Reactions of a range of the readily prepared and sterically tunable N,N'-bis(aryl)formamidines with lanthanoid metals and bis(pentafluorophenyl)mercury (Hg(C6F5)2) in THF have given an extensive series of tris(formamidinato)lanthanoid(III) complexes, [Ln(Form)3(thf)n], namely [La(o-TolForm)3(thf)2], [Er(o-TolForm)3(thf)], [La(XylForm)3(thf)], [Sm(XylForm)3], [Ln(MesForm)3] (Ln=La, Nd, Sm and Yb), [Ln(EtForm)3] (Ln=La, Nd, Sm, Ho and Yb), and [Ln(o-PhPhForm)3] (Ln=La, Nd, Sm and Er). [For an explanation of the N,N'-bis(aryl)formamidinate abbreviations used see Scheme 1.] Analogous attempts to prepare [Yb(o-TolForm)3] by this method invariably yielded [{Yb(o-TolForm)2(mu-OH)(thf)}2], but [Yb(o-TolForm)3] was isolated from a metathesis synthesis. X-ray crystal structures show exclusively N,N'-chelation of the Form ligands and a gradation in coordination number with Ln3+ size and with Form ligand bulk. The largest ligands, MesForm, EtForm and o-PhPhForm give solely homoleptic complexes, the first two being six-coordinate, the last having an eta1-pi-Ar--Ln interaction. Reaction of lanthanoid elements and Hg(C6F5)2 with the still bulkier DippFormH in THF resulted in C--F activation and formation of [Ln(DippForm)2F(thf)] (Ln=La, Ce, Nd, Sm and Tm) complexes, and o-HC6F4O(CH2)4DippForm in which the formamidine is functionalised by a ring-opened THF that has trapped tetrafluorobenzyne. Analogous reactions between Ln metals, Hg(o-HC6F4)2 and DippFormH yielded [Ln(DippForm)2F(thf)] (Ln=La, Sm and Nd) and 3,4,5-F3C6H2O(CH2)4DippForm. X-ray crystal structures of the heteroleptic fluorides show six-coordinate monomers with two chelating DippForm ligands and cisoid fluoride and THF ligands in a trigonal prismatic array. The organometallic species [Ln(DippForm)2(C[triple chemical bond]CPh)(thf)] (Ln=Nd or Sm) are obtained from reaction of Nd metal, bis(phenylethynyl)mercury (Hg(C[triple chemical bond]CPh)2) and DippFormH, and the oxidation of [Sm(DippForm)2(thf)2] with Hg(C[triple chemical bond]CPh)2, respectively. The monomeric, six-coordinate, cisoid [Ln(DippForm)2(C[triple chemical bond]CPh)(thf)] complexes have trigonal prismatic geometries and rare (for Ln) terminal C[triple chemical bond]CPh groups with contrasting Ln--C[triple chemical bond]C angles (Ln=Nd, 170.9(4) degrees; Ln=Sm, 142.9(7) degrees). Their formation lends support to the view that [Ln(DippForm)2F(thf)] complexes arise from oxidative formation and C--F activation of [Ln(DippForm)2(C6F5)] intermediates.  相似文献

Treatment of N,N′‐bis(aryl)formamidines (ArFormH), N,N′‐bis(2,6‐difluorophenyl)formamidine (DFFormH) or N,N′‐bis(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)formamidine (DippFormH), with europium metal in CH3CN is an efficient synthesis of the divalent complexes: [{Eu(DFForm)2(CH3CN)2}2] ( Eu1 ) or [Eu(DippForm)2(CH3CN)4] ( Eu2 ). The synthetic method was extended to ytterbium, but the metal required activation by addition of Hg0. With DFFormH in CH3CN, [{Yb(DFForm)2(CH3CN)}2] ( Yb1 ) was obtained in good yield, and [Yb(DFForm)2(thf)3] ( Yb3 ) was obtained from a synthesis in CH3CN/THF. Thus, this synthetic method completely circumvents the use of either salt metathesis, or redox transmetallation/protolysis (RTP) protocols to prepare divalent rare‐earth formamidinates. Heating Yb1 in PhMe/C6D6 resulted in decomposition to trivalent products, including one from a CH3CN activation process. For a synthetic comparison, divalent ytterbium DFForm and DippForm complexes were synthesised by RTP reactions between Yb0, Hg(R)2 (R=Ph, C6F5), and ArFormH in THF, leading to the isolation of either [Yb(DFForm)2(thf)3] ( Yb3 ), or the first five coordinate rare‐earth formamidinate complex [Yb(DippForm)2(thf)] ( Yb4 b ), and, from adjustment of the stoichiometry, trivalent [Yb(DFForm)3(thf)] ( Yb6 ). Oxidation of Yb3 with benzophenone (bp), or halogenating agents (TiCl4(thf)2, Ph3CCl, C2Cl6) gave [Yb(DFForm)3(bp)] or [Yb(DFForm)2Cl(thf)2], respectively. Furthermore, the structural chemistry of divalent ArForm complexes has been substantially broadened. Not only have the highest and lowest coordination numbers for divalent rare‐earth ArForm complexes been achieved in Eu2 and Yb4 b , respectively, but also dimeric Eu1 and Yb1 have highly unusual ArForm bridging coordination modes, either perpendicular μ‐1κ(N:N′):2κ(N:N′) in Eu1 , or the twisted μ‐1κ(N:N′):2κ(N′:F′) DFForm coordination in Yb1 , both unprecedented in divalent rare‐earth ArForm chemistry and in the wider divalent rare‐earth amidinate field.  相似文献

