The reaction between ketoximes CH3(RCH2)C = NOH and acetylene in the presence of KOH and dimethyl sulfoxide at 120°C leads exclusively to 1-vinyl-2-methyl-3-R-pyrroles in 73–87% yields. The regiospecificity of the reaction is disrupted when the temperature is raised, and the fraction of a second isomer (1-vinyl-2-RCH2-pyrrole) reaches 20–50% at 140°C. Regioselectivity is not observed for R1CH2(R2CH2)C = NOH (R1 and R2 = n-alkyl). The relative shifts of the signals of the ring protons and the vinyl group for a number of 2-alkyl-1-vinyl- and 2,3-dialkyl-1-vinylpyrroles were measured. Alkyl substituents have a distinct effect on the chemical shifts of the protons of the 4–5 bonds. As the volume of the 2-alkyl substituent increases the protons of the N-vinyl group are deshielded by 0.10–0.13 ppm, and the 4-H ring proton is shielded by 0.05–0.16 ppm; this is explained by steric inhibition of the p- conjugation in the N-vinyl group during an s-trans(anti)-gauche conformational transition.This is actually communication XVI. Substituent effects are considered, and it is shown that a given substituent has effects on the activity of the-CH=N- group dependent on the benzene ring to which it is attached. An electron-donor substituent shifts El/2 towards the negative side if it is introduced into the p position of the aniline phenyl group, because a substituent in that position has two forms of conjugation: with the double-bond electrons and with the electron pair on the N atom. A substituent in the same position in the benzylidene part does not have the latter form of conjugation and does not alter the molecular geometry, so it has less effect on E1/2 for the-CH=N- group.  相似文献

By the AM-1 method in the semirigid model approximation, the potential energy of internal rotation of the vinyl group has been calculated for 1-vinyl-2-pyridone, 1-vinyl-6-methyl-2-pyridone, and 1-vinyl-4-pyridone. The potential energy of internal rotation in the first and third of these molecules has two minima corresponding to torsion angles around the N-C bond approximately 0 and 180°, separated by barriers to internal rotation 3.99 and 2.94 kcal/mole, respectively. For the 1-vinyl-2-pyridone, the energy minimum at =180°, the s-cis(O) conformation, is 1.83 kcal/mole above the first minimum. For the 1-vinyl-6-methyl-2-pyridone, the torsion angles 0 and 180° correspond to energy maxima; the energy minima occur at 35° and 140°. In the harmonic oscillator approximation, the intervals of torsional vibrations of the vinyl group in these comopunds have been estimated. The thermodynamic parameters of the reaction of 1-vinyl- and 1-ethylazoles with phenol (K as,-H, and -S) were calculated for 11 complexes with the aid of ER spectroscopy. The investigated compounds are arranged in the following order with respect to their basicities on the basis of their K as and pK a values: 1-ethylimidazole, 2-methyl-1-vinylimidazole, 1-ethylbenzimidazole, 1-vinylimidazole, 1-vinylbenzimidazole, 1-ethylpyrazole, l-ethyl-l,2,4-triazole 3,5-methyl-1-vinylpyrazole, 1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole, 1-ethylbenzotriazole, 1-vinylbenzotriazole, and 1-vinylpyrazole. The 13C NMR spectra of eight 2-alkyl- and 2,3-dialkyl-1-vinylpyrroles were studied. The 13C chemical shifts of all of the carbon atoms of the ring and the vinyl group depend substantially on the position and structure of the alkyl substituent. As the branched character of the alkyl group in the 2 position increases, the signal of the -carbon atom of the vinyl group is shifted to weak field due to weakening of the p- conjugation in the N-vinyl group because of disruption of its coplanarity with the pyrrole ring. 1H and13C NMR was used to estimate the dihedral angles between the planes of the vinyl group and the hetero ring for 1-vinylpyridones and quinolones. In 1-vinylpyrrolidone, 1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole-5-ones, 1,3-divinylimidazolidine-2-thione, and 1-vinylbenzimidazole-1-thione the vinyl groups exist predominantly in the s-trans-, but in 1-vinyl-4,5-diphenylimidazole-2-ones in the s-cis(0)-conformations relative to the exocyclic heteroatom. In 1-vinylbenzimidazole-2-ones, 3-vinylbenzoxazole-2-one, and 1-vinylindole-2,3-diones the vinyl group is present as a mixture of the s-cis(0)- and s-trans(0)-conformations. According to1H and13C NMR results there are specific intramolecular interactions in 1-vinylpyrrolidone and in 1,3-divinylimidazolidine-2-thione resembling weak hydrogen bonding between the -hydrogen atoms of the vinyl group and the oxygen or the sulfur atom. In the1H NMR spectrum of 1-vinyl-2-cyanoethylthiobenzimidazole, an abnormal downfield shift has been found in the signal of the -hydrogen atom of the vinyl group, and also an increase in the corresponding direct13C-1H spin-spin coupling constant, in comparison with other 2-substituted benzimidazoles. Calculations have been carried out of the total Mulliken charges on carbon and nitrogen atoms, the relative stability, and equilibrium populations of the s-cis(R) and s-trans(R) conformers of a series of 1-vinyl-5R-tetrazoles (R = H, Me, n-Bu, tert-Bu, Ph, NH2, I, CF3, NO2) by the ab initio MP2/6-31G** method. Out-of-plane structures correspond to the stable s-cis(R) conformer, and the deviation from planarity grows regularly with an increase in the bulk of the substituent. The proportion of s-trans(R) conformation increases in the same series and reaches 100% for R = tert-C4H9. The data of quantum-chemical calculations are in agreement with the results of investigations of the spatial structure of 1-vinyl-5R-tetrazoles by 1H and 13C NMR methods. Values of the total energies of the corresponding homodesmotic reactions were calculated to assess the effect of the nature of the substituent in position 5 of the tetrazole ring on the size of the conjugation energy in planar s-trans(R) conformations of the compounds investigated. 2.  The vinyl group and heterocycle in 3-, 4-, and 5-methyl-1-vinyl-2-pyridones and 5-chloro-1-vinyl-2-pyridone are coplanar and the vinyl group has trans orientation relative to the carbonyl group. The vinyl group in 6-methyl-1-vinyl-2-pyridone is significantly extruded from the plane of the heterocycle.

