The electronic properties of four divinylanthracene‐bridged diruthenium carbonyl complexes [{RuCl(CO)(PMe3)3}2(μ? CH?CHArCH?CH)] (Ar=9,10‐anthracene ( 1 ), 1,5‐anthracene ( 2 ), 2,6‐anthracene ( 3 ), 1,8‐anthracene ( 4 )) obtained by molecular spectroscopic methods (IR, UV/Vis/near‐IR, and EPR spectroscopy) and DFT calculations are reported. IR spectroelectrochemical studies have revealed that these complexes are first oxidized at the noninnocent bridging ligand, which is in line with the very small ν(C?O) wavenumber shift that accompanies this process and also supported by DFT calculations. Because of poor conjugation in complex 1 , except oxidized 1+ , the electronic absorption spectra of complexes 2+ , 3+ , and 4+ all display the characteristic near‐IR band envelopes that have been deconvoluted into three Gaussian sub‐bands. Two of the sub‐bands belong mainly to metal‐to‐ligand charge‐transfer (MLCT) transitions according to results from time‐dependent DFT calculations. EPR spectroscopy of chemically generated 1+ – 4+ proves largely ligand‐centered spin density, again in accordance with IR spectra and DFT calculations results.  相似文献

Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of 5‐mercapto‐1,2,4‐triazol‐3‐imine‐2′‐hydroxynaphthaline have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, EI‐mass, UV‐Vis, and ESR (electron spin resonance) spectra, molar conductance, magnetic moment measurements, DC conductivity and thermogravimetric analysis. IR spectra confirm that the ligand molecule existed in both thione and thiole forms. The molar conductance values indicate the complexes are nonelectrolyte. The magnetic moment values of the complexes display paramagnetic behavior. All studies confirm the formation of an octahedral geometry for complex 1 and the other complexes have tetrahedral geometrical structures. The structures of the complexes have also been theoretically studied by using the molecular mechanic calculations by the hyperchem. 8.03 molecular modeling program which confirm the proposed structures. The Schiff‐base ligand and its metal complexes have also been screened for their antimicrobial activities.  相似文献

Biologically active triazole Schiff bases ( L 1  L 3 ) derived from the reaction of 3‐amino‐1,2,4‐triazole with chloro‐, bromo‐ and nitro‐ substituted salicylaldehydes and their Zn(II) complexes (1–3) have been synthesized and characterized by their physical, spectral and analytical data. Triazole Schiff bases potentially act as tridentate ligands and coordinate with the Zn(II) metal atom through salicylidene‐O, azomethine‐N and triazole‐N. The complexes have the general formula [M(L‐H)2], where M = zinc(II) and L = ( L 1 – L 3 ), and observe an octahedral geometry. The Schiff bases and their Zn(II) complexes have been screened for in‐vitro antibacterial, antifungal and brine shrimp bioassay. The biological activity data show the Zn(II) complexes to be more potent antibacterial and antifungal than the parent simple Schiff bases. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A novel diazadiphosphetidine ligand derived from the reaction of 2,4‐dichloro‐1,3‐dimethyl‐1,3,2,4‐diazadiphosphetidine‐2,4‐dioxide and 2,2′‐(ethane‐1,2‐diylbis[oxy])bis(ethan‐1‐amine) and its Ni(II), Cu(II), and Co(II) complexes have been synthesized, characterized by spectroscopic, elemental analyses, magnetic susceptibility, and conductivity methods, and screened for antimicrobial, DNA binding, and cleavage properties. Spectroscopic analysis and elemental analyses indicate the formula [M(H2L)Cl2] for the Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Zn(II) complexes and octahedral geometry for all the complexes. The non‐electrolytic nature of the complexes in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) was confirmed by their molar conductance values, which are in the range 12.32–6.73 Ω?1 cm2 mol?1. Computational studies have been carried out at the density functional theory (DFT)‐B3LYP/6‐31G(d) level of theory on the structural and spectroscopic properties of diazadiphosphetidine H2L and its binuclear Cu(II), Co(II), Ni(II), and Zn(II) complexes. Six tautomers and geometrical isomers of the diazadiphosphetidine ligand were confirmed using semiempirical AM1 and DFT method from DMOL3 calculations. The copper complex had the best antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 29213). DNA cleavage activities of the compounds, evaluated on pBR322 DNA by agarose gel electrophoresis in the presence and absence of an oxidant (H2O2) and a free‐radical scavenger (DMSO), indicated no activity for the ligand and moderate activity for the complexes, with the copper complex cleaving pBR322 DNA more efficiently in the presence of H2O2.  相似文献

