The angular distributions of deuterons from the 6Li(α, d)8Be reaction corresponding to the 0+ ground state and the 2.9 MeV (2+) state in8Be have been measured at Eα = 17.3, 23.3 and 25.1 MeV. The excitation functions for this reaction have been measured at seven emission angles in the region from 12 up to 25 MeV. The experimental angular distributions are compared with theoretical predictions obtained using DWBA stripping calculations and the plane wave approximation (PWA) for various direct processes. It is shown that the experimental angular distributions can be described throughout the angular region using the simple mechanisms associated with the break-up of the 6Li target nuc clusters and heavy-particle stripping. The interference of these processes is taken into account.  相似文献

A target of 6Li was bombarded with the 3He beam from the University of Illinois cyclotron. Differential cross sections for the elastic scattering, the inelastic scattering to the first two excited states of 6Li, and the (3He, t) charge-exchange reaction to the ground state of 6Be were determined over angular ranges of approximately 20° to 115° (c.m.) at 3He energies of 24.6 MeV and 27.0 MeV. (The weak inelastic transition to the 3.56 MeV state of 6Li, ordinarily obscured by a background of three-body break-up, was observed by requiring a coincidence at most angles between the scattered 3He and the 6Li recoil.) The ratio of the integrated charge-exchange cross section between 55° and 115° to the integrated inelastic cross section for this transition (both with ΔT = 1) is somewhat less than expected from isospin considerations (i.e., about 1.6 instead of 2.0).  相似文献

An upper limit of 1.5×10?4 was measured for the branching ratio of the doublephoton to single-photon transition from the 2.2 MeV np capture state to the ground state of the deuteron. This result was obtained in a coincidence experiment with two Ge(Li) detectors. Based on the total cross section of 334.2 mb for the thermal neutron capture in hydrogen, the upper limit corresponds to a cross section of 49 μb for the two-photon emission in the energy region 46 keV<E γ<2177 keV.  相似文献

The 75As(d, p)76As reaction was investigated with 11 MeV deuterons. Thirty levels of the residual nucleus were identified up to about 1.8 MeV excitation energy, and angular distributions were measured. Spectroscopic factors and ln values were obtained for low-lying transitions by means of a distorted-wave analysis of the differential cross sections. The ln = 4 transition to the ground state of 76As and the presence of ln = 2 transitions to low-lying levels provide a strong support to the assumption that nuclei in this mass region have a large deformation parameter. The results are compared with the 75As(n, γ)76As data.  相似文献

Angular distributions from the reactions72Ge(d, p)73Ge and73Ge(p, p′)73Ge have been studied with 8.0 MeV deuterons and 12.0 MeV protons, respectively, using the Aldermaston Tandem Van de Graaff generator and multi-angle magnetic spectrograph. The ground stateQ-value of the (d, p) reaction was measured to be 4.571±0.004 MeV. The energies, values of the transferred orbital angular momenta, parities and transition strengths in both reactions were determined by use of distorted-wave Bornapproximation calculations, for levels up to 3 MeV excitation energy. The sums of the transition strengths are compared with shell model calculations as well as with values obtained in neighbouring nuclei. Discrepancies between parity and possible spin assignments of states observed in the two reactions are discussed.  相似文献

Existing experimental data on elastic and inelastic deuteron scattering on 6Li nuclei in the energy range from 8 to 50 MeV were analyzed within the approach of coupled reaction channels. The coupling of elastic scattering and inelastic scattering accompanied by the transition to the 3+ state at E x = 2.186 MeV and the mechanism involving the exchange of an alpha-particle cluster were taken into account in respective calculations. The phenomenological potentials obtained from the present analysis describe well experimental angular distributions at all energies and in full angular ranges. The depths of the real and imaginary parts of the potentials in question depend smoothly on energy at fixed values of the remaining parameters. The energy dependence of relevant volume integrals agrees well with similar data for the p + 6Li, ?? + 6Li, and 12C + 12C systems and with the predictions of a microscopic theory.  相似文献

The interactions of deuterons with7Li, in which two α-particles and a neutron are produced in the final state are studied atE d =1.2 MeV. The dual parameter α-α coincidence spectrum was analyzed with a search program. The results indicate two excited states of5He: One at excitation energy 2.9±0.1 MeV and with a reduced width of γ2=1.1±0.4 MeV, and the other at 4.8±0.4 MeV, with γ2=0.9±0.4 MeV. No contributions of sequential decay through the 4+ state in8Be or direct three body decay was observed.  相似文献

