Strategies to compensate material fatigue are among the most challenging issues, being most prominently addressed by the use of nano‐ and microscaled fillers, or via new chemical concepts such as self‐healing materials. A capsule‐based self‐healing material is reported, where the adverse effect of reduced tensile strength due to the embedded capsules is counterbalanced by a graphene‐based filler, the latter additionally acting as a catalyst for the self‐healing reaction. The concept is based on “click”‐based chemistry, a universal methodology to efficiently link components at ambient reaction conditions, thus generating a “reactive glue” at the cracked site. A capsule‐based healing system via a graphene‐based Cu2O (TRGO‐Cu2O‐filler) is used, acting as both the catalytic species for crosslinking and the required reinforcement agent within the material, in turn compensating the reduction in tensile strength exerted by the embedded capsules. Room‐temperature self‐healing within 48 h is achieved, with the investigated specimen containing TRGO‐Cu2O demonstrating significantly faster self‐healing compared to homogeneous (Cu(PPh3)3F, Cu(PPh3)3Br), and heterogeneous (Cu/C) copper(I) catalysts.

Two‐photon microscopy (TPM) has become an indispensible tool in biology and medicine owing to the capability of imaging the intact tissue for a long period of time. To make it a versatile tool in biology, a variety of two‐photon probes for specific applications are needed. In this context, many research groups are developing two‐photon probes for various applications. In this Focus Review, we summarize recent results on model studies and selected examples of two‐photon probes that can detect intracellular free metal ions in live cells and tissues to provide a guideline for the design of useful two‐photon probes for various in vivo imaging applications. 相似文献

CuI‐catalyzed 1,3‐cycloaddition of azides and alkynes (CuAAC) is one of the most powerful synthetic methodologies known. However, its use to prepare well‐defined multimetallic structures is underdeveloped. Apart from the applications of this reaction to anchor different organometallic reagents to surfaces, polymers, and dendrimers, only isolated examples of CuAAC with metal–η1‐alkyne and metal–azide complexes to prepare multimetal entities have been reported. This concept sketches the potential of these reactions not only to prepare “a la carte” multimetal 1,2,3‐triazole derivatives, but also to discover new and unprecedented reactions. 相似文献

Click to detect! Azamacrocyclic complexes with a triazole scorpion ligand may be easily assembled, as shown for a biotin‐functionalised cyclam derivative. Coordination of the triazole to the metal is perturbed by the binding of avidin to the pendant ligand (see scheme). This event can be sensitively detected with EPR and ENDOR spectroscopy, which confirm the loss of the axial triazole nitrogen donor upon avidin binding. This general strategy may have wide applications in imaging and therapeutics.

The development of a novel nucleophilic thio‐bromo “Click” reaction, specifically base‐mediated thioetherification of thioglycerol with α‐bromoesters, is reported. Combination of this thio‐bromo click reaction with subsequent acylation with 2‐bromopropionyl bromide provides an iterative two‐step divergent growth approach to the synthesis of a new class of poly(thioglycerol‐2‐propionate) (PTP) dendrimers. This approach is demonstrated in the rapid preparation of four generation (G1–G4) of PTP dendrimers with high‐structural fidelity. The isolated G1–G4 bromide‐terminated dendrimers can be used directly as dendritic macroinitiators for the synthesis of star‐polymers via SET‐LRP. Additionally, the intermediate hydroxy‐terminated dendrimers are analogs of other water‐soluble polyester and polyether dendrimers. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Hetero‐arm star ABC‐type terpolymers, poly(methyl methacrylate)‐polystyrene‐poly(tert‐butyl acrylate) (PMMA‐PS‐PtBA) and PMMA‐PS‐poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG), were prepared by using “Click” chemistry strategy. For this, first, PMMA‐b‐PS with alkyne functional group at the junction point was obtained from successive atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) and nitroxide‐mediated radical polymerization (NMP) routes. Furthermore, PtBA obtained from ATRP of tBA and commercially available monohydroxyl PEG were efficiently converted to the azide end‐functionalized polymers. As a second step, the alkyne and azide functional polymers were reacted to give the hetero‐arm star polymers in the presence of CuBr/N,N,N′,N″,N″‐pentamethyldiethylenetriamine ( PMDETA) in DMF at room temperature for 24 h. The hetero‐arm star polymers were characterized by 1H NMR, GPC, and DSC. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Polym Sci Part A: Polym Chem 44: 5699–5707, 2006 相似文献

Dendrimers for ion sensing : The synthesis and use of new tris‐alkynyl dendrons are reported. So‐called “click” reactions of the dendrimers described with azidomethylferrocene give 27‐ferrocenyl, 81‐ferrocenyl, and 243‐ferrocenyl dendrimers. Electrochemical recognition of oxo‐anions and Pd2+ cations has been compared using the three polyferrocenyl dendrimers.