A series of organotin(IV) complexes with 2‐mercapto‐5‐methyl‐1,3,4‐thiadiazole (HL) of the type R3 Sn(L) (R = Me 1 ; Bu 2 ; Ph 3 ; PhCH2 4 ) and R2Sn(L)2 (R = CH3 5 ; Ph 6 ; PhCH2 7 ; Bu 8 ) have been synthesized. All complexes 1–8 were characterized by elemental analysis, IR,1H, 13 C, and 119Sn NMR spectra. Among these, complexes 1 , 3 , 4 , and 7 were also determined by X‐ray crystallography. The tin atoms of complexes 1 , 3 , and 4 are all penta‐coordinated and the geometries at tin atoms of complexes 3 and 4 are distorted trigonal–bipyramidal. Interestingly, complex 1 has formed a 1D polymeric chain through Sn and N intermolecular interactions. The tin atom of complex 7 is hexa‐coordinated and its geometry is distorted octahedral. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. A new class of luminescent alkynylplatinum(II) complexes with a tridentate pyridine‐based N‐heterocyclic carbene (2,6‐bis(1‐butylimidazol‐2‐ylidenyl)pyridine) ligand, [PtII(C^N^C)(C?CR)][PF6], and their chloroplatinum(II) precursor complex, [PtII(C^N^C)Cl][PF6], have been synthesized and characterized. One of the alkynylplatinum(II) complexes has also been structurally characterized by X‐ray crystallography. The electrochemistry, electronic absorption and luminescence properties of the complexes have been studied. Nanosecond transient absorption (TA) spectroscopy has also been performed to probe the nature of the excited state. The origin of the absorption and emission properties has been supported by computational studies.  相似文献

Platinum (II) complexes bearing N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands have been widely used in catalytic chemistry, but there are very few reports of biological properties of this type of complexes. A series of [PtCl2(NHC)(PEt3)] complexes were synthesized. The structures of all compounds were characterized by 1H‐NMR, 13C‐NMR, IR and elemental analysis techniques, which supported the proposed structures. The single crystal structures of complexes 1a and 1e were determined. The title complexes show slightly distorted square‐planar coordination around the platinum (II) metal center. The cytotoxic properties of the platinum (II)–NHC complexes have been assessed in various human cancer lines, including cisplatin‐sensitive and resistant cells. IC50 values of these four complexes were determined by the MTS‐based assay on three human cell lines—brain (SHSY5Y), colon (HTC116) and liver (HEP3B). These complexes have been highlighted cancer therapeutic agent with unique structures and functions.  相似文献

A new series of Cu2+, Pt4+, Pd2+, Au3+ and Nd3+ complexes derived from 2‐(pyridin‐1‐ium‐1‐yl) acetate have been synthesized and characterized using elemental analyses, spectral (infrared (IR), UV–visible, mass, 13C NMR and 1H NMR), magnetic and thermal measurements. IR results suggest that the ligand acts in a neutral monodentate fashion in all complexes. Octahedral geometry is proposed for Cu2+ and Pt4+ complexes and square‐planar for Pd2+ and Au3+ complexes. The bond lengths, bond angles, and HOMO and LUMO were calculated. Superoxide dismutase‐like radical scavenger activity and cytotoxic activity of the isolated complexes on HepG2 liver cancer cells have been screened. Ligand and complexes (Pt4+ and Nd3+) exhibit potent antioxidant activity upon coordination while Cu2+ and Au3+ complexes do not show superoxide dismutase‐like radical scavenger activity. The cytotoxic activity assay against HepG2 cell line proves that the ligand and its Pt4+ complex have a high cytotoxic activity, while the other complexes showed no cytotoxic activity. Reactions of pyrimidine‐2‐thione (HpymS) with PdII/PtIV salts in the presence of triphenyl phosphine and bis(diphenylphosphino)alkanes, Ph2P‐(CH2)m‐PPh2 (m = 1, 2) have yielded two types of complexes, viz. a) [M(η2‐N, S‐ pymS)(η1‐S‐ pymS)(PPh3)] (M = Pd, 1 ; Pt, 2 ), and (b) [M(η1‐S‐pymS)2(L‐L)] {L‐L, M = dppm (m = 1) Pd, 3 ; Pt, 4 ; dppe (m = 2), Pd, 5 ; Pt, 6 }. Complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis (C, H, N), NMR spectroscopy (1H, 13C, 31P), and single crystal X‐ray crystallography ( 1 , 2 , 4 , and 5 ). Complexes 1 and 2 have terminal η1‐S and chelating η2‐N, S‐modes of pymS, while other Pd/Pt complexes have only terminal η1‐S modes. The solution state 31P NMR spectral data reveal dynamic equilibrium for the complexes 3 , 5 and 6 , whereas the complexes 1 , 2 and 4 are static in solution state.  相似文献

