusion complex with γ‐cyclodextrin in the CD‐peptide. This intramolecular complex works as a host‐guest bridge in the CD‐peptide and remarkably stabilizes the α‐helix structure of the CD‐peptide.  相似文献

Three newly synthesized chiral selectors, namely, 2IO‐, 3IO‐, and 6IO‐carboxymethyl‐γ‐cyclodextrin, native γ‐cyclodextrin, and commercially available carboxymethylated γ‐cyclodextrin with degree of substitution of 3–6 were used as additives in a background electrolyte composed of phosphate buffer at 20 mmol/L concentration and pH 2.5. This system was used for the analysis of several biologically significant low‐molecular‐mass chiral compounds by capillary electrophoresis. The results confirmed that the position of carboxymethyl group influences the enantioseparation efficiency of all the studied analytes. The 2IO‐ and 3IO‐ regioisomers provide a significantly better resolution than native γ‐cyclodextrin, while the 6IO‐regioisomer gives only a slightly better enantioseparation than native γ‐cyclodextrin. The application of γ‐cyclodextrin possessing higher number of carboxymethyl groups led to the best resolution for the majority of the compounds analyzed.  相似文献

The solvation and confinement of coumarin C153 within supramolecular host/guest complexes based on β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD) and 6‐deoxy‐6‐thio‐β‐cyclodextrin (β‐CD‐SH) in water are studied by fluorescence spectroscopy. For β‐CD/C153, the 1:1 complex is proposed, and for β‐CD‐SH/C153 both the 1:1 and 2:1 complexes are believed to be formed. The 2:1 β‐CD‐SH/C153 complex has an association constant of 4.2×105 M ?1 and a C153 population of 82 %, which are interestingly high values, indicating that the proposed β‐CD‐SH dimers structure are connected by covalent disulfide bonds; this is supported by mass spectrometry. Solvation related to fast hydrogen‐bond rearrangement as a part of fluorescence relaxation is determined by the ultrafast components of time‐resolved spectroscopy to be 3 and 7 ps for the 1:1 β‐CD/C153 and 2:1 β‐CD‐SH/C153 complexes, respectively.  相似文献

A novel β‐cyclodextrin dimer, 2, 2′‐o‐phenylenediseleno‐bridged bis (β‐cyclodextrin) (2), has been synthesized by reaction of mono‐[2‐O‐(p‐tolylsulfonyl)]‐β‐cyclodextrin and poly(o‐phenylenediselenide). The complexation stability constants (K2) and Gibbs free energy changes (‐ΔG°) of dimer 2 with four fluorescence dyes, that is, ammonium 8‐anilino‐1‐naphthalenesulfonate (ANS), sodium 6‐(p‐toluidino)‐2‐naphthalenesulfonate (TNS), Acridine Red (AR) and Rhodamine B (RhB) have been determined in aqueous phosphate buffer solution (pH = 7.2, 0.1 mol‐L?1) at 25 °C by means of fluorescence spectroscopy. Using the present results and the previously reported corresponding data of β‐cyclodextrin (1) and 6, 6′‐o‐phenylenediseleno‐bridged bis (β‐cyclodextrin) (3), binding ability and molecular selectivity are compared, indicating that the bis (β‐cyclodextrin)s 2 and 3 possess much higher binding ability toward these dye molecules than parent β‐cyclodextrin 1, but the complex stability constant for 2 linked from the primary side is larger than that of 3 linked from the secondary side, which is attributed to the more effective cooperative binding of two hydrophobic cavities of host 3 and the size/shape‐fit relationship between host and guest. The binding constant (K2,) upon inclusion complexation of host 3 and AR is enhanced by factor of 27.3 as compared with that of 1. The 2D 1H NOESY spectrum of host 2 and RhB is performed to confirm the binding mode and explain the relative weak binding ability of 2.  相似文献