The tris(2,4‐dimethylpentadienyl) complexes [Ln(η5‐Me2C5H5)3] (Ln = Nd, La, Y) are obtained analytically pure by reaction of the tribromides LnBr3·nTHF with the potassium compound K(Me2C5H5)(thf)n in THF in good yields. The structural characterization is carried out by X‐ray crystal structure analysis and NMR‐spectroscopically. The tris complexes can be transformed into the dimeric bis(2,4‐dimethylpentadienyl) complexes [Ln2(η5‐Me2C5H5)4X2] (Ln, X: Nd, Cl, Br, I; La, Br, I; Y, Br) by reaction with the trihalides THF solvates in the molar ratio 2:1 in toluene. Structure and bonding conditions are determined for selected compounds by X‐ray crystal structure analysis and NMR‐spectroscopically in general. The dimer‐monomer equilibrium existing in solution was investigated NMR‐spectroscopically in dependence of the donor strength of the solvent and could be established also by preparation of the corresponding monomer neutral ligand complexes [Ln(η5‐Me2C5H5)2X(L)] (Ln, X, L: Nd, Br, py; La, Cl, thf; Br, py; Y, Br, thf). Finally the possibilities for preparation of mono(2,4‐dimethylpentadienyl)lanthanoid(III)‐dibromid complexes are shown and the hexameric structure of the lanthanum complex [La6(η5‐Me2C5H5)6Br12(thf)4] is proved by X‐ray crystal structure analysis.  相似文献

A series of NCO/NCS pincer precursors, 3‐(Ar2OCH2)‐2‐Br‐(Ar1N?CH)C6H3 ((Ar1NCOAr2)Br, 3a , 3b , 3c , 3d ) and 3‐(2,6‐Me2C6H3SCH2)‐2‐Br‐(Ar1N?CH)C6H3 ((Ar1NCSMe)Br, 4a and 4b ) were synthesized and characterized. The reactions of [Ar1NCOAr2]Br/ [Ar1NCSMe]Br with nBuLi and the subsequent addition of the rare‐earth‐metal chlorides afforded their corresponding rare‐earth‐metal–pincer complexes, that is, [(Ar1NCOAr2)YCl2(thf)2] ( 5a , 5b , 5c , 5d ), [(Ar1NCOAr2)LuCl2(thf)2] ( 6a , 6d ), [(Ar1NCOAr2)GdCl2(thf)2] ( 7 ), [{(Ar1NCSMe)Y(μ‐Cl)}2{(μ‐Cl)Li(thf)2(μ‐Cl)}2] ( 8 , 9 ), and [{(Ar1NCSMe)Gd(μ‐Cl)}2{(μ‐Cl)Li(thf)2(μ‐Cl)}2] ( 10 , 11 ). These diamagnetic complexes were characterized by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and the molecular structures of compounds 5a , 6a , 7 , and 10 were well‐established by X‐ray diffraction analysis. In compounds 5a , 6a , and 7 , all of the metal centers adopted distorted pentagonal bipyramidal geometries with the NCO donors and two oxygen atoms from the coordinated THF molecules in equatorial positions and the two chlorine atoms in apical positions. Complex 10 is a dimer in which the two equal moieties are linked by two chlorine atoms and two Cl? Li? Cl bridges. In each part, the gadolinium atom adopts a distorted pentagonal bipyramidal geometry. Activated with alkylaluminum and borate, the gadolinium and yttrium complexes showed various activities towards the polymerization of isoprene, thereby affording highly cis‐1,4‐selective polyisoprene, whilst the NCO? lutetium complexes were inert under the same conditions.  相似文献

