Metal complexes of dmit and related ligands, such as dmio, have been studied extensively over the last few decades: [dmit](2-) = bis(1,3-dithiole-2-thione-4,5-dithiolato); [dmio](2-) = bis(1,3-dithiole-2-one-4,5-dithiolato). While much effort has been placed on determining structural properties, very few vigorous spectroscopic studies of these metal complexes have been undertaken. The spectroscopic features of the infrared, Raman and UV-vis spectra, previously reported, have largely been used to characterize compounds. In particular, many details of the electronic structure are still to be revealed. We now report a detailed analysis of the UV-vis spectra of the [M(dmit)](-1) and [M(dmio)](-1) anions, where M = Sb(III) or Bi(III). Experimental spectra were deconvoluted and analysed by several theoretical methodologies, including ab initio CI, TD and CISD calculations. The results led to the assignments of several MLCT/LMCT bands, occurring between 390 and 300 nm, and the confirmation of metal orbital contributions to the HOMO-LUMO boundary.  相似文献

As shown previously by X-ray structure determinations, [tris(1,3-dithiole-2-thione-4,5-dithiolato)stannate(IV)](2-) salts, [Q](2)[Sn(dmit)(3)], contain isolated cations and dianions. While the tin centres generally having octahedral geometries, the overall shapes of the dianions of these complexes in the solid state can differ with conformations varying from T, Y to asymmetrical arrangements. We now report, as a follow up to our earlier study on the Y-shaped complex, [NEt(4)](2)[Sn(dmit)(3)], an experimental and theoretical study of the vibrational spectra of solid solvated {[AsPh(4)](2)[Sn(dmit)(3)] x Me(2)CO}, in which the dianion has a T-shaped conformation. The infrared and Raman spectra, recorded from 4000 to 150 cm(-1), have been analysed by different ab initio calculations based on restricted Hartree-Fock (RHF) and density functional theory (DFT-Beck3LYP). The calculations were carried out on isolated dianions and cations with the 6-31G and 6-31G(d) basis sets and effective core potentials of Steven, Bash and Krauss (SBK). Fundamentals, overtones and combinations have been assigned. Generally, the Y- and T-shaped dianions exhibit similar infrared/Raman spectra, apart from differences in the C=C and the symmetrical M-S stretching frequencies: such differences can be used diagnostically to distinguish the overall shape of the tris(chelated)metallate dianion.  相似文献

We present studies of the resonance Raman and electronic luminescence spectra of the [Au(2)(dmpm)(3)](ClO(4))(2) (dmpm = bis(dimethylphosphine)methane) complex, including excitation into an intense band at 256 nm and into a weaker absorption system centered about approximately 300 nm. The resonance Raman spectra confirm the assignment of the 256 nm absorption band to a (1)(dsigma --> psigma) transition, a metal-metal-localized transition, in that nu(Au-Au) and overtones of it are strongly enhanced. A resonance Raman intensity analysis of the spectra associated with the 256 nm absorption band gives the ground-state and excited-state nu(Au-Au) stretching frequencies to be 79 and 165 cm(-1), respectively, and the excited-state Au-Au distance is calculated to decrease by about 0.1 A from the ground-state value of 3.05 A. The approximately 300 nm absorption displays a different enhancement pattern, in that resonance-enhanced Raman bands are observed at 103 and 183 cm(-1) in addition to nu(Au-Au) at 79 cm(-1) The compound exhibits intense, long-lived luminescence (in room-temperature CH(3)CN, for example, tau = 0.70 micros, phi(emission) = 0.037) with a maximum at 550-600 nm that is not very medium-sensitive. We conclude, in agreement with an earlier proposal of Mason (Inorg. Chem. 1989, 28, 4366-4369), that the lowest-energy, luminescent excited state is not (3)(dsigma --> psigma) but instead derives from (3)(d(x2-y2,xy --> psigma) excitations. We compare the Au(I)-Au(I) interaction shown in the various transitions of the [Au(2)(dmpm)(3)](ClO(4))(2) tribridged compound with previous results for solvent or counterion exciplexes of [Au(2)(dcpm)(2)](2+) salts (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 1999, 121, 4799-4803; Angew. Chem. 1999, 38, 2783-2785; Chem. Eur. J. 2001, 7, 4656-4664) and for planar, mononuclear Au(I) triphosphine complexes. It is proposed that the luminescent state in all of these cases is very similar in electronic nature.  相似文献

