On the Boundary Behaviour,Including Second Order Effects,of Solutions to Singular Elliptic Problems

For 1 〈 γ 〈 3 we find u（x）=（γ＋1/√2（γ-1）δ（x））^2/γ＋[1＋A（x）（δ（x））2γ-1/γ＋1] For γ3= we prove that u（x）=（2δ（x））^1/2[1＋A（x）δ（x）log 1/δ（x）]     

General Linear Boundary Value Problems for Elliptic Operators with VMO Coefficients

We prove a priori estimates in Sobolev spaces for general linear elliptic boundary value problems with VMO coefficients.We give also results of existence and uniqueness of a solution.

Multiple Solutions for a Fourth-order Asymptotically Linear Elliptic Problem

Under simple conditions, we prove the existence of three solutions for a fourth-order asymptotically linear elliptic boundary value problem. For the resonance case at infinity, we do not need to assume any more conditions to ensure the boundedness of the （PS） sequence of the corresponding functional.

Capacitary Estimates for Solutions of the Dirichlet Problem for Second Order Elliptic Equations in Divergence Form

We consider the Dirichlet problem for A-harmonic functions, i.e. the solutions of the uniformly elliptic equationdiv( in an n-dimensional domain , n 3. The matrix A is assumed to have bounded measurable entries. We obtain pointwise estimates for the A-harmonic functions near a boundary point. The estimates are in terms of the Wiener capacity and the so called capacitary interior diameter. They imply pointwise estimates for the A-harmonic measure of the domain , which in turn lead to a sufficient condition for the Hölder continuity of A-harmonic functions at a boundary point. The behaviour of A-harmonic functions at infinity and near a singular point is also studied and theorems of Phragmén–Lindelöf type, in which the geometry of the boundary is taken into account, are proved. We also obtain pointwise estimates for the Green function for the operator -div( in a domain and for the solutions of the nonhomogeneous equation -div with measure on the right-hand side.

Estimates of Integral Kernels for Semigroups Associated with Second-Order Elliptic Operators with Singular Coefficients

In this paper we obtain pointwise two-sided estimates for the integral kernel of the semigroup associated with second-order elliptic differential operators –(a)+b ₁+b ₂+V with real measurable (singular) coefficients, on an open set R ^N . The assumptions we impose on the lower-order terms allow for the case when the semigroup exists on L ^p () for p only from an interval in [1,), neither enjoys a standard Gaussian estimate nor is ultracontractive in the scale L ^p (). We show however that the semigroup is ultracontractive in the scale of weighted spaces L ^p (,²dx) with a suitable weight and derive an upper and lower bound on its integral kernel.

On the Dirichlet Problem for a System of Degenerate at a Point Elliptic Equations in the Class of Bounded Functions

We consider a weakly connected (by the lowest terms) system of elliptic equations of second order with the main part in the form of the Laplace operator, the order of which becomes degenerate at an interior point of the domain. We investigate a Dirichlet-type problem in the class of bounded Hölder vector functions. We obtain sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of a solution.     

Global Regularity of Weak Solutions to Quasilinear Elliptic and Parabolic Equations with Controlled Growth

We establish global regularity for weak solutions to quasilinear divergence form elliptic and parabolic equations over Lipschitz domains with controlled growth conditions on low order terms. The leading coefficients belong to the class of BMO functions with small mean oscillations with respect to x.