Thiomethylmercury chlorides 2 Hg(CH2SMe)Cl · HgCl2 and Hg(CH2SPh)Cl react with magnesium in thf to give the Grignard compounds Mg(CH2SR)Cl (R = Me ( 1 ), Ph ( 2 )) in nearly quantitative yields. From thf/n‐hexane solutions of 2 precipitate at –40 °C colorless crystals of the composition Mg(CH2SPh)Cl · 3.5 thf ( 2 ′). X‐ray structure determination revealed, that the unit cell contains separated molecules of [Mg(CH2SPh)2(thf)3] and [MgCl2(thf)4]. In the [Mg(CH2SPh)2(thf)3] molecules magnesium is distorted trigonal‐bipyramidally coordinate. Two PhSCH2 and one thf ligand occupy the equatorial positions and two further thf ligands the apical ones. In the [MgCl2(thf)4] molecules Mg displays an octahedral coordination with chloro ligands in mutual trans position. Temperature dependent NMR measurements of 2 reveal that in thf the Schlenk equilibrium operates; the composition of the equilibrium mixture at room temperature was estimated to be 89% Mg(CH2SPh)Cl and 11% Mg(CH2SPh)2.  相似文献

Complexes of the Alkali Metal Tetraphenylborates with Macrocyclic Crown Ethers Alkali metal tetraphenylborates, MB(C6H5)4 (M = Li to Cs), react in tetrahydrofuran with macrocyclic crown ethers to give complexes of the general formula MB(C6H5)4(crown)m(THF)n. Suitable single crystals for X‐ray structure analysis were grown from a solvent mixture of tetrahydrofuran and n‐hexane. The salt like complexes [Li(12‐crown‐4)(thf)][B(C6H5)4] ( 1 ), [Na(15‐crown‐5)(thf)][B(C6H5)4] ( 2 ), and [Cs(18‐crown‐6)2][B(C6H5)4] · THF ( 6 ), the mononuclear molecular complexes [KB(C6H5)4(18‐crown‐6)(thf)] ( 3 ), [RbB(C6H5)4(18‐crown‐6)] ( 4 ), and [CsB(C6H5)4(18‐crown‐6)] · THF ( 5 ), and the compound [CsB(C6H5)4(18‐crown‐6)]2[Cs(18‐crown‐6)2][B(C6H5)4] ( 7 ), which contains a binuclear molecule ([CsB(C6H5)4(18‐crown‐6)]2) beside a [Cs(18‐crown‐6)2]+ cation and a [B(C6H5)4]? anion, are described. All compounds are charactarized by infrared spectra, elemental analysis, NMR‐spectroscopy, and X‐ray single crystal structure analysis.  相似文献

Tetraaqua(18‐crown‐6)cerium(III) hexacyanoferrate(III) dihydrate, [Ce(C12H24O6)(H2O)4][Fe(CN)6]·2H2O, and tetraaqua(18‐crown‐6)neodymium(III) hexacyanoferrate(III) dihydrate, [Nd(C12H24O6)(H2O)4][Fe(CN)6]·2H2O, are isomorphous and isostructural in the C2/c space group, where the cations, which contain ten‐coordinate lanthanoid centres, lie across twofold rotation axes and the anions lie across inversion centres. In these compounds, an extensive series of O—H...O and O—H...N hydrogen bonds links the components into a continuous three‐dimensional framework. Triaqua(18‐crown‐6)lanthanoid(III) hexacyanoferrate(III) dihydrate, [Ln(C12H24O6)(H2O)3][Fe(CN)6]·2H2O, where Ln = Sm, Eu, Gd or Tb, are all isomorphous and isostructural in the P space group, as are triaqua(18‐crown‐6)gadolinium(III) hexacyanochromate(III) dihydrate, [Gd(C12H24O6)(H2O)3][Cr(CN)6]·2H2O, and triaqua(18‐crown‐6)gadolinium(III) hexacyanocobaltate(III) dihydrate, [Gd(C12H24O6)(H2O)3][Co(CN)6]·2H2O. In these compounds, there are two independent anions, both lying across inversion centres, and the lanthanoid centres exhibit nine‐coordination; in the crystal structures, an extensive series of hydrogen bonds links the components into a three‐dimensional framework.  相似文献

The reaction of [(DippForm)2Ln(thf)2] with an excess of elemental sulfur in toluene resulted in the formation of the trinuclear polysulfide coordination clusters [(DippForm)3Ln3S12] (Ln=Sm, Yb; DippForm=N,N′‐bis(2,6‐diisopropylphenyl)formamidinate). These are the first f element coordination clusters (LnnSx) with a larger polysulfide unit (n and x>2). The formation of the coordination clusters can be rationalized by the reductive cleavage of S8 with divalent lanthanides.  相似文献