The thermally unstable compound [Hg[P(C(6)F(5))(2)](2)] was obtained from the reaction of mercury cyanide and bis(pentafluorophenyl)phosphane in DMF solution and characterized by multinuclear NMR spectroscopy. The thermally stable trinuclear compounds [Hg[(mu-P(CF(3))(2))W(CO)(5)](2)] and [Hg[(mu-P(C(6)F(5))(2))W(CO)(5)](2)] are isolated and completely characterized. The higher order NMR spectra exhibiting multinuclear satellite systems have been sufficiently analyzed. [Hg[(mu-P(CF(3))(2))W(CO)(5)](2)].2DMF crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with a = 2366.2(3) pm, b = 1046.9(1) pm, c = 104.0(1) pm, and beta = 104.01(1) degrees. Structural, NMR spectroscopic, and vibrational data prove a weak coordination of the two DMF molecules. Structural, vibrational, and NMR spectroscopic evidence is given for a successive weakening of the pi back-bonding effect of the W-P bond in the order [W(CO)(5)PH(R(f))(2)], [Hg[(mu-P(R(f))(2))W(CO)(5)](2)], and [W[P(R(f))(2)](CO)(5)](-) with R(f) = C(6)F(5) and CF(3). The pi back-bonding effect of the W-C bonds increases vice versa.  相似文献

The solvation structure of the lithium ion in room-temperature ionic liquids 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide (EMI(+)TFSI(-)) and N-butyl-N-methylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide (BMP(+0TFSI(-)) has been studied by Raman spectroscopy and DFT calculations. Raman spectra of EMI(+)TFSI(-) and BMP(+)TFSI(-) containing Li(+)TFSI(-) over the range 0.144-0.589 and 0.076-0.633 mol dm(-3), respectively, were measured at 298 K. A strong 744 cm-1 band of the free TFSI(-) ion in the bulk weakens with increasing concentration of the lithium ion, and it revealed by analyzing the intensity decrease that the two TFSI(-) ions bind to the metal ion. The lithium ion may be four-coordinated through the O atoms of two bidentate TFSI(-) ions. It has been established in our previous work that the TFSI(-) ion involves two conformers of C(1) (cis) and C(2) (trans) symmetries in equilibrium, and the dipole moment of the C(1) conformer is significantly larger than that of the C(2) conformer. On the basis of these facts, the geometries and SCF energies of possible solvate ion clusters [Li(C(1)-TFSI(-))(2)](-), [Li(C(1)-TFSI(-))(C(2)-TFSI(-))](-), and [Li(C(2)-TFSI(-))(2)](-) were examined using the theoretical DFT calculations. It is concluded that the C(1) conformer is more preferred to the C(2) conformer in the vicinity of the lithium ion.  相似文献

NO[Al(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(4)] 1 and NO[Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)] 2 were obtained by the metathesis reaction of NO[SbF(6)] and the corresponding Li[Al(OR)(4)] salts in liquid sulfur dioxide solution in ca 40% (1) and 85% (2) isolated yield. 1 and 2, as well as Li[NO(3)] and N(2)O, were also given by the reaction of an excess of mixture of (90 mol%) NO, (10 mol%) NO(2) with Li[Al(OR)(4)] followed by extraction with SO(2). The unfavourable disproportionation reaction of 2NO(2)(g) to [NO](+)(g) and [NO(3)](-)(g)[DeltaH degrees = +616.2 kJ mol(-1)] is more than compensated by the disproportionation energy of 3NO(g) to N(2)O(g) and NO(2)(g)[DeltaH degrees =-155.4 kJ mol(-1)] and the lattice energy of Li[NO(3)](s)[U(POT)= 862 kJ mol(-1)]. Evidence is presented that the reaction proceeds via a complex of [Li](+) with NO, NO(2)(or their dimers) and N(2)O. NO(2) and Li[Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)] gave [NO(3)(NO)(3)][Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)](2), NO[Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)] and (NO(2))[Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)] products. The aluminium complex [Li[AlF(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(3)]](2) 3 was prepared by the thermal decomposition of Li[Al(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(4)]. Compounds 1 and 3 were characterized by single crystal X-ray structural analyses, 1-3 by elemental analyses, NMR, IR, Raman and mass spectra. Solid 1 contains [Al(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(4)](-) and [NO](+) weakly linked via donor acceptor interactions, while in the SO(2) solution there is an equilibrium between the associated [NO](+)[Al(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(4)](-) and separated solvated ions. Solid 2 contains essentially ionic [NO](+) and [Al(OC(CF(3))(3))(4)](-). Complex 3 consists of two [Li[AlF(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(3)]] units linked via fluorine lithium contacts. Compound 1 is unstable in the SO(2) solution and decomposes to yield [AlF(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(3)](-), [(PhC(CF(3))(2)O)(3)Al(mu-F)Al(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(3)](-) anions as well as (NO)C(6)H(4)C(CF(3))(2)OH, while compound 2 is stable in liquid SO(2). The [small nu](NO(+)) in 1 and [NO](+)(toluene)[SbCl(6)] are similar, implying similar basicities of [Al(OC(CF(3))(2)Ph)(4)](-) and toluene.  相似文献

