针对激光二极管阵列提出了"组合模"概念,计算了组合模的远场分布.每个组合模在远场的空间分布呈双瓣结构.基于激光二极管阵列组合模的远场分布特征,设计了离轴外腔反馈的激光二极管阵列.运用此装置所获得激光二极管阵列的远场分布有了明显变化.与自由运转的激光二极管阵列相比,离轴外腔反馈的激光二极管阵列远场宽度减少了4.3倍.在抽运电流为16 A时,测得输出激光的功率1.82 W,这相当于相同电流下自由运转激光器输出功率的79%.组合模理论不仅可以用来指导设计一维离轴外腔反馈激光二极管阵列,而且也可以用于设计二维离轴外腔反馈激光二极管阵列.二维离轴外腔反馈激光二极管阵列可以产生高功率,高光束质量输出的激光.  相似文献

A laser-diode bar incorporated into an external cavity with a volume Bragg mirror produced 30 W of cw output power within a 20 pm (10 GHz) spectral linewidth (FWHM) centered at 780 nm. The device output power exceeded 90% of that for the free-running laser-diode bar. The emission wavelength was tuned over a 400 pm range without broadening laser spectrum width. Absorption of 90% of the laser radiation by a 25 mm vapor cell containing Rb that has been pressure broadened with 300 torr of ethane was demonstrated.  相似文献

For a laser diode array (LDA) positioned in an external cavity of a certain length, a very strong inter-emitter coupling can be established between the off-axis lateral modes of the broad-stripe emitters. Under these circumstances, the phase-locked operation of the LDA due to couplings between off-axis modes of emitters has been observed, for the first time to our knowledge. The observations suggest that phase locking of a broad-stripe LDA can be achieved among different emitter lateral modes by selecting different cavity lengths.  相似文献

根据波导模理论,推导了高功率激光二极管阵列的远场分布,根据其分布特点,设计了一种离轴外腔.运用这种外腔,在工作电流为17A时,光束的束宽积从自由运转时的1100mm·mrad减小到128mm·mrad,二极管阵列的光束质量提高了8.5倍左右,输出功率约为自由运转时的75%.  相似文献

The optimization of the pumping power that is focused on a gain medium inside an optical cavity is fundamental for increasing the efficiency of the power transferred inside a crystal, in this way increasing the output power of the laser. Nevertheless, in the case of pumping with a highly astigmatic laser diode, an undesirable form of the beam is focused on the cavity and the process to improve the cross section and sizes of the beam produce a notable reduction in the effective pump power ultimately focused in the crystal. The cavity design improvements for a Cr:LiSAF laser pumped with a 200 um × 1 um laser diode emission is presented for three different configurations, Z, V, and ring. The pump power is introduced in the cavity through a simple optical array, coupling more than 83% of the laser-diode power. The design requirements for the resonant cavity are reviewed in order to improve the coupling between the fundamental mode of the cavity and the cross-section form of the pumping beam. The stability limits of the cavities and Kerr sensitivity region are presented.  相似文献

Tunable single-frequency lasing with output power up to 9 mW was achieved in an injection laser with an external dispersive cavity. The bistable lasing mode was investigated theoretically and experimentally. It is shown that its presence is due to the laser-diode active-region optical nonlinearity. Investigation of equal-frequency fluctuation spectra of the output power has shown that only modes with differing transverse structures can be excited simultaneously. Suppression of weak modes by the field of a strong mode was observed. Abstract An external cavity for the laser diode array with a conventional mirror in what we call two-time self-injection operation is presented. The external cavity consists of two lenses, a flat external mirror(EM) in the image plane of the array and a prism that is used as an output coupler. The single-lobed near diffraction-limited far field beam of a 1 W 10-stripe gain-guided LD array lies at 6.4°~9° with the external cavity operation in two-time self-injection mode, whereas at 2.5°~3.0° for its normal feedback operation. The width of the far field beam (FWHM) is 0.43° and 0.63° at driving current of 2 and 3.2 ×Ithr, respectively, much narrower than that in normal feedback operation, but at the expense of lower output power. The output of the system is very stable and insensitive to the tilt and position of the EM.  相似文献

