The reaction 42Ca(γ, nt)41Ca has been measured from 10.5 MeV to 28 MeV using an enriched metal target and the yield curve technique. The resultant cross section shows gross structure which is shown to be consistent with predictions of isospin splitting of the giant dipole resonance.  相似文献

The photoneutron production cross section in 9Be was measured with a synchrotron using energy sweeping. Neutrons were detected with a multi-BF3-counter flat-response detection system. Under high resolution the cross section shows 23 maxima between 6 and 27 MeV which are caused predominantly by E1 transitions.  相似文献

The photoneutron cross section of 45Sc has been measured from threshold to 25 MeV using bremsstrahlung and direct neutron detection. The cross section is found to exhibit a large width of approximately 8 MeV and this is interpreted in terms of the Danos hydrodynamic model for the giant resonance of deformed nuclei. The integrated cross section to 25 MeV is 158 ± 24 MeV mb.  相似文献

The photoneutron cross section of 6Li has been measured from threshold to 17 MeV using bremsstrahlung from an electron synchrotron. Neutrons were detected by a high-efficiency multi-BF3-counter detection system. The cross section shows broad peaks at 12 MeV and 16 MeV with no other structure apparent.  相似文献

Energy distributions of neutrons from the (d, n) reactions on 12–14C leading to unbound states of 13–15N have been measured at 6.3 or 6.5 MeV deuteron energy. Angular distributions have been extracted for 13, 14C(d, n) transitions and analysed with DWBA using the extra-polation technique to give l-values and transition strengths for ten unbound states in 14N and six in 15N. For the 15N level at 10.541 MeV it is concluded that Jπ is 32?. A new 15N level is observed at 11.44 MeV. The 0° (d, n) cross sections have been set in proportion to (p, p0) resonance cross sections, and a pronounced l-dependence of the ratio is obtained.  相似文献

The level structure of 117Sb was investigated in the reactions 115In(α, 2nγ)117mSb, 117Sn(d, 2nγ)117mSb and 117Sn(p, nγ)117mSb. In order to confirm level sequences and to assign spins and parities to levels populated in the decay of the isomeric three-particle state T12 = 340 μs), prompt and delayed γ-ray spectra, lifetimes, γ-γ coincidences, γ-ray angular distributions, conversion electrons and excitation functions were measured. The spin 252+ of the isomeric state can be explained by the three-particle configuration [π(d52); v(h112)2 10+]252+. This is supported by the experimentally determined g-factor of g = O.115 ± 0.006. Other levels in 117Sb can be interpreted as particle states coupled to anharmonic vibrations of the core. The existence of an excited 92+[404] quasirotational band is experimentally proved and is supported by calculations of the equilibrium deformation.  相似文献

By using a variable monochromatic photon beam, the partial photoneutron cross sections σ(γ, n) + σ(γ, pn), σ(γ, 2n) and σ(γ, 3n) are determined in the region of the giant dipole resonance for the doubly even Mo isotopes 92Mo, 94Mo, 96Mo, 98Mo and 100Mo. Measured integrated photoneutron cross sections are compared with available integrated photoproton cross sections as a function of A. Broadening of the giant dipole resonance as A increases is observed in good agreement with the predictions of the dynamic collective model. A tentative study of some isospin splitting effects is also carried out.  相似文献

Absolute (γ, xn) cross sections for 10B and 11B were measured up to 35 MeV using a quasi-monoenergetic photon beam from positron annihilation in flight. The experimental cross sections were compared with many-particle shell-model calculations and data from previous bremsstrahlung experiments. The 11B photoneutron cross section is discussed with respect to possible isospin splitting. A systematic review of the photoneutron cross sections of the p-shell nuclei integrated up to about 30 MeV seems to show a strong influence of the α-cluster structure of the target nuclei.  相似文献

The partial photoneutron cross sections [σ(γ, n) + σ(γ, pn)] and σ(γ, 2n) of 64Zn, Ga, 70,72,74,76Ge, 75As and 76,78,80,82Se were measured with a monochromatic photon beam and a high efficiency neutron detecting system in the photon-energy range 8 ≦ E ≦ 30 Me V. Integrated cross sections are discussed. The evolution of the GDR as observed through the neutron exit channel only, is tentatively interpreted either in terms of isospin splitting or in terms of the dynamic collective model.  相似文献

Photoneutron cross sections for (181)Ta(y, n) (180)Ta(m) were determined from simultaneous measurements of total cross sections (sigma(tot) and ground-state cross sections (sigma(gs)) for (180)Ta in photodisintegration of with laser Compton-backscattered rays. Techniques of direct neutron counting and photoactivation were used for the measurement of sigma(tot) and sigma(gs), respectively. The partial cross sections for the isomeric state serves as a novel probe of the nuclear level density of (180)Ta. Implications for the p- and s-process nucleosynthesis of (180)Ta(m) are given.  相似文献

