We study theE-dependence of the Lyapounov exponent <(E)> of an electron with energyE in the one dimensional Anderson model with off diagonal disorder. In the neighbourhood of the band centre we find for nonzero disorder E)>log–1 E0 forE0, but all even moments of Re(E) diverge logarithmically. As the probability of Re (E)=0 decreases to zero forE0 we conclude that the electron is always exponentially localised.  相似文献

The dynamics of short distance interaction is considered from viewpoint of the quark field theory. If the effective coupling of quarks (the invariant charge(p 2)) decreases with distance (with increasingp 2) the field picture unifies different phenomenological models: reggeology in the region of smallp and partonology in the region of highp but(p 2 ) lnp 2 1 and predict deviations with a subsequent increase ofp . A character of the deviations depends on the behaviour of whenp 2. The variants of the asymptotic freedom (0) and scale invariance (g 2 0 ) are discussed. We consider the thermodynamic pressurep(, ) of a classical system of particles with the two-body interaction potentialq(r)+ v K(r), where is the number of space dimensions, is a positive parameter, and is the chemical potential. We prove rigorously, for hard-core potentialsq(r) and for a very general class of functionsK(s), that the limit 0 of the pressurep(, ) exists and is given by where the limit and the supremum can be interchanged. Here is a certain class of nonnegative, Riemann integrable functions,D is a cube of volume |D|, anda 0() is the free energy density of a system withK=0 and density . We compute upper and lower bounds for the canonical ion-ion distribution functiong 11 (N) (r) of the two-dimensional Coulomb gas for smallr and 1<<2, where is the plasma parameter. Both bounds are proportional tor 2-/(-1), which proves thatg 11 (N) (r) behaves asr 2-, as conjectured by Hansen and Viot. We conjecture that, in the thermodynamic limit,g 11(r) ~ 2(-1)-1(r/a)2-, wherea=(n)–1/2 is the mean interionic distance. Velocities and other features of propagating fronts in the lattice-gas model analyzed by Bramsonet al. are computed by Monte Carlo simulation. The propagation velocity() is found to converge slowly to its asymptotic dependence on the exchange-rate parameter. The number density of occupied sites in the interaction zone (extending from the forwardmost occupied to the rearmost unoccupied site) appears to converge to 2/3 for large. Spatial profiles of site occupancy and interface number density for finite are compared to the profiles originally computed by Fisher using the differential equation obeyed in the large- limit. The magnetic dipole interaction of the 150 keV state of177Lu in an environment of metallic ytterbium has been investigated by time-differential perturbed angular correlation experiments. The measurements were performed in an external magnetic field of 0.4 T at room temperature. Two independent measurements at different - cascades give the same Larmor precession frequency. From the weighted average the magnetic dipole moment of the 150 keV state is derived as =+5.5(3) K. From the angular correlation coefficient A22=–0.042(7) of the (139–150) keV - cascade the mixing ratio =+0.21(4) is deduced. The coefficient A22=+0.015(7) of the (1080–150) keV - cascade yields the mixing ratio =+0.08(4).  相似文献

We study the stimulated emission spectra arising from the emission of a laser photon by two excited states of a three-level atom interacting with a laser field at low intensities. The lifetimes of the stimulated photons emitted by the two excited states are much longer than those emitted spontaneously, while the intensities of the induced peaks take negative values indicating that amplification occurs at low frequencies. The ratio of the intensities of the light emitted by the excited states |3 > and |2 > of the atom is proportional to (3/2)1/2, where 3 and 2 are the radiative decay rates of the spontaneously emitted photons by the excited states |3 > and |2 > into the ground state |1 > of the atom, respectively. An absorption spectrum is induced into the ground state of the atom by the laser field. The competition between induced absorption and stimulated emission at low frequencies without population inversion is considered in the low-intensity limit of the laser field. It is shown that for values of 3/2 > 1 the relative intensity (height) of the induced peak takes positive values implying that the process of the induced absorption dominates. As the ratio 3/2 increases, the height of the induced peak decreases and vanishes for values of 3/2 < 400. For values of 3/2 > 400, the height of the induced peak becomes negative indicating that the process of the stimulated emission (amplification) is likely to occur at low frequencies. The formation of impurity-vacancy agglomerates starting with the trapping of monovacancies was studied using a combination of three complementary techniques applied to the system InCu: Perturbed -angular correlation, ion channeling and channeling of conversion electrons. In the special type of the quark model we obtain the ratio=h A/hV of the axial (hA) and vector (hV) form factors for the decays e ¯ve and K e¯ve different from unity. The low-energy theorem, relating the electric polarizability of the charged pion with the ratio, is analyzed. It is shown that < 1 corresponds to , calculated by accounting the contribution of the scalar meson(700) into the amplitude of the Compton effect on the pion. Gates and Penrose have given criteria under which classical gases with weak long-range interactions fail to be described by the van der Waals equation with Maxwell's rule. Unfortunately, examples of equations of state for such systems have not yet been produced. This paper examines the Gates-Penrose class of interactions-i.e.,U (r)=q(r)+(r), in the limit0, where the Fourier transform (p) has a minimum at a nonzero value ofp-for the spherical model on a one-dimensional lattice. Free energy and magnetization isotherms are computed; it is seen that there is a phase transition, but that the zero-field spontaneous magnetization is always zero (a parahelicoidal phase). However, the pair-correlation function may exhibit either long-range order or the appearance of oscillation.  相似文献

