Flowerlike noble‐metal‐free γ‐Fe2O3@NiO core–shell hierarchical nanostructures have been fabricated and examined as a catalyst in the photocatalytic oxidation of water with [Ru(bpy)3](ClO4)2 as a photosensitizer and Na2S2O8 as a sacrificial electron acceptor. An apparent TOF of 0.29 μmols?1 m?2 and oxygen yield of 51 % were obtained with γ‐Fe2O3@NiO. The γ‐Fe2O3@NiO core–shell hierarchical nanostructures could be easily separated from the reaction solution whilst maintaining excellent water‐oxidation activity in the fourth and fifth runs. The surface conditions of γ‐Fe2O3@NiO also remained unchanged after the photocatalytic reaction, as confirmed by X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).  相似文献

Millimeter size γ‐Al2O3 beads were prepared by alginate assisted sol–gel method and grafting organic groups with propyl sulfonic acid and alkyl groups as functionalized γ‐Al2O3 bead catalysts for fructose dehydration to 5‐hydroxymethylfurfural (5‐HMF). Experiment results showed that the porous structure of γ‐Al2O3 beads was favorable to the loading and dispersion of active components, and had an obvious effect on the properties of the catalyst. The lower calcination temperature of γ‐Al2O3 beads increased the specific surface area, the hydrophobicity and the activity of catalysts. Competition between the reaction of alkyl groups and ‐SH groups with surface hydroxyl during the preparation process of the catalyst influenced greatly the acid site densities, hydrophobic properties and activity of the catalyst. With an increase in the alkyl group chain, the hydrophobicity of catalysts increased obviously and the activity of the catalyst was enhanced. The most hydrophobic catalyst C16‐SO3H‐γ‐Al2O3–650°C exhibited the highest yield of 5‐HMF (84%) under the following reaction conditions: reaction medium of dimethylsulfoxide/H2O (V/V, 4:1), catalyst amount of 30 mg, temperature of 110°C and reaction time of 4 hr.  相似文献

A facile and efficient strategy for the synthesis of hierarchical yolk–shell microspheres with magnetic Fe3O4 cores and dielectric TiO2 shells has been developed. Various Fe3O4@TiO2 yolk–shell microspheres with different core sizes, interstitial void volumes, and shell thicknesses have been successfully synthesized by controlling the synthetic parameters. Moreover, the microwave absorption properties of these yolk–shell microspheres, such as the complex permittivity and permeability, were investigated. The electromagnetic data demonstrate that the as‐synthesized Fe3O4@TiO2 yolk–shell microspheres exhibit significantly enhanced microwave absorption properties compared with pure Fe3O4 and our previously reported Fe3O4@TiO2 core–shell microspheres, which may result from the unique yolk–shell structure with a large surface area and high porosity, as well as synergistic effects between the functional Fe3O4 cores and TiO2 shells.  相似文献

Pd@CeO2 core–shell nanostructures with a tunable Pd core size, shape, and nanostructure as well as a tunable CeO2 sheath thickness were obtained by a biomolecule‐assisted method. The synthetic process is simple and green, as it involves only the heating of a mixture of Ce(NO3)3, l ‐arginine, and preformed Pd seeds in water without additives. Importantly, the synthesis is free of thiol groups and halide ions, thus providing a possible solution to the problem of secondary pollution by Pd nanoparticles in the sheath‐coating process. The Pd/CeO2 nanostructures can be composited well with γ‐Al2O3 to create a heterogeneous catalyst. In subsequent tests of catalytic NO reduction by CO, Pd@CeO2/Al2O3 samples based on Pd cubes (6, 10, and 18 nm), Pd octahedra (6 nm), and Pd cuboctahedra (9 nm) as well as a simply loaded Pd cube (6 nm)–CeO2/Al2O3 sample were used as catalysts to investigate the effects of the Pd core size and shape and the hybrid nanostructure on the catalytic performance.  相似文献

