The critical properties of the N-color London model are studied in d=2+1 dimensions. The model is dualized to a theory of N vortex fields interacting through a Coulomb and a screened potential. The model with N=2 shows two anomalies in the specific heat. From the critical exponents alpha and nu, the mass of the gauge field, and the vortex correlation functions, we conclude that one anomaly corresponds to an inverted 3Dxy fixed point, while the other corresponds to a 3Dxy fixed point. There are N fixed points, namely, one corresponding to an inverted 3Dxy fixed point, and N-1 corresponding to neutral 3Dxy fixed points. This represents a novel type of quantum fluid, where superfluid modes arise out of charged condensates.  相似文献

The fixed points and invariants of Dykhne transformations are determined. It is established that they correspond to the exact solutions and duality relations for the effective characteristics of an inhomogeneous medium. The stability of the exact solutions for the effective conductivity, which are fixed points of the Dykhne transformations, is studied by bifurcation-theory methods, and a classification of these fixed points by stability type is given. It is shown that the effective conductivity tensor of a two-phase medium in magnetic and ac electric fields for certain parameters of the medium can be an unstable point of the “saddle” type.  相似文献

In the Standard Model (and MSSM), renormalization effects on neutrino mixing are generally very small and the attractive fixed points are at vanishing neutrino mixing. However for multi-Higgs extensions of the Standard Model, renormalization effects on neutrino mixing can be large and nontrivial fixed points are possible. Here we examine a simple two-Higgs model. For two flavors, maximal mixing is an attractive infrared fixed point. For three flavors, the neutrino mass matrix evolves towards large off-diagonal elements at low energies. The experimentally suggested bimaximal neutrino mixing pattern is one possible attractive infrared fixed point.  相似文献

Using the equations of motion of pulse width and chirp, we present an analytical method for designing dispersion-managed (DM) fiber systems without optical losses. We show that the initial Gaussian pulse considered for the analytical design of periodically amplified DM fiber systems with losses will propagate as a proximity fixed point. Then averaging the DM soliton fields obtained from the slow dynamics of the proximity fixed point will yield the exact fixed point.  相似文献

We discuss some examples of smooth transitive flows with physical measures supported at fixed points. We give some conditions under which stopping a flow at a point will create a Dirac physical measure at that indifferent fixed point. Using the Anosov-Katok method, we construct transitive flows on surfaces with the only ergodic invariant probabilities being Dirac measures at hyperbolic fixed points. When there is only one such point, the corresponding Dirac measure is necessarily the only physical measure with full basin of attraction. Using an example due to Hu and Young, we also construct a transitive flow on a three-dimensional compact manifold without boundary, with the only physical measure the average of two Dirac measures at two hyperbolic fixed points.  相似文献

We analyze the different degrees of accuracy of two Monte Carlo methods for the simulation of one-dimensional diffusion processes with homogeneous or spatial dependent diffusion coefficient that we assume correctly described by a differential equation. The methods analyzed correspond to fixed and Gaussian steplengths. For a homogeneous diffusion coefficient it is known that the Gaussian steplength generates exact results at fixed time steps Δt. For spatial dependent diffusion coefficients the symmetric character of the Gaussian distribution introduces an error that increases with time. As an example, we consider a diffusion coefficient with constant gradient and show that the error is not present for fixed steplength with appropriate asymmetric jump probabilities.  相似文献

Due to Poinsot’s theorem, the motion of a rigid body about a fixed point is represented as rolling without slipping of the moving hodograph of the angular velocity over the fixed one. If the moving hodograph is a closed curve, visualization of motion is obtained by the method of P.V. Kharlamov. For an arbitrary motion in an integrable problem with an axially symmetric force field the moving hodograph densely fills some two-dimensional surface and the fixed one fills a three-dimensional surface. In this paper, we consider the irreducible integrable case in which both hodographs are two-frequency curves. We obtain the equations of bearing surfaces, illustrate the main types of these surfaces. We propose a method of the so-called non-straight geometric interpretation representing the motion of a body as a superposition of two periodic motions.  相似文献

We derive the microcanonical partition function of the ideal relativistic quantum gas with fixed intrinsic angular momentum as an expansion over fixed multiplicities. We developed a group theoretical approach by generalizing known projection techniques to the Poincaré group. Our calculation is carried out in a quantum field framework and applies to particles with any spin. It extends known results in the literature in that it does not introduce any large volume approximation, and it takes particle spin fully into account. We provide expressions of the microcanonical partition function at fixed multiplicities in the limiting classical case of large volumes and large angular momenta and in the grand-canonical ensemble. We also derive the microcanonical partition function of the ideal relativistic quantum gas with fixed parity.  相似文献