Host–guest interactions between α‐, β‐ and γ‐cyclodextrins and vanadocene dichloride (Cp2VCl2) have been investigated by a combination of thermogravimetric analysis, differential scanning calorimetry, powder X‐ray diffraction and solid‐state and solution electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. The solid‐state results demonstrated that only β‐ and γ‐cyclodextrins form 1:1 inclusion complexes, while α‐cyclodextrin does not form an inclusion complex with Cp2VCl2. The β‐ and γ‐CD–Cp2VCl2 inclusion complexes exhibited anisotropic electron‐51V (I = 7/2) hyperfine coupling constants whereas the α‐CD–Cp2VCl2 system showed only an asymmetric peak with no anisotropic hyperfine constant. On the other hand, solution EPR spectroscopy showed that α‐cyclodextrin (α‐CD) may be involved in weak host–guest interactions in equilibrium with free vanadocene species. Enantiomers of Tröger's base were separated by capillary electrophoresis using 2IO‐, 3IO‐, and 6IO‐carboxymethyl‐α‐, β‐, and γ‐cyclodextrin and native α‐, β‐, and γ‐cyclodextrin as chiral additives at 0–12 mmol/L for β‐cyclodextrin and its derivatives and 0–50 mmol/L for α‐ and γ‐cyclodextrins and their derivatives in a background electrolyte composed of sodium phosphate buffer at 20 mmol/L concentration and pH 2.5. Apparent stability constants of all cyclodextrin–Tröger's base complexes were calculated based on capillary electrophoresis data. The obtained results showed that the position of the carboxymethyl group as well as the cavity size of the individual cyclodextrin significantly influences the apparent stability constants of cyclodextrin–Tröger's base complexes.  相似文献

The inclusion of volatile organic compounds of various classes in the permethylated β‐cyclodextrin in an oligomeric solution of polyethylene glycol was investigated by inverse gas–liquid chromatography methods and by a stereochemical approach. It was established that the “guest–host” complexation process is influenced by the geometrical structure of the guest molecules, their chirality, and entropy factors.  相似文献

The bis(diphenylphosphino)methane (dppm)‐bridged dinuclear cycloplatinated complex {[Pt(L)]2(μ‐dppm)}2+ (Pt2 ? dppm; HL: 2‐phenyl‐6‐(1H‐pyrazol‐3‐yl)‐pyridine) demonstrates interesting reversible “pivot‐hinge”‐like intramolecular motions in response to the protonation/deprotonation of L. In its protonated “closed” configuration, the two platinum(II) centers are held in position by intramolecular d8–d8 Pt–Pt interaction. In its deprotonated “open” configuration, such Pt–Pt interaction is cleaved. To further understand the mechanism behind this hingelike motion, an analogous dinuclear cycloplatinated complex, {[Pt(L)]2(μ‐dchpm)}2+ (Pt2 ? dchpm) with bis(dicyclohexylphosphino)methane (dchpm) as the bridging ligand, was synthesized. From its protonation/deprotonation responses, it was revealed that aromatic π–π interactions between the phenyl moieties of the μ‐dppm and the deprotonated pyrazolyl rings of L was essential to the reversible cleavage of the intramolecular Pt–Pt interaction in Pt2 ? dppm. In the case of Pt2 ? dchpm, spectroscopic and spectrofluorometric titrations as well as X‐ray crystallography indicated that the distance between the two platinum(II) centers shrank upon deprotonation, thus causing a redshift in its room‐temperature triplet metal–metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer emission from 614 to 625 nm. Ab initio calculations revealed the presence of intramolecular hydrogen bonding between the deprotonated and negatively charged 1‐pyrazolyl‐N moiety and the methylene CH and phenyl C–H of the μ‐dppm. The “open” configuration of the deprotonated Pt2 ? dppm was estimated to be 19 kcal mol?1 more stable than its alternative “closed” configuration. On the other hand, the open configuration of the deprotonated Pt2 ? dchpm was 6 kcal mol?1 less stable than its alternative closed configuration.  相似文献

This work documents the influence of the position of single carboxymethyl group on the β‐cyclodextrin skeleton on the enantioselectivity. These synthesized monosubstituted carboxymethyl cyclodextrin (CD) derivatives, native β‐cyclodextrin, and commercially available carboxymethyl‐β‐cyclodextrin with degree of substitution approximately 3 were used as additives into the BGE consisting of phosphate buffer at 20 mmol/L concentration, pH 2.5, and several biologically significant low‐molecular‐mass chiral compounds were enantioseparated by CE. The results indicate that different substituent location on β‐cyclodextrin skeleton has a significant influence on the enantioseparation of the investigated enantiomers. The enantioselectivity of 2IO‐regioisomer was better than with native β‐cyclodextrin. Comparable results to native β‐cyclodextrin were obtained for 6IO‐ regioisomer and the enantioselectivity of 3IO‐regioisomer was even worse than with native β‐cyclodextrin. Commercially available derivative of CD provides better resolutions than the monosubstituted carboxymethyl CD derivatives for most of the investigated analytes.  相似文献