We have measured isomeric cross-section ratios for the photonuclear reactions 181Ta(γ, 3n) 178m,gTa, 142Nd(γ, n)141m,gNd, 110Pd(γ, n)109m1,m2,gPd, 108Pd(γ, n)107m1,m2Pd, 100Mo(γ, n) 99m,gMo, 92Mo(γ, n)91m,gMo and 89Y(γ, n)88m1,m2Y. The experimental results were compared with statistical model calculations according to the method of Huizenga and Vandenbosch. The applicability and limits of this method, especially the simple decision model for the population of the isomeric state and the ground state of the residual nucleus, were tested and discussed. Additionally, it is shown that for photonuclear reactions on magic nuclei, contributions of a direct reaction mechanism are not negligible.  相似文献

A new γ-ray cascade model for predicting isomeric ratios is described. This model employs nuclear level densities generated numerically with a computer program designed by Hillman and Grover. Isomeric state production ratios in 69Zn, 80Br, 81Se and 165Dy have been measured for the (n, γ) reaction as a function of neutron energy. Measurements have been performed on relative conversion line intensities of the hindered 74.38 keV isomeric transition in 191Os with the 12π√13 iron-free β-ray spectrometer. Short-lived isomeric states in 108Ag and 110Ag were populated by means of (p, n) and (d, p) reactions. The nuclear g-factors of these states were determined with the pulsed beam DPAD method to be g(108Ag; 215 keV) = 1.294(6) and g(110Ag; 119 keV) = 1.277(15). The results indicate a spin and parity Iπ = 2+ for 108Ag and Iπ = 3+ for 110Ag.  相似文献

The g-factors of two isomeric states at Ex = 3763 and 5170 keV in 216Ra have been measured to be 0.51 ± 0.03 and 0.63 ± 0.06, respectively, with a TDPAD method. Spin and parity assignments of 19? for the 3763 keV state and 25? or 24+ for the 5170 keV state are consistent with the measured g-factors. Proposed configurations for the 19? and 25? assignments are of the same type as those predicted by a deformed independent-particle model for 214Rn, which is an isotone of 216Ra.  相似文献

The yields and isomeric yield ratios in the photoproduction of44Sc from 45Sc, 55Mn, Fe, 59Co and 75As have been measured by activation methods in the energy region 100–800 MeV. Mean cross sections and isomeric cross-section ratios in the energy region 250–800 MeV have been deduced and the number of valence neutrons available for the (γ, n) reaction estimated. The experimental cross sections are compared both to cascade-evaporation calculations based upon the free-nucleon photopion cross sections and to cross sections calculated with a semi-empirical formula. The isomeric cross-section ratios are compared to calculations based on the statistical formalism by Huizenga and Vandenbosch together with cascade-evaporation theory.  相似文献

The nuclear g-factor of the 4498 keV 172+ isomeric state in 63Cu was measured with the in-bearn perturbed angular distribution method, through the 62Ni(α, p2nγ)63Cu reaction, to be gexp = 0.184 ± 0.012. This value is in good agreement with a semiempirical g-factor for the three-quasiparticle configuration [π2p32(v1f52, 1g92)7]172+ calculated using the experimental single-particle g-factors of neighbouring nuclei. At the same time the internal magnetic field at the Cu nuclei in Ni metal was obtained to be Bint = ?46.6 ± 1.3 kG.  相似文献

The odd-mass nucleus 107Cd was investigated in the reactions 105Pd(α, 2n)107Cd, 107Ag(d, 2n)107Cd and107Ag(p, n)107Cd. The constructed level scheme is based on results, obtained from singles γ-ray spectra and excitation functions, from the measurements of delayed γ-rays, of γ-γ coincidences, of internal conversion electrons and of γ-ray angular distributions. Two new isomers were observed. The first one, interpreted as the h112 neutron state at 845.6 keV has a half-life of 67 ± 6 ns. This isomeric state is populated by a strong E2 cascade. Bands built on the other intrinsic states with spins and parities 52+ and 72+ are not strongly populated. For the second isomeric state at an excitation energy of 2679 keV a half-life of 55±4 ns was determined. This isomer is probably a three-quasiparticle state. Its configuration can be proposed as [π(g92)?28+ν(72)1]212+.  相似文献

The static electric quadrupole moment Q2+ and the B(E2; 0+ → 2+) value of the 2+ first excited state of 204Hg have been determined using the reorientation effect in Coulomb excitation. An annular Si surface-barrier detector was used to detect back-scattered 4He, 12C and 16O projectiles. In a subsidiary experiment, spectra were obtained from 204Hg(p, p')204Hg using Si surface-barrier detectors, and the results were used in conjunction with previously existing data to provide information on higher states of 204Hg which might participate in the Coulomb excitation of the 2+ state. From a 3-level analysis, we find Q2+ = +0.40 ± 0.20 e · b and B(E2; 0+ → 2+) = 0.423 ± 0.005 e2 · b2. These results are in good agreement with the predictions of particle-vibrational coupling calculations. The value obtained for Q2+(204Hg) is substantially smaller in magnitude than values of Q2+ previously determined for 198, 200, 202Hg.  相似文献
