Rare Earth Halides Ln4X5Z. Part 3: The Chloride La4Cl5B4 – Preparation, Structure, and Relation to La4Br5B4, La4I5B4 La4Cl5B4 is synthesized by reaction of LaCl3, La metal and boron in sealed Ta containers at 1050 °C < T < 1350 °C. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/m with a = 16.484(3) Å, b = 4.263(1) Å, c = 9.276(2) Å and β = 120.06(3)°. Ce4Cl5B4 is isotypic, a = 16.391(3) Å, b = 4.251(1) Å, c = 9.180(2) Å and β = 120.20(3)°. The La atoms form strings of trans-edge shared La octahedra, and the B atoms inside the strings form B4-rhomboids, which are condensed to chains via opposite corners. The Cl atoms interconnect the channels according to La2La4/2Cli−i6/2Cli−a2/2Cla−i2/2. The crystal structures of the bromide and the iodide are comparabel, however, the interconnection of the strings is different in the three structure types, as 14 Cl, 13 Br and 12 I atoms surround the La6 octahedra.  相似文献

Complex formation of 2, 6‐bis(2′‐hydroxyphenyl)pyridine (H2Li) with Fe3+ and Cu2+ was investigated in a H2O/DMSO medium (mole fraction xDMSO = 0.2) by potentiometric and spectrophotometric methods. The pKa values of [H3Li]+ are 2.25, 10.51 and 14.0 (25 °C, 0.1 M KCl). The formation constants of [FeIII(Li)]+ and [CuII(Li)] (25 °C, 0.1 M KCl) are log β1 = 21.5 for Fe3+ and log β1 = 18.5 for Cu2+. The crystal structures of [Al(Li)2Na(EtOH)3], [Fe(Li)2Na(EtOH)3], and [Cu(Li)(py)]2 were investigated by single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses. The FeIII and the AlIII compound are isotypic and crystallize in the monoclinic space group P21/n. Al‐compound (215 K): a = 12.599(3) Å, b = 16.653(3) Å, c = 17.525(4) Å, β = 100.27(3)°, Z = 4 for C40H40AlN2NaO7; Fe‐compound (293 K): a = 12.753(3) Å, b = 16.715(3) Å, c = 17.493(3) Å, β = 99.68(3)°, Z = 4 for C40H40FeN2NaO7. Both compounds contain a homoleptic, anionic bis‐complex [M(Li)2] of approximate D2 symmetry. The Cu compound crystallized as an uncharged, dinuclear and centrosymmetric [Cu(Li)(py)]2 complex in the monoclinic space group P21/n with (293 K) a = 13.386(3) Å, b = 9.368(2) Å, c = 14.656(3) Å, β = 100.65(3)°, Z = 2 for C44H32Cu2N4O4. The structural properties and in particular the possible influence of the ligand geometry on the stability of the metal complexes is discussed.  相似文献

The Aluminide Iodides La24Al12I21 and La10Al5I8: Compounds with Intermetallic La‐Al Fractions and La‐Al Clusters Reacting pieces of La, LaI3 and Al filings (molar ratio 22 : 8 : 15) at 800 °C–825 °C results in La24Al12I21 (70 % yield) together with La10Al5I8 (10 % yield), besides known La3Al2I2 and La2Al2I. Both new compounds form golden coloured needles. La10Al5I8 is brittle, whereas La24Al12I21 is shaped as hair‐like easily deformable bundles. Both are monoclinic, space group C2/m, La24Al12I21 with a = 35.753(7) Å, b = 4.327(1) Å, c = 27.442(6) Å, β = 116.62(3)° and La10Al5I8 with a = 19.649(1) Å, b = 4.296(1) Å, c = 18.0290(1) Å and β = 96.67(3)°. The La atoms form trigonal prisms condensed into double chains along [010]. The La prisms are centered by Al atoms which form Al6 rings connected into chains. The La‐Al strands are surrounded by I atoms in La24Al12I21, whereas in La10Al5I8 they are connected to form corrugated sheets separated by close packed layers of I atoms together with Al atoms. The octahedral voids around the Al atoms are occupied by La atoms, and such La6Al clusters are connected via opposite edges to octahedra chains along [010].  相似文献