At an energy of 25 MeV and in the angular range 7°−175° in the laboratory frame, angular distributions were measured for elastic deuteron scattering on 6Li nuclei and for the respective inelastic-scattering processes accompanied by the transitions to the ground state (1+) of the 6Li nucleus and to its excited state at E x = 2.186 MeV (J π = 3+). The resulting data were analyzed on the basis of the optical model of the nucleus and the coupled-reaction-channel method with allowance for the mechanism of alpha-particle-cluster exchange. It is shown that only upon including, in the analysis, channel coupling and the exchange mechanism can the experimental cross sections for elastic and inelastic scattering be reproduced over the entire range of angles.  相似文献

The spectra of deuterons emitted at angles of 6.5°, 9.5°, 13.5° and 16° (lab system) in the interaction of protons with the nuclei 1H, 2H, 6Li, 7Li, C, Al, Cu, Rh and Pb have been measured in the momentum range 700–1700 MeV/c. The secondary particles were analyzed with the help of magnetic and time-of-flight spectrometers. The differential cross sections for deuteron production in the reactions p + 〈2N〉 → N + d and p + 〈N〉 → d + π have been measured for selected nuclei and angles. The effective numbers of nucleons and of two-nucleon clusters for the investigated nuclei were determined. The results obtained are discussed in terms of the dispersion theory of direct nuclear reactions.  相似文献

The 28Si(7Li, 7Be)28Al reaction has been investigated at E7Li = 36 MeV. States and groups of states were observed up to 5.3 MeV excitation in the 28Al+7Be system. Experimental angular distribution for unresolved doublets of states at ≈ 0.0 and 0.44 MeV excitation, corresponding to 7Be in its ground state (7Be0) and first excited states (7Be1) with 28Al in its ground state (3+) and first excited state (0.031 MeV, 2+) are compared with microscopic distorted wave approximation calculations.  相似文献

The elastic and inelastic scattering of protons from 6Li has been studied at incident energies of 25.9, 29.9, 35.0, 40.1 and 45.4 MeV. The 2.18 MeV (3+, T = 0) first excited state of 6Li was found to be strongly excited, but the 3.56 MeV (0+, T = 1) second excited state was quite weakly excited. Angular distributions for excitation of the 2.18 MeV level were measured at all five energies, while angular distributions for excitation of the 3.56 MeV level were extracted only at 25.9 and 45.4 MeV. To test the applicability of the optical model for the scattering of protons from such a light nucleus the elastic scattering angular distributions have been analyzed using the eleven-parameter search code SEEK. Available polarization angular distributions were included in the analysis. Reasonable fits to the data have been obtained with an average geometry potential. Theoretical estimates of the real part of the optical potential and the inelastic scattering differential cross sections have been made using the microscopic model for proton-nucleus scattering. Both phenomenological and realistic forces have been considered and the necessary nuclear transition densities have been extracted from experimental elastic and inelastic electron scattering data. An estimate of a possible spin-spin term in the optical potential has also been made.  相似文献

Elastic scattering data have been measured for the 7Li + 90Zr, 6Li + 90Zr, and 6Li + 91Zr systems at E(Li) = 34 MeV. Inelastic scattering data for the 7Li + 90Zr and 6Li + 90Zr systems were also measured for the 2+(2.18 MeV) and 3?(2.75 MeV) states in 90Zr and the 12?(0.48 MeV) state in 7Li. Optical model analyses of the elastic scattering data and DWBA analyses for the states in 90Zr were performed. The deduced deformation lengths for the 2+ state agreed with those extracted in other studies but the deformation length for the 3? state was smaller. The 90Zr(7Li, 6Li)91Zr angular distributions were measured for the 1.21 and 2.03 MeV states and the 2.19 MeV doublet in 91Zr. Also, 90Zr(7Li, 6He)91Nb angular distributions were measured for the ground states, 0.10, 3.41 and 4.82 MeV states in 91Nb. The transitions well matched in angular momentum were described by finite-range DWBA calculations, while other transitions displayed the same phase problems seen with heavier ions. The extracted spectroscopic information was consistent with the results of other reaction studies. At the present energy, it was not possible to determine whether the l = 1 phase problem that occurs for heavy-ion single-nucleon transfer reactions on 2s-1d shell nuclei occurs in 91Zr also.  相似文献