以半导体激光器中的复合腔模型和实测的分布反馈光纤激光器的外腔端面反射率为基础,对不同反射率条件下分布反馈光纤激光器的输出功率进行了仿真,同时搭建了二基元分布反馈光纤激光器阵列实验平台,对仿真结果进行了验证.仿真与实验结果表明:外腔反馈光重新注入分布反馈光纤激光器会增加激光器的输出功率,降低了阵列的输出功率平坦性.并且外腔端面反射率越大,这种平坦性降低的效果越明显.在构建分布反馈光纤激光器阵列时,应考虑外腔反馈对阵列输出功率平坦性造成的影响,尽量选择外腔端面反射率较小的激光器进行组阵.  相似文献

An external cavity quantum cascade laser(QCL)array with a wide tuning range and high output power is presented.The coherent QCL array combined with a diffraction grating and gold mirror is tuned in the Littrow configuration.Taking advantage of the single-lobed fundamental supermode far-field pattern,the tuning capability of 30.6 cm~(-1)is achieved with a fixed injected current of 3.5 A at room temperature.Single-mode emission can be observed in the entire process.The maximum single-mode output power of the external cavity setup is as high as 25 mW and is essential in real applications.  相似文献

线阵半导体激光器(LDA)内部发光元周期排列,基于Talbot效应,改进传统Littrow外腔窄线宽系统,在Littrow外腔中置入反射率为20%平平镜构成Talbot外腔以进一步窄化激光器输出谱宽,并将外腔窄线宽输出通过铷池进行吸收实验。实验结果表明:铷池对Tablot外腔输出吸收系数比Littrow外腔吸收系数相对提高42.9%,说明Talbot外腔能有效提高外腔输出谱宽的均匀性,提高半导体激光器泵浦效率。  相似文献

采用中心波长为975nm半导体激光器泵浦高掺铒氟化物双包层光纤Er∶ZBLAN,并在谐振腔内插入主动调Q元件,获得了工作频率为1~10kHz的2.8μm激光主动调Q脉冲输出.在工作频率为10kHz条件下,获得了最大单脉冲能量为134.5μJ、脉宽为127.3ns、峰值功率为1.1kW的脉冲输出.  相似文献

研制了一台LD侧面抽运Nd:YAP腔内三倍频447.1 nm脉冲蓝光激光器.采用列阵高频激光二极管侧面抽运Nd:YAP晶体,使用V型折叠腔,LN晶体电光调Q,输出高峰值功率的1 341.4 nm偏振基频光.选取KTP晶体Ⅱ类临界相位匹配倍频,获得670.7 nm红光.使用LBO晶体Ⅰ类临界相位匹配把670.7 nm的倍频光与1 341.4 nm的基频光进行和频,获得三倍频447.1 nm的蓝光输出.实验结果表明:优化后的V型折叠腔,可提高非线性转换效率,在平均抽运功率92.4 W时,获得了平均功率887 mW、峰值功率17.7 kW、脉宽50 ns的偏振蓝光输出,光-光转换效率为0.96%.  相似文献

An all-fiber 1.48-mum generator based on a laser-diode-pumped Yb-doped double-clad laser and a cascaded Raman wavelength converter has been developed. Second-order Raman Stokes radiation was generated in a phosphosilicate-fiber resonator formed by two pairs of Bragg gratings. A slope efficiency of the Raman converter of 48% with respect to the power emitted by the double-clad Yb laser has been achieved. We obtained an output power of 1 W at a slope efficiency of 34% with respect to the laser-diode array power, with a total optical-to-optical efficiency of 23%.  相似文献

By reasonably assuming the distribution of the pump light in laser medium, the equations about the absorption and the gain for the end-pumped lasers are applied to the side-pumped ones, and a theoretical model for laser-diode side-pumped continuous wave intracavity-frequency-doubling lasers is given, in which the thermally induced diffraction loss and the variation of the fundamental wave radii with the pump power are considered. By using a Z-type cavity, a laser-diode side-pumped continuous wave Nd:YAG/KTP green laser is realized. The threshold pump power is 15 W, and the highest output power of the green laser is 3.75 W at the pump power of 160 W, corresponding to an optical–optical slope efficiency 2.6%. The experimental results are consistent with the numerical solutions.  相似文献

The outputs from an 11-element, linear diode laser array with broad stripes have been beam combined into a single beam with a beam quality of ~20x diffraction limited in the plane of the junction. This beam combining was achieved by use of a common external cavity containing a grating, which simultaneously forces each array element to operate at a different, but controlled, wavelength and forces the beams from all the elements to overlap and propagate in the same direction. The power in the combined beam was 50% of the output from the bare laser array.  相似文献
