We propose a class of new hierarchical model for the evolution of two interacting age-structured populations, which is a system of integro-partial differential equations with global feedback boundary conditions and may describe the interactions such as competition, cooperation and predator-prey relation. Based upon a group of natural conditions, the existence and uniqueness of solutions on infinite time interval are proved by means of fixed point and extension principle, and the continuous dependence of the solution on the initial age distribution is established. These results lay a sound basis for the investigation of stability, controllability and variable optimal control problems.  相似文献

In this paper we consider a class of complex Ginzburg–Landau equations. We obtain sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of global solutions for the initial‐value problem in d‐dimensional torus ??d, and that solutions are initially approximated by solutions of the corresponding small dispersion limit equation for a period of time that goes to infinity as dispersive coefficient goes to zero. Continuous dependence on a modelling parameter is established for solutions of a problem for a complex Ginzburg–Landau equation. A homogenizing boundary condition is also used to discuss the continuous dependence results. In this paper, we establish the global fast dynamics for the time‐dependent Ginzburg–Landau equations of superconductivity. We show the squeezing property and the existence of finite‐dimensional exponential attractors for the system. Non-linear singular integral equations are investigated in connection with some basic applications in two-dimensional fluid mechanics. A general existence and uniqueness analysis is proposed for non-linear singular integral equations defined on a Banach space. Therefore, the non-linear equations are defined over a finite set of contours and the existence of solutions is investigated for two different kinds of equations, the first and the second kind. Moreover, the existence of solutions is further studied for non-linear singular integral equations over a finite number of arbitrarily ordered arcs. An application to fluid mechanics theory is finally given for the determination of the form of the profiles of a turbomachine in two-dimensional flow of an incompressible fluid.  相似文献

This paper addresses the analysis of a time noise‐driven Allen–Cahn equation modelling the evolution of damage in continuum media in the presence of stochastic dynamics. The nonlinear character of the equation is mainly due to a multivoque maximal monotone operator representing a constraint on the damage variable, which is forced to take physically admissible values. By a Yosida approximation and a time‐discretization procedure, we prove a result of global‐in‐time existence and uniqueness of the solution to the stochastic problem. Continuity arguments are used on related initial value problems to produce the existence results. In previous article [M. Zhan, Phase-lock equations and its connections to Ginzburg–Landau equations of superconductivity, J. Nonlinear Anal. 42 (2000) 1063–1075], we introduced a system of equations (phase-lock equations) to model the superconductivity phenomena. We investigated its connection to Ginzburg–Landau equations and proved the existence and uniqueness of both weak and strong solutions. In this article, we study the steady-state problem associated with the phase-lock equations. We prove that the steady-state problem has multiple solutions and show that the solution set enjoys some structural properties as proved by Foias and Teman for the Navier–Stokes equations in [C. Foias, R. Teman, Structure of the set of stationary solutions of the Navier–Stokes equations, Commun. Pure Appl. Math. XXX (1977) 149–164].  相似文献

A mathematical model for the small vibration of an elastic string is considered. The model takes into account the change of tension due to the movement of the end points of the string.