In this study, we propose a time‐ and energy‐saving method using biodegradable gelatin as a green template and a low‐toxicity inorganic aluminum salt (Al(NO3)3·9H2O) as a low‐cost aluminum source for the preparation of mesoporous alumina (γ‐Al2O3). The effects of pH (pH 8.0–10.0), gelatin to aluminum source ratio (0–1.9), and the hydrothermal treatment time (0–72 h) are thoroughly explored. The gelatin can assemble with the aluminum species γ‐AlOOH via hydrogen bonding to prevent the self‐condensation of the γ‐AlOOH during the hydrothermal treatment. Distinctly, the mesoporous γ‐Al2O3 was obtained from the calcination of the resulting gelatin–γ‐AlOOH composites. Without gelatin, high‐crystallinity γ‐AlOOH formed after the hydrothermal treatment, which transformed into the nonporous γ‐Al2O3 with a small surface area (20 m2/g). Finally, it was found that with a gelatin/aluminum ratio of 0.81, reaction pH value of 8.0, and hydrothermal treatment time of 24 h, high‐surface‐area mesoporous γ‐Al2O3 (262 m2/g) with pore diameter of 6.3 nm could be synthesized.  相似文献

Robust nitrogen‐enriched Fe3O4@carbon nanospheres have been fabricated as a catalyst scaffold for Pt nanoparticles. In this work, core–shell Fe3O4@3‐aminophenol/formaldehyde (APF) nanocomposites were first synthesized by a simple hydrothermal method, and subsequently carbonized to Fe3O4@N‐Carbon nanospheres for in situ growth of Pt nanocrystals. Abundant amine groups were distributed uniformly onto Fe3O4@N‐Carbon nanospheres, which not only improved the dispersity and stability of the Pt nanocrystals, but also endowed the Pt‐based catalysts with good compatibility in organic solvents. The dense three‐dimensional cross‐linked carbon shell protects the Fe3O4 cores against damage from harsh chemical environments, even in aqueous HCl (up to 1.0 m ) or NaOH (up to 1.0 m ) solutions under ultrasonication for 24 hours, which indicates that it can be used as a robust catalyst scaffold. In the reduction of nitrobenzene compounds, the Fe3O4@N‐Carbon@Pt nanocatalysts show outstanding catalytic activity, stability, and recoverability.  相似文献

The catalytic aerobic oxidation of alkylarenes catalyzed by cobalt supported on a highly crystalline γ‐Al2O3 support (Co/Al2O3 nanocatalyst) is reported. The catalyst was prepared by a co‐precipitation method and characterized using scanning and high‐resolution transmission electron microscopies, energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, X‐ray diffraction and surface area measurements. A wide range of alkylarenes were converted to corresponding ketones. The catalyst can be recovered by simple filtration is recyclable for up to six consecutive runs.  相似文献

An efficient strategy (enhanced metal oxide interaction and core–shell confinement to inhibit the sintering of noble metal) is presented confined ultrathin Pd‐CeOx nanowire (2.4 nm) catalysts for methane combustion, which enable CH4 total oxidation at a low temperature of 350 °C, much lower than that of a commercial Pd/Al2O3 catalyst (425 °C). Importantly, unexpected stability was observed even under harsh conditions (800 °C, water vapor, and SO2), owing to the confinement and shielding effect of the porous silica shell together with the promotion of CeO2. Pd‐CeOx solid solution nanowires (Pd‐Ce NW) as cores and porous silica as shells (Pd‐CeNW@SiO2) were rationally prepared by a facile and direct self‐assembly strategy for the first time. This strategy is expected to inspire more active and stable catalysts for use under severe conditions (vehicle emissions control, reforming, and water–gas shift reaction).  相似文献

To enhance the catalytic activity in a selective one‐pot oxidation using in‐situ generated H2O2, a hydrophobically modified core–shell catalyst was synthesized by means of a simple silylation reaction using the fluorine‐containing silylation agent triethoxyfluorosilane (TEFS, SiF(OEt)3). The catalyst consisted of a Pd‐supported silica nanosphere and a mesoporous silica shell containing isolated TiIV and F ions bonded with silicon (Si?F bond). Structural analyses using XRD and N2 adsorption–desorption suggested that the mesoporous structure and large surface area of the mesoporous shells were retained even after the modification. During the one‐pot oxidation of sulfide, catalytic activity was enhanced significantly by increasing the amount of fluorine in the shell. A hydrophobic surface enhanced adsorption of the hydrophobic reactant into the mesopore, while the less hydrophobic oxygenated products efficiently diffused into the outside of the shell, which improved the catalytic activity and selectivity. In addition, the present methodology can be used to enhance the catalytic activity and selectivity in the one‐pot oxidation of cyclohexane by using an Fe‐based core–shell catalytic system.  相似文献