The action of moisture on the homoleptic organoplatinum(II) compound [NBu4]2[Pt(CF3)4] ( 1 ) gives rise to the carbonyl derivative [NBu4][Pt(CF3)3(CO)] ( 2 ), which is itself moisture stable. However, treatment of compound 2 with HCl(aq) results in the formation of [NBu4][cis‐Pt(CF3)2Cl(CO)] ( 3 ), which undergoes degradation of an additional CF3 group by further treatment with HCl(aq) in large excess, affording [NBu4][cis‐Pt(CF3)Cl2(CO)] ( 4 ). The carbonyl derivatives 2 – 4 are fairly stable species, in which the CO ligand, however, can be readily extruded by reaction with trimethylamine N‐oxide (ONMe3). Thus, compound 2 reacts with ONMe3 in the presence of a number of neutral or anionic ligands affording a series of singly or doubly charged derivatives with the general formulae [NBu4][Pt(CF3)3(L)] [L=CNtBu ( 5 ), PPh3 ( 6 ), P(o‐tolyl)3 ( 7 ), tht ( 8 ; tht=tetrahydrothiophene)] and [NBu4]2[Pt(CF3)3X] [X=Cl ( 9 ), Br ( 10 ), I ( 11 )], respectively. Compound 2 also reacts with ONMe3 and pyridin‐2‐thiol (C5H5NS) giving rise to the five‐membered metallacyclic derivative [NBu4][Pt(CF3)2(CF2NC5H4S‐κCS)] ( 12 ), which can be viewed as a difluorocarbene species stabilized by intramolecular base coordination. On the other hand, treatment of compound 3 with ONMe3 in the presence of C5H5NS yields the four‐membered metallacyclic compound [NBu4][Pt(CF3)2(NC5H4S‐κNS)] ( 13 ). The geometries of the metallacycles in compounds 12 and 13 are compared. In the absence of any additional ligand, compound 3 undergoes dimerization producing the dinuclear species [NBu4]2[{Pt(CF3)2}2(μ‐Cl)2] ( 14 ). Halide abstraction in the latter compound with AgClO4 in THF yields the solvento compound cis‐[Pt(CF3)2(thf)2] ( 15 ). The highly labile character of the THF ligands in compound 15 makes this species a convenient synthon of the “cis‐Pt(CF3)2” unit.  相似文献

Oxidative addition of aryl bromides to 12‐electron [Rh(PiBu3)2][BArF4] (ArF=3,5‐(CF3)2C6H3) forms a variety of products. With p‐tolyl bromides, RhIII dimeric complexes result [Rh(PiBu3)2(o/p‐MeC6H4)(μ‐Br)]2[BArF4]2. Similarly, reaction with p‐ClC6H4Br gives [Rh(PiBu3)2(p‐ClC6H4)(μ‐Br)]2[BArF4]2. In contrast, the use of o‐BrC6H4Me leads to a product in which toluene has been eliminated and an isobutyl phosphine has undergone C? H activation: [Rh{PiBu2(CH2CHCH3C H2)}(PiBu3)(μ‐Br)]2[BArF4]2. Trapping experiments with ortho‐bromo anisole or ortho‐bromo thioanisole indicate that a possible intermediate for this process is a low‐coordinate RhIII complex that then undergoes C? H activation. The anisole and thioanisole complexes have been isolated and their structures show OMe or SMe interactions with the metal centre alongside supporting agostic interactions, [Rh(PiBu3)2(C6H4O Me)Br][BArF4] (the solid‐state structure of the 5‐methyl substituted analogue is reported) and [Rh(PiBu3)2(C6H4S Me)Br][BArF4]. The anisole‐derived complex proceeds to give [Rh{PiBu2(CH2CHCH3C H2)}(PiBu3)(μ‐Br)]2[BArF4]2, whereas the thioanisole complex is unreactive. The isolation of [Rh(PiBu3)2(C6H4O Me)Br][BArF4] and its onward reactivity to give the products of C? H activation and aryl elimination suggest that it is implicated on the pathway of a σ‐bond metathesis reaction, a hypothesis strengthened by DFT calculations. Calculations also suggest that C? H bond cleavage through phosphine‐assisted deprotonation of a non‐agostic bond is also competitive, although the subsequent protonation of the aryl ligand is too high in energy to account for product formation. C? H activation through oxidative addition is also ruled out on the basis of these calculations. These new complexes have been characterised by solution NMR/ESIMS techniques and in the solid‐state by X‐ray crystallography.  相似文献