Raman and FTIR spectra of [Cu(H2O)6](BrO3)2 and [Al(H2O)6](BrO3)3 x 3H2O are recorded and analyzed. The observed bands are assigned on the basis of BrO3- and H2O vibrations. Additional bands obtained in the region of v3 and v1 modes in [Cu(H2O)6](BrO3)2 are due to the lifting of degeneracy of v3 modes, since the BrO3- ion occupies a site of lower symmetry. The appearance v1 mode of BrO3- anion at a lower wavenumber (771 cm(-1)) is attributed to the attachment of hydrogen to the BrO3- anion. The presence of three inequivalent bromate groups in the [Al(H2O)6](BrO3)3 x 3H2O structure is confirmed. The lifting of degeneracy of v4 mode indicates that the symmetry of BrO3- anion is lowered in the above crystal from C3v to C1. The appearance of additional bands in the stretching and bonding mode regions of water indicates the presence of hydrogen bonds of different strengths in both the crystals. Temperature dependent Raman spectra of single crystal [Cu(H2O)6](BrO3)2 are recorded in the range 77-523 K for various temperatures. A small structural rearrangement takes place in BrO3- ion in the crystal at 391 K. Hydrogen bounds in the crystal are rearranging themselves leading to the loss of one water molecule at 485 K. This is preceded by the reorientation of BrO3- ions causing a phase transition at 447 K. Changes in intensities and wavenumbers of the bands and the narrowing down of the bands at 77 K are attributed to the settling down of protons into ordered positions in the crystal.  相似文献

Towards a better understanding of the interface chemistry of ionic liquid (IL) thin film catalytic systems we have applied a rigorous surface science model approach. For the first time, a model homogeneous catalyst has been prepared under ultrahigh vacuum conditions. The catalyst, di-μ-chlorobis(chlorotricarbonylruthenium) [Ru(CO)(3)Cl(2)](2), and the solvent, the IL 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide [BMIM][Tf(2)N], have been deposited by physical vapor deposition onto an alumina model support [Al(2)O(3)/NiAl(110)]. First, the interaction between thin films of [Ru(CO)(3)Cl(2)](2) and the support is investigated. Then, the ruthenium complex is co-deposited with the IL and the influence of the solvent on the catalyst is discussed. D(2)O, which is a model reactant, is further added. Growth, surface interactions, and mutual interactions in the thin films are studied with IRAS in combination with density functional (DFT) calculations. At 105 K, molecular adsorption of [Ru(CO)(3)Cl(2)](2) is observed on Al(2)O(3)/NiAl(110). The IRAS spectra of the binary [Ru(CO)(3)Cl(2)](2) + [BMIM][Tf(2)N] and ternary [Ru(CO)(3)Cl(2)](2) + [BMIM][Tf(2)N] + D(2)O show every characteristic band of the individual components. Above 223 K, partial decomposition of the ruthenium complex leads to species of molecular nature attributed to Ru(CO) and Ru(CO)(2) surface species. Formation of metallic ruthenium clusters occurs above 300 K and the model catalyst decomposes further at higher temperatures. Neither the presence of the IL nor of D(2)O prevents this partial decomposition of [Ru(CO)(3)Cl(2)](2) on alumina.  相似文献