The effects of the addition of ceria and zirconia on the structural properties of supported rhodium catalysts (1.6 and 4 wt % Rh/γ‐Al2O3) are studied. Ceria and zirconia are deposited by using two preparation methods. Method I involves the deposition of ceria on γ‐Al2O3 from Ce(acac)3, and the rhodium metal is subsequently added, whereas method II is based on a controlled surface reaction technique, that is, the decomposition of metal–organic M(acac)x (in which M=Ce, x=3 and M=Zr, x=4) on Rh/γ‐Al2O3. The structures of the prepared catalyst materials are characterized ex situ by using N2 physisorption, transmission electron microscopy, high‐angle annular dark‐field scanning transmission election microscopy, energy‐dispersive X‐ray spectroscopy, X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and X‐ray absorption fine structure spectroscopy (XAFS). All supported rhodium systems readily oxidize in air at room temperature. By using ceriated and zirconiated precursors, a larger rhodium‐based metallic core fraction is obtained in comparison to the undoped rhodium catalysts, suggesting that ceria and zirconia protect the rhodium particles against extensive oxidation. XPS results indicate that after the calcination and reduction treatments, a small amount of chlorine is retained on the support of all rhodium catalysts. EXAFS analysis shows significant Rh? Cl interactions for Rh/Al2O3 and Rh/CeOx/Al2O3 (method I) catalysts. After reaction with H2/He in situ, for series of samples with 1.6 wt % Rh, the EXAFS first shell analysis affords a mean size of approximately 30 atoms. A broader spread is evident with a 4 wt % rhodium loading (ca. 30–110 atoms), with the incorporation of zirconium providing the largest particle sizes.  相似文献

In the present study, Fe2+ and Ni2+ immobilized on hydroxyapatite‐core‐shell γ‐Fe2O3 (γ‐Fe2O3@HAp‐Fe2+ and γ‐Fe2O3@HAp‐Ni2+) with a high surface area has been synthesized and characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), and scanning electron microscope (SEM) techniques. Then, γ‐Fe2O3@HAp‐Fe2+ and γ‐Fe2O3@HAp‐Ni2+ were used as a new and magnetically recoverable nano catalyst for the selective oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides with 33% aqueous H2O2 (0.5 mL) as an oxidant at room temperature in good to excellent yields and short reaction time. Nontoxicity of reagent, mild reaction condition, inexpensive and high catalytic activity, simple experimental procedure, short period of conversion and excellent yields, and ease of recovery from the reaction mixture using an external magnet are the advantages of the present method.  相似文献

Quasi‐aligned cylindrical and conical core–shell nanofibers consisting of carbon shells and TiO2 nanowire cores are produced in situ on Ti foils without using a foreign metallic catalyst and template. A cylindrical nanofiber has a TiO2 nanowire core 30–50 nm in diameter and a 5–10 nm‐thick cylindrical carbon shell, while in the conical nanostructure the TiO2 nanowire core has a diameter of 20–40 nm and the thickness of the carbon shell varies from about 200 nm at the bottom to about 5 nm at the tip. Electrochemical analysis reveals well‐defined redox peaks of the [Fe(CN)6]3?/4? redox couple and heterogeneous charge‐transfer rate constants of 0.010 and 0.062 cm s?1 for the cylindrical and conical nanofibers, respectively. The coverage of exposed edge planes on the cylindrical and conical carbon shells is estimated to be 2.5 and 15.5 % respectively. The more abundant exposed edge planes on the conical nanofiber decrease the overpotential and increase the voltammetric resolution during electrochemical detection of uric acid and ascorbic acid. Our results suggest that the density of edge‐plane sites estimated from Raman scattering is not necessarily equal to the density of exposed edge‐plane sites, and only carbon electrodes with a large density of exposed edge planes or free graphene sheet ends exhibit better electrochemical performance.  相似文献