A series of new titanium(IV) complexes with o‐metalated arylimine and/or cis‐9,10‐dihydrophenanthrenediamide ligands, [o‐C6H4(CH?NR)TiCl3] (R=2,6‐iPr2C6H3 ( 3 a ), 2,6‐Me2C6H3 ( 3 b ), tBu ( 3 c )), [cis‐9,10‐PhenH2(NR)2TiCl2] (PhenH2=9,10‐dihydrophenanthrene; R=2,6‐iPr2C6H3 ( 4 a ), 2,6‐Me2C6H3 ( 4 b ), tBu ( 4 c )), [{cis‐9,10‐PhenH2(NR)2}{o‐C6H4(HC?NR)}TiCl] (R=2,6‐iPr2C6H3 ( 5 a ), 2,6‐Me2C6H3 ( 5 b ), tBu ( 5 c )), have been synthesised from the reactions of TiCl4 with o‐C6H4(CH?NR)Li (R=2,6‐iPr2C6H3, 2,6‐Me2C6H3, tBu). Complexes 4 and 5 were formed unexpectedly from the reactions of TiCl4 with two or three equivalents of the corresponding o‐C6H4(CH?NR)Li followed by sequential intramolecular C? C bond‐forming reductive elimination and oxidative coupling reactions. Attempts to isolate the intermediates, [{o‐C6H4(CH?NR)}2TiCl2] ( 2 ), were unsuccessful. All complexes were characterised by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy, and the molecular structures of 3 a , 4 a – c , 5 a , and 5 c were determined by X‐ray crystallography.  相似文献

A series of rare‐earth‐metal–hydrocarbyl complexes bearing N‐type functionalized cyclopentadienyl (Cp) and fluorenyl (Flu) ligands were facilely synthesized. Treatment of [Y(CH2SiMe3)3(thf)2] with equimolar amount of the electron‐donating aminophenyl‐Cp ligand C5Me4H‐C6H4o‐NMe2 afforded the corresponding binuclear monoalkyl complex [({C5Me4‐C6H4o‐NMe(μ‐CH2)}Y{CH2SiMe3})2] ( 1 a ) via alkyl abstraction and C? H activation of the NMe2 group. The lutetium bis(allyl) complex [(C5Me4‐C6H4o‐NMe2)Lu(η3‐C3H5)2] ( 2 b ), which contained an electron‐donating aminophenyl‐Cp ligand, was isolated from the sequential metathesis reactions of LuCl3 with (C5Me4‐C6H4o‐NMe2)Li (1 equiv) and C3H5MgCl (2 equiv). Following a similar procedure, the yttrium‐ and scandium–bis(allyl) complexes, [(C5Me4‐C5H4N)Ln(η3‐C3H5)2] (Ln=Y ( 3 a ), Sc ( 3 b )), which also contained electron‐withdrawing pyridyl‐Cp ligands, were also obtained selectively. Deprotonation of the bulky pyridyl‐Flu ligand (C13H9‐C5H4N) by [Ln(CH2SiMe3)3(thf)2] generated the rare‐earth‐metal–dialkyl complexes, [(η3‐C13H8‐C5H4N)Ln(CH2SiMe3)2(thf)] (Ln=Y ( 4 a ), Sc ( 4 b ), Lu ( 4 c )), in which an unusual asymmetric η3‐allyl bonding mode of Flu moiety was observed. Switching to the bidentate yttrium–trisalkyl complex [Y(CH2C6H4o‐NMe2)3], the same reaction conditions afforded the corresponding yttrium bis(aminobenzyl) complex [(η3‐C13H8‐C5H4N)Y(CH2C6H4o‐NMe2)2] ( 5 ). Complexes 1 – 5 were fully characterized by 1H and 13C NMR and X‐ray spectroscopy, and by elemental analysis. In the presence of both [Ph3C][B(C6F5)4] and AliBu3, the electron‐donating aminophenyl‐Cp‐based complexes 1 and 2 did not show any activity towards styrene polymerization. In striking contrast, upon activation with [Ph3C][B(C6F5)4] only, the electron‐withdrawing pyridyl‐Cp‐based complexes 3 , in particular scandium complex 3 b , exhibited outstanding activitiy to give perfectly syndiotactic (rrrr >99 %) polystyrene, whereas their bulky pyridyl‐Flu analogues ( 4 and 5 ) in combination with [Ph3C][B(C6F5)4] and AliBu3 displayed much‐lower activity to afford syndiotactic‐enriched polystyrene.  相似文献