The subhalides La3X3Z (X = Br, I, Z = Si, P, As, Sb, C2) were synthesized from stoichiometric mixtures of La, LaX3 and Z under Ar atmosphere in sealed Ta ampoules at 950 °C to 1200 °C for 3–30 days. La3X3Z (X = Br, I, Z = Si, P, As, Sb) is isostructural to Gd3Cl3C (Z = 8, space group I4132, No. 214) which can be described as a defect NaCl type. This structure is characterized by the main group element Z centered octahedra propagating helically in three dimensions. The lattice constants a are 12.163(3), 12.4267(5), 12.533(1) and 12.780(1) Å for La3Br3Si, La3I3P, La3I3As and La3I3Sb, respectively. The excess electrons in the La dxy conduction band lead to a metallic behavior for these compounds. La3Br3Si undergoes a metal‐insulator transition at 36 K which is attributed to a structural change. La3Br3C2 crystallizes in a different space group C2221 (No. 20), Z = 16, a = 11.5330(6) Å, b = 17.0698(6) Å, c = 17.0540(8) Å. The C2 units center highly distorted La octahedra. This structure, however, is related to the above I4132 structure in that the edge‐sharing La6 octahedra fill space in a similar way. This compound is a semiconductor (electrical gap Eg = 0.02 eV) and its conducting property can be understood from the closed‐shell electron configuration of (La3+)3(Br)3(C2)6–.  相似文献

La2O(CN2)2 was synthesized from a 1:1:2 molar reaction mixture of LaCl3, LaOCl, and Li2(CN2) at 650 °C. Well developed single crystals were grown from a LiCl‐KCl flux. The crystal structure was refined as monoclinic (space group C2/c, Z = 2, a = 13.530(2) Å, b = 6.250(1) Å, c = 6.1017(9) Å, β = 104.81(2)°) from single crystal X‐ray diffraction data. The La3+ and (CN2)2— ions in the crystal structure of La2O(CN2)2 can be compared to Fe3+ and S22— ions in the cubic pyrite structure, being arranged like in a distorted NaCl type structure with their centers of gravity. In addition, the O2— ions in La2O(CN2)2 are occupying 1/4 of the tetrahedral voids formed by the arrangement of metal ions.  相似文献

X-ray structural analysis has been performed for two complex compounds: Cu(en)2(o-HB)2H2O (I) (a = 16.873(4) Å, b = 8.713(2) Å, c = 14.803(3) Å, β = 91.15(2)°, V = 2175.8(8) Å3, C2/c, Z = 4, R(F) = 0.0263, 1516 reflections with I > 3σ (I)) and [Cu(en)2(OH2)2]2+(o-AB?)2 (II) (a = 7.488(5) Å, b = 22.122(8) Å, c = 7.856(5) Å, β = 118.77(2)°, V = 1140.7(11) Å3, P21/n, Z = 2, R(F) = 0.0432, 1684 reflections with I > 3σ(I)) synthesized under identical conditions (en is ethylenediamine, o-HB is o-hydroxybenzoate, and o-AB is o-aminobenzoate). Although the compounds were assumed to have similar structures and the Cu-Lig bond lengths and the cis and trans angles are acceptable for an octahedral structure, the geometric parameters of o-HB suggest that the copper atom has a plane square environment.  相似文献

Light‐yellow single crystals of the mixed‐valent mercury‐rich basic nitrate Hg8O4(OH)(NO3)5 were obtained as a by‐product at 85 °C from a melt consisting of stoichiometric amounts of (HgI2)(NO3)2·2H2O and HgII(OH)(NO3). The title compound, represented by the more detailed formula HgI2(NO3)2·HgII(OH)(NO3)·HgII(NO3)2·4HgIIO, exhibits a new structure type (monoclinic, C2/c, Z = 4, a = 6.7708(7), b = 11.6692(11), c = 24.492(2) Å, β = 96.851(2)°, 2920 structure factors, 178 parameters, R1[F2 > 2σ(F2)] = 0.0316) and is made up of almost linear [O‐HgII‐O] and [O‐HgI‐HgI‐O] building blocks with typical HgII‐O distances around 2.06Å and a HgI‐O distance of 2.13Å. The Hg22+ dumbbell exhibits a characteristic Hg‐Hg distance of 2.5079(7) Å. The different types of mercury‐oxygen units form a complex three‐dimensional network exhibiting large cavities which are occupied by the nitrate groups. The NO3? anions show only weak interactions between the nitrate oxygen atoms and the mercury atoms which are at distances > 2.6Å from one another. One of the three crystallographically independent nitrate groups is disordered.  相似文献