In architectural acoustics, noise control and environmental noise, there are often steady-state signals for which it is necessary to measure the spatial average, sound pressure level inside rooms. This requires using fixed microphone positions, mechanical scanning devices, or manual scanning. In comparison with mechanical scanning devices, the human body allows manual scanning to trace out complex geometrical paths in three-dimensional space. To determine the efficacy of manual scanning paths in terms of an equivalent number of uncorrelated samples, an analytical approach is solved numerically. The benchmark used to assess these paths is a minimum of five uncorrelated fixed microphone positions at frequencies above 200 Hz. For paths involving an operator walking across the room, potential problems exist with walking noise and non-uniform scanning speeds. Hence, paths are considered based on a fixed standing position or rotation of the body about a fixed point. In empty rooms, it is shown that a circle, helix, or cylindrical-type path satisfy the benchmark requirement with the latter two paths being highly efficient at generating large number of uncorrelated samples. In furnished rooms where there is limited space for the operator to move, an efficient path comprises three semicircles with 45°-60° separations.  相似文献

The directed polymer on disordered hierarchical lattices is studied using an exact renormalization scheme. The phase transition is studied and a hyperscaling relation is derived. We give a definition of a universal entangling machine that entangles a system in an unknown state to a specially prepared ancilla. We describe explicitly such a machine for one qubit; i.e., we show how a qubit in an a priori unknown state can be entangled to a four-level ancilla by means of a unitary transformation. As a result, a fixed state-independent amount of entanglement is generated in exchange for a fixed degradation of qubit state fidelity.  相似文献

为了校正大扫描视场机载共形窗口引入的像差,提出一种基于固定校正板和透镜阵列的静态校正方法。首先使用固定校正板校正静态像差;然后在像面前安置固定的透镜阵列,利用透镜阵列中的各个透镜单元分别校正不同扫描角度的动态像差;最后基于所提方法设计应用在机载共形光学系统中的像差校正器。设计结果表明,所提方法在±42°的扫描视场范围内能够良好地校正共形窗口引入的像差。与其他动态或静态校正方法相比,所提方法可以实现大扫描视场机载共形光学系统像差的校正,同时降低机载共形光学系统的质量,提高系统的稳定性。  相似文献

We calculate both the micromechanical response and bulk elastic constants of composites of rods embedded in elastic media. We find two fixed points for Poisson's ratio with respect to rod density: there is an unstable fixed point for Poisson's ratio =1/2 (an incompressible system) and a stable fixed point for Poisson's ratio =1/4 (a compressible system). We also derive approximate expressions for the elastic constants for arbitrary rod density, which agree with exact results for both low and high density. These results may help to explain recent experiments [Phys. Rev. Lett. 102, 188303 (2009)10.1103/PhysRevLett.102.188303] that reported compressibility for composites of microtubules in filamentous actin networks.  相似文献

It has been suggested that the existence of a non-Gaussian fixed point in general relativity might cure the ultraviolet problems of this theory. Such a fixed point is connected to an effective running of the gravitational coupling. Suppose that a one-dimensional harmonic oscillator is subjected to instantaneous kicks q times per natural period, with the kick amplitude varying sinusoidally with position. Viewed stroboscopically in phase space, the motion has an infinitely extended periodic or quasiperiodic array of fixed points, as well as an infinite web of chaotic orbits. In the present work (restricted to the quasiperiodic case q=5) the fixed points are classified according to their local linear behavior, which depends essentially on a single variable, the residue R. With the aid of a five-dimensional embedding, a function rho(R) is calculated which for infinitesimal DeltaR gives the average density of fixed points in the plane with residue in the range (R,R+DeltaR). The location and strength of the singularities and discontinuities of rho(R) are extracted from relatively simple transcendental equations, and this makes possible efficient numerical determination of rho(R). An exact equality for the densities of positive-R and negative-R fixed points is proved using decagonal symmetry and the integral representation of rho(R). For parameter values below the period-doubling threshold, there are no unstable fixed points with R greater, similar 0, and so we have equality of the densities of stable centers and unstable saddles. The free and controlled motion of an arbitrary two-dimensional body with a moving internal mass and constant circulation around the body in an ideal fluid is studied. Bifurcation analysis of the free motion is performed (under the condition of a fixed internal mass). It is shown that the body can be moved to a given point by varying the position of the internal mass. Some problems related to the presence of a nonzero drift of the body with a fixed internal mass are noted.  相似文献

为了解决固定位置的声/振动干扰源引起的管道泄漏声检测的虚警或者漏点定位错误问题,利用泄漏信号源和固定干扰源之间的独立性,通过盲卷源分离算法得到泄漏信号在一定代价函数下的最优估计,并将该估计作为输入信号从检测信号中自适应预测得到泄漏信号,这样就可以保留泄漏信号中的时延信息。对实际检测信号的处理表明,应用提出来的方法可以有效的去除检测信号中来自固定干扰源的噪声,同时不损失泄漏信号中的时延信息,可在固定干扰源存在时实现管道泄漏有效检测和准确定位。   相似文献