Diaryl‐substituted triazenides Ar(Ar′)N3HgX [Ar/Ar′ = Dmp/Mph, X = Cl ( 2a ), Br ( 3a ), I ( 4a ); Ar/Ar′ = Dmp/Tph, X = Cl ( 2b ), I ( 4b ) with Mph = 2‐MesC6H4, Mes = 2,4,6‐Me3C6H2, Tph = 2′,4′,6′‐triisopropylbiphenyl‐2‐yl and Dmp = 2,6‐Mes2C6H3] were synthesized by salt‐metathesis reactions in ethyl ether from the readily available starting materials Ar(Ar′)N3Li and HgX2. These compounds may be used for redox‐transmetallation reactions with rare‐earth or alkaline earth metals. Thus, reaction of 4b or 2b with magnesium or ytterbium in tetrahydrofuran afforded the triazenides Dmp(Tph)N3MX(thf) ( 5b : M = Mg, X = I; 6b : M = Yb, X = Cl) in good yield. All new compounds were characterized by melting point, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and for selected species by IR spectroscopy or mass spectrometry. In addition, the solid‐state structures of triazenides 2a , 2b , 3a , 4b , 5b and 6b were investigated by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction.  相似文献

An efficient method for the synthesis of the first N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC)‐stabilized halosilylidyne complexes is reported that starts from SiBr4. In the first step, SiBr4 was treated with one equivalent of the N‐heterocyclic carbene 1,3‐bis[2,6‐bis(isopropyl)phenyl]imidazolidin‐2‐ylidene (SIdipp) to give the 4,5‐dihydroimidazolium salt [SiBr3(SIdipp)]Br ( 1‐Br ), which then was reduced with potassium graphite to afford the silicon(II) dibromide–NHC adduct SiBr2(SIdipp) ( 2‐Br ) in good yields. Heating 2‐Br with Li[CpCr(CO)3] afforded the complex [Cp(CO)2Cr?SiBr(SIdipp)] ( 3‐Br ) upon elimination of CO. Complex 3‐Br features a trigonal‐planar‐coordinated silicon center and a very short Cr?Si double bond. Similarly, the reaction of SiCl2(SIdipp) ( 2‐Cl ) with Li[CpCr(CO)3] gave the analogous chloro derivative [Cp(CO)2Cr?SiCl(SIdipp)] ( 3‐Cl ). Complex 3‐Br undergoes an NHC exchange with 1,3‐dihydro‐4,5‐dimethyl‐1,3‐bis(isopropyl)‐2H‐imidazol‐2‐ylidene (IMe2iPr2) to give the complex [Cp(CO)2CrSiBr(IMe2iPr2)2] ( 4‐Br ). Compound 4‐Br features a distorted‐tetrahedral four‐coordinate silicon center. Bromide abstraction occurs readily from 4‐Br with Li[B(C6F5)4] to give the putative silylidene complex salt [Cp(CO)2Cr?Si(IMe2iPr2)2][B(C6F5)4], which irreversibly dimerizes by means of an Si‐promoted electrophilic activation of one carbonyl oxygen atom to yield the dinuclear siloxycarbyne complex [Cp(CO)Cr{(μ‐CO)Si(IMe2iPr2)2}2‐ Cr(CO)Cp][B(C6F5)4]2 ( 5 ). All compounds were fully characterized, and the molecular structures of 2‐Br – 5‐Br were determined by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction. DFT calculations of 3‐Br and 3‐Cl and their carbene dissociation products [Cp(CO)2Cr?Si? X] (X=Cl, Br) were carried out, and the electronic structures of 3‐Br , 3‐Cl and [Cp(CO)2Cr?Si? X] were analyzed by the natural bond orbital method in combination with natural resonance theory.  相似文献