The first example of a mononuclear diphosphanidoargentate, bis[bis(trifluoromethyl)phosphanido]argentate, [Ag[P(CF(3))(2)](2)](-), is obtained via the reaction of HP(CF(3))(2) with [Ag(CN)(2)](-) and isolated as its [K(18-crown-6)] salt. When the cyclic phosphane (PCF(3))(4) is reacted with a slight excess of [K(18-crown-6)][Ag[P(CF(3))(2)](2)], selective insertion of one PCF(3) unit into each silver phosphorus bond is observed, which on the basis of NMR spectroscopic evidence suggests the [Ag[P(CF(3))P(CF(3))(2)](2)](-) ion. On treatment of the phosphane complexes [M(CO)(5)PH(CF(3))(2)] (M = Cr, W) with [K(18-crown-6)][Ag(CN)(2)], the analogous trinuclear argentates, [Ag[(micro-P(CF(3))(2))M(CO)(5)](2)](-), are formed. The chromium compound [K(18-crown-6)][Ag[(micro-P(CF(3))(2))Cr(CO)(5)](2)] crystallizes in a noncentrosymmetric space group Fdd2 (No. 43), a = 2970.2(6) pm, b = 1584.5(3) pm, c = 1787.0(4), V = 8.410(3) nm(3), Z = 8. The C(2) symmetric anion, [Ag[(micro-P(CF(3))(2))Cr(CO)(5)](2)](-), shows a nearly linear arrangement of the P-Ag-P unit. Although the bis(pentafluorophenyl)phosphanido compound [Ag[P(C(6)F(5))(2)](2)](-) has not been obtained so far, the synthesis of its trinuclear counterpart, [K(18-crown-6)][Ag[(micro-P(C(6)F(5))(2))W(CO)(5)](2)], was successful.  相似文献

The infrared and Raman spectra of bis(dl-aspartic acid) sulfate in the crystalline state are recorded at room temperature and the vibrational assignments of the observed wavenumbers are made. The presence of two carbonyl (CO) groups has been identified in the title complex and the two carbonyl groups are in different environment. The extensive intermolecular hydrogen bonding in the crystal has been identified by the shifting of bands due to the stretching and bending modes of the various functional groups. The sulfate group forms the anion. Its fundamentals continue to be degenerate except for the asymmetric bending mode and it suggests that the T(d) symmetry of SO(4)(2-) group has not been affected in the crystal.  相似文献

A novel dinuclear zirconium sandwich-type silicotungstate cluster of [(gamma-SiW(10)O(36))(2)Zr(2)(mu-OH)(2)](10-) (1) was synthesized by the reaction of a divacant lacunary gamma-Keggin silicotungstate [gamma-SiW(10)O(36)](8-) with ZrOCl(2).8H(2)O. The anion consisted of two [gamma-SiW(10)O(36)](8-) units sandwiching a diamond Zr(2)(mu-OH)(2) core, and each zirconium atom in 1 was six-coordinated to two mu-OH ligands and four oxygen atoms of two [gamma-SiW(10)O(36)](8-) units. The Zr(2)(mu-OH)(2) core in 1 reacted with methanol to give the corresponding monomethoxo derivative [(gamma-SiW(10)O(36))(2)Zr(2)(mu-OH)(mu-OCH(3))](10-) (2).  相似文献

The homoleptic complexes [Ph(4)P](2)[Co[N(CN)(2)](4)] and [Ph(4)P][M[N(CN)(2)](3)] [M = Co, Mn] have been structurally as well as magnetically characterized. The complexes containing [M[N(CN)(2)](4)](2-) form 1-D chains, which are bridged via a common dicyanamide ligand in [M[N(CN)(2)](3)](-) to form a 2-D structure. The five-atom [NCNCN](-) bridging ligands lead to weak magnetic coupling along a chain. The six [NCNCN](-) ligands lead to a (4)T(1g) ground state for Co(II) which has an unquenched spin-orbit coupling that is reflected in the magnetic properties. Long-range magnetic ordering was not observed in any of these materials.  相似文献

The photophysical properties of acetonitrile solutions of [Ru(bpy)(3)](2+) and [S(2)Mo(18)O(62)](4-) are described. We discuss evidence for ion cluster formation in solution and the observation that despite the strong donor ability of the excited state of [Ru(bpy)(3)](2+) and its inherent photolability, adducts with [S(2)Mo(18)O(62)](4-) were photostable. Photophysical studies suggest that the quenching of the [Ru(bpy)(3)](2+) excited state by [S(2)Mo(18)O(62)](4-) occurs via a static mechanism and that binding is largely electrostatic in nature. Evidence is provided from difference spectroscopy and luminescence excitation spectroscopy for good electronic communication between [Ru(bpy)(3)](2+) and [S(2)Mo(18)O(62)](4-) with the presence of a novel, luminescent, inter-ion charge-transfer transition. The identity of the transition is confirmed by resonance Raman spectroscopy.  相似文献

