本文研究了期货期权和裂解价差期权的定价问题.利用Fourier变换方法,在ASub CIR模型的基础上,获得了单因素期货期权,两因素期货期权以及价差期权价格的表达式,最后用C++和MATLAB计算出期权的价格,解决了利用特征函数展开法计算期权价格时速度较慢且不稳定的问题.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a Quasi-Monte Carlo approach for pricingEuropean-style Asian options, i.e. for options whose pay-offdepends on the average price of the underlying asset where theaverage is extended over a fixed period up to the maturity date.Following a recent development in mathematical finance, we assumethat the log returns of the asset are not normally but hyperbolicallydistributed. This hypothesis is approved by several authorswith different statistic tests on real financial data. The aimof this paper is to advance the hyperbolic model to the pricingof Asian options, since there only exist pricing formulae forplain vanilla options and some types of exotic options (e.g.power call options, barrier options) so far. Barrier options are standard exotic options traded in the financial market. These instruments are different from the vanilla options as the payoff of the option depends on whether the underlying asset price reaches a predetermined barrier level, during the life of the option. In this work, we extend the vanilla call barrier options to power call barrier options where the underlying asset price is raised to a constant power, within the standard Black–Scholes framework. It is demonstrated that the pricing of the power barrier options can be obtained from standard barrier options by a transformation which involves the power contract and a adjusted barrier. This paper formally analyses two exotic options with lookback features, referred to as extreme spread lookback options and look‐barrier options, first introduced by Bermin. The holder of such options receives partial protection from large price movements in the underlying, but at roughly the cost of a plain vanilla contract. This is achieved by increasing the leverage through either floating the strike price (for the case of extreme spread options) or introducing a partial barrier window (for the case of look‐barrier options). We show how to statically replicate the prices of these hybrid exotic derivatives with more elementary European binary options and their images, using new methods first introduced by Buchen and Konstandatos. These methods allow considerable simplification in the analysis, leading to closed‐form representations in the Black–Scholes framework.  相似文献

The paper deals with the numerical valuation of leasing contracts with a variety of embedded operating options. Unlike earlier work which either ignores such options or focuses on only one type of operating option in isolation, this paper recognizes that leasing is a context in which complex options typically occur as well as the importance of using computational methods to quantify the interactions among several options present in combination. It describes a Contingent Claims Analysis (CCA) of operating lease options, and suggests a CCA-based numerical analysis method for valuing leasing contracts with multiple such options. A numerical leasing example with the options to cancel the lease early, extend its life, and purchase the leased asset is presented for illustration.  相似文献

Many underlying assets of option contracts, such as currencies, commodities, energy, temperature and even some stocks, exhibit both mean reversion and stochastic volatility. This paper investigates the valuation of options when the underlying asset follows a mean-reverting lognormal process with stochastic volatility. A closed-form solution is derived for European options by means of Fourier transform. The proposed model allows the option pricing formula to capture both the term structure of futures prices and the market implied volatility smile within a unified framework. A bivariate trinomial lattice approach is introduced to value path-dependent options with the proposed model. Numerical examples using European options, American options and barrier options demonstrate the use of the model and the quality of the numerical scheme.  相似文献

In the last decade, many kinds of exotic options have been traded and introduced in the financial market. This paper describes a new kind of exotic option, lookback options with knock‐out boundaries. These options are knock‐out options whose pay‐offs depend on the extrema of a given securities price over a certain period of time. Closed form expressions for the price of seven kinds of lookback options with knock‐out boundaries are obtained in this article. The numerical studies have also been presented.  相似文献

Asian options are popular path-dependent financial derivatives. This paper uses lattices to price fixed-strike European-style Asian options that are discretely monitored. The algorithm proposed can also be applied to floating-strike Asian options as well because fixed-strike and floating-strike Asian options are related through an equation. The discretely monitored version is usually found in practice instead of the continuously monitored version usually encountered in the literature. This paper presents the first provably quadratic-time convergent lattice algorithm for pricing fixed-strike European-style discretely monitored Asian options. It is the most efficient lattice algorithm with convergence guarantees. The algorithm relies on the Lagrange multipliers to choose the number of states for each node of the lattice. Extensive numerical experiments and comparisons with many existing numerical methods confirm the performance claims and the competitiveness of our algorithm. This result places fixed-strike European-style discretely monitored Asian options in the same complexity class as vanilla options.  相似文献