Treatment of [K(BIPMMesH)] (BIPMMes={C(PPh2NMes)2}2?; Mes=C6H2‐2,4,6‐Me3) with [UCl4(thf)3] (1 equiv) afforded [U(BIPMMesH)(Cl)3(thf)] ( 1 ), which generated [U(BIPMMes)(Cl)2(thf)2] ( 2 ), following treatment with benzyl potassium. Attempts to oxidise 2 resulted in intractable mixtures, ligand scrambling to give [U(BIPMMes)2] or the formation of [U(BIPMMesH)(O)2(Cl)(thf)] ( 3 ). The complex [U(BIPMDipp)(μ‐Cl)4(Li)2(OEt2)(tmeda)] ( 4 ) (BIPMDipp={C(PPh2NDipp)2}2?; Dipp=C6H3‐2,6‐iPr2; tmeda=N,N,N′,N′‐tetramethylethylenediamine) was prepared from [Li2(BIPMDipp)(tmeda)] and [UCl4(thf)3] and, following reflux in toluene, could be isolated as [U(BIPMDipp)(Cl)2(thf)2] ( 5 ). Treatment of 4 with iodine (0.5 equiv) afforded [U(BIPMDipp)(Cl)2(μ‐Cl)2(Li)(thf)2] ( 6 ). Complex 6 resists oxidation, and treating 4 or 5 with N‐oxides gives [{U(BIPMDippH)(O)2‐ (μ‐Cl)2Li(tmeda)] ( 7 ) and [{U(BIPMDippH)(O)2(μ‐Cl)}2] ( 8 ). Treatment of 4 with tBuOLi (3 equiv) and I2 (1 equiv) gives [U(BIPMDipp)(OtBu)3(I)] ( 9 ), which represents an exceptionally rare example of a crystallographically authenticated uranium(VI)–carbon σ bond. Although 9 appears sterically saturated, it decomposes over time to give [U(BIPMDipp)(OtBu)3]. Complex 4 reacts with PhCOtBu and Ph2CO to form [U(BIPMDipp)(μ‐Cl)4(Li)2(tmeda)(OCPhtBu)] ( 10 ) and [U(BIPMDipp)(Cl)(μ‐Cl)2(Li)(tmeda)(OCPh2)] ( 11 ). In contrast, complex 5 does not react with PhCOtBu and Ph2CO, which we attribute to steric blocking. However, complexes 5 and 6 react with PhCHO to afford (DippNPPh2)2C?C(H)Ph ( 12 ). Complex 9 does not react with PhCOtBu, Ph2CO or PhCHO; this is attributed to steric blocking. Theoretical calculations have enabled a qualitative bracketing of the extent of covalency in early‐metal carbenes as a function of metal, oxidation state and the number of phosphanyl substituents, revealing modest covalent contributions to U?C double bonds.  相似文献

The structure was characterized by X-ray single crystal structure analysis (space group P1 (No. 2), Z = 1, a = 943.3(6) pm, b = 1 350.3(1) pm, c = 1 599.9(9) pm, α = 64.99(5)°, β = 89.02(5)°, γ = 73.02(6)°). The Sm iones are bridged by two Br iones. Coordination by one quaph and THF ligands leads to distorded octahedra coordination of the Sm iones. Additionally crystallizes one molecule dibenzonaphthacene.  相似文献

Low-valent titanium species were prepared by reaction of [TiCp*X3] (Cp*=η5-C5Me5; X=Cl, Br, Me) with LiEH4 (E=Al, B) or BH3(thf), and their structures elucidated by experimental and theoretical methods. The treatment of trihalides [TiCp*X3] with LiAlH4 in ethereal solvents (L) leads to the hydride-bridged heterometallic complexes [{TiCp*(μ-H)}2{(μ-H)2AlX(L)}2] (L=thf, X=Cl, Br; L=OEt2, X=Cl). Density functional theory (DFT) calculations for those compounds reveal an open-shell singlet ground state with a Ti−Ti bond and can be described as titanium(II) species. The theoretical analyses also show strong interactions between the Ti−Ti bond and the empty s orbitals of the Al atom of the AlH2XL fragments, which behave as σ-accepting (Z-type) ligands. Analogous reactions of [TiCp*X3] with LiBH4 (2 and 3 equiv.) in tetrahydrofuran at room temperature and at 85 °C lead to the titanium(III) compounds [{TiCp*(BH4)(μ-X)}2] (X=Cl, Br) and [{TiCp*(BH4)(μ-BH4)}2], respectively. The treatment of [TiCp*Me3] with 4 and 5 equiv. of BH3(thf) produces the diamagnetic [{TiCp*(BH3Me)}2(μ-B2H6)] and paramagnetic [{TiCp*(μ-B2H6)}2] complexes, respectively.  相似文献

A wide range of potential ligand precursors and related compounds have been synthesized from ferrocenyldibromoborane and ferrocenylenebis(dibromoborane) via salt elimination reactions. These comprise ligand precursors suitable for the preparation of (i) ansa‐metallocenes such as [FcB(η1‐C5H5)2] ( 2 ), [FcB(1‐C9H7)2] ( 3 ), [FcB(3‐C9H7)2] ( 4 ) and [1,1′‐fc{B(3‐C9H7)2}2] ( 11 ), (ii) constrained geometry complexes such as [FcB(1‐C9H7)N(H)Ph] ( 7 ) and [FcB(3‐C9H7)N(H)Ph] ( 8 ), (iii) ansa‐diamido complexes such as [FcB(N(H)Ph)2] ( 9 ) as well as (iv) the related compounds [FcB(Br)N(H)tBu] ( 5 ), [FcB(Br)N(H)Ph] ( 6 ), [1,1′‐fc{B(Br)N(SiMe3)2}2] ( 12 ) and [1,1′‐fc{B(Br)NiPr2}2] ( 13 ) (Fc = ferrocenyl, fc = ferrocenylene, C5H5 = cyclopentadienyl, C9H7 = indenyl). All new compounds have been characterised by multinuclear NMR spectroscopic techniques and in the case of 7 and 12 by X‐ray diffraction methods.  相似文献