A surfactant-free aqueous solution route has been established for the synthesis of LaF3:Ln3+/LaF3 core/shell nanocrystals (Ln=Ce, Tb, Nd) heated at 75 °C at ambient pressure. All the as-prepared nanocrystals with spherical shape have an average size around 20 nm, and consist of well crystallized hexagonal phases. The X-ray photoelectron spectra was used to confirm that the LaF3 shells have coated the LaF3:Ce3+, Tb3+ cores. Compared with that of the original cores under the same conditions, the emission intensity of the LaF3:Ce3+, Tb3+/LaF3 and LaF3:Nd3+/LaF3 core/shell nanocrystals increased significantly of 120% and 60%, respectively. The quantum yield of the LaF3:Ce3+, Tb3+/LaF3 core/shell nanocrystals reached about 27% in aqueous solution. These results indicate that a significant reduction of the quenching from the surface of the core nanocrystals can be obtained by the synthesis of the core/shell structures, and this method can provide more desirable lanthanide-doped nanocrystals for potential biological applications.  相似文献

Carbonyl iron powders were coated with iron phosphate using phosphating method and boehmite (γ‐AlOOH) or silicon hydroxide (Si(OH)4) nanoparticles derived from the hydrolysis of tri‐sec‐butoxide (Al(OC4H9)3) or tetramethylsilane (Si(OCH3)4) using sol–gel method. The coated powders were dried and calcined at 400 °C for 3 h in air. Cross‐section morphology of coated carbonyl iron powders were investigated by scanning electron microscopy energy dispersive X‐ray analysis. Coated Fe micro‐particles were spherical in shape with ‘shell/core’ structures. The shells consisted of an amorphous layer with varying thickness (100–800 nm) and the core represented a carbonyl iron. Gelatinous morphology of dried FePO4 coating composed from nanoparticles of iron oxyhydroxides and hydrated iron phosphate with a shell thickness of ~100 nm around iron particles was observed. In coatings based on alumina or silica xerogels with a thickness of ~100–150 nm or ~200–500 nm, the coatings were composed of iron oxyhydroxides and γ‐AlOOH or Si(OH)4. The resulting XRD diffractograms revealed the hematite (α‐Fe2O3) and magnetite (Fe3O4) that were formed in phosphated and sol–gel coated iron powders. The X‐ray diffraction patterns did not verify the presence of phosphates, alumina or silica and indicate the amorphous or nanocrystalline structure of FePO4, γ‐Al2O3 and SiO2. A facile strategy is reported for the fabrication of Pt‐loaded core–shell nanocomposite ellipsoids (Fe2O3‐Pt@DSL) consisting of ellipsoidal Fe2O3 cores, double‐layered La2O3 shells and deposited Pt nanoparticles (NPs). The formation of the doubled‐shelled structure uses Fe2O3‐Pt@mSiO2 as template sacrificial agent and it involves the re‐deposition of silica and self‐assembly of metal oxide units. The preparation methods of double‐shelled metal oxides avoid repeated coating and etching and could be utilized to fabricate other shaped double‐shelled composites. Characterization results indicated that the Fe2O3‐Pt@DSL nanocomposites possessed mesoporous structure and tunable shell thickness. Moreover, due to the formation of Fe2O3 and La2O3 composites, Pt NPs can also be stabilized via deposition on chemically active oxides with a synergistic effect. Therefore, as a catalyst for the reduction of 4‐nitrophenol, Fe2O3‐Pt@DSL showed superior catalytic activity and reusability due to structural superiority and enhanced composite synergy. Finally, well‐dispersed Pt NPs were encapsulated into the void between the shell layers to construct the Fe2O3‐Pt@DSL‐Pt catalyst.  相似文献

A new iron‐based catalyst for carbon monoxide oxidation, as a potential substitute for precious‐metal systems, has been prepared by using a facile impregnation method with iron tris‐acetylacetonate as a precursor on γ‐Al2O3. Light‐off and full conversion temperatures as low as 235 and 278 °C can be reached. However, the catalytic activity strongly depends on the loading; lower loadings perform better than higher ones. The different activities can be explained by variations of the structures formed. The structures are thoroughly characterized by a multimethodic approach by using X‐ray diffraction, Brunauer–Emmett–Teller surface areas, and Mössbauer spectroscopy combined with diffuse reflectance UV/Vis and X‐ray absorption spectroscopy. Consequently, isolated tetrahedrally coordinated Fe3+ centers and phases of AlFeO3 are identified as structural requirements for high activity in the oxidation of carbon monoxide.  相似文献