A series of chalcone ligands and their corresponding vanadyl complexes of composition [VO (LI–IV)2(H2O)2]SO4 (where LI = 1,3‐Diphenylprop‐2‐en‐1‐one, LII = 3‐(2‐Hydroxy‐phenyl)‐1‐phenyl‐propenone, LIII = 3‐(3‐Nitro‐phenyl)‐1‐phenyl‐propenone, LIV = 3‐(4‐Methoxy‐phenyl)‐1‐phenyl‐propenone) have been synthesized and characterized using various spectroscopic (Fourier‐transform infrared, electrospray ionization mass, nuclear magnetic resonance, electron paramagnetic resonance, thermogravimetric analysis, vibrating sample magnetometer) and physico‐analytic techniques. Antidiabetic activities of synthesized complexes along with chalcones were evaluated by performing in vitro and in silico α‐amylase and α‐glucosidase inhibition studies. The obtained results displayed moderate to significant inhibition activity against both the enzymes by vanadyl chalcone complexes. The most potent complexes were further investigated for the enzyme kinetic studies and displayed the mixed inhibition for both the enzymes. Further, antioxidant activity of vanadyl chalcone complexes was evaluated for their efficiency to release oxidative stress using 2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picryl‐hydrazyl‐hydrate assay, and two complexes (Complexes 2 and 4 ) have demonstrated remarkable antioxidant activity. All the complexes were found to possess promising antidiabetic and antioxidant potential.  相似文献

The unsymmetrical N‐heterocyclic ligand 1‐[(benzotriazol‐1‐yl)methyl]‐1H‐1,3‐imidazole (bmi) has three potential N‐atom donors and can act in monodentate or bridging coordination modes in the construction of complexes. In addition, the bmi ligand can adopt different coordination conformations, resulting in complexes with different structures due to the presence of the flexible methylene spacer. Two new complexes, namely bis{1‐[(benzotriazol‐1‐yl)methyl]‐1H‐1,3‐imidazole‐κN 3}dibromidomercury(II), [HgBr2(C10H9N5)2], and bis{1‐[(benzotriazol‐1‐yl)methyl]‐1H‐1,3‐imidazole‐κN 3}diiodidomercury(II), [HgI2(C10H9N5)2], have been synthesized through the self‐assembly of bmi with HgBr2 or HgI2. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction shows that both complexes are mononuclear structures, in which the bmi ligands coordinate to the HgII ions in monodentate modes. In the solid state, both complexes display three‐dimensional networks formed by a combination of hydrogen bonds and π–π interactions. The IR spectra and PXRD patterns of both complexes have also been recorded.  相似文献

Highly twisted structures of expanded porphyrin provide a prominent basis to unravel the relationship between aromaticity and chirality. Here we report the synthesis of bis‐Ge(IV) complexes of [38]octaphyrin that display rigid figure‐eight structures. Two bis‐Ge(IV) [38]octaphyrin isomers with respect to the stereochemistry of the axial hydroxy groups on the germanium ions were obtained and found to be aromatic. Upon oxidation with MnO2, these [38]octaphyrin complexes were converted to a single syn‐type isomer of [36]octaphyrin with retained figure‐eight conformation. The enantiomers have been successfully separated by HPLC equipped with a chiral stationary phase. While aromatic [38]octaphyrin Ge(IV) complexes showed quite large molar circular dichroism of up to Δ?=1500 M?1cm?1 with a dissymmetry factor gabs of 0.035, weakly antiaromatic [36]octaphyrin Ge(IV) complexes underscored moderate values; Δ?=540 M?1cm?1 with gabs of 0.023. Thus, the figure‐eight octaphyrin scaffold has been proved to be an attractive platform for novel chiroptical materials with tunable aromaticity.  相似文献

