G. Grätzer and F. Wehrung has recently introduced the lattice tensor product, A?B, of the lattices A and B. In this note, for a finite lattice A and an arbitrary lattice B, we compute the ideal lattice of A?B, obtaining the isomorphism Id(A?B)≌A?Id B. This generalizes an earlier result of G. Grätzer and F. Wehrung proving this isomorphism for A = M_3 and B n-modular. We prove this isomorphism by utilizing the coordinatization of A?B introduced in Part I of this paper.  相似文献

G. Grätzer and F. Wehrung introduced the lattice tensor product, A B, of the lattices A and B. One of the most important properties is that for a simple and bounded lattice A, the lattice A B is a congruence-preserving extension of B. The lattice A B is defined as the set of certain subsets of A B; there is no easy test when a subset belongs to A B. A special case, M 3B, was earlier defined by G. Gräatzer and F. Wehrung as M 3, the it Boolean triple construct, defined as a subset of B 3, with a simple criterion when a triple belongs. A~recent paper of G. Grätzer and E. T. Schmidt illustrates the importance of this Boolean triple arithmetic. In this paper we show that for any finite lattice A, we can ``coordinatize" A B, that is, represent A B as a subset of B n (where n is the number of join-irreducible elements of A), and provide an effective criteria to recognize the n-tuples of elements of B that occur in this representation. To show the utility of this coordinatization, we reprove a special case of the above result: for a finite simple lattice A, the lattice A B is a congruence-preserving extension of B.  相似文献

An algebra A is said to be a congruence-preserving extension of a subalgebra B if the mapping from the congruence lattice of B to that of A, assigning to each congruence relation β on B the minimal congruence relation on A containing β, is an isomorphism. We give a necessary and sufficient condition on the congruence lattice of a subdirect product B of finitely many algebras in a congruence-distributive variety that the full direct product be a congruence-preserving extension of B. In Part I of this paper, we showed that for a finite lattice A and a bounded lattice B, this construction can be "coordinatized,'' that is, represented in B A so that the representing elements are easy to recognize. In this paper, we introduce Property ∏σ of operator algebras and prove that nest subalgebras and the finite-width CSL subalgebras of arbitrary von Neumann algebras have Property ∏σ.Finally, we show that the tensor product formula alg ML1-(×)algNL2 = algM-(×)N(L1 (×) L2) holds for any two finite-width CSLs L1 and L2 in arbitrary von Neumann algebras M and N, respectively.  相似文献

In this article, we introduce necessary and sufficient conditions for the tensor product of two convex functions to be convex. For our analysis we introduce the notions of true convexity, jet-convexity, true jet-convexity as well as true log-convexity. The links between jet-convex and log-convex functions are elaborated. As an algebraic tool, we introduce the jet product of two symmetric matrices and study some of its properties. We illustrate our results by an application from global optimization, where a convex underestimator for the tensor product of two functions is constructed as the tensor product of convex underestimators of the single functions.  相似文献

In this paper, we first introduce a lattice decomposition and finite-dimensional lattice decomposition (FDLD) for Banach lattices. Then we show that for a Banach lattice with FDLD, the following are equivalent: (i) it has the Radon-Nikodym property; (ii) it is a KB-space; (iii) it is a Levi space; and (iv) it is a σ-Levi space. We then give a sequential representation of the Fremlin projective tensor product of an atomic Banach lattice with a Banach lattice. Using this sequential representation, we show that if one of the Banach lattices X and Y is atomic, then the Fremlin projective tensor product has the Radon-Nikodym property (or, respectively, is a KB-space) if and only if both X and Y have the Radon-Nikodym property (or, respectively, are KB-spaces).  相似文献

We prove an Artin-Schelter regularity result for the method of twisted tensor products under a certain form. Such twisted tensor products, whose twisting maps are determined by the action on the generators, include Ore extensions and double Ore extensions.
