We find a common abstract formulation of the quasistatic and dynamic problems from viscoplasticity theory. Based on this formulation we show existence and uniqueness of the solution to this abstract problem by choosing appropriate spaces and by reducing the problem to an evolution equation, which can be treated by the general theory of monotone operators in Hilbert space. We study compactness properties of linear operators from an Orlicz space LΦ provided with a natural mixed topology to a Banach space (X, || · ||X). We derive that every Bochner representable operator is -compact. In particular, it is shown that every Bochner representable operator is (τ(L∞, L1), || · ||X)-compact.

Let be an ideal of over a -finite measure space , and let stand for the order dual of . For a real Banach space let be a subspace of the space of -equivalence classes of strongly -measurable functions and consisting of all those for which the scalar function belongs to . For a real Banach space a linear operator is said to be order-weakly compact whenever for each the set is relatively weakly compact in . In this paper we examine order-weakly compact operators . We give a characterization of an order-weakly compact operator in terms of the continuity of the conjugate operator of with respect to some weak topologies. It is shown that if is an order continuous Banach function space, is a Banach space containing no isomorphic copy of and is a weakly sequentially complete Banach space, then every continuous linear operator is order-weakly compact. Moreover, it is proved that if is a Banach function space, then for every Banach space any continuous linear operator is order-weakly compact iff the norm is order continuous and is reflexive. In particular, for every Banach space any continuous linear operator is order-weakly compact iff is reflexive.

In this paper, the disjoint strict singularity of inclusions of symmetric spaces of functions on an interval is considered.

In the present paper, we obtain three independent results on the Besov-Morrey spaces and the Triebel-Lizorkin-Morrey spaces. That is, we are going to obtain the characterization of local means, the boundedness of pseudo-differential operators and the characterization of the Hardy-Morrey spaces. We will construct a minimal and co-minimal projection from Lp([0,1]n) onto Lp([0,1]n1)++Lp([0,1]nk), where n=n1++nk (see Theorem 2.9). This is a generalization of a result of Cheney, Halton and Light from (Approximation Theory in Tensor Product Spaces, Lecture Notes in Mathematics, Springer, Berlin, 1985; Math. Proc. Cambridge Philos. Soc. 97 (1985) 127; Math. Z. 191 (1986) 633) where they proved the minimality in the case n=2. We provide also some further generalizations (see Theorems 2.10 and 2.11 (Orlicz spaces) and Theorem 2.8). Also a discrete case (Theorem 2.2) is considered. In this paper, we consider evolution equations with time-dependent pseudomonotone and quasimonotone operators by a new approach based on equilibrium problems theory. We establish new existence results for equilibrium problems associated to pseudomonotone and quasimonotone bifunctions in the topological sense. The results obtained are then applied to derive existence of solutions for evolution equations. The approach is new and leads to improve and unify most of the results obtained in this direction. 相似文献

The aim of this paper is to establish an abstract theory based on the so-called fractional-maximal distribution functions (FMDs). From the basic ideas introduced in [1], we develop and prove some abstract results related to the level-set inequalities and norm-comparisons by using the language of such FMDs. Particularly interesting is the applicability of our approach that has been shown in regularity and Calderón-Zygmund type estimates. In this paper, due to our research experience, we will establish global regularity estimates for two types of general quasilinear problems (problems with divergence form and double obstacles), via fractional-maximal operators and FMDs. The range of applications of these abstract results is large. Apart from these two examples of the regularity theory for elliptic equations discussed, it is also promising to indicate further possible applications of our approach for other special topics. 相似文献

Here, we provide a unifying treatment of the convergence of a general form of sampling-type operators, given by the so-called sampling Durrmeyer-type series. The main result consists of the study of a modular convergence theorem in the general setting of Orlicz spaces . From the latter theorem, the convergence in , in , and in the exponential spaces can be obtained as particular cases. For the completeness of the theory, we provide a pointwise and uniform convergence theorem on , in case of bounded continuous and bounded uniformly continuous functions; in this context, we also furnish a quantitative estimate for the order of approximation, using the modulus of continuity of the function to be approximated. In this paper, we study the existence of solutions for noncoercive mixed equilibrium problems which are described by the sum of a maximal monotone bifunction and a pseudomonotone (or quasimonotone) bifunction in the sense of Brézis. Our approach is based on recession analysis and on recent results established by the authors for the existence of solutions of mixed equilibrium problems under pseudomonotone perturbations. In this paper, we consider the best polynomial approximation operator defined on an Orlicz–Lorentz space , and its extension to , where w is a non-negative continuous weight function and is the derivative of ϕ, which is not required to be an Orlicz function. Our work generalizes a recent result in this field on an Orlicz–Lorentz space generated by an Orlicz function.