Seven square planar bis(o-diiminobenzosemiquinonato)nickel(II) complexes, [Ni(o-C6H4(NH)(NAr))2] (Ar= Mes, 1; p-F-C6H4, 2; p-CI-C6H4, 3), [Ni(o-4,5-F2-C6H2(NH)(NPh))2] (4), and [Ni(o-4,5-CIz-C6H2(NH)(NAr))2] (Ar =Ph, 5; 2,6-F2-C6H3, 6; 2,6-C12-C6H3, 7), have been synthesized and characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 19F NMR, IR, UV-Vis-NIR, elemental analyses, HRMS, as well as single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies (1 and 7). The cyclic voltammograms of these complexes exhibit two reversible redox processes of [NiLe]0n- and [NIL2]l /2 , and one irreversible process of [NiL2]~n+. Substituent effects on the redox properties of these complexes, in addi- tion with those of the known complexes [Ni(o-C6Ha(NH)(NPh))2] (8) and [Ni(o-3,5-Butz-C6Hz(NH)2)2] (9), are identified by comparing the half-wave potentials of the reduction waves, as 1 ~ 9 〈 8 ~ 2 〈 3 〈 4 〈 5 〈 7 〈 6, reflect- ing the ease of reduction of [NIL2] parallels the electron-donating and -withdrawing ability of the substituent group. Reduction of 1 with one or two equivalents of sodium metal in THF has led to the isolation of [Na(THF)3][I] and [Na(THF)3]2[1]. The structure data of these two complexes revealed by low-temperature X-ray crystallography suggest their corresponding electronic structures of [Nill(lL-1 )(IL2-)]1- and [Ni1](1L2 )212-, which are in line with those of [9]n (n = 1-, 2-) suggested by spectroelectrochemical study.  相似文献

A series of six new Zn (II) compounds, viz., [Zn(HLASA)2(Py)2] ( 1 ), [Zn(HLMASA)2(Py)2] ( 2 ), [Zn(HLMASA)2(4‐MePy)2] ( 3 ), [Zn(HLCASA)2(4‐MePy)2] ( 4 ), [Zn(HLBASA)2(Py)2] ( 5 ), [Zn(HLBASA)2(4‐MePy)2] ( 6 ) and representative Cu (II) and Cd (II) complexes, viz., [Cu(HLASA)2(Py)2(H2O)] ( 7 ) and [Cd(HLBASA)2(Py)3] ( 8 ) [(HLXASA)? = para‐substituted 5‐[(E)‐2‐(aryl)‐1‐diazenyl]‐2‐hydroxybenzoate with X = H (ASA), Me (MASA), Cl (CASA) or Br (BASA); Py = pyridine; 4‐MePy = 4‐methylpyridine] have been synthesized and characterized by spectroscopic techniques and single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis. The structural characterization of the compounds revealed distorted tetrahedral ( 1 – 6 ), square‐pyramidal ( 7 ) and pentagonal‐bipyramidal ( 8 ) coordination geometries around the metal atom, in which the aryl‐substituted diazosalicylate ligands are coordinated only through the oxygen atoms of carboxylate groups, either in an anisobidentate or isobidentate mode; meanwhile, the 2‐hydroxy groups of the monoanionic ligand (HLXASA)? are involved only in intramolecular O‐H···O hydrogen bonds with the carboxylate function. In the crystal structures of 1 – 8 , the complex molecules are assembled by π‐stacking interactions giving mostly infinite 1D strands. The intermolecular binding in the solid state structures is accomplished by diverse additional non‐covalent contacts including C‐H···O, C‐H···N, C‐H···π, C‐H···Br, O···Br, Br···π and van der Waals contacts. Although the primary and secondary ligands in the Zn (II) complex series 1 – 6 carry different substituents at the periphery (X = H, Me, Cl, Br for (HLXASA)? and R = H, Me for 4‐Py‐R), five of the crystal structures were isostructural. Additionally, the antimicrobial activity of the pro‐ligands H2LXASA and their Zn (II), Cu (II) and Cd (II) compounds were studied in a comparative manner, showing high sensitivity (IZD ≥ 20) against Bacillus subtilis.  相似文献