The reaction of PhN3(H)C6H4N3(H)Ph with Hg(NO3)2 in THF in the presence of triethylamine yields {Hg[PhN3C6H4N3(H)Ph](NO3)} as a yellow powder that can be recrystallized from THF/acetone. The crystals belong to the monoclinic system, space group P21 with the cell dimensions a = 9.639(2), b = 5.412(1), c = 19.675(4) Å, β= 97.47(3)°, V = 1017.7 (4) Å3, Z = 2. The crystal structure determination (2668 unique reflections with [I>2σ(I)], 262 parameters, R1 = 0.0393) shows that the structure consists of mononuclear complexes. Hg atoms are linearly coordinated by one Nα atom of the triazenide unit of the planar ligand [Hg‐N(1) = 2.101(8) Å] and an O atom of the NO3 ion [Hg‐O(1) = 2.11(1) Å]. Additional weak Hg‐N contacts [Hg‐N(4) = 2.662(9) and Hg‐N(3) = 2.851(9) Å] and an intramolecular hydrogen bond between the triazenide hydrogen and an O atom of the nitrate group are observed [N(6)‐H(6)···O(2) = 2.92(2) Å]. The complexes are stacked to infinite chains by metal‐arene π‐interactions. Each Hg atom is coordinated by the terminal phenyl rings of two neighboring complexes [Hg‐C from 3.40(1) to 4.10(1) Å] in a η2 fashion.  相似文献

>From Small Fragments to New Poly‐alkoxo‐oxo‐metalate Derivatives: Syntheses and Crystal Structures of K4[VIV12O12(OCH3)16(C4O4)6], Cs10[VIV24O24(OCH3)32(C4O4)12][VIV8O8(OCH3)16(C2O4)], and M2[VIV8O8(OCH3)16(VIVOF4)] (M = [N(nBu)4] or [NEt4]) By solvothermal reaction of ortho‐vanadicacid ester [VO(OMe)3] with squaric acid and potassium or caesium hydroxide the compounds K4[VIV12O12(OCH3)16(C4O4)6] ( 2 ) and Cs10[VIV24O24(OCH3)32(C4O4)12][VIV8O8(OCH3)16(C2O4)] ( 3 ) could be syntesized. With tetra‐n‐butyl‐ or tetra‐n‐ethylammonium fluoride [N(nBu)4]2[VIV8O8(OCH3)16(VIVOF4)] ( 4 ) and [N(Et)4]2[VIV8O8(OCH3)16(VIVOF4)] ( 5 ) could be isolated. In 2 and 3 the corners of a tetrahedron or cube resp. are occupied by {(VO)3(OMe)4} groups and connected along the edges of the tetrahedron resp. cube by six or twelve resp. squarato‐groups. The octanuclear anions in the compounds 3 , 4 , and 5 are assumedly built up by fragments of the ortho‐vanadicacid ester [VO(OMe)3]. Around the anions C2O42— or VOF4 these oligormeric chains are closed to a ring . Reactions of rubidium or barium salts of the ortho‐selenostannate anion, [Rb4(H2O)4][SnSe4] ( 1 ) or [Ba2(H2O)5][SnSe4] ( 2 ) with Zn(OAc)2 or ZnCl2 in aqueous solution yielded two novel compounds with different ternary Zn/Sn/Se anions, [Rb10(H2O)14.5][Zn4(μ4‐Se)2(SnSe4)4] ( 3 ) and [Ba5(H2O)32][Zn5Sn(μ3‐Se)4(SnSe4)4] ( 4 ). 1 – 4 have been determined by means of single crystal X‐ray diffraction: 1 : triclinic space group lattice dimensions at 203 K: a = 8.2582(17) Å, b = 10.634(2) Å, c = 10.922(2) Å, α = 110.16(3)°, β = 91.74(3)°, γ = 97.86(3)°, V = 888.8(3) Å3; R1 [I > 2σ(I)] = 0.0669; wR2 = 0.1619; 2 : orthorhombic space group Pnma; lattice dimensions at 203 K: a = 17.828(4) Å, b = 11.101(2) Å, c = 6.7784(14) Å, V = 1341.5(5) Å3; R1 [I > 2σ(I)] = 0.0561; wR2 = 0.1523; 3 : triclinic space group ; lattice dimension at 203 K: a = 17.431(4) Å, b = 17.459(4) Å, c = 22.730(5) Å, α = 105.82(3)°, β = 99.17(3)°, γ = 90.06(3)°, V = 6563.1(2) Å3; R1 [I > 2σ(I)] = 0.0822; wR2 = 0.1782; 4 : monoclinic space group P21/c; lattice dimensions at 203 K: a = 25.231(5) Å, b = 24.776(5) Å, c = 25.396(5) Å, β = 106.59(3)°, V = 15215.0(5) Å3; R1 [I > 2σ(I)] = 0.0767; wR2 = 0.1734. The results serve to underline the crucial role of the counterion for the type of ternary anion to be observed in the crystal. Whereas Rb+(aq) stabilizes a P1‐type Zn/Sn/Se supertetrahedron in 3 like K+, the Ba2+(aq) ions better fit to an anionic T3‐type Zn/Sn/Se cluster arrangement as do Na+ ions. It is possible to estimate a radius:charge ratio for the stabilization of the two structural motifs.  相似文献

