Let K be a nonempty closed convex subset of a uniformly convex Banach space E with a uniformly Gâteaux differentiable norm. Suppose that T:KK is an asymptotically non-expansive mapping and for arbitrary initial value x0K, we will introduce the Mann iteration of its Cesàro means:

In this note, we will modify several gaps in Chidume and Ofoedu [C.E. Chidume, E.U. Ofoedu, A new iteration process for generalized Lipschitz pseudo-contractive and generalized Lipschitz accretive mappings, Nonlinear Anal. (2006), in press (doi:10.1016/j.na.2006.05.012)].  相似文献

A new iteration process is introduced and proved to converge strongly to a common fixed point for a finite family of generalized Lipschitz nonlinear mappings in a real reflexive Banach space EE with a uniformly Gâteaux differentiable norm if at least one member of the family is pseudo-contractive. It is also proved that a slight modification of the process converges to a common zero for a finite family of generalized Lipschitz accretive operators defined on EE. Results for nonexpansive families are obtained as easy corollaries. Finally, the new iteration process and the method of proof are of independent interest.  相似文献

Under the assumption that EE is a reflexive Banach space whose norm is uniformly Gêteaux differentiable and which has a weakly continuous duality mapping JφJφ with gauge function φφ, Ceng–Cubiotti–Yao [Strong convergence theorems for finitely many nonexpansive mappings and applications, Nonlinear Analysis 67 (2007) 1464–1473] introduced a new iterative scheme for a finite commuting family of nonexpansive mappings, and proved strong convergence theorems about this iteration. In this paper, only under the hypothesis that EE is a reflexive Banach space which has a weakly continuous duality mapping JφJφ with gauge function φφ, and several control conditions about the iterative coefficient are removed, we present a short and simple proof of the above theorem.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a new implicit iteration scheme with perturbed mapping for approximation of common fixed points of a finite family of nonexpansive mappings. We establish some convergence theorems for this implicit iteration scheme. In particular, necessary and sufficient conditions for strong convergence of this implicit iteration scheme were obtained.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to study the strong convergence of a process of implicit iteration to a common fixed point for a finite family of asymptotically hemi-contractive mappings. Our results extend a recent result of M.O. Osilike and B.G. Akuchu [Common fixed points of a finite family of asymptotically pseudocontractive maps, Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2 (2004) 81–88] from Hilbert spaces to pp-uniformly convex Banach spaces with p>1p>1.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove strong convergence theorems by the hybrid method for a family of hemi-relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results given by Qin et al. [Xiaolong Qin, Yeol Je Cho, Shin Min Kang, Haiyun Zhou, Convergence of a modified Halpern-type iteration algorithm for quasi-?-nonexpansive mappings, Appl. Math. Lett. 22 (2009) 1051-1055], and at the same time, our iteration algorithm is different from the Kimura and Takahashi algorithm, which is a modified Mann-type iteration algorithm [Yasunori Kimura, Wataru Takahashi, On a hybrid method for a family of relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach space, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 357 (2009) 356-363]. In addition, we succeed in applying our algorithm to systems of equilibrium problems which contain a family of equilibrium problems.  相似文献

In this paper, we modify the normal Mann’s iterative process to have strong convergence for a kk-strictly pseudo-contractive non-self mapping in the framework of Hilbert spaces. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results announced by many others.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a new modified Mann iteration for computing fixed points of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space setting. This new iterative scheme combines the modified Mann iteration introduced by Kim and Xu [T.H. Kim, H.K. Xu, Strong convergence of modified Mann iterations, Nonlinear Anal. 61 (2005) 51–60] and the viscosity approximation method introduced by Moudafi [A. Moudafi, Viscosity approximation methods for fixed-points problems, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 241 (2000) 46–55]. We give certain different control conditions for the modified Mann iteration. Strong convergence in a uniformly smooth Banach space is established.  相似文献

Let C be a nonempty, closed and convex subset of a real Hilbert space H. Let Ti:CC,i=1,2,…,N, be a finite family of Lipschitz pseudocontractive mappings. It is our purpose, in this paper, to prove strong convergence of Ishikawa’s method to a common fixed point of a finite family of Lipschitz pseudocontractive mappings provided that the interior of the common fixed points is nonempty. No compactness assumption is imposed either on T or on C. Moreover, computation of the closed convex set Cn for each n≥1 is not required. The results obtained in this paper improve on most of the results that have been proved for this class of nonlinear mappings.  相似文献

In [C.O. Chidume, G. De Souza, Convergence of a Halpern-type iteration algorithm for a class of pseudocontractive mappings, Nonlinear Analysis (2007), doi:10.1016/j.na.2007.08.008], the authors proved a strong convergence result for strictly pseudo-contractive mappings using a Halpern-type iteration algorithm. However, the main result is not correct. In this note, we provide a counter-example to the theorem.  相似文献

We show strong and weak convergence for Mann iteration of multivalued nonexpansive mappings TT in a Banach space. Furthermore, we give a strong convergence of the modified Mann iteration which is independent of the convergence of the implicit anchor-like continuous path zt∈tu+(1−t)Tztzttu+(1t)Tzt.  相似文献

In this paper we propose a new modified Mann iteration for computing common fixed points of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. We give certain different control conditions for the modified Mann iteration. Then, we prove strong convergence theorems for a countable family of nonexpansive mappings in uniformly smooth Banach spaces. These results improve and extend results of Kim and Xu [T.H. Kim, H.K. Xu, Strong convergence of modified Mann iterations, Nonlinear Anal. 61 (2005) 51–60], Yao, et al. [Y. Yao, R. Chen and J. A new iterative method for approximating fixed points of bounded and continuous pseudocontractive mapping is proposed and a strong convergence theorem is obtained. As an application, we prove that a slight modification of our new scheme could be employed for approximating zeros of bounded and continuous accretive operators. Our theorems extend and unify most of the results that have been proved for this class of mappings.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the convergence of a Halpern type proximal point algorithm for accretive operators in Banach spaces. Our results fill the gap in the work of Zhang and Song (2012) [1] and, consequently, all the results there can be corrected accordingly.  相似文献

In this paper, we consider an Ishikawa type iteration process with errors to approximate the fixed point of two uniformly quasi-Lipschitzian mappings in convex metric spaces. Some results have been obtained which generalize and unify many important known results in recent literature.  相似文献

Let EE be a uniformly convex Banach space which satisfies Opial’s condition or whose norm is Fréchet differentiable. Recently, Takahashi and Shimoji [W. Takahashi, K. Shimoji, Convergence theorems for nonexpansive mappings and feasibility problems, Math. Comput. Modelling 32 (2000) 1463–1471] introduced an iterative scheme given by finitely many nonexpansive mappings in EE and proved weak convergence theorems which are connected with the problem of image recovery. In this paper we introduce a new iterative scheme which includes their iterative scheme as a special case. Under the assumption that EE is a reflexive Banach space whose norm is uniformly Gâteaux differentiable and which has a weakly continuous duality mapping, we prove strong convergence theorems which are connected with the problem of image recovery. Using the established results, we consider the problem of finding a common fixed point of finitely many nonexpansive mappings.  相似文献

Let (X,?) be a partially ordered set and d be a complete metric on X. Let F,G be two set-valued mappings on X. We obtained sufficient conditions for the existence of common fixed point of F and G satisfying an implicit relation in partially ordered set X.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a comparative study between the variational iteration method and Adomian decomposition method. The study outlines the significant features of the two methods. The analysis will be illustrated by investigating the homogeneous and the nonhomogeneous advection problems.  相似文献