The enantiopure ketoimine of benzil – the ( S )‐(‐)‐(1‐phenylethylimino)benzyl phenyl ketone ( 1 ) obtained under microwave irradiation in solvent‐free conditions – reacts with Na2[PdCl4] to give the new chiral mono‐ and dinuclear Pd‐complexes 2 and 3 , which have been partly characterized by IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopies along with MS‐FAB+ spectrometry. The crystal and molecular structures of both complexes has been fully confirmed by single‐crystal X‐ray studies. On the other hand, investigations in vitro of 2 and 3 have displayed growth inhibition against different classes of cancer: leukemia (K‐562 CML), colon cancer (HCT‐15), cancer breast (MCF‐7), central nervous system (U‐251 Glio) and prostate cancer (PC‐3) cell lines.  相似文献

New organotin(IV) complexes have been synthesized by treating potassium o‐isopropyl carbonodithioate with R2SnCl2/R3SnCl in 1 : 2/1 : 1 M/L ratio. All complexes have been characterized by IR and NMR (1H, 13C) spectroscopy. IR results shows that ligand acts as bidentate which is also confirmed by semi‐empirical study. NMR data reveals four coordinated geometry in solution. Computed positive heat of formation shows that complex 5 is thermodynamically unstable. UV/visible spectroscopy was used to assess the mode of interaction and binding of the complexes with DNA which shows that complex 5 exhibits higher binding constant as compared to complex 3 . In protein kinase inhibition assay, compound 3 was found most active, while other biological activities shows that triorganotin(IV) complexes are biologically more active as compared to diorganotin(IV) complexes.  相似文献

Two MOFs of [SrII(5‐NO2‐BDC)(H2O)6] ( 1 ) and [BaII(5‐NO2‐BDC)(H2O)6] ( 2 ) have been synthesized in water using alkaline earth metal salts and the rigid organic ligand 5‐NO2‐H2BDC. The compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, infrared spectrum, thermal analysis, and X‐ray crystallography. Crystal structure analyses have shown that the two complexes are isostructural as evidenced by IR spectra and TG‐DTA. Both compounds present three‐dimensional frameworks built up from infinite chains of edge‐sharing twelve‐membered rings through O–H···O hydrogen bonds. The specific heat capacities of the title complexes have been determined by an improved RD496‐III microcalorimeter with the values of (109.29 ± 0.693) J mol−1 K−1 and (81.162 ± 0.858) J mol−1 K−1 at 298.15 K, and the molar enthalpy changes of the formation reactions of complexes at 298.15 K were calculated as (4.897 ± 0.008) kJ mol−1 and (2.617 ± 0.009) kJ mol−1, respectively.  相似文献

The new rigid bidentate nitrogen ligands 1, 2‐bis[(2, 5‐di‐tert‐butylphenyl)imino]acenaphthene ( 1 ) (dtb‐BIAN) and 1, 2‐bis[(2‐biphenyl)imino]acenaphthene ( 2 ) (bph‐BIAN) have been synthesized by condensation of 1, 2‐acenaphthylenedione with 2, 5‐di‐tert‐butylaniline and 2‐aminobiphenyl, respectively. Compounds 1 — 5 have been characterized by C/H analyses, IR, 1H NMR, and 13C NMR spectra, the structures of 2 , 3 , and 5 have been estimated by single crystal X‐ray diffraction.  相似文献