The possibility to obtain information on n scattering at intermediate energies from the reaction dnp is analyzed. To this aim, the differential cross sectiond 3 /d ,d n dE n and the scattering asymmetry with linearly polarized photons are calculated at photon energies 100 to 400 MeV in the diagrammatic approach. The pole diagrams of the impulse approximation are evaluated with realistic n and p scattering amplitudes. One-loop diagrams withnp rescattering in the final state and with meson-exchange and isobar currents are taken into account as well. The main contribution to the differential cross sectiond 3 /d ,d n dE n in the kinematics of quasi-free n scattering arises from the neutron pole diagram. The correction due to other diagrams is typically –30% to –10% and decreases with increasing photon energy and momentum transfer. The sensitivity of the cross sections to the magnitude of the neutron electric polarizability and to the sign of the 02 decay constant is demonstrated.  相似文献

124I has been implanted into iron foils using the recoil technique with the123Sb(,3n) reaction. The temperature dependence of the anisotropies was followed down to 16 mK. Using the lattice site occupations known from mass separator implanted IFe sources a magnetic moment ¦¦=1.14±0.08 nm was derived for the 2 ground state of124I. This value can be understood if the three g7/2 protons above Z=50 are coupled to spin 9/2, and the odd neutron is in the h11/2 shell.Anisotropies of 18 transitions in124Te were determined, resulting in 5 new unique spin assignments; multipole mixing ratios were extracted. Of these (E2/M1;723)=–2.0±0.4 conflicts with the value adopted from angular correlation experiments. By comparison of () and NO anisotropies, a better choice between the solutions for (E2/M1;1489) could be made. The -radiation from145Eu has been studied by means of an anti-Compton spectrometer, the construction and operation of which are described. Altogether 91 -transitions have been observed, 20 of them for the first time. A decay scheme of145Eu has been constructed incorporating 85 -transitions. Low-lying excited states in145Sm have been analysed within the quasiparticle-phonon nuclear model as well as within the interacting boson-fermion model. Some systematic features in the positions of low-lying positive parity levels inN=83 nuclei have been revealed.  相似文献

This paper studies the rate of convergence to equilibrium of Glauber dynamics (Gibbs Sampler) for a system ofN Ising spins with random energy (at inverse temperature >0). For each of the 2 N spin configurations the energy is drawn independently from the values 0 and-logN with probabilities 1-N –7, resp.N (>0), and is kept fixed during the evolution. The main result is an estimate of the coupling time of two Glauber dynamics starting from different configurations and coupled via the same updating noise. AsN the system exhibits two dynamical phase transitions: (1) at =1 the coupling time changes from polynomial (>1) to stretched exponential (<1) inN; (2) if <1, then at = the almost coupling time [i.e., the first time that the two dynamics are within distanceo(N)] changes from polynomial (<) to stretched exponential (>) inN. The techniques used to control the randomness in the coupling are static and dynamic large-deviation estimates and stochastic domination arguments.  相似文献

Expressions are obtained for the spectral-angular characteristics of the radiation in two limiting cases: 1 and 1 ( is the angle of deflection of the electron in the field, and is the energy of the electron in units of mc2).