A new family of spin crossover complexes, [Fe(II)H(3)L(Me)](NO(3))(2).1.5H(2)O (1), [Fe(III)L(Me)].3.5H(2)O (2), [Fe(II)H(3)L(Me)][Fe(II)L(Me)]NO(3) (3), and [Fe(II)H(3)L(Me)][Fe(III)L(Me)](NO(3))(2) (4), has been synthesized and characterized, where H(3)L(Me) denotes a hexadentate N(6) tripod ligand containing three imidazole groups, tris[2-(((2-methylimidazol-4-yl)methylidene)amino)ethyl]amine. It was found that the spin and oxidation states of the iron complexes with this tripod ligand are tuned by the degree of deprotonation of the imidazole groups and by the 2-methyl imidazole substituent. Magnetic susceptibility and M?ssbauer studies revealed that 1 is an HS-Fe(II) complex, 2 exhibits a spin equilibrium between HS and LS-Fe(III), 3 exhibits a two-step spin transition, where the component [Fe(II)L(Me)](-) with the deprotonated ligand participates in the spin transition process in the higher temperature range and the component [Fe(II)H(3)L(Me)](2+) with the neutral ligand participates in the spin transition process in the lower temperature range, and 4 exhibits spin transition of both the Fe(II) and Fe(III) sites. The crystal structure of 3 consists of homochiral extended 2D puckered sheets, in which the capped tripodlike components [Fe(II)H(3)L(Me)](2+) and [Fe(II)L(Me)](-) are alternately arrayed in an up-and-down mode and are linked by the imidazole-imidazolate hydrogen bonds. Furthermore, the adjacent 2D homochiral sheets are stacked in the crystal lattice yielding a conglomerate as confirmed by the enantiomeric circular dichorism spectra. Compounds 3 and 4 showed the LIESST (light induced excited spin state trapping) and reverse-LIESST effects upon irradiation with green and red light, respectively.  相似文献

Electronic absorption and resonance-enhanced Raman spectra for ketimido (azavinylidene) complexes of tetravalent uranium, (C(5)Me(5))(2)U[-N=C(Ph)(R)](2) (R = Ph, Me, and CH(2)Ph), have been recorded. The absorption spectra exhibit four broad bands between 13 000 and 24 000 cm(-1). The highest-energy band is assigned to the ketimido-localized p( perpendicular)(N)-->pi(N=C) transition based on comparison to the spectra of (C(5)H(5))(2)Zr[-N=CPh(2)](2) and (C(5)Me(5))(2)Th[-N=CPh(2)](2). Upon excitation into any of these four absorption bands, the (C(5)Me(5))(2)U[-N=C(Ph)(R)](2) complexes exhibit resonance enhancement for several Raman bands attributable to vibrations of the ketimido ligands. Raman bands for both the symmetric and nominally asymmetric N=C stretching bands are resonantly enhanced upon excitation into the p( perpendicular)(N)-->pi(N=C) absorption bands, indicating that the excited state is localized on a single ketimido ligand. Raman excitation profiles for (C(5)Me(5))(2)U[-N=CPh(2)](2) confirm that at least one of the lower-energy electronic absorption bands (E(max) approximately 16300 cm(-1)) is a charge-transfer transition between the U(IV) center and the ketimido ligand(s). The observations of both charge-transfer transitions and resonance enhancement of Raman vibrational bands are exceedingly rare for tetravalent actinide complexes and reflect the strong bonding interactions between the uranium 5f/6d orbitals and those on the ketimido ligands.  相似文献

Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were carried out to describe the molecular structures, molecular orbitals, atomic charges, UV-vis absorption spectra, IR, and Raman spectra of bis(phthalocyaninato) rare earth(III) complexes M(Pc)(2) (M = Y, La) as well as their reduced products [M(Pc)(2)](-) (M = Y, La). Good consistency was found between the calculated results and experimental data. Reduction of the neutral M(Pc)(2) to [M(Pc)(2)]- induces the reorganization of their orbitals and charge distribution and decreases the inter-ring interaction. With the increase of ionic size from Y to La, the inter-ring distance of both the neutral and reduced double-decker complexes M(Pc)(2) and [M(Pc)(2)](-) (M = Y, La) increases, the inter-ring interaction and splitting of the Q bands decrease, and corresponding bands in the IR and Raman spectra show a red shift. The orbital energy level and orbital nature of the frontier orbitals are also described and explained in terms of atomic character. The present work, representing the first systemic DFT study on the bis(phthalocyaninato) yttrium and lanthanum complexes sheds further light on clearly understanding structure and spectroscopic properties of bis(phthalocyaninato) rare earth complexes.  相似文献