In the reaction of 1,4-bis(1-vinyl-2-pyrrolyl)benzene with hydrogen chloride and hydrogen bromide the hydrogen halide adds at the vinyl groups, and -protonation takes place in both pyrrole rings. Good correlation between the relative chemical shifts of the ortho and para protons and i and 0 c is observed in 2-substituted pyridines and pyrazines. An increase in the contribution of the inductive effect is observed for the relative chemical shifts of 4-H in 2-substituted pyridines as compared with monosubstituted benzenes. A considerable increase in the fraction of the conjugation effect is observed for the relative chemical shifts of 6-H in pyridines and pyrazines as compared with the meta position in benzenes. The oligomerization of N-vinylpyrroles (N-vinyl-4,5,6,7-tetrahydroindole, N-vinyl-2-[1-(1-4,5,6,7-tetrahydroindole)ethyl]-4,5,6,7-tetrahydroindole, N-vinyl-2-phenylpyrrole, N-vinyl-3-heptyl-2-phenylpyrrole, N-vinyl-2,3-diphenylpyrrole, and N-vinyl-2-(2-naphthyl)pyrrole) under the action of iodine vapor leads to the formation of iodine-containing oligomers with an iodine content of 17–52% and a yield of up to 99%. The oligomers are paramagnetic and possess conductivity; they are readily soluble in organic solvents (benzene, dioxane, and chloroform) and are stable up to 110–260°C.  相似文献

The inclusion complexes of 2-naphthyloxyacetic acid (NOA) and 1-naphthylacetic acid (NAA) with -cyclodextrin have been investigated in aqueous solution. It has been demonstrated that the naphthalene derivatives form 1:1 complexes when included in the cyclodextrin. A possible structure is proposed, having an axial inclusion of the naphthalene derivatives. In the case of the -CD: NOA complex, the naphthyl moiety is included in the cyclodextrin and the acetic acid group protrudes from the cavity, while NAA is only partially included because of the steric effect of the group in position 1. Association constants of 560±100 M–1 and 100±50 M–1 have been calculated for the -CD: NOA and -CD: NAA complexes, making use of the increment in the fluorescene emission produced in the inclusion process.  相似文献

Homolytic reaction of 1-propane- and 1-pentanethiols to 2,4-dimethyl-2-vinyl-1,3-dioxa-2-silacyclohexane, initiated by di-tert-butyl peroxide at 130°C, yields a mixture of isomeric sulfides (95%) as a result of addition at the - and -positions of the vinyl group. Conjugate addition of alkanethiols in the presence of the corresponding sodium thiolate at 100°C gives 10% of the same - and -regioisomeric sulfides at a ratio of 1:20.  相似文献

The 17O NMR spectra of a number of unsaturated 5-membered cyclic acetals, 2-substituted 4-methylene-1,3-dioxolanes and their endocyclic isomers, 4-methyl-1,3-dioxoles, have been recorded. The 17O NMR chemical shifts, in comparison with those of similarly 2-substituted 1,3-dioxolanes, were used to explore the variation of the strength of p– conjugation in the unsaturated acetals as a function of the nature of substitution at C2. The 17O NMR shift data reveal that alkoxy substituents have a significantly more favorable effect on the strength of p– conjugation in 4-methyl-1,3-dioxoles than in 4-methylene-1,3-dioxolanes. This fact appears to be responsible for the previously observed unexpectedly large effect of alkoxy substitution on the relative thermodynamic stabilities of these two classes of isomeric compounds. Additional information of the unexpected charge distribution in 4-methyl-1,3-dioxoles is provided by their 1H and 13C NMR spectra.  相似文献

According to the 1H and 13C NMR data, 1-isopropenylpyrroles are characterized by larger dihedral angles between the heteroring and exocyclic double bond planes, as compared to isostructural 1-vinylpyrroles, due to steric effect of the α-methyl group in the propenyl fragment. As a result, p-π conjugation with the propenyl group is weaker than with the vinyl group. The propenyl group in 1-isopropenylpyrrole having no other substituents in the heteroring is forced out from the heteroring plane, while the 1-vinylpyrrole molecule is planar. If substituents are present in positions 2 and 5 of the pyrrole ring, the propenyl group on the nitrogen atom becomes orthogonal with respect to the pyrrole ring plane, so that no p-π conjugation is possible. The steric structures of (E)-1-(prop-1-en-1-yl)pyrrole and (Z)-1-(prop-1-en-1-yl)pyrrole are different: the propenyl group in the former is turned relative to the heteroring plane, while the latter molecule is planar.  相似文献