Dimethyldichlorosilane, one of the most consumed organosilicon monomers in the industry, can be prepared in a highly efficient and environmentally friendly synthesis method of disproportionating methylchlorosilanes. However, the internal mechanism of the reaction remains unclear. In this paper, the mechanism catalyzed by AlCl3/MIL‐53(Al) and AlCl3/MIL‐53(Al)@γ‐Al2O3 catalysts was calculated at B3LYP/6‐311++G(3df, 2pd) level by using the density functional theory (DFT). The results showed that although the two catalysts had similar active structures, the catalytic effects were significantly different. The Lewis acid center on the surface of γ‐Al2O3 in the core‐shell catalyst is complementary to the classic Lewis acid AlCl3 through the spatial superposition effect, which greatly improves the Lewis acid catalytic activity of AlCl3/MIL‐53(Al)@γ‐Al2O3.  相似文献

Only rarely have polyoxometalates been found to form core–shell nanoclusters. Here, we succeeded in isolating a series of rare giant and all-inorganic core–shell cobalt polyoxoniobates (Co−PONbs) with diverse shapes, nuclearities and original topologies, including 50-nuclearity {Co12Nb38O132}, 54-nuclearity {Co20Nb34O128}, 62-nuclearity {Co26Nb36O140} and 87-nuclearity {Co33Nb54O188}. They are the largest Co−PONbs and also the polyoxometalates containing the greatest number of Co ions and the largest cobalt clusters known thus far. These molecular Co−PONbs have intriguing and atomically precise core–shell architectures comprising unique cobalt oxide cores and niobate oxide shells. In particular, the encapsulated cobalt oxide cores with different nuclearities have identical compositions, structures and mixed-valence Co3+/Co2+ states as the different sized Co−O moieties of the bulk cubic-spinel Co3O4, suggesting that they can serve as various molecular models of the cubic-spinel Co3O4. The successful construction of the series of the Co−PONbs reveals a feasible and versatile synthetic method for making rare core–shell heterometallic PONbs. Further, these new-type core–shell bimetal species are promising cluster molecular catalysts for visible-light-driven CO2 reduction.  相似文献

A simple, efficient and eco‐friendly procedure has been developed using Cu(II) immobilized on guanidinated epibromohydrin‐functionalized γ‐Fe2O3@TiO2 (γ‐Fe2O3@TiO2‐EG‐Cu(II)) for the synthesis of 2,4,5‐trisubstituted and 1,2,4,5‐tetrasubstituted imidazoles, via the condensation reactions of various aldehydes with benzil and ammonium acetate or ammonium acetate and amines, under solvent‐free conditions. High‐resolution transmission electron microscopy analysis of this catalyst clearly affirmed the formation of a γ‐Fe2O3 core and a TiO2 shell, with mean sizes of about 10–20 and 5–10 nm, respectively. These data were in very good agreement with X‐ray crystallographic measurements (13 and 7 nm). Moreover, magnetization measurements revealed that both γ‐Fe2O3@TiO2 and γ‐Fe2O3@TiO2‐EG‐Cu(II) had superparamagnetic behaviour with saturation magnetization of 23.79 and 22.12 emu g?1, respectively. γ‐Fe2O3@TiO2‐EG‐Cu(II) was found to be a green and highly efficient nanocatalyst, which could be easily handled, recovered and reused several times without significant loss of its activity. The scope of the presented methodology is quite broad; a variety of aldehydes as well as amines have been shown to be viable substrates. A mechanism for the cyclocondensation reaction has also been proposed.  相似文献

Nano n‐propylsulfonated γ‐Al2O3 is easily prepared by the reaction of nano γ‐Al2O3 with 1,3‐propanesultone. This reagent can be used as an efficient catalyst for the synthesis of spiro [indoline‐3,4‐pyrazolo[3,4‐e][1,4]thiazepine]diones in aqueous media. This new method consistently has the advantages of excellent yields and short reaction times. Further, the catalyst can be reused and recovered several times.
