We consider the stabilization problem for an unstable solution of an operator equation of Navier-Stokes type. We show that one can exponentially stabilize this solution by treating it as the unique solution of a stationary variational inequality; the stabilizing operator has finite-dimensional range.  相似文献

We consider the problem of partial controllability for an evolution equation with a quadratic nonlinearity, in which one should provide, at a given time, a given projection of the solution onto some finite-dimensional subspace by using the action of external forces that belong to one and the same subspace at each time. On the basis of estimates for the solution of a subdifferential Cauchy problem for a system of Navier-Stokes type, we prove the controllability and the existence of a control with minimum norm. We consider applications to the Navier-Stokes equations of a viscous incompressible fluid and a heat convection model.  相似文献

This paper considers the stabilization of steady-state solutions of a semilinear parabolic system using finite-dimensional feedback controllers with support in an arbitrary open subset and which are active in one equation only. It is shown that such a controller, with dimension given by the largest algebraic multiplicity of the unstable eigenvalues of the linearized system, exponentially stabilizes the steady-state solution. An optimal design methodology for these types of controllers, which is based on the finite element approximation of the semilinear parabolic system, is introduced and illustrated by numerical simulation examples.  相似文献

Willems' approach to dynamical systems without a priori distinguishing between inputs and outputs is accepted, and with this as a starting point, new linear dynamical systems are introduced and studied. It is proved in particular that (in the complex case) the set of isomorphism classes of completely observable (or completely reachable) linear systems with given input and output numbers and McMillan degree, has a natural structure of a compact algebraic variety. The purpose of this article is to compute an explicit formula for the unnormalized conditional density for the filter associated with a nonlinear filtering problem with correlated noises and a signal process with nonlinear terms in the drift. In this paper we provide some new tools for the study of finite-dimensional absolute-valued algebras. We introduce homotopy notions in this field and develop some of their applications. We consider stationary linear vector systems with commensurable delays. We obtain sufficient conditions for the reducibility of such systems to canonical form with the extraction of null dynamics. A constructive algorithm for the reduction of a system to that form is presented. We suggest a method for estimating the unknown input for vector delay systems with given accuracy.  相似文献