Molecular recognition continues to be an area of keen interest for supramolecular chemists. The investigated [M( L )2]2+ metallo‐ligands (M=PdII, PtII, L =2‐(1‐(pyridine‐4‐methyl)‐1 H‐1,2,3‐triazol‐4‐yl)pyridine) form a planar cationic panel with vacant pyridyl binding sites. They interact with planar neutral aromatic guests through π–π and/or metallophilic interactions. In some cases, the metallo‐ligands also interacted in the solid state with AgI either through coordination to the pendant pyridyl arms, or through metal–metal interactions, forming coordination polymers. We have therefore developed a system that reliably recognises a planar electron‐rich guest in solution and in the solid state, and shows the potential to link the resultant host–guest adducts into extended solid‐state structures. The facile synthesis and ready functionalisation of 2‐pyridyl‐1,2,3‐triazole ligands through copper(I)‐catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) “click” chemistry should allow for ready tuning of the electronic properties of adducts formed from these systems.  相似文献

Herein, we report the redox reactivity of a multimetallic uranium complex supported by triphenylsiloxide (−OSiPh3) ligands, where we show that low valent synthons can be stabilized via an unprecedented mechanism involving intramolecular ligand migration. The two- and three-electron reduction of the oxo-bridged diuranium(IV) complex [{(Ph3SiO)3(DME)U}2(μ-O)], 4 , yields the formal “UII/UIV”, 5 , and “UI/UIV”, 6 , complexes via ligand migration and formation of uranium-arene δ-bond interactions. Remarkably, complex 5 effects the two-electron reductive coupling of pyridine affording complex 7 , which demonstrates that the electron-transfer is accompanied by ligand migration, restoring the original ligand arrangement found in 4 . This work provides a new method for controlling the redox reactivity in molecular complexes of unstable, low-valent metal centers, and can lead to the further development of f-elements redox reactivity.  相似文献

As the host possessing the largest cavity in the cucurbit[n]uril (CB[n]) family, CB[10] has previously displayed unusual recognition and assembly properties with guests but much remains to be explored. Herein, we present the recognition properties of CB[10] toward a series of bipyridinium guests including the tetracationic cyclophane known as blue box along with electron‐rich guests and detail the influence of encapsulation on the charge‐transfer interactions between guests. For the mono‐bipyridinium guest (methylviologen, MV 2+), CB[10] not only forms 1:1 and 1:2 inclusion complexes, but also enhances the charge‐transfer interactions between methylviologen and dihydroxynaphthalene ( HN ) by mainly forming the 1:2:1 packed “sandwich” complex (CB[10] ? 2 MV 2+ ?HN ). For guest 1 with two bipyridinium units, an interesting conformational switching from linear to “U” shape is observed by adding catechol to the solution of CB[10] and the guest. For the tetracationic cyclophane‐blue box, CB[10] forms a stable 1:1 inclusion complex; the two bipyridinium units tilt inside the cavity of CB[10] according to the X‐ray crystal structure. Finally, a supramolecular “Russian doll” was built up by threading a guest through the cavities of both blue box and CB[10].  相似文献

Methylated β‐cyclodextrin (Me‐β‐CD) was used to complex a free‐radical photoinitiator, 2‐hydroxy‐2‐methyl‐1‐phenylpropan‐1‐one ( 1 ), yielding the water‐soluble 1 : 1 host/guest complex 1 a . The structure of complex 1 a was verified by means of IR, UV/vis and 1H NMR spectroscopy. The influence of Me‐β‐CD as the host on the photopolymerization kinetics of N‐isopropylacrylamide was studied. Compared to the photopolymerization carried out under nearly identical conditions but without cyclodextrin, an increase in the polymerization rate was registered in the presence of complex 1 a .  相似文献

A family of artificial nucleosides has been developed by applying the CuI‐catalyzed Huisgen 1,3‐dipolar cycloaddition. Starting from 2‐deoxy‐β‐D ‐glycosyl azide as a common precursor, three bidentate nucleosides have been synthesized. The 1,2,3‐triazole involved in all three nucleobases is complemented by 1,2,4‐triazole ( TriTri ), pyrazole ( TriPyr ), or pyridine ( TriPy ). Molecular structures of two metal complexes indicate that metal‐mediated base pairs of TriPyr may not be fully planar. An investigation of DNA oligonucleotide duplexes comprising the new “click” nucleosides showed that they can bind AgI to form metal‐mediated base pairs. In particular the mispair formed from TriPy and the previously established imidazole nucleoside is significantly stabilized in the presence of AgI. A comparison of different oligonucleotide sequences allowed the determination of general factors involved in the stabilization of nucleic acids duplexes with metal‐mediated base pairs.  相似文献