The X-rays powder diffraction pattern of [C2H5NH3]2SiF6 was obtained and indexed on the basis of a hexagonal unit cell. The vibrational spectra (IR and Raman) of this compound were recorded and discussed in relation to the above-mentioned crystal structure. The vibrational spectra of the cations indicate that they are disordered and hydrogen bonded to the anions. On the opposite, the Raman spectrum of the anions could be interpreted in terms of ordered groups. The combination bands observed in the 2300-1800 cm(-1) spectral region in the IR spectrum indicate that this compound may contain C-NH3 groups.  相似文献

The room temperature iron K-edge X-ray absorption near edge structure spectra of (Fe[HC(3,5-(CH(3))(2)pz)(3)](2))I(2) and (Fe[HC(3,5-(CH(3))(2)pz)(3)](2))(BF(4))(2) have been measured between ambient and 88 and 94 kbar, respectively, in an opposed diamond anvil cell. The iron(II) in (Fe[HC(3,5-(CH(3))(2)pz)(3)](2))I(2)undergoes the expected gradual spin-state crossover from the high-spin state to the low-spin state with increasing pressure. In contrast, the iron(II) in (Fe[HC(3,5-(CH(3))(2)pz)(3)](2))(BF(4))(2) remains high-spin between ambient and 78 kbar and is only transformed to the low-spin state at an applied pressure of between 78 and 94 kbar. No visible change is observed in the preedge peak in the spectra of (Fe[HC(3,5-(CH(3))(2)pz)(3)](2))I(2) with increasing pressure, whereas the preedge peak in the spectra of ((e[HC(3,5-(CH(3))(2)pz)(3)](2))(BF(4))(2) changes as expected for a high-spin to low-spin crossover with increasing pressure. The difference in the spin-state crossover behavior of these two complexes is likely related to the unusual behavior of (Fe[HC(3,5-(CH(3))(2)pz)(3)](2))(BF(4))(2) upon cooling.  相似文献

A detailed understanding of the electronic structure of transition metal bis(dithiolene) complexes is important because of their interesting redox, magnetic, optical, and conducting properties and their relevance to enzymes containing molybdenum and tungsten bis(dithiolene) centers. The electronic structures of the bis(dithiolene) anions [M(mnt)(2)](n-) (M = Ni, Pd, Pt; mnt = 1,2-S(2)C(2)(CN)(2); n = 0-2) were examined by a combination of photodetachment photoelectron spectroscopy (PES) and density functional theory calculations. The combined experimental and theoretical data provide insight into the molecular orbital energy levels of [M(mnt)(2)](2-) and the ground and excited states of [M(mnt)(2)](1-) and [M(mnt)(2)]. Detachment features from ligand-based orbitals of [M(mnt)(2)](2-) occur at similar energies for each species, independent of the metal center, while those arising from metal-based orbitals occur at higher energies for the heavier congeners. Electronic excitation energies inferred for [M(mnt)(2)](1-) from the PES experiments agree well with those obtained in optical absorption experiments in solution, with the PES experiments providing additional insight into the changes in energy of these transitions as a function of metal. The singly charged anions [M(mnt)(2)](1-) were also prepared and studied independently. Electron detachment from the ground states of these doublet anions accessed the lowest singlet and triplet states of neutral [M(mnt)(2)], thereby providing a direct experimental measure of their singlet-triplet splitting.  相似文献

Thermodynamic properties of 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide ([C4mim]NTf2) ionic liquid have been studied by adiabatic calorimetry in the temperature range of 5 to 370 K. This compound has been found to form crystal, liquid, and glass. The temperature and enthalpy of fusion for [C(4)mim]NTf(2) have been determined to be T(fus) = 270.22 +/- 0.02 K and Delta(fus)H = 23.78 +/- 0.04 kJ.mol(-1), respectively. The heat capacity of crystalline [C(4)mim]NTf(2) in the T range of 205 to 255 K may vary by a few percent, subject to the procedure of the crystal preparation. The glass transition temperature for [C(4)mim]NTf(2) has been found to be T(g) = 181.5 +/- 0.1 K. On the basis of the results of DFT quantum chemical calculations, the experimental vibrational spectra, and the available literature data, thermodynamic properties of [C(4)mim]NTf(2) in the ideal-gas state have been calculated by the statistical thermodynamic methods. The entropy values for the gaseous compound obtained from the experimental data and the calculations are in satisfactory agreement.  相似文献