This paper studies the pricing of Asian options whose payoffs depend on the average value of an underlying asset during the period to a maturity. Since the Asian option is not so sensitive to the value of underlying asset, the possibility of manipulation is relatively small than the other options such as European vanilla and barrier options. We derive the pricing formula of geometric Asian options under the constant elasticity of variance (CEV) model that is one of local volatility models, and investigate the implication of the CEV model for geometric Asian options.  相似文献

Life insurance products have profit sharing features in combination with guarantees. These so-called embedded options are often dependent on or approximated by forward swap rates. In practice, these kinds of options are mostly valued by Monte Carlo simulations. However, for risk management calculations and reporting processes, lots of valuations are needed. Therefore, a more efficient method to value these options would be helpful. In this paper analytical approximations are derived for these kinds of options, based on an underlying multi-factor Gaussian interest rate model. The analytical approximation for options with direct payment is almost exact while the approximation for compounding options is also satisfactory. In addition, the proposed analytical approximation can be used as a control variate in Monte Carlo valuation of options for which no analytical approximation is available, such as similar options with management actions. Furthermore, it’s also possible to construct analytical approximations when returns on additional assets (such as equities) are part of the profit sharing rate.  相似文献

The most widely accepted option pricing model, derived by Black and Scholes (B-S), studies single priced options. Nevertheless, it has important implications for the relative pricing of compound call options. Compound options are two or more option contracts on a given security with different striking prices but with each expiring on the same day.Studying the relative pricing of compound options provides insight into the efficiency of generally accepted option pricing models. Comparing prices of compound options enables us to analyze factors in option pricing that would remain hidden in studies of single options.We are not primarily concerned with efficiency of option pricing, although some of our results may bear on this issue. Our primary concerns are: (1) to determine the implications of the B-S model for compound options and (2) to explain compound option prices by a number of variables, and thus come to conclusions about option pricing generally.We found difficulty with the B-S model when attempting to explain the relative pricing of compound options. Further, from empirical tests, we found that the most important factor in explaining the relative pricing of compound options is the relative degree of leverage which is operative between the various components of a compound option set.  相似文献

This paper concerns American barrier options with two barriers. Standard American Options are difficult to price but there exist good numerical or analytical approximation methods. The situation is different for American barrier options. These options cease to exist or come into being if some price barrier is hit during the option's life. The paper studies analytic valuation of American barrier options with two barriers where the barriers become active by turns. In this paper, analytic valuation formulas for these options are derived by using both constant and exponential barriers for optimal early exercise policies.  相似文献

In this article, two-color partial rainbow options (TCPROs) are proposed. Such options allow holders to choose between the two underlying vanilla options at a specified time before expiry. Examples of benefits of TCPROs to both holders and issuers are given. Pricing formulae for such options are derived. The extra premium due to the choosing feature of a TCPRO, called the price of choice, is a nonnegative decreasing function of the correlation coefficient of the two underlying assets and the remaining time to choose. Numerical results are obtained to show that while TCPROs are more valuable than the underlying vanilla options, their risk parameters such as delta and gamma are smaller.  相似文献

Asian options, basket options and spread options have been extensively studied in the literature. However, few papers deal with the problem of pricing general Asian basket spread options. This paper aims to fill this gap. In order to obtain prices and Greeks in a short computation time, we develop approximation formulae based on comonotonicity theory and moment matching methods. We compare their relative performances and explain how to choose the best approximation technique as a function of the Asian basket spread characteristics. We also give explicitly the Greeks for our proposed methods. In the last section we extend our results to options denominated in foreign currency.  相似文献