The mass of10Li has been measured with two different reactions:9Be(13C,12N)10Li,E Lab=336 MeV, and13C(14C,17F)10Li,E Lab=337 MeV. The mass excess of 33.445(50) MeV is deduced from theQ-value measurement.10Li is found to be particle-unstable with respect to one-neutron emission by 0.42(5) MeV. In the analysis of the first reaction a low lying excited state is found at 0.38(8) MeV. This state and the ground state can be most probably identified as the 1+/2+-doublet coupled from the [π 1p3/2 ?ν 1p 1/2] configuration, the 1+-state being the ground state. The (13C,12N)-reaction populates the 1+-state strongly due to a spin-isospin-flip character of the dominant part of the transition amplitude. The 2+-member corresponds to the mass given by Wilcox et al. A second excited state is observed at 4.05(10) MeV with a width of 0.7(2) MeV, it can be associated with theν 1d 5/2-strength. The second reaction is fully supporting the interpretation of the ground state doublet. The excited state at 4.05 MeV is not observed in this reaction and indeed it should not, because the reaction does not populate in first order excited neutron configurations. The levels are well described by mean field calculations including pairing correlations. The lowest resonance in the calculations is theν 1/2?-configuration, whereas theν 1/2+-configuration shows at the neutron threshold a strong non-resonant contribution.  相似文献

The reaction 12C(12Li, α)14N was studied to investigate the isospin mixing of high-lying levels in 18F. Excitation functions and angular distributions of the α-transitions to the ground, first and second excited states in 14N were measured for bombarding energies from 3.2 to 8.0 MeV. The isospin-forbidden cross section for the excitation of the lowest T = 1 state in 14N at 2.31 MeV was found to lie between 1–2 % of that of the allowed transitions. A partial wave analysis of the α1 angular distribution data revealed a strong resonance with Jπ = 2+ at Ex = 15.99 MeV. Arguments are presented which tentatively identify this resonance as being due to two close-lying 2+ levels with different isospin.  相似文献

The gamma decay mode and the possible spin values of the second excited state of48Ca (E x =4.28 MeV) were investigated by studying the48Ca(p, p′γ) reaction at an incident proton energy of 10.30 MeV. No ground state gamma transition was observed. The analysis of thep 2 -γ angular correlation — using method II of Litherland and Ferguson — supports the spin assignmentI=0 for this level and excludes all spin values higher thanI=1.  相似文献

Detailed angular distributions for the elastic and inelastic scattering of 7Li at E = 36, 42, and 48 MeV and of 6Li at E = 38, 44, and 50 MeV by 54Fe have been measured. It is not possible to describe both sets of data with the same set of optical-model parameters. The ratio of UW is 0.8 for 7Li and 1.4 for 6Li at the strong absorption radius, implying stronger absorption for 7Li than for 6Li. No energy dependence in the optical-model parameters was necessary for either 6Li or 7Li. The inelastic scattering from the 54Fe 2+, 1.41 MeV state was well described by the DWBA and the extracted deformation length (βR = 0.62) was the same for both 6Li and 7Li scattering. It was not possible to describe the 7Li projectile excitation data with collective-model DWBA calculations showing that more detailed calculations for the projectile excitation are necessary.  相似文献

The longitudinal form factors of the ground and 2.18 MeV (3+, T = 0) states, and the transverse form factors of the 3.56 MeV (0+, T = 1) and 5.37 MeV (2+, T = 1) states of 6Li are compared with the predictions based on fully antisymmetrized α-d and t-τ cluster models. The longitudinal form factors are adequately described by the α-d model, but the transverse form factors seem to be more consistent with a t-τ model which is close to the shell-model limit. Estimates are made for the ground state t and α spectroscopic factors. The 3.56 MeV M1 transition current density is calculated for both models and compared with experiment.  相似文献

Angular distributions for the 6He(p, γ0 + 1)7Li process at the energy E γ = 40 MeV are calculated within the potential cluster approach. It is shown that the observed cross section is well reproduced when E1 and E2 transitions are taken into account; in this case, unlike the case in the RGM calculations, the dominating mechanism is direct capture to the ground state of the 7Li nucleus. Total cross sections for direct photodisintegration 7Li (γ, p0)6He in the energy interval E γ = 22–30 MeV are calculated.  相似文献

Spins, parities and transition probabilities of levels in 32P at Ex > 3.5 MeV have been determined with the 29Si(α, pγ)32P reaction at bombarding energies of Eα = 12.80, 12.93 and 16.30 MeV. Proton-gamma angular correlation experiments and DSA lifetime measurements lead to six unambiguous spin assignments and to many spin limitations. The measured mixing and branching ratios yield many transition strengths for dipole and electric quadrupole transitions. Five, sofar unknown, energy levels are reported. A doublet at 4.03 MeV excitation energy and a high-spin state (Ex = 4.27 MeV; Jπ = 5?) were observed. Shell-model predictions have been compared to the present experimental results.  相似文献
