For the integrable system on e(3, 2) found by Sokolov and Tsiganov we obtain explicit equations of some invariant 4-dimensional manifolds on which the induced systems are almost everywhere Hamiltonian with two degrees of freedom. These subsystems generalize the famous Appelrot classes of critical motions of the Kowalevski top. For each subsystem we point out a commutative pair of independent integrals, describe the sets of degeneration of the induced symplectic structure. With the help of the obtained invariant relations, for each subsystem we calculate the outer type of its points considered as critical points of the initial system with three degrees of freedom.  相似文献

We continue the previously started study of the development of a direct method for constructing the Lax pair for a given integrable equation. This approach does not require any addition assumptions about the properties of the equation. As one equation of the Lax pair, we take the linearization of the considered nonlinear equation, and the second equation of the pair is related to its generalized invariant manifold. The problem of seeking the second equation reduces to simple but rather cumbersome calculations and, as examples show, is effectively solvable. It is remarkable that the second equation of this pair allows easily finding a recursion operator describing the hierarchy of higher symmetries of the equation. At first glance, the Lax pairs thus obtained differ from usual ones in having a higher order or a higher matrix dimensionality. We show with examples that they reduce to the usual pairs by reducing their order. As an example, we consider an integrable double discrete system of exponential type and its higher symmetry for which we give the Lax pair and construct the conservation laws.  相似文献

We present a new discrete integrable coupling system by using the matrix Lax pair U, V ∈ sl(4). A novel spectral problem of modified Toda lattice soliton hierarchy is considered. Then, a new discrete integrable coupling equation hierarchy is obtained through the method of the enlarged Lax pair. Finally, we obtain the Hamiltonian structure of the integrable coupling system of the soliton equation hierarchy using the matrix-form trace identity. This discrete integrable coupling system includes a kind of a modified Toda lattice hierarchy.  相似文献

In the examples of sine-Gordon and Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equations, we propose a direct method for using dressing chains (discrete symmetries) to proliferate integrable equations. We give a recurrent procedure (with a finite number of steps in general) that allows the step-by-step production of an integrable system and its L-A pair from the known L-A pair of an integrable equation. Using this algorithm, we reproduce a number of known results for integrable systems of the KdV type. We also find a new integrable equation of the sine-Gordon series and investigate its simplest soliton solution of the double π-kink type. Translated from Teoreticheskaya i Matematicheskaya Fizika. We study infinite-dimensional Liouville–Lax integrable nonlinear dynamical systems. For these systems, we consider the problem of finding an appropriate set of initial conditions leading to typical solutions such as solitons and traveling waves. We develop an approach to the solution of this problem based on the exact reduction of a given nonlinear dynamical system to its finite-dimensional invariant submanifolds and the subsequent investigation of the system of ordinary differential equations obtained by qualitative analysis. The efficiency of the approach proposed is demonstrated by the examples of the Korteweg–de Vries equation, the modified nonlinear Schrödinger equation, and a hydrodynamic model.  相似文献

We consider an integrable Hamiltonian system with n degrees of freedom whose first integrals are invariant under the symplectic action of a compact Lie group G. We prove that the singular Lagrangian foliation associated to this Hamiltonian system is symplectically equivalent, in a G-equivariant way, to the linearized foliation in a neighborhood of a compact singular nondegenerate orbit. We also show that the nondegeneracy condition is not equivalent to the nonresonance condition for smooth systems.  相似文献

We consider a class of dynamical systems on a compact Lie group G with a left-invariant metric and right-invariant nonholonomic constraints (so-called LR systems) and show that, under a generic condition on the constraints, such systems can be regarded as generalized Chaplygin systems on the principle bundle G \to Q = G/H, H being a Lie subgroup. In contrast to generic Chaplygin systems, the reductions of our LR systems onto the homogeneous space Q always possess an invariant measure. We study the case G = SO(n), when LR systems are ultidimensional generalizations of the Veselova problem of a nonholonomic rigid body motion which admit a reduction to systems with an invariant measure on the (co)tangent bundle of Stiefel varieties V(k, n) as the corresponding homogeneous spaces. For k = 1 and a special choice of the left-invariant metric on SO(n), we prove that after a time substitution the reduced system becomes an integrable Hamiltonian system describing a geodesic flow on the unit sphere Sn-1. This provides a first example of a nonholonomic system with more than two degrees of freedom for which the celebrated Chaplygin reducibility theorem is applicable for any dimension. In this case we also explicitly reconstruct the motion on the group SO(n).  相似文献

Some pathological properties of the first-return integrals are explored. In particular it is proved that there exist Riemann improper integrable functions which are first-return recoverable almost everywhere, but not first-return integrable, with respect to each trajectory. It is also proved that the usual convergence theorems fail to be true for the first-return integrals.  相似文献

Starting from a Tu Guizhang‘s isospectral‘problem, a Lax pair is obtained by means of Tu scheme ( we call it Tu Lax pair ). By applying a gauge transformation between matrices, the Tu Lax pair is changed to its equivalent Lax pair with the traces of spectral matrices being zero, whose compatibility gives rise to a type of Tu hierarchy of equations. By making use of a high order loop algebra constructed by us, an integrable coupling system of the Tu hierarchy of equations are presented. Especially, as reduction cases, the integrable couplings of the celebrated AKNS hierarchy, TD hierarchy and Levi hierarchy are given at the same time.  相似文献

Consider an ordinary differential equation which has a Lax pair representation , where A(x) is a matrix polynomial with a fixed regular leading coefficient and the matrix B(x) depends only on A(x). Such an equation can be considered as a completely integrable complex Hamiltonian system. We show that the generic complex invariant manifold of this Lax pair is an affine part of a non-compact commutative algebraic group – the generalized Jacobian of the spectral curve with its points at “infinity” identified. Moreover, for suitable B(x), the Hamiltonian vector field defined by the Lax pair on the generalized Jacobian is translation-invariant. We construct invariant difference schemes for the parametric system of Ermakov equations. By using a difference analog of the Noether theorem, we write out the first three difference integrals of the system. A Hamiltonian system on a Poisson manifold M is called integrable if it possesses sufficiently many commuting first integrals f 1, … f s which are functionally independent on M almost everywhere. We study the structure of the singular set K where the differentials df 1, …, df s become linearly dependent and show that in the case of bi-Hamiltonian systems this structure is closely related to the properties of the corresponding pencil of compatible Poisson brackets. The main goal of the paper is to illustrate this relationship and to show that the bi-Hamiltonian approach can be extremely effective in the study of singularities of integrable systems, especially in the case of many degrees of freedom when using other methods leads to serious computational problems. Since in many examples the underlying bi-Hamiltonian structure has a natural algebraic interpretation, the technology developed in this paper allows one to reformulate analytic and topological questions related to the dynamics of a given system into pure algebraic language, which leads to simple and natural answers.  相似文献

By modifying the procedure of binary nonlinearization for the AKNS spectral problem and its adjoint spectral problem under an implicit symmetry constraint,we obtain a finite dimensional system from the Lax pair of the nonlinear Schr¨odinger equation.We show that this system is a completely integrable Hamiltonian system.  相似文献