The successful chain‐growth copper(I)‐catalyzed azide–alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) polymerization employing Cu(0)/pentamethyldiethylenetriamine (PMDETA) and alkyl halide as catalyst is first investigated by a combination of nuclear magnetic resonance, gel‐permeation chromatography, and matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization time‐of‐flight mass spectrometry. In addition, the electron transfer mediated “click‐radical” concurrent polymerization utilizing Cu(0)/PMDETA as catalyst is successfully employed to generate well‐defined copolymers, where controlled CuAAC polymerization of clickable ester monomer is progressed in the main chain acting as the polymer backbone, the controlled radical polymerization (CRP) of acrylic monomer is carried out in the side chain. Furthermore, it is found that there is strong collaborative effect and compatibility between CRP and CuAAC polymerization to improve the controllability.

Orthometalation at IrIII centers is usually facile, and such orthometalated complexes often display intriguing electronic and catalytic properties. By using a central phenyl ring as C?H activation sites, we present here mono‐ and dinuclear IrIII complexes with “click”‐derived 1,2,3‐triazole and 1,2,3‐triazol‐5‐ylidene ligands, in which the wingtip phenyl groups in the aforementioned ligands are additionally orthometalated and bind as carbanionic donors to the IrIII centers. Structural characterization of the complexes reveal a piano stool‐type of coordination around the metal centers with the “click”‐derived ligands bound either with C^N or C^C donor sets to the IrIII centers. Furthermore, whereas bond localization is observed within the 1,2,3‐triazole ligands, a more delocalized situation is found in their 1,2,3‐triazol‐5‐ylidene counterparts. All complexes were subjected to catalytic tests for the transfer hydrogenation of benzaldehyde and acetophenone. The dinuclear complexes turned out to be more active than their mononuclear counterparts. We present here the first examples of stable, isomer‐pure, dinuclear cyclometalated IrIII complexes with poly‐mesoionic‐carbene ligands. 相似文献

Side‐chain vinyl poly(dimethylsiloxane) has been modified with mercaptopropionic acid, methyl 3‐mercaptopropionate, and mercaptosuccinic acid. Coordinative bonding of EuIII to the functionalized polysiloxanes was then carried out and crosslinked silicone elastomers were prepared by thiol–ene curing reactions of these composites. All these europium complexes could be cast to form transparent, uniform, thin elastomers with good flexibility and thermal stability. The networks were characterized by FTIR, NMR, UV/Vis, and luminescence spectroscopy as well as by scanning electron microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis, and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The europium elastomer luminophores exhibited intense red light at 617 nm under UV excitation at room temperature due to the 5D0→7F2 transition in EuIII ions. The newly synthesized luminescent materials offer many advantages, including the desired mechanical flexibility. They cannot be dissolved or fused, and so they have potential for use in optical and electronic applications. 相似文献

Herein the synthesis, characterization, and organization of a first‐generation dendritic fulleropyrrolidine bearing two pending porphyrins are reported. Both the dendron and the fullerene derivatives were synthesized by CuI‐catalyzed alkyne–azide cycloaddition (CuAAC). The electron‐donor–acceptor conjugate possesses a shape that allows the formation of supramolecular complexes by encapsulation of C60 within the jaws of the two porphyrins of another molecule. The interactions between the two photoactive units (i.e., C60 and Zn–porphyrin) were confirmed by cyclic voltammetry as well as by steady‐state and time‐resolved spectroscopy. For example, a shift of about 85 mV was found for the first reduction of C60 in the electron‐donor–acceptor conjugate compared with the parent molecules, which indicates that C60 is included in the jaws of the porphyrin. The fulleropyrrolidine compound exhibits a rich polymorphism, which was corroborated by AFM and SEM. In particular, it was found to form supramolecular fibrils when deposited on substrates. The morphology of the fibrils suggests that they are formed by several rows of fullerene–porphyrin complexes. 相似文献