Twelve ternary alloys in the Ca‐Cu‐Sn system were synthesized as a test on the existing phases. They were prepared from the elements sealed under argon in Ta crucibles, melted in an induction furnace and annealed at 700 °C or 600 °C. Four ordered compounds were found: CaCuSn (YbAuSn type), Imm2, a = 4.597(1) Å, b = 22.027(2) Å, c = 7.939(1) Å, Z = 12, wR2 = 0.080, 1683 F2 values; Ca3Cu8Sn4 (Nd3Co8Sn4 type), P63mc, a = 9.125(1) Å, c = 7.728(1) Å, Z = 2, wR2 = 0.087, 704 F2 values; CaCu2Sn2 (new structure type), C2/m, a = 10.943(3) Å, b = 4.222(1) Å, c = 4.834(1) Å, β = 107.94(1)°, Z = 2, wR2 = 0.051, 343 F2 values; CaCu9Sn4 (LaFe9Si4 type), I4/mcm, a = 8.630(1) Å, c = 12.402(1) Å, Z = 4, wR2 = 0.047, 566 F2 values. In all phases the shortest Cu‐Sn distances are in the range 2.59‐2.66Å, while the shortest Cu‐Cu distances are practically the same, 2.53‐2.54Å, except CaCuSn where no Cu‐Cu contacts occur.  相似文献

The structures of tetrachloro-p-benzoquinone and tetrachloro-o-benzoquinone (p- and o-chloranil) have been investigated by gas electron diffraction. The ring distances are slightly larger and the carbonyl bonds slightly smaller than in the corresponding unsubstituted quinones. The molecules are planar to within experimental error, but small deviations from planarity such as those found for the para compound in the crystal are completely compatible with the data. Values for the geometrical parameters (ra distances and bond angles) and for some of the more important amplitudes (l) with parenthesized uncertainties of 2σ including estimated systematic error and correlation effects are as follows. Tetrachloro-p-benzoquinone: D2h symmetry (assumed); r(CO) = 1.216 Å(4), r(CC) = 1.353 Å(6), r(C-C) = 1.492 Å(3), r(C-Cl) = 1.701 Å(3), ∠C-C-C = 117.1° (7), ∠CC-C1 = 122.7° (2), l(CO)= 0.037 Å(5), l(CC) = l(C-C) - 0.008 Å(assumed) = 0.049 Å(7), and l(C-Cl) = 0.054 Å(3). Tetrachloro-o-benzoquinone: C2v symmetry (assumed); r(CO) = 1.205 Å(5), r(CC) = 1.354 Å(9), r(Ccl-Ccl) = 1.478 Å(28), r(Co-Ccl) = 1.483 Å(24), r(Co-Co) = 1.526 Å(2), r(C-Cl)= 1.705 Å(3), <Co-CO = 121.0° (22), ∠C-C-C = 117.2° (9), ∠Cco, ClC-Cl = 118.9° (22), ∠Cccl, ClC-Cl = 122.2°(12), l(CO) = 0.039 Å(5), and l(Ccl-Ccl) = l(Co-Ccl) = l( Co-Co) = l(CC) + 0.060 Å(equalities assumed) = 0.055 Å(9). Vibrational'shortenings (shrinkages) of a few of the long non-bond distances have also been measured.  相似文献