Three chromium ternary complexes with metformin (met) as a primary ligand and bipyridine (bipy) or ortho‐phenylenediamine (opda) or ortho‐phenanthroline (phen) as secondary ligand were synthesized. These complexes [Cr (Cl)2(Hmet)(bipy)]‐( 1 ), [Cr (Cl)2(Hmet)(opda)]‐( 2 ) and [Cr (Cl)2(Hmet)(phen)]‐( 3 ) were characterized by LC–MS, elemental analysis, molar conductance, thermal analysis, infrared spectroscopy, electronic spectroscopy. The geometrical structures have been found to be octahedral. Degradation pattern of the compounds is shown by thermal studies. The Kinetic parameters‐ energy of activation (Ea), enthalpy (ΔH), entropy (ΔS) and free energy changes (ΔG) have been determined by thermogravimetric data. Coats‐Redfern integration method with thirteen kinetic models was used to calculate the kinetic and thermodynamic parameters for the degradation of all the complexes. The stabilities of the complexes were obtained from their molecular orbital structures from which the quantum chemical parameters were calculated using the HOMO‐LUMO energies. UV–Visible absorption, fluorescence, and viscosity measurements have been conducted to assess the interaction of the complexes with CT DNA. The complexes showed absorption hyperchromism in its UV–Vis spectrum with DNA. The binding constants Kb from UV–Vis absorption studies were 3.1x104, 4.4x104, 5x104 M?1 for 1, 2, 3 respectively and Stern–Volmer quenching constants (Ksq) from fluorescence studies were 0.137, 0.532, 0.631 for 1, 2, 3 respectively. Finally, viscosity measurements revealed that the binding of the complexes with CT‐DNA could be surface binding, mainly due to groove binding. The activity of complexes towards DNA cleavage decrease in the order of 3 > 2 > 1.The light switching properties of the complexes were also evaluated. The complexes were docked in to B‐DNA sequence, 5′(D*AP*CP*CP*GP*AP*CP*GP*TP*CP*GP*GP*T)‐3′ retrieved from protein data bank (PDB ID: 423D), using Discovery Studio 2.1 software.  相似文献

A novel class of alkynylgold(III) complexes of the dianionic ligands derived from 2,6‐bis(benzimidazol‐2′‐yl)pyridine (H2bzimpy) derivatives has been synthesized and characterized. The structure of one of the complexes has also been determined by X‐ray crystallography. Electronic absorption studies showed low‐energy absorption bands at 378–466 nm, which are tentatively assigned as metal‐perturbed π–π* intraligand transitions of the bzimpy2? ligands. A computational study has been performed to provide further insights into the nature of the electronic transitions for this class of complexes. One of the complexes has been found to show gelation properties, driven by π–π and hydrophobic–hydrophobic interactions. This complex exhibited concentration‐ and temperature‐dependent 1H NMR spectra. The morphology of the gel has been characterized by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM).  相似文献

In the present study, a series of chiral C2‐symmetric ferrocenyl based binuclear η6‐benzene‐Ru(II) complexes bearing diphenylphosphinite and diisopropylphosphinite moieties have been synthesised. The new binuclear η6‐benzene‐Ru(II)‐phosphinite complexes were characterised based on nuclear magnetic resonance (1H, 13C, 31P–NMR), FT‐IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. Then, these complexes have been screened as catalytic precursors in the transfer hydrogenation of acetophenone with 2‐propanol as both the hydrogen source and solvent in the presence of KOH. The corresponding optically active secondary alcohols were obtained in excellent conversion rates between 96 and 99% and moderate to good enantioselectivities (up to 78% ee). The complex 5 was the most efficient catalyst among the four new complexes investigated herein.  相似文献

Series of new tin complexes are synthesized by classical thermal and microwave‐irradiated techniques. The biologically potent ligands 3‐formyl‐4‐chlorocoumarin semicarbazone (L1H) and 3‐formyl‐4‐chlorocoumarin thiosemicarbazone (L2H), were prepared by the condensation of semicarbazide hydrochloride and thiosemicarbazide in ethanol with the particular ketone by using microwave as well as conventional methods. The tin(IV) complexes have been prepared by mixing Ph3SnCl/Me3SnCl/Me2SnCl2 in 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratios with monofunctional bidentate ligands. The structures of the ligands and their tin complexes were confirmed by the elemental analysis, melting point determinations, molecular weight determinations, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 119Sn NMR, UV, mass spectral and X‐ray powder diffraction studies. On the basis of these studies it is clear that the ligands coordinated to the metal atom in a monobasic bidentate mode, by X$^{\cap}$ N donor system. Thus, suitable trigonal bipyramidal geometry for penta‐coordinated state and octahedral geometry for hexa‐coordinated state have been suggested for the 1:1 and 1:2 metal compounds. Both the ligands and their complexes have been screened for their antimicrobial, pesticidal and nematicidal activities. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