Organic functionalization of carbon nanotube sidewalls is a tool of primary importance in material science and nanotechnology, equally from a fundamental and an applicative point of view. 1 , 2 Here, an efficient and versatile approach for the organic/organometallic functionalization of single‐walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) capable of imparting multimodality to these fundamental nanostructures, is described. Our strategy takes advantage of well‐established Cu‐mediated acetylene‐azide coupling (CuAAC) reactions applied to phenylazido‐functionalized SWCNTs for their convenient homo‐/heterodecoration with a number of organic/organometallic frameworks, or mixtures thereof, bearing terminal acetylene pendant arms. Phenylazido‐decorated SWCNTs were prepared by chemoselective arylation of the CNT sidewalls with diazonium salts under mild conditions, and subsequently used for the copper‐mediated cycloaddition protocol in the presence of terminal acetylenes. The latter reaction was performed in one step by using either single acetylene derivatives or equimolar mixtures of terminal alkynes bearing either similar functional groups (masked with orthogonally cleavable protecting groups) or easily distinguishable functionalities (on the basis of complementary analytical/spectroscopic techniques). All materials and intermediates were characterized with respect to their most relevant aspects/properties by TEM microscopy, thermogravimetric analysis coupled with MS analysis of volatiles (TG‐MS), elemental analysis, cyclic voltammetry (CV), Raman and UV/Vis spectroscopy. The functional loading and related chemical grafting of both primary amino‐ and ferrocene‐decorated SWCNTs were spectroscopically (UV/Vis, Kaiser test) and electrochemically (CV) determined, respectively. 相似文献

To better understand the range of cellular interactions of PtII‐based chemotherapeutics, robust and efficient methods to track and analyze Pt targets are needed. A powerful approach is to functionalize PtII compounds with alkyne or azide moieties for post‐treatment conjugation through the azide–alkyne cycloaddition (click) reaction. Herein, we report an alkyne‐appended cis‐diamine PtII compound, cis‐[Pt(2‐(5‐hexynyl)amido‐1,3‐propanediamine)Cl2] ( 1 ), the X‐ray crystal structure of which exhibits a combination of unusual radially distributed CH/π(C?C) interactions, Pt? Pt bonding, and NH:O/NH:Cl hydrogen bonds. In solution, 1 exhibits no Pt? alkyne interactions and binds readily to DNA. Subsequent click reactivity with nonfluorescent dansyl azide results in a 70‐fold fluorescence increase. This result demonstrates the potential for this new class of alkyne‐modified Pt compound for the comprehensive detection and isolation of Pt‐bound biomolecules. 相似文献

Tetrakis(triazolylmethyl)ethylenediamine, which is a class of tetrakis(2‐pyridylmethyl)ethylenediamine (TPEN) analogue, is synthesized by a quadruple click reaction of tetrapropargylated ethylenediamine and four equivalents of alkyl azide. The obtained compound efficiently extracted the soft metal cadmium(II) ions by solvent extraction. It is also found that an N‐isopropylacryl amide (NIPA) gel using the triazole ethylenediamine as a cross‐linker exhibits a temperature‐dependent extraction performance. 相似文献

A “Distorted‐BODIPY”‐Based Fluorescent Probe for Imaging of Cellular Viscosity in Live Cells 下载免费PDF全文

Cellular viscosity is a critical factor in governing diffusion‐mediated cellular processes and is linked to a number of diseases and pathologies. Fluorescent molecular rotors (FMRs) have recently been developed to determine viscosity in solutions or biological fluid. Herein, we report a “distorted‐BODIPY”‐based probe BV‐1 for cellular viscosity, which is different from the conventional “pure rotors”. In BV‐1 , the internal steric hindrance between the meso‐CHO group and the 1,7‐dimethyl group forced the boron–dipyrrin framework to be distorted, which mainly caused nonradiative deactivation in low‐viscosity environment. BV‐1 gave high sensitivity (x=0.62) together with stringent selectivity to viscosity, thus enabling viscosity mapping in live cells. Significantly, the increase of cytoplasmic viscosity during apoptosis was observed by BV‐1 in real time. 相似文献
